This might be a stupid question but: is it possible to spawn camp a divine? By that I mean send an army to a divine's birth place and kill them right after they resurrect.
Yes, this is possible. However, most divines have found clever ways to prevent this from happening.
For example...
Karenza, Divine of Love: Used magic to picked up the chunk of land where she was born and cause it to levitate through the skies. Now it's always mobile, and she resurrects on the floating island wherever it may be.
Mankind's Disgrace, Divine of Hate: Instructed his evil army to build a fortress around his place of birth and guard it. It has been destroyed a few times by his many enemies, but in the end, his army always prevails by chasing them out and rebuilding it.
Erasmos, Divine of Lechery: He's just so pathetic and incompetent that no one sees any point in spawn camping him. He's not worth the effort. His birthplace is also in the middle of nowhere, deep in a forest where no one goes. No one knows the exact location, nor do they care.
Krozlaug, Divine of Industry: His birthplace is now a tourist attraction owned by the Zareenite government. He got drunk and signed a bad contract, so long story short, he receives no money from this. On the bright side, his spawn point is protected by Zareen Empire. On the down side, it's covered in trash and graffiti from tourists, and there is nothing he can do about it...
Green Witch, Divine of Forests: Her method is "kill your enemies before they kill you". That's it. If she does die, she's kinda fucked because she'll resurrect in Seelie territory. The Seelie are her enemies, and they would love nothing more than to capture her. They actually do "spawn camp" her place of birth, just waiting to snipe her the moment she appears. She is working on gaining ground with her army and reclaiming that chunk of land.
Miliko, Divine of Vanity: He simply built one of his mansions over his birthplace, so he always resurrects in his own home. As long as he keeps up on his taxes, he's fine.
For the most part, divines have enough money, social clout, or power to protect their birthplaces in some way. They might hire mercenaries or bribe government militaries, or maybe they just have a lot of rabid fans willing to protect the site for free. In any case, divine birthplaces are rarely unguarded.

Hey there! All my life people have come to me for advice and/or as a sounding board. I'm pretty well versed and experienced many things so my wisdom is authentic. I don't coddle and I tell you how it is without shirting around the issue at hand. Tonight, I began thinking about opening up my lines for advice more often. It was confirmed when a lady at a wedding came up to me and ask for natural hair advice. I gave it to her without any hesitation and enjoyed it. I wish I could follow up and see how it works out for her. Officially, I want more people to use my Ask Me Anything box. You need advice on relationships, travel, business, hair, health, fitness, etc. ask me I can probably help. Need a sounding board to work through a situation? Ask me! I look forward to working with everyone!

Could a Gnoll or Orc divine currently exist from the time when the species was alive? If so, how would the Divines act knowing they were the last of their kind?
I don't see why not! I'm sure there are extinct species divines out there, but because their kind has become so rare, they have all gone into hiding.
I suspect there is at least one divine hogman hiding out among the hogmen tribes in the Shrieking Mountains. Perhaps there is a divine orc still kicking around in the ruins of ancient orc civilizations, all alone underground. And it's easy to imagine a divine gnoll fleeing into the deep wilderness, basically reverting into a feral animal because they have no one on their side.
These divines would be forced to isolate themselves, or else just hang out with other divines. Cerno would be a safe choice, since he is ostracized from society as well. Green Witch might accept them too.

