SALVATORE INKTOBER 1. A SOUR MIRACLE

Leslie Burke was born in February of 1948, to Westley and Anna Burke. She was a sickly young child, born far too small and hardly able to breathe. By all accounts, her survival was a miracle, following hours and hours of agonizing labor and tireless work by the hospital staff. Despite it all, though, Leslie survived, her tiny lungs rattling as she drew in each ragged breath. The moment she could, she began to scream, wailing at the doctors with everything she had. She grew into an angry young girl, all stiff upper lip and clenched fists. The miracle had soured, but still she persisted, determined in the face of a world she felt was against her from the beginning.

aaaand the first entry in my salvatore-themed inktober is complete!!! i ended up changing the wording on this prompt a bit to better match the vibes i had in mind for it.

Svern felt the tug on the back of his jacket, and his fingers instantly closed around the curve of the skull. Maybe Jasper had removed him from the bookshelf, but in the process Svern had ensured that the very spooky skull was removed from the bookshelf along with him.

"Wooow," he exclaimed. "I didn't pick you for a strong guy. Tall, yeah, but that doesn't automatically mean strong! You know?"

He was still holding onto the skull, with both hands. He also failed to acknowledge what Jasper had said to him, definitely deliberately.

omg- so I think my favourite show changes a lot, currently Bones, but anime favourite would be a three way tie hahaha~ (j/jk, b/sd, and d/emon slayer atm~)

Comfort show wise, I don't have a ton. Most often if I need comfort I watch G/ame Grumps monopoly videos haha~ It's my go-to comfort entertainment, and usually a sign that I'm feeling a bit stressed~ But I think I'd also say C/riminal Minds, despite how dark (and non-comforting) it can be! It's just been one I've watched for so long, the characters mean a lot to me, and I know all the plot points by heart already~

(though lately I've also been watching B/luey. Just so gentle and soft but with deep meanings and sometimes you just wanna be a kid for a bit ToT)

I'm more recently into anime, but B/ungo Stray Dogs Wan has been an absolute comfort I've been going back to recently. It's just silly, and easy, but with a few deeper moments too. It helps take me out of my own head a little~ (L/ife Lessons with U/ramichi O/niisan as well~ dives a little darker, but is still such a fun show!~)

Ink quirks an eyebrow at the older man's comment, the earnestness of it bringing a little smile to his face. He can't quite tell if the man is drunk already or anything, if that might be the cause of the sudden statement, but regardless he finds it charming, in a way. As he finishes making the man's drink, he chuckles quietly.

"Well, then I hope he knows that he's lucky to have a friend like you," he says. "It takes a special brand of loyalty to stand by someone regardless of what they may or may not have done." Even if Ink doesn't know exactly who the man is talking about, nor what that friend may have done, he can certainly respect that kind of loyalty.

There's a sad, almost wistful note to Ink's voice as he speaks, one that he immediately hates and tries to stamp down. He can only hope that the man doesn't notice and pick up on it, because he is not about to spill his guts to a customer.

Hoping to quickly move past that, Ink decides to move the conversation on. "You said his name was Jonah, right?" he asks. "What's he like? I mean, if it's not weird for me to ask." As he speaks, he slides the man's drink over to him.

The Morning Glory is a little busier than usual today, but he has some time to chat at least for now.

this is one of the worst posts i’ve ever made

ANYWAY here’s my list, in no particular order, of Scoob and Shag characters that i find very attractive (in the sense of appealing designs and personalities), as well as my reasoning why, with screencaps from the comic as evidence. this is going to contain out of context spoilers for those who haven’t read the comic, but that’s okay i’ll just put it under the cut. also going under the cut b/c it’s going to be long as fuck.

She’s a very pretty lady and has a very fun personality, wHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME- Also she just seems like she’d be really fun to be friends with, so that’s the main reason I love her so much even tho she’s a very minor character. I am really interested to see if she and Ev will have a larger role as the story continues, also.

Ev

Okay real talk half the reason I adore Ev so much is that I 100% interpret them as non-binary. You can’t convince me otherwise. As far as I remember, pronouns haven’t been used in reference to them, so I’m claiming them <3 Even that aside I think they’re very cute!!!!! And like Sasha they seem like they’d be fun to be around.

“Real” Shag (idk if that’s his ~canon name~ but that’s what I call him)

Listen. I think morally dubious men with facial hair in fiction are hot. Doubly so when they have really interesting backstories and motivations. I’m obsessed with this shitlord and I want to see him again, and I’d love for him to have a longer character arc.

Inspector Gadget

You are not allowed to make fun of me <3 Okay yeah idk how to explain it I’m just kind of obsessed with him. I love the implications of him as a character, but also he has a really nice design. He’s handsome. I like him a lot.

Shag

I don’t know why I didn’t list him sooner but anyway Shag. My beloved. He’s so cute and handsome and I want to kiss his face. I’m usually a sucker for protagonists that are full of heart and hope and just want to do the best they can, and I think he really epitomizes that.

This is very much a sidenote but I also really like how generally casual the comic is regarding his disability?? Like idk I just think that’s nice to see.

This is where I say y’all really are not allowed to fucking bully me. I’m a furry. This is well-established if you look at my bio. And I just think Bugs in part two is very pretty and I really love how Dingo draws her. I also adore how she’s depicted also, and yeah I’m a sucker for morally grey bastards!!!! Especially ones who want to do good ultimately, even if their methods aren’t always the greatest.
