i plan on doing this for every joco album. at least the studio ones. i’ve done this for other artists so i got this. WHOOPEE!

see you all in hell - i kind of view this one as a bit of a nothing song given how it’s one of the automated voice sample ones. but it makes my brain feel really nice. thank you jonathan.

my monkey - i came around on this song big time. i like thinking of it as an argument, or post argument, or some kind of hardship and using it as a way to apologize to a partner or loved one of some sort. very cute. 

w’s duty - man. i can’t come up with anything. ask me about this one later. 9/11.

shop vac - GOD DAMN. BOY HOWDY. shop vac makes me EVIL. i think it’s painfully good at describing what it sets out to, and as someone who was in a similar situation, it makes me want to cram a .44 in my skull in the nicest way. thanks mr. coulton!

baby got back - honestly. this one just makes me think of my best friend/gay lover aspen. joco’s baby got back is ingrained into my brain as aspencore. based and aspenpilled. aspenmaxxed. his mom was mad that it’s good.

someone is crazy - he was so real for this one. it would go crazy as a late night road trip song with some good pals. he was insanely real for this one. i really like how he frames the subject of the song and the language he uses to address them. have i mentioned how real he is?

brand new sucker - i like viewing this as both a breakup between two people, using creative language and such, and also just as like. a vampire or a blood sucking insect partner of some kind. he was CRAZY for “everybody says you shouldnt be a stranger but everybody likes it better that way”

sibling rivalry - i don’t have much to say? it makes me imagine two siblings that desperately want to reconnect and be close again but both have something stopping them from doing so? i dont know. it fills me with a weird amount of anxiety.

the town crotch - this one also grew on me a TON. the town crotch makes me long for something that never was and never will be. i think about the accompanying tidbit and joco being into tall and dangerous women frequently

drive - THIS SONG MAKES ME FREAK. i know its his least favorite song but oooooh little monkey brain is Thrilled with the Fun Music by the Funny Man. im sure if i could drive i would also feel like sexy

overall, thing a week 1 is pretty danged solid. no immediate skips, but only one of these songs (shop vac) is really outstanding to me. i think it’s definitely a great kick-off to thing a week as a whole, though.

Vishay IHPT-1411AF-ABA touch feedback actuator wins AspenCore Global Electronics Achievement Award

【Lansheng Technology News】Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced that its AEC-Q200 certified IHPT-1411AF-ABA touch feedback actuator won the 2023 AspenCore Global Electronics Achievement Award "High Performance Passive Electronic/Discrete Device of the Year". The device is suitable for a variety of 12 V automotive applications such as LCD displays, touch screens, and touch switch panels. Featuring a small two-piece construction with mounting holes for easy installation and direct operation, the device features high shock pulse and vibration transmission capabilities to provide clear tactile feedback in noisy environments.

The Global Electronics Achievement Award, presented by AspenCore, a world-renowned media group in the field of electronic technology, aims to recognize companies and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to promoting the innovative development of the global electronics industry. The winning products were selected by a panel of senior industry analysts from AspenCore and online voting by engineers around the world. This year, Vishay’s IHPT-1411AF-ABA actuator won the award for its outstanding performance in high-performance passive electronics/discrete components.

IHPT-1411AF-ABA has a fast response time of less than 5 ms and can be used to produce a variety of high-resolution tactile effects with a maximum operating voltage of 16 V. This touch feedback actuator operates at temperatures up to +105 °C, making it ideal for harsh environments. The device is suitable for automotive dashboards, center consoles, and human-machine interface touch screens, and can provide tactile feedback for electronic transmissions, steering wheels, seats, and other vehicle control systems.

The device operates from voltages as low as 12 V, eliminating the need for additional high-voltage power supplies required by other technologies. As a result, this actuator costs 40% less than competing technologies such as linear resonance, linear broadband, eccentric rotating masses and piezoelectric actuators, while reducing component height and having higher force density. The IHPT-1411AF-ABA is bundled with the Immersion Corporation touch technology patent license, simplifying the device design process and enabling tactile effects without the need for a separate license.

On November 2, the award ceremony was held at the Global CEO Summit in Shenzhen, China. Arthur Choy, Operations Director of Vishay China, and Bruce Tang, Product Marketing Manager, received the award on behalf of the company.

WE ARE THE ASTEROID II ☄️ continues its American tour. Do we call it climate change? Do we call it an ecological crisis? Ultimately it’s an existential crisis for all living beings on the planet. The WATA series is all about sharing playful “eco-haikus” to remind us of the urgency and seriousness of this existential matter that remains out of sight and out of mind for the majority of the world’s population which lives in urban environments. Debuting as a public art work in 2018 on the @navypierchicago as part of @expochicago WATA II then travelled West to Colorado to participate in a group show at @andersonranchartscenter followed by an appearance on the skis slopes of @aspensnowmass before heading to the campus of the University of @northern_iowa as part of the Aldo Leopold lecture series and supported by their office of sustainability. In Sept of 2020 WATA II took part in the @waterfrontalliance participating in NYC’s Climate Week in lower Manhattan, and is now currently on view through January 2021 at @manacontemporary in Jersey City hosted by Mana’s @monirafoundation WE ARE THE ASTEROID I, II, III and X (locally rented solar powered highway message boards) is a collaboration with the eco-philospher @tim303 the Rita Shea Guffey Chair of English at @riceuniversity and they continue to travel to institutions and public spaces around the the world. TI's innovative wireless MCU solution helps users accelerate the embrace of the Internet of Things

【Lansheng Technology Information 】On July 21, the "2023 Global MCU Ecological Development Conference" hosted by AspenCore was grandly held at the Grand Hyatt Luohu Hotel in Shenzhen. Texas Instruments, one of the leading companies in the MCU field, was invited to participate in the "Wireless MCU Forum", at the forum, Wei Tianhua, TI wireless product engineer, shared a speech on the theme of "Innovative Wireless Solutions, Helping the Continuously Developing Connected World", and brought TI's latest wireless MCU series to the audience, as well as for this market deep thinking.

TI's product structure is very rich, with many system solutions that balance performance and cost, including Transceivers, Network processors, Wireless MCU, Certified modules and many other products, and also has the SimpleLink SDK family in terms of software. At the same time, for the protocol stacks and standards involved in the industry, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, Thread, Matter, Amazon Sidewalk, Sub-1GHz, etc., TI has also developed corresponding products for different fields and different needs. In terms of smart homes and smart buildings, TI has solutions such as security monitoring, smart door locks, and sensor wireless transmission. TI's highly flexible radio architecture is also a magic weapon to support user personalization. Its MCU series are based on ARM Cortex M series cores, including M3 and M4F. The new generation of products will be based on the M33 platform. Users can choose RTOS very conveniently and flexibly according to their needs. For example, instead of running the operating system, you can choose to run directly on the bare chip. Of course, you can also choose TI RTOS or FreeRTOS. In terms of software SDK, as long as it is the peripherals (drivers, libraries) that can be provided by the chip, TI provides a complete API, and users can use the API to call without cumbersome operations

In terms of details, TI will allocate peripheral resources, Flash, and RAM resources according to the usage scenarios defined by each product. Currently, the Flash of its MCU products ranges from 32kB to 1MB, and the RAM ranges from 8kB to 256kB. After supporting Matter, Flash may will reach 1.5 MB. TI's strategy in the RF part is relatively conservative, and customers consistently report that the data transmission is stable, even higher than the rated parameters provided, which can be said to be widely acclaimed.