what does titania even do. does she just leave the actual governing of her country to other people ? someone get this freeloader out of the palace!!!
SERIOUSLY
Tumblr media
Titania's chronic inaction is a big meme at this point. Not just among her people, but the whole world makes fun of her for sitting there like a rotting log while crazy shit goes down around her. They say things like "Titania works very hard at doing nothing" and "No one works harder than the seat of Titania's throne".
The reality is actually pretty tragic though...You see, Titania is one of the oldest divines on Looming Gaia. She used to revel in her immortality like most divines do, and even tried using her new god-like powers to conquer the world. But at some point during her conquest, she imagined herself sitting on the world throne, and she asked herself, "Then what?"
In that moment she realized the true meaning of eternity. This realization hit her like a freight train and paralyzed her with existential dread. She's been paralyzed ever since, believing that existence is utterly meaningless, that nothing she does matters anyway, and worst of all...she can never escape this eternal pointlessness.
Her kingdom's struggles are microscopic to her. The world's struggles are microscopic to her. She's so far beyond giving a shit about politics and worldly affairs, even cosmic and universal affairs. She's mentally transcended all of this and retreated back into her own mind, where she takes life one minute at a time and tries not to go insane with the knowledge that every morning is a new dawn of forever.
Many people would like to see her get off the throne and make room for someone who can make real change in the world. They tell her, "If you ain't shitting, then get off the pot!"
And she's like,
Tumblr media
because she's too cowardly to sacrifice what little comfort she has in this eternal, inescapable existence of hers. She can't be bothered to spend effort improving anything for her people because they're like ants to her. Their lives are over in a blink of an eye. They don't matter to her, nothing does except her own comfort/sanity.
Morgause has been trying to pry Titania's ass off off the throne for thousands of years, but so far hasn't succeeded. She's the only one who's been crazy enough to try. Titania is so insanely powerful that no one else wants to mess with her, so they just let her sit there and give her a wide berth. It's not like she's antagonizing anyone. Or doing much of anything, really.
Titania is capable of taking over the world. Like, she could actually do it if she wanted to. She could annihilate the Alliance, end Evangeline, mop the floor with Matuzu, undo the Unseelie, destroy Damijana, eradicate Etios, zap Zareen, level Lamai, fuck up Folkvar, and Yerim-Mor...well, they would whip out the white flag as soon as she glanced in their direction.
So why doesn't she?
Well, simply because she once stopped and asked herself, "Why should I?" and then spiraled into a waking existential nightmare.
For the record, Titania is not the only divine to succumb to this kind of immortality-based depression. But she is believed to be the first, so the condition was named after her. It's known as "Titania Syndrome".

razzek Man that would suck, being a divine when your species was thriving then watching them die out, being unable to do anything and knowing you'll have to live in the world without them forever. Haha new OC idea? XD They even got revenge on the peoples who obliterated their kind but it was so long ago not even stories remain of it.

can nymphs become divines?
Yes! Although no nymph divines have appeared in the series so far, they do exist in the World of Looming Gaia.
Even titan nymphs can be granted divinity. Many titan nymphs contain multiple souls, but it seems only one of them gets blessed. The mortal souls are reaped by celestials upon the titan's death, then the titan resurrects with one divine soul.
This has a strange effect on titan nymphs, making them calmer and more reasonable than they were as mortals. It's believed that housing multiple souls within one body has a negative effect on their behavior and makes them act crazy, but with just one soul, their minds and bodies are more at ease.
Divine titan nymphs behave very differently from their mortal titan sisters. For example, if you ever encounter a pyrophasma who doesn't immediately try to kill you, there's a decent chance that it has a divine soul.

