20 things I love about Ash Lynx. 🌅❤️‍🔥🦁🎂🎉

It's the 12th of August.

Ya know what that means?

It's a big huge loving Happy Birthday to our Ash!!!!!

For his birthday, I wanted to write something, so here's a very appreciative appreciation post for my favourite character of all time.

Here's just 20 reasons I love him with all my heart and soul.

1. His birth name. Aslan Jade Callenreese. His mum (or maybe just Yoshida being Yoshida) even made up "Aslan" to mean dawn/daybreak in hebrew when it actually means lion in turkish. However I like to interperet that, similar to a lion's mane, the sun shimmers with a golden light, and that's what his old lady meant when she named him Aslan to supposedly mean dawn.

2. His hair is also golden and reminds me of a lion's mane! And it's long. I love men with long hair!

3. His inner child. Ash has always been childish at heart and his most treasured memories are his childhood with Griffin. I love that as he opens up to Eiji, he starts showing his childish side more and more too.

4. His fear of pumpkins 🤭 mf is scared of a vegetable for christ sake!!! What a goofy thing to be afraid of. Cute though.

5. His jokes. Shit like telling Eiji to go watch Sesame Street, or being given an inkblot test at the hospital, the researcher asking what the inkblot sheet looks like, and he responds "Your wife". Countless examples of this cheeky fucker's one liners!

6. Speaking of which, that attitude he has. He's brutally honest, never backs down, says it like it is, and is unfiltered. He's smart whilst cutting the bullshit.

7. He knows how to lead, he sets goals clearly and he's strong and unwavering whilst not being outright cruel.

8. His fiery energy, especially being a Leo (more lion theming hehe) he's sucha a passionate person and that's a trait I both relate to and admire.

9. He remains loyal to his friends, through thick and thin, and even tries to understand people he has a bias against (Max for example, before they became like father and son.)

10. Despite being a gang leader, he does genuinely care for human life and doesn't like people dying for no good reason. Man's got morals.

11. His perseverance. Despite the cruel world trying to tear him apart time and time again in every possible way, he carried on with his investigation and his fight because he knew it was the right thing.

12. His intelligence! The dude can write advanced essays on politics and science and he does so for actual useful research reasons, not just to be a smartass.

13. He's the kind of person who drinks milk straight out of the jug. No, seriously. Look at this:

Absolute madlad.

14. His fashion sense! I love his denim jackets, his hoodies, his ripped jeans, even that plain boring ass white shirt he loves to wear so much!

15. He agrees with me that beans are fucking gross. I don't blame him at all for being so petty about natto!

16. He's canonically bisexual. (This isn't debatable, his two canon crushes are Eiji and a girl he liked when he was 14. If you insist he's gay or straight you can get your biphobic ass outta here.) It means a lot to me as a bi person to have that sort of representation, plus it explains a lot of things, like the aforementioned hoodies and denim jackets (big same!).

17. He's the kinda guy who sits to read a good book. I'm kinda envious of his habit to read things that aren't just from a screen, but I also really want him to read to me. Storytelling podcast with Ash Lynx anyone?

18. His relationship with Eiji. They bring out the best in each other. Eiji helps Ash open up and express the emotions, good and bad, within him, whilst Ash inspires and helps out Eiji to get stronger, more independent, and more confident in himself and his abilities. Easily my favourite relationship of all time. They compliment each other perfectly and are so lucky to have each other.

19. His kindness and protectiveness towards children. He of course had a lot of respect and fondness towards Skip, and inspired Max and Jessica to become better parents to little Michael. He knows how vulnerable kids can be, and wants to protect them from violence and abuse. I love that he refuses to let these vicious cycles of parental neglect and child abuse continue.

20. His ability to love beyond all else. Love is what motivated him to save his friends and allies, take revenge for his brother and others he lost, and protect people from atrocities. Despite everything he went through Ash was, is and always will be that loving playful, childish at heart boy who cares for his loved ones beyond all comprehension. His love for Eiji and his friends expands beyond the universe.

