The last shot I’ve made of Kaeru. I’ve had to put him on the back burner because I have paid work at the moment (yay!) so until that’s up, I’ll be doing things that don’t take as much time getting set up in. 

He’s basically done but I want to check colours and make a full body gradient for him and do a few designs on his weapon. And I also want to rig him (in a basic manner) so he can have an idle animation (and maybe a spell animation too).

Light surfer

I did a piece for the art contest on Cube Brush. The contest was Art War 2, light versus dark. I chose the light. 

I created a futuristic soldier that uses the power of light to combat against a dark invasion. Most attacks occur in from the sky so a branch of soldiers had to be created to combat an aerial invasion. Sky boarding is the best option to maneuver and attack in the sky. While in light mode, the ability to have access to a strong powerful energy, can be used to defend but also a way to propel the user, thanks to the armor.

Most of my inspiration for this character was from Overwatch and Eureka 7.

I’m participating in CubeBrush’s ArtWar2 contest, where artist have to design a warrior to fight on the side of Darkness or Light. I chose the latter, and am developing Saturday Knight, a Paladin / roller disco dancer (THERE’S a class you don’t see every day!) who has disco balls for armor and a cadre of cherubs following her around to make sure there’s light bouncing off of the pauldrons and breastplates.
