We make it to the end of the store, nothing in hand, begrudgingly, the item she wanted wasn’t in stock.

“Umm… I.. may have lost my mitt, can we go look for it?”

Because of course that happens. I’m a ditz. She looks at me a little annoyed

“Alright, we’ll search the entire store, we just got to retrace our steps”

And so we do, I check the shark pit I was playing in, the bowls I was admiring, the kiddie lamps I was testing out. No dice. We decided to cut our loses and try to ask lost and found.

And suddenly, we walk back into that same group from earlier. I see them up close and personal. I wanna say hi! My mind’s racing, I see the collars that some of them have on. I pause- my mind draws a blank. So I bark!

One of them barks back. I realized I just barked at someone in an ikea and scurry off- embarrassed like. My roommate laughs.

“Ahh what was that! You just went up to their faces and barked at them? Jeez you’re awkward- That was real funny, though. I’m not gonna let you live it down Never change kiddo.”

I stammer out an incoherence while walking to the lost and found. “I-I just d,,didn’t know what to say!!! Plus she responded in kind! You saw that right? A-and! I’m older than you so don’t patronize me!”

She gives me a smirk and we look at the lost and found. No dice whatsoever. Duh. Makes sense. We agree to cut our losses. Not like I don’t have spare mitts anyway. Shame- I just found them again the other day.

We make it to the checkout empty handed, and down a mitt. As we consider our options once we get through, no suprise who shows up but the other transfem group.

I slink back behind my roommate. I’m a good bit shorter than she is. I realize I embarrassed myself earlier and don’t wanna make another mess. She looks back at me and holds my hand and smiles.

“Y’know, if you want to say hi, you can you know that right? Do you want me to help? Want me to compliment their collars for you?”

This IS in their earshot, so they sorta take notice, and oh great they’re here. I kinda freeze on the spot, and look down at the floor. My roommate nudges me “c‘mon use your words”

“Use your words pup” says the girl I’m trying to speak to. Oh great my first impression and this is what’s happening. “I,,, like your collar..” with praise from all parties, and still thinking about the mitt, I ask them.. “have any of you bychance seen a mitt? We’ve been looking around for it for a while now”. One of the girls chimes - “oh it’s yours? I was wondering who lost their pretty pink mitts! I found it and put it by the lamps!”

Wow! Isn’t that nice, my roommate goes back in to grab my mitt, while I’m surrounded by a group of a half dozen transfems I socialize with for a bit. We exchange contact info- and when my roommate returns, we leave them and I save goodbye.

“Y’know as funny as you are i’m glad you were able to talk to them. You did good- proud of you.”

May I ask, what’s her background? Was her apparent marriage to Az prearranged by their parents or other authority figures? Was Aspot conceived out of genuine passion or as part of their marital agreements, like a requirement or something? Why did they split up?

Thanks for popping in about Ikoleta💃This might be long and very convoluted, but I'll answer all your questions to the best of my ability. I leap at the chance to talk more about her when given the opportunity, she's interesting to talk about. Ikoleta was born on Palaven, near the capital of Cipritine. A lot of the turians in her family are associated with the government there, playing roles that would be similar in concept to political administrators. She is downright faithful to her Hierarchy. She takes her background very seriously, and plays her part of public service for the good of her people, no matter the cost. She prefers her feet on active soil, but still carries the sharp tongue a politician would have. The Relay 314 Incident was the first time she experienced any real "threat" when it came to the security of Palaven, and was motivated to join the fight. Much like a lot of turians, it was not a brief skirmish in her eyes. This was war. Azailick and Ikoleta met each other during training and shared a lot of equal pride for their backgrounds. Their service during the war made their bond closer, and even after, she stood by his side during the rough patches as a close companion. Apsot's conception was a complete accident (oops) but her family was supportive and used it as an excuse to pressure her to come back home to continue as a public servant. Their union was simply out of necessity to keep a clean reputation (specifically for Ikoleta's family), albeit I think everyone knew there was something going on due to how young they both were. Two years after Apsot was born, Ikoleta had discovered paraphernalia Azailick kept from the war on Shanxi. A photograph of a human with a child, and a mysterious USB stick.

I think it's important to note that Ikoleta's feelings towards humans after the war were strained and full of deep distrust. She couldn't give a pyjak's ass about their politics and integration into the galactic community, except if it's only for the interest of the turians. Despite the alliance that the Citadel conjured up between the two species, she still has the perception that they're still "at war" with each other, but bends to the whim of needing constant change for the betterment of galactic society. Her own opinions on this are much different, as one could imagine. The discovery of these items made her LIVID. Years of deception, when Az knew how she felt about the war. How did her partner really feel, then? If he was so willing to hide something from her for so long. Azailick never told her his experience as a soldier during Shanxi, and everything coming to light honestly explained why he kept a tight lip about it. They got into a HUGE fight over it (honestly it was probably little incidents and that was the thing that broke the damn), and Ikoleta fully cut contact with him, which followed with a divorce. She considered him a complete failure in terms of turian pride and honor.

I could go on about how Ikoleta feels about a human participating in raising her son after Kara and Az reconnect, but that's a whole can of messy worms- and I think we all know, honestly 😬 She still visits Apsot often but focuses heavily on pushing up in her ranks. The scar on her face is from an assassination attempt a couple years after, but she still works as if nothing has happened. She gets that hardened look from a mixture of everything that's happened to her... And from being a little bit of a hater, i think. 🤭

well, this is sex education, so this is appropriate for here. as an amab trans woman mod who has read about sex anatomy (mainly male sex organs & how they’re developmentally related to female sex organs) for a while because why not, i will do my best to help you.

if you haven’t had a hysterectomy, then it is logical that you could feel sexual stimulation via bottoming for anal. however, if you have had a hysterectomy, then you wouldn’t have anything equivalent to a male prostate which would make anal way less enjoyable.

that being said too everyone’s body is different. so if it does not bring joy, then don’t do it!

some general advice is to explore your body for ergonenous zones. basically it’s where your ticklish, but try different pressures & finger positions than whatever tickling is & other parts of your body might be sensitive too. seriously, older people have to explore this too because of either impotence or painful genitalia.

also distress is exhausting! being distressed &or distracted is such a buzzkill with sex. like having sex when you’re distressed is basically a bad idea.

besides that, looking into how female physiology feels (sexual) pleasure will likely be helpful for you. granted, the cissexism & even heteronormative will likely be dysphoric, but knowing how your body works is extremely empowering & i would recommend trying to research that. (diving in & coming up back for air as needed.)