And that folks, is just 20 reasons why I love Ash from the deepest part of my spirit. He has inspired me in so many ways that I cannot even begin to go into right now, but just know thar he is an absolutely incredible character with such an important impact.

Thank you, Aslan. I love you so so much and I hope you have an amazing day in Japan with your husband. 💕💖💞💗

The Eiji | ShorAshEiji

Summary: who knows~ 😌

They were at it again.

Well, more like Shorter was the one at it again. Ash saw, not without an amused smile on his lips, how one of his boyfriends was bullying the other with the oh, so 'terrible tickle attack', that Eiji used to call… acting as if he didn't like it, that silly boy.

This was not something unusual in their relationship, Ash would be startled by Eiji's sudden hysterical laughter filling their whole house as Shorter's evil fingers found all of Eiji's weakest spots (that were not few), and abused them with, to be honest, scary precision, making poor Eiji let out the funniest and most adorable sounds ever.

Ash was not one to participate in those sudden outbursts of one sided tickle fights, but he liked to watch, enjoying, perhaps a little too much, Eiji's happy expression and his weak, ticklish body jolting and squirming under Shorter's fingers.

It wasn't that he didn't want to also tickle Eiji until he was shrieking Ash's name out, he did, but Ash felt a bit awkward doing it himself. He could tease Eiji until he was blushing to his ears, but the touchy feeling interactions... well, he was still working on it.

And Shorter knew he was working on it, so Ash was not surprised when they both locked eyes and Shorter broke into a wider grin, making Ash narrow his eyes and be amazed by the fact that Eiji was still shrieking because Shorter hadn't stopped clawing at his exposed stomach.

"What?" Ash asked, arching and eyebrow.

"Hey, Ash," Shorter started as he let Eiji catch his breath. "You seem interested in joining us."

He tried to make it sound like a question, but it came out as a straight affirmation that had Ash blushing a little as he looked at Eiji letting out gaspy, residual giggles as he lowered his shirt to cover his stomach again, Ash chuckled and shook his head.

"I was just enjoying the view," he said, causing Eiji to look at him and Ash winked. "Eiji's smile is pretty."

Eiji huffed in response and was about to get up, but Shorter pressed a hand flat against his chest, gently but firmly pushing him back onto the bed. Ash looked at him curiously.

"Well, I'd recommend you join in on the fun," Shorter said with a bright smile. He also had a pretty one, even if it usually meant trouble.

Ash hummed and then shook his head, chuckling softly when Eiji squeaked out a protest.

"I'd rather just watch, I wouldn't know how to do it properly like you."

His answer made Shorter smile even brighter, if that was even possible, and he even laughed a little, shaking his head and waving his hand up and down.

"Ah, don't worry about it!" He said, looking at Eiji in that way that said 'you're doomed', Eiji froze on the spot. "I can teach you the recipe!"

Ash tilted his head to the side, frowning a little. "What? What recipe?"

Shorter chuckled, "The recipe to make the most perfect 'Ticklish Eiji'," he said, so proud of himself.

"W-Wha-?! N-No, wait!"

Ash blinked a couple of times, still trying to process what Shorter just said. He looked at Eiji, who was desperately, (but with the cutest of smiles pulling at his lips), trying to escape, but Shorter kept pressing him back down onto the bed with a single hand.

Then he looked at Shorter, who was grinning so wildly, making something inside Ash's chest flutter. So he really wanted to make him participate in these activities, huh? Well, he couldn't deny his fingers felt a little itchy every time he saw Shorter tickling Eiji... So why not?

He chuckled and both his boyfriends looked at him. "Well, I'm certainly not that good at cooking."

"N-No!" Eiji squeaked and Shorter laughed.

"Oh don't worry, you only have to pay close attention, this recipe is quite easy to make," he said, looking at Eiji with wild, playful eyes. "Right, Eiji?"

