If someone had told me five years ago that I could make a living doing what I do now, I wouldn’t have believed them. I spend my days making art and products, and sharing them with people. The most amazing part of me is that I can paint whatever I want, with no compromises. No one can tell to make changes or steer me into a direction that I’m not comfortable with. It has been a bumpy road for sure, but through everything, the people who I could always rely on were my fans and followers. They have believed in me and continuously supported me through Patreon, conventions, and my online store, and by taking my classes, and by sharing my work on social media. The fact that you are holding this book in your hands right now means that you are one of those very supportive people too. Thank you. I don’t know where my creative journey will lead me, but I know now that it is not finished and that I am not alone! DJAMILA

I am so tired this weekend, I feel like I cannot wake up.

I really want to run to the store and find some jewelry cleaner and I need to grab a couple grocery items. I'm also lacking in a couple maintenance art supplies. I need a replacement pitt artist pen in white and my white ink dried up and also I need more masking fluid.

yesterday my husbands unit had a work-softball-game. We grilled burgers and hotdogs and it was actually a decent time. Though I did get a bit sunburnt. The worst is, I was wearing jeans with a single hole in one knee and that knee took the brunt of the sun. IT burns so bad.

otherwise I'm having comical problems still with one of my banks and also a food delivery service. I don't feel like I have enough space in this one blog to describe the issues with both or it'd be a novel.

I also had to schedule an appointment to renew my ID card because it expires here in a couple months.

And I just sort of realized I think I need continuing education points for here in Texas to renew my nursing license. It expires in October but its already essentially may.

I've been playing Octopath Traveller on the switch but I've been kind of feeling the urge to play a traditional mario game.

I'm unsure if I'll manage to do anything more artsy before this weekend is up.

Spring cleaning...?

Been getting tired of my old name/handle online as Zofia. I really wanted a refresh and have been enjoying going by Aev for some time now so that's what I'd prefer folks call me 💗 With this change I am also transitioning my art handle away from artofzofia to just aevari going forward as well. My art blog: @aevari my commission website: aevari.carrd.co my art twitter: @aevari_art my kofi: @aevari_art I still have a lot of updating to do on my social media/website/paypal to reflect the change in the coming weeks, especially as I prepare to launch my commissions again in early May.

I have artofzofia here on tumblr and twitter that will be redirecting to the new urls in case folks try searching me up and haven't caught up to the news yet. At least for a little while before I ditch it entirely.

Art can often feel like a solitary journey, but over the years, I found that the important people around me made a huge difference. My family, especially my parents and grandma, have always been supportive of my chosen path, even early on when things were much more uncertain. Many of my close friends have stood behind me with kindness and optimism. Thank you for staying strong when I may have felt a bit shaky or uncertain about the future. Without your support, presence, and love, I would most definitely not be here today. And of course, my thanks extend to all the lovely folks at 3dtotal, who have given me the opportunity and assistance to create not one, but two artbooks to share with the world. Across the kitchen, the sound of plates clinking together made her actually look up. Mouse was on his toes to reach for the cheap plates on the top shelf, the ones that they didn't take out very often because they were such a hassle to hand wash. The way he was leaning up and stretching his arms made his shirt ride up, revealing a strip of skin between the bottom of his shirt and his jeans.