(Translated via Google Translate)
"How I imagine some divine ones when they were children: Titania: I don't know why, but I imagine her as Melissa (it's from a novel). I mean, a dreamy girl, who never loses hope even if things get really ugly. Cerno: I think he would be an energetic and playful child, who admired his dad a lot and wanted to be like him when he grew up (5 year old Cerno: I love you daddy! Father: me too, champion) Miliko: that typical kid that everyone disliked, but like he owned the school Erasmos: a lonely child, who only had nymph friends and who did not get along much with other satyrs due to their deformities."
Now that's an interesting thought! What were these divines like as children?
Melissa is a beautiful name for a beautiful elf like Titania, I think it fits her nicely. Personally I imagined her as a rather angry girl who felt helpless against the bad things happening in her life, hence why she went mad with power as an adult. But it makes sense that she would be dreamy too, because it's possible that she was always dreaming about how society could be better, and thinking about how she'd make it happen if only she had the power to change things. Once she became a divine...well, playing God turned out to be more complicated than she thought. It's sad to think she was once idealistic and hopeful, until ages of immortality eroded those qualities away. Now she's apathetic and sees no point in life anymore.
I feel the same way about Cerno as you, I also think he was once a playful and innocent child who admired his father more than anyone. He is another tragic case, where his experience as a divine completely changed him for the worse. Now he's reclusive and afraid of everyone, like a hunted animal. Even though he's thousands of years old, at heart he's still just a scared kid who misses his daddy and feels lost in the world.
You're right on the money with Miliko, he's been a shitty little diva since the day he was born. He has natural style and flair, but his beauty is only skin deep. I imagine most of his friends are fake, they just use him to advance their place in society. And Miliko doesn't care if his friends like him or not, as long as they kiss his ass and make him feel special.
Poor Erasmos, this is so accurate. Even the nymphs weren't very nice to him sometimes. I mean, they named him "Gnarl" because apparently his face looked like gnarled wood. That's pretty harsh...but at least they didn't try to kill him, which is what other satyrs did when they encountered him. Erasmos was laughed at and bullied out of revels. He was shunned from society because of his face, and over time this robbed him of all his confidence and faith in other people. His personality turned nasty. He hid away from others. And of course, when he tried to forge his own monster sex slaves friends, that ended up backfiring on him and making everything worse. This dude never stood a chance at life.

Kind of a terrible question, but if a divine had an organ removed and donated while they were alive and kept living for some time after that, like years, what happens to that organ when the divine dies? Is it now part of the recipient's body after that amount of time? Or is Billy Joe Mituzu about to collapse from sudden total loss of kidney?
That's actually a super interesting question! I think divine bodies have some quirks that prevent them from being exploited like endless organ factories. I feel like if the divine was killed, the donated kidney would probably disintegrate with the rest of their body. Anything that's part of the divine--or was once part of them--disintegrates and returns to the cosmos, where it gets reconstituted into a new resurrected form.
But I think most likely, being a divine screws up their blood type and it makes their organs unsuitable to be transplanted into mortals in the first place. Apparently there is something very "off" about Isaac's blood, because it killed a lich and poisoned a vampire. As we know, Isaac was forged using the blood of at least one divine (Karenza).
Magic in general has quirks like this. Whenever some sorcerer thinks they unlocked the secret to "infinite gold" or "everlasting food" or "free immortality", their spells start malfunctioning for no apparent reason. But the reason is that magic knows when someone is trying to use it to upset the balance of Gaia, and it will not allow this. It does not allow any one person or creature to become too powerful. That is why arcane colleges stress the importance of respecting magic and using it ethically. It can backfire in unpredictable ways.
Mr. Ocean alluded to this phenomenon in "Troubled Tides" when he said...
“Magic can do anything. The question is: does it respect me enough to obey my command?”
This is also demonstrated in "Knowledge and Power", when Destiny's magical Tome of Infinity refuses to tell Isaac everything he wants to know. It also does this to Evan in "Evangelites Skip, Matuzans Sway".
Now, back to Isaac for a moment, because he is the best (possibly only?) example of a person who had pieces of a divine transplanted into him.
We know he was literally made from the blood of Karenza and Darshaan. We don't know Darshaan's status currently, but we do know for sure that Karenza is a divine. She has not been killed since Isaac's creation, so we don't know what would happen if she was. If she died, would Isaac die too? Or because Isaac's body currently houses her soul, is he now considered "detached" from her?
Not even Karenza herself knows the answers to these questions. No one does, and unfortunately the only way to find out is to see it happen...