"N-No! A-Ash, you don't need to-"

"Okay, let's start!" Shorter said, turning to look at Ash. "You will only need one ingredient for this recipe and that's an Eiji, ah but it has to be a ticklish one, you see."

Ash laughed. How was Shorter so cringy?

"Okay, noted."

Shorter nodded once. "Very well, now. Once you have your ingredient, the first thing you gotta do is pin the Eiji down," he said, looking at Ash and pointing a finger to their writhing Eiji. "The Eiji can get super squirmy when he tries to escape, but we don't want him to escape, so we have to pin him down. Arms up, above his head exposing his whole torso... like this."

He gathered both of Eiji's wrists in one of his hands and easily lifted them up, making Eiji arch his back away from the bed.

"Eeek! Stohohop!" Eiji shrieked, a nervous giggle escaping from his lips.

"As you can hear, the Eiji is starting to giggle and we haven't started yet, that means we had chosen a good Eiji."

Ash chuckled, feeling his cheeks warming up. He really was getting an explanation of what he'd seen so many times before, but even though it was a little embarrassing, it also was a little fun and a feeling of giddiness fluttered in Ash's stomach.

"Okay, I understand," Ash said, nodding with a big smile.

"Sh-Shohohorter! This is nohot-

"Okay," Shorter continued, ignoring Eiji's words. "Once we have his arms pinned, we might as well also straddle him and hold him with our legs for better support, like this."

Shorter straddled Eiji's hips, pressing his legs against Eiji's sides to prevent him from turning around; Eiji kicked his legs, high pitched, nervous giggles pouring out of his lips.

"How can I be sure the Eiji won't escape?" Ash asked, without being able to avoid being part of this ridiculousness.

Shorter seemed to beam at Ash's question. "Ah, you don't have to worry! As much as the Eiji claims that he doesn't like this, he loves it and will stay put!"

Eiji shrieked, his cheeks turning red as he shook his head. "Lies! Lihies! Let me go!"

"Let's continue! So, Ash, the best way to start is just by teasi- ah, I mean, prepare the Eiji slowly," he said, looking at Ash briefly before turning his attention back to Eiji who stopped squirming at once just to look at Shorter in the eye.

"You- You sahahaid teasing- g-gahaha! N-Nohohoho!"

Even Ash shivered slightly when he saw Shorter's hand sneaking under Eiji's shirt, tickling him with tender touches, fingertips just gliding all over his tummy, sides and ribs, drawing out hysterical high pitched giggles from Eiji, who arched his back and threw his head back.

"Plehehehease!" Eiji begged, his skin breaking into goosebumps as Shorter dragged his blunt nails up and down the curve of his waist and against that hyper sensitive spots close to Eiji's back, but not quite there, a spot that even Ash had tickled accidentally when he held Eiji's back and always rewarded him with the sweetest reaction.

"There we go. A good amount of light tickles will marinate our Eiji for the best part," Shorter said, chuckling as Eiji shrieked with laughter when the light tickles moved to his armpits. "The Eiji is quite sensitive to light touches, you see," he explained, now following the shape of all of Eiji's ribs, making him choke on his own giggling.

Ash's fingers really were itching now. Somehow his need to reduce Eiji into a laughing mess felt more intense than ever. It seemed that this recipe was really working and now he was craving this 'Ticklish Eiji'.

Shorter made sure to keep those soft tickles nonstop. Ash followed his hand dragging all around Eiji's tummy, nails gently scribbling at the sides and the lower part. A finger circling his navel.

The hand then moved to Eiji's sides, and to his ribs and Shorter lingered in the highest ones, scratching at the tender skin until Eiji's giggles turned silent, but Shorter didn't give him a break as he moved higher to tickle his armpits.

Eiji was shaking his head and kicking his legs against the mattress in a futile attempt to free himself or, perhaps, distract himself from the madding sensations.

Shorter looked like he was having the time of his life, and he probably was. Ash was sure that making Eiji laugh like this was one of the biggest pleasures in his whole life.

