How is your Omori game going?

It's going well, I finally managed to defeat Space Boy, I don't know if I'll be able to in the next ones, now in the forest that has spiders everywhere. I don't want to give up yet, especially after naming Sunny "Yuma", also, Yuma has seen better days.

I ended up drawing my faves, It's not really an AU, I did this for fun, if I were to turn this into an alternate story, I would probably do a crossover with Danganronpa again because I love bringing together the things I like in one universe. I've been doing this since 2016. Long text below.

I also just made this Sunny wearing Yuma's outfit, I hope you don't mind, first time drawing Omori's character, I'm watching Omori content because I'm playing the game, I hope I don't get obsessed.

I don't want to give up playing now, not with Sunny being called "Yuma" in my gameplay. Yuma's birthday is next month, it's kind of funny talking about birthdays.

Sorry, their version in the dream world should be them younger or in just pajamas, but I was too lazy to redraw them in pajamas so I left it like that, I also ended up including the Human and Death God versions of Shinigami. Makoto's hair being like this was based on Basil, It would probably be completely white, since in real life it's a gray to blonde, right? Yuma's hair is not black because it is lavender in real life, as much as it would be interesting if he had black hair, and Kurumi's hair is dark. (I still have doubts whether it is brown or not), Shinigami's hair is a two color in the human version because she likes to dye it, but it would probably be completely pink/lilac.

If we were being half realistic, they would have dark hair in real life, and probably dyed it. Yuma's eyes in real life are like this because of the traumas that Sunny goes through in the game. Again, I did this for fun and I liked the result, I don't think of it becoming a serious crossover fic with Danganronpa, It would probably be different from what happens in Omori, but it would be the same approach.

And sorry if Yuma and Makoto look different.

☼ - appearance headcanon

Lorelei is short (5'4") and has medium length chocolate brown hair cut in the same style for as long as she remembers. She trims the bangs herself when it gets too long and annoying. During her first semester at college, she decided to do something bold and dyed her hair blonde (platinum blonde) but hated it. Three weeks later, when she got the money and time, dyed it back to brown. There's one picture of this blonde hair. Felix found it in Lorelei's apartment. There's a drabble about it somewhere I can't find, but I have something else I haven't shared before (my FC is Felicity Jones)

♥️ - family headcanon

Her mother used to be her entire world. At least until she was about 10 years old. She craved her attention and affection. The little time she offered was a treasure. She did everything to make her proud, to draw her attention. When she was a child, only the sitters (the supernaturals working for the Agency) took her to school and went to the parent-teacher meetings and other activities. Until 6th grade, she still performed at school plays, hopeful to see her mother's face amongst the other proud parents. Only once she showed up, and before Lorelei went to the stage went outside to take a call never to be seen again. The sitter took her home that evening. That was the last time she performed. That was the last time she tried.

They're not close, her mother and Lorelei. She calls her Rebecca because it hurts her, it reminds of the gap between them. A gap as wide as a canyon that she dug over and over, with every absence, every lost call, every fever a stranger watched over her sleep.

Her father died when she was too young to remember. Most of what she knows was learned from townspeople and her grandmother Nena, but it wasn't much - she never got over her children dying so young and barely spoke about either of them. However, at her home at the northern part of Wayhaven, close to the lake, there were mementos of his childhood and youth, from a time before Rebecca: pictures, books, a collection of miniature cars. She liked to piece it together. To imagine who this man she never met was.

When she was twelve, her grandmother Nena broke the hip after a fall at home; at the time she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Due to her insistence, Nena came to live in their home at Wayhaven. Rebecca opposed, she barely spent any time at house and worried it would be too much for Lorelei. It was the first time she raised her voice to her mother. Nothing she ever did to her stirred that reaction; but this time, it did. It was a stored rage, too big to be contained. Rebecca agreed, and a new kind of sitter was sent to their house. She lived with them until Lorelei went to college. The next day she was sent to a nursery home. Rebecca said it'd be better; Lorelei disagreed and visited as often as college allowed her to. On her last year of college she was weaker and too ill, and Lorelei dropped and went back home. Over the years, her grandmother had forgotten her and her name. The blank look was the hardest part. Childish as it was, she wished her grandmother would miraculously remember her like in those emotional videos on morning TV. She didn’t. Not once. She looked at her and at best remembered her children, Lorelei’s father and aunt. She called her by her aunt's nickname, and every now and then would ask why her hair looked different or where her brother went. She spent years peppered with a love that was not hers. But it was all she had. Her favourite picture of Nena was taken when she took her home one weekend; they worked on the garden, her hands were dirty and her smile broad. She ran inside, picked her camera and took the picture. Nena died three months later; she buried the camera behind boxes of books. The idea of living in the house by lake was tempting for about two weeks. The sale sign was placed in the front yard the same day she filled the trunk of the car with treasures that now adorn her home.