You know how a pyriad tries to seduce Disgrace in one story. Sooo has he ever actually fucked a pyriad?
You know, that's actually a damn good question…which leads to another question: does Disgrace fuck anyone? Does he even have a desire to?
We know he doesn't eat food because he's parasitized by a mask, which feeds on agony. If he doesn't eat, presumably he doesn't shit either, so that's 2 physical urges he lacks. So what about love and lust?
Love hurts him due to the nature of his mask. Even if he desires love, he suppresses that desire because the mask punishes him for having affectionate feelings towards others. The mask desires agony and nothing more. Pain makes it strong, joy makes it weak.
But love and lust are two different things. The mask punishes Disgrace if he does anything to create joy or pleasure around him. Pleasing someone (or himself) sexually would anger the mask.
Based on this logic, I'm going to say Disgrace probably does experience lust, but the only way the mask will let him satisfy this urge is through rape, or any other means which creates fear and pain rather than pleasure. The mask might even compel him to use rape as a means to harvest agony for itself.
I think it's pretty common for his minions to try seducing him, like that pyriad for example. They seem to think they're special, that Disgrace will fall for them and make them his queen…but that isn't what happens. He has never had a queen or king or anyone he treats with respect. His mask doesn't desire companionship, only suffering.
At best, he slaps these seducers down and lets them skitter away with their life. He's likely to do this if he's busy and doesn't have time for their nonsense. The pyriad in the story learned her lesson this way.
At worst, I imagine he reciprocates their lust by turning it into an act of brutal violence. This act will end in maiming or death. Either way, it cannot end in pleasure because his mask will not allow it.
TL;DR: Disgrace has likely fucked some pyriads in his day…but most did not survive the encounter, and those that did, wish they didn't.
One does not simply seduce the Divine of Hate!

Why does Disgrace have black feet?? I kinda miss his sandals but I guess the boots make more sense so him having black feet is surprising ig
Don't worry, Disgrace is a fashionable guy with lots of different outfits, so we will see his sandals again! ;)
His look does change quite a bit depending on where he's traveling. You might see him wearing a big badass fur cloak in the mountains, or a skirt of human skin in the desert. You might also catch him wearing a neon mankini when he's chilling at a beach resort (but beware: if you laugh at him, you die!)
He does have a weird black tint to his hands and feet, as well as a gray color to his skin that gives him an almost "undead" look. His cultists get a similar tint to their skin when they put on their cursed masks, which suggests that this coloration is likely a symptom of his mask's corruption.
That mask gives him great power, but it also has nasty effects on his body. His blood has become black and sludgy sort of like a vampire's. This is visible in body parts with thinner skin and more bloodflow, like his hands and feet and prominent veins. If his face was visible, he'd probably have black lips and eyelids too. (Assuming he even has a face under that mask...)

Are there divines who regularly kill themselves and donate all their organs to hospitals and such? Also, is divines resurrecting and appearing out of nowhere in the most unlikely places a regular thing on Gaia?
I'm sure there are divines who would be willing to do this, but their physiology won't let them. Every time a divine dies, their bodies quickly disintegrate, meaning their organs can't be harvested. I talked more about this in this other post.
Divines tend to resurrect in the place of their birth. But this can get a little tricky sometimes, and it may not always work as expected. Let me explain...
For example, Karenza was born in an ancient city called Alqamah. Her mother gave birth to her on a plot of dirt in their slum shack, and this was where she resurrected the first time she died.
However, the entire city of Alqamah has since been lifted off the ground with magic, and it now hovers in the air. The chunk of land where Karenza was born is now floating high in the sky, so she now resurrects on this floating island wherever it happens to be.
Meanwhile, Disgrace keeps resurrecting in the middle of the Serkel Desert, far away from any civilization. It's theorized that the city he was born was destroyed long ago, or perhaps the sands have shifted so much over the millennia that it has also shifted his place of resurrection.
Regardless, the Crescent Cult has marked this spot with a shrine. If he dies, they make a dangerous pilgrimage here on the day of his resurrection to greet him, offering gifts and sacrifices to strengthen him. The next story in the series actually explores this situation, so we'll learn more soon!

¿A qué especie pertenecen los divinos?
(Translated via Google Translate)
"What species do the divines belong to?"
Divines can be any species of people, including nymphs. They cannot be animals or monsters, as far as the World Athenaeum knows.
Humans, dworfs, roshava, trolls, ogres, orcs, elves, gnomes, goblins, cecaelia, sirenes, sprights, satyrs, fauns, minotaurs, centaurs, gorgons, gnolls, and all types of nymph are the only known species who can be granted divinity.

could the progeny of a divine vampire cure themselves by eating the heart of the divine.
That's an excellent question! Theoretically this should work, but divine bodies tend to disintegrate as soon as they die, so maybe not?
To cure vampirism, a vampire has to suck blood from the heart of the one who turned them and swallow it. Obviously this is fatal, and I think the divine's heart would disintegrate before the vampire could reap the cure from it.
So, if you get bitten by a vampiric divine, I'm going to say you are probably screwed.