"You see, Ash?" His voice startled Ash a little and he looked at Shorter. "You have to make sure to get the tummy, ribs and armpits very well. They're all super sensitive and It's essential that these places are marinated very well to make the perfect recipe. You understand?"

Shorter nodded. "Noted," he said, looking at Eiji. His face was slightly red, tears of mirth were already running down the sides of his face and his whole body flinched heavily to every gentle touch.

"I- I cahahahan't! Plehehehase!" He giggled, but Ash noticed that his arms weren't even trying to pull down.

Adorable.

"Very well," Shorter said and he finally stopped his gentle tickling. "We stop for a moment to let our Eiji set for a bit," he said playfully, bopping Eiji's nose as the latter caught his breath, a bright smile on his face.

"This is also the perfect opportunity to invite the partner to join us, just so they can help us to get the final touches to finally put our Eiji in the oven."

Eiji squeaked. "N-Nohoho! D-Dohohon't c-cohome, Ash! I'll dihihie!"

Shorter laughed, "oh yes, the Eiji gets all dramatic, but don't let him fool you, he's so excited to have someone else joining."

Ash chuckled when he saw Eiji's face turn bright red. It wasn't like he hadn't noticed the obvious fact that Eiji was enjoying every second of this, but seeing him get shy and embarrassed made Ash feel a deep love for him.

"I guess this is when I join, then?" Shorter nodded while Eiji shook his head no, but Ash was already making his way to them, climbing onto the bed and kneeling close to Eiji.

He couldn't resist and so his fingers wiggled against Eiji's side, making him jump. "Ahahahash!" Eiji said between adorable giggles and Ash fell in love a bit more.

"Eiji," Ash answered, more like a little greeting before turning to Shorter. "Now what, chef?"

Shorter snickered. "Since I'm already an expert, I will let you do the final touches while I hold down the Eiji."

Eiji was giggling softly and to Ash it sounded just like a child giggling in excitement as he hid in a very obvious spot. Shorter moved to Eiji's head, pinning his arms under his knees.

"You can straddle him," Shorter instructed and Ash did so, grinning down at their giggling Eiji. "Great, so for the final touches, we'll have to go a little harder than before."

"Hmm? Likes this?"

"GAHAHAHA! Nohohoho! So mehehean!" Eiji shrieked with laughter when Ash suddenly started to squeeze his sides.

Ash looked at Eiji intently, worried that his touch could be too hard and painful for him, but his boyfriend was laughing so brightly, he thought that perhaps he was doing it right.

"Ah, good good," Shorter said, nodding in approval. "You see that little muscle right there close to the hip? Yes, that one, you can squee- there you go. The Eiji is very sensitive there!"

Ash felt Eiji jolting and squirming under his touch and a huge grin pulled at his lips. This was something new, something he hadn't dared to do before and it was amazing. He felt a lovely sensation run through his body at the sight of Eiji laughing so much and so hard all because of Ash' fingers. He loved the way Eiji's smile was sincere and that there wasn't a hint of discomfort on his face.

Ash thought that this was so much fun for him too and his eyes softened as he stared at his laughing boyfriend, his hands squeezing that super tender spot above Eiji's hips.

"You know, now that I think about it," Shorter mentioned suddenly, snapping him out of his reverie. "Maybe we should check that our Eiji has all twenty-four ribs, y'know? Otherwise, it'd be a bit troublesome to complete the recipe."

Ash and Shorter shared a playful smirk. "Sounds like a good idea."

"Nohohoho!" Eiji begged, shaking his head. "N-Nohohohot that, Ahahahash! I cahahan't stahahand it!"

The way Eiji said Ash's name between laughs made his heart pound, but that didn't stop him from moving his hands to Eiji's ribs. As soon as his fingers made contact with his bottom ribs, Eiji burst into loud laughter and shrieks that made his ribcage vibrate.