And you seem to adore Taylor's run too (cmiiw), the one who got massive hate on social media for his "bland" writing that mischaracterized babs n dick, or so they commented. For the first part, I don’t hate Ram V’s writing, in general. I loved his Catwoman run, i think Selina’s modern solo series was at its best under him. It’s his tec run I have a few issues with, i think it was heavily carried by the art for most of it, especially the middle. I also think a lot of the middle of his run was confusing and hard to understand what he was really trying to say and what was even going on at times…I think a lot of what Selina did in the middle and absolutely towards the end was very ooc, probably the worst offense imo was the side plot with Joker and Selina that didn’t even go anywhere, STOP putting that man near her…

Ram’s run certainly has twitter hype, but it’s hardly getting the love other iconic runs have or any nominations. i don’t think it’s on accident that TT who’s writing style is completely different and who brought in the awards for nightwing was chosen to replace Ram 🤷🏻‍♀️ and I think what TT has said so far about how he’s not really following up anything that happened in Ram’s run, as well as Ram himself saying you can take it as Canon or not, is also telling. But anyways,

since he came up I’ll talk about TT next, I do think a lot of hate the guy gets is undeserved, he’s a mid writer yeah, and you won’t catch me defending his Titans run, but it’s been wild seeing people (who usually aren’t even reading the comics) act like he was the worst thing to ever happen to the title when it’s been SOO much worse before…

do we not remember the racism Devin put him through during his adoption arc? Dixon making him a cheater? the new 52 having him meet Bruce at 15 instead of 8? RIC??

mid is preferable over all of that to me….He took the book out of the Ric era and turned it into a three time eisner winner in three years, and well, that’s really something.

I think he, for the most part, did good with Dick’s characterization, i certainly put his over Tom King.

His characterization of Babs was never perfect and i don’t think he ever perfected her voice but i can tell you he at least TRIED and he absolutely did take criticism when it wasn’t in the form of insane twitter users burning photos of him demanding their ship be canon instead…

it’s funny to me how if you only got your information from twitter you’d think Nightwing was flopping hard instead of holding up dc’s sales like Sisyphus

his work on Nightwing was a big part of the shift towards Oracle Babs and away from Batgirl Babs within the bat titles, and for all his faults, at least Babs isn’t acting dumb or robotic in NW like she is in bop :) and she contributes to the plot, also not happening in bop 🙃🙃

I’ve got varying opinions on TT’s run like everyone else, in general I think he has good ideas with messy execution, which I also felt while reading dceaased and dkos, he’s not for everyone. Really the only reason i defend him is that there is so much valid criticism to be had, but the loud twitter users who aren’t even reading only want to blame dickbabs lol

Now. Thompson.

I’ve tried very hard to appreciate her bop run for what it is, but I’m genuinely starting to question is she’s ever read an actual bop run in her life. She has used Dinah as the leader from the start, when Bop has always been Oracle’s team. Harley Quinn got to be on the team before Babs, and Helena is still nowhere in sight though Kelly keeps saying “she’s not found the story for her yet” when she and babs BOTH should have been there from the start. This team is chock full of random metas, last issue was literally most the characters standing around in the bg waiting for Cass to check in, why was Oracle not in her ear the whole time?? Because Thompson has no clue how to use Oracle. She says she’s too smart to write for, and therefore uses her as little as she can. It makes me so mad that I’d rather Babs just fucking leave than be so obviously unappreciated and wasted in what is supposed to be her own team.