Would it be possible for a divine to kill themselves and after resurrecting use their own corpse to create a monster?
This is a fun idea, unfortunately it seems that divine bodies quickly "poof away" when they die. This happened to Mankind's Disgrace several times in the Looming Gaia series; he was killed and then his body disintegrated into smoke. This also happened to Morganya, and even Mr. Roach, who melted into slime and evaporated.
Maybe there are very clever mages out there who could figure out a way to keep divine bodies in-tact after death. After all, magic makes anything possible!

Is there a reason Disgrace seems so determined to hunt down Karenza, even before she earned her title as the Divine of Love?
"Lost Scriptures of Love and Light" has a little insight on this, but I'll go into more detail below.
(Possible spoilers ahead?)
There is evidence to suggest that Mankind's Disgrace might actually be Darshaan, the man Karenza fell in love with during her mortal years.
Darshaan loved Karenza dearly. He was a mercenary who constantly threw himself into danger to provide a happy life for her. When she became pregnant with his child, he grew desperate for more gold so that their child would not have to grow up destitute and miserable like he did.
One day, Darshaan heard of a great treasure lying inside a cursed cave, guarded by foul monsters. Karenza begged him no to go, but he was determined to claim this treasure and escape poverty once and for all. He went into that cave and never returned.
Or did he?
Not long after Darshaan disappeared, a crazed man in a golden mask broke into her home, murdering her and her unborn child. He then went on to slaughter most of their village before disappearing into the wilderness. His identity and motives were unknown.
Long story short, Karenza resurrected and returned to the place of her death to find clues. She found only the remains of her unborn child. These bones were one of the ingredients she used to forge Isaac, along with her own hair and blood, as well as a drop of Darshaan's blood, which he gave to her in a locket before he disappeared.
So, what about the masked man? He kept popping up in various places throughout the Serkel Desert region, causing terror and amassing a monstrous army. When he learned Karenza was still alive, he once again tried to kill her. But she had grown stronger by then and managed to defend herself. He has been relentlessly chasing her ever since.
But why? What does he want from her? In truth, no one really knows. There are only theories:
A ) There are many eye-witness accounts of Disgrace seemingly "fighting" with his mask, attacking it and trying to pull it off. Some believe the mask itself is a parasitic creature that has taken control of its host, but on occasion this host finds strength to fight back. If the host really is Darshaan, and the mask really is the source of his wicked behavior, then his relentless pursuit of Karenza might be Darshaan trying to reunite with her, while his violence against her is the result of his cursed mask.
B ) Karenza's Order of Love and Light is a faction that spreads love, beauty, and good deeds across the world. They follow Karenza's scriptures by easing the world's misery and trying to make it a better place. Misery is Disgrace's bread and butter; it's literally how he feeds. So, by destroying Karenza, he can dismantle the Order of Love and Light, make the world merciless, and become more powerful than ever. Karenza has always been the biggest obstacle between him and world domination. Many believe he is trying to destroy Karenza with the Divine Executioner so he can rule the world and basically turn it into Hell.
C ) Perhaps Disgrace's mask is feeding on Darshaan's misery by forcing him to terrorize the person he loves most for all eternity.
D ) It's possible that Disgrace is not Darshaan, but some other entity who has beef with Karenza. Some think he is actually the ancient king of Alqamah, who imprisoned Karenza in her mortal life. She later returned to him as a divine and killed him. This king could have been a divine himself, resurrected and corrupted by a thirst for vengeance against her.
Destiny was one of the few World Athenaeum researchers brave enough to study Disgrace and his motives, and, well...we all know what happened to her.
It looks like the world will just have to wait a while longer before the truth is revealed!