"Two," Ash mumbled, fingers nibble-pinching at both sides of his ribcage, so slowly, so meticulously. "Four… Ssssssssiiiiiiiiiiixxxxxxxxx…"

"OHMYGAHAHAHAD, plehehease! Plehehehease!"

"Tch, he's moving too much," Ash said, grinning wildly and looking up at Shorter with a playful sparkle in his eyes.

"I understand, if you must, you can start over," Shorter said, grinning too as he looked down at Eiji with fond eyes.

Eiji shrieked, shaking his head. "No! Dohohon't do it! Dohohon't- ahahaha!"

"Two…"

The higher he went, the more desperate and frantic Eiji's laughter became and Ash saw with amusement that Shorter was having a bit of trouble keeping his arms up, but it took him a while to actually reach the highest ribs, since Eiji kept moving so much and he couldn't count properly.

By the time Ash's fingers were vibrating against Eiji's highest ribs, his laughter had turned into silent cackles and tears of mirth were running down his face again. Ash chuckled and he stopped, but his fingers kept glued to Eiji's ribs.

"Thankfully, the Eiji seems to have all twenty-four ribs," Ash announced, letting out a dramatic sigh of relief.

Shorter chuckled, "That's good, I got worried there for a moment," he said playfully, looking down at Eiji who was trying to catch his breath as he kept giggling and squirming just feeling Ash's fingers so close to his weakest spot.

They both could see that Eiji was reaching his limit and Ash looked at Shorter with a gentle smile. His boyfriend smiled at him, nodding softly.

"Great, as you can see our Eiji is almost ready," Shorter nodded. "There's only one little touch we're missing."

Ash chuckled when Eiji widened his eyes and looked at them with an excited glint.

"N-nohoho!" He jolted, desperately pulling at his arms. "Noho, plehehease, guhuhuys! A-Anywhehere but thehere!"

Shorter giggled, "that clearly means that he wants you to do it."

"Very well, I think I'm starting to understand," Ash answered, biting at his lower lip to stop a huge smile from spreading across his lips. "Okay, here we go."

"No! No no no no! Wait, Ash- AHAHAHAHA! Oh nohohohoho! Not thehehere! N-Nohohohot there!"

Ash fingers scribbled, dug, clawed, vibrated, wiggled and did every single thing he could think of to tickle the hell out of Eiji's armpits. The japanese boy was howling with laughter, Ash thought that he had never heard Eiji laughing like that before.

"Hmm, It seems that we have marinated our Eiji very well, don't you think, Ash?"

Ash chuckled, nodding softly. "I think so, do you think that'd be enough?"

Eiji nodded, hiccuping a few times until the sound of his laughter was gone again. Ash chuckled and he slowed down the madding tickling to Eiji's armpits until he came to a stop. His boyfriend still trembled with laughter as Shorter let go of his arms and Ash helped Eiji pull them down.

"Our Eiji looks pretty good. I want to eat him whole," Ash said tenderly, caressing Eiji's cheek with the back of his knuckles, cleaning up a few tears as Eiji came back from his tickle high.

"That is good to hear!" Shorter said, smiling brightly at Ash. "Of course, the only thing that's left to do is eating the Eiji!"

Ash and Shorter engulfed Eiji in a big hug as they gently and playfully nibbled away at his flushed cheeks and ears. Eiji giggled tiredly, barely squirming between their arms.

"So good," Ash whispered against Eiji's ear.

"Delicious!" Shorter whispered against his other ear.

"You're bohohoth ahahawfuhuhul!"

After only a few playful nibbles, Eiji's happy sounds finally died down and instead, their whispering voices filled their room. Eiji kept complaining about how bad his boyfriends were, but the smile didn't leave his face. Shorter talked about how important it was for Ash to learn the recipe 'for the good of all of us'; and Ash, he simply listened to his lovers with a warm smile, they were both fools, but he couldn't imagine his life without them anymore.

Also, he had really enjoyed this new experience and maybe he was thinking about when to prepare this recipe again!