Onyx and Grace haven’t done shit yet either btw 😭

And she wants to add MORE metas…as if Babs abandoning her computer to go Batgirl while Vixen, Barda, Cass and Dinah were already there wasn’t goofy enough. what is even going to be left for characters like Huntress, Batgirl (cass), Katana, Catwoman, characters who have actual bop history, when it’s full of metas like freaking power girl and starfire who are BOTH already on teams anyway 😭

The way she’s writing, i think she watched the bop movie and understood “girl power team, got it” and fuck the founding members, she’s just gonna use her faves. it doesn’t at all feel like a birds of prey book.

the last arc went nowhere and it’s not looking any better now, atp i really think it’s cooked for Oracle in bop until we can get thompson out. (i actually think Ram V or Mariko tamaki would eat here)

I don't know if you take recs or stuff like that, but I would just like to recommend a fanfic author to you for funsies.

The author I would like to recommend is RosyGanymede95. They write Dead Boy Detectives fics (I remember you saying something about being obsessed with DBD and Edwin in particular) from basically headcanon events that happened in the 30 years between Charles and Edwin before the events of Port Townsend. Their fics are sweet and (sometimes) heartbreaking but overall really amazing.

I reallyyyy like the way they charecterize Edwin and Charles and their relationship with one another (they're so protective of one another to the point of mild insanity i love it so much)

The series in which they write the DBD fanfics is called "Who? You mean your teammate in the Codependency World Cup?"

The first fic in the series is called "Like Fool's Gold" and their idea for the fic basically stemmed from Charles seeming to know a little too well about what ghost fungus does to a ghost, and they took that idea and ran with it.

Anyways very much recommend reading all of their DBD fanfics, they're reallyreallyreally amazing

ok i was going through your speculation tag bc i wanted to know what was up with kimmy and then just ended up catching up on the whole anthony/mykie speculation and then did some of my own detective work. i saw that someone assumed that anthony and mykie are living separately rn and anthony is staying in the smosh/pressalike studio while mykie is staying at their shared place, and i wanted to see if i can find any evidence of this.

so basically through looking at a bunch of pics i can say that anthony is definitely not staying at the smosh/pressalike studio but he may also not be staying in his space with mykie?

here are pics we have of the smosh/pressalike kitchen, from this member community post and the sleepwalking disaster bts. the things to note about this kitchen is the way the knobs for the stove are on the right of the stove and how the shelves of the kitchen are white in color and there's white cabinets.

here are the pictures of anthony in a kitchen during the iconic ian-gives-anthony-frozen-soup saga. this is clearly not the same kitchen as the one in the smosh/pressalike studio bc the knobs of the stove are on the bottom of the stove and there are light brown cabinets in the kitchen. other things to note about this kitchen in the vent on the wall and what might be knives in the background behind anthony? hard to tell bc blurry af.

and now for the real kicker, what i am assuming is anthony and mykie's kitchen in their shared home (also an ian for vibes bc how could i crop him out). at first i though maybe this is all bs bc of the knives in the background of the above being similar to the below pic, but there's some stuff that makes me think it's a different kitchen. the most obvious is that there is not air vent above the cabinets in the picture with ian, which is pretty damning unless he like added another air vent to his kitchen. Also the color, pattern, and shape of the soup cabinets are different from the cabinets in the pic below. there is no upper lip on the soup cabinets, and the way there seem's to be a longer cabinet that extends down on the left of anthony is just not seen in the picture below. the soup cabinets are also a lighter brown, and i don't thinks it's just because of the lighting bc the ones below are also stripey while the soup cabinets seem to be more of a flat color.

anyways, all of this is me basically wondering the age old question: where's anthony? ian gave him frozen soup, this is a fact. so where tf did anthony end up reheating it? it def isn't the smosh/pressalike studio and i would say i'm 95% it isn't the kitchen in the background of the ian with dog photo.

sorry this was super long and i probably seem absolutely batshit insane, but being a long time supernatural fan truly did change my brain chemistry and caused me to develop an extremely unnecessary skillset.

This is Sarah Christ levels of detective work and I applaud this! I also did see a theory floating about that Anthony is staying in a new place that is neither the new Smosh house nor the the house he and Mykie bought. This was because of his interior shots and also the videos of him smoking weed out on the balcony of what could be the new place.

This is all very interesting and I appreciate and salute your hard work!
