Hello! I hope you're doing great ^_^ I read your post on asteroid circe. I was wondering what it means to have circe in 8th house and aspecting to sun and pluto in natal chart? Thank you in advance :))) <3

thank you for your patience and for sending me your chart!!! but after receiving quite a few asks and comments about circe aspects and placements i decided to continue the series (reminders: @bitchimrawlikethat , @mishap-missy , @herwonderlandmentality , @oolabb )!

all of this is in my opinion. some of it you may be like how tf did she come up with this. my answer: intuition and experience with other people's charts that i have available to me. warning i can be harsh: please don't take everything i say as predestined, astrology is possible outcomes not guaranteed ones. plus let's not forget orbs matter, dominance matters, etc. it's never just circe (34). this is just a starting place for when examining a single asteroid in an entire galaxy. take what resonates and leave what doesn't!

*all of these observations are based on a natal chart - solar return and persona charts will change all these observations because the context is different*

aries (1°, 13°, 25°): you too may enjoy being the queen of the island. you love power, but circe felt threatened by odysseus and his crew's presence initially as she wanted to be rid of them. you could be opposed to adventurous-spirited people and/or those who are too curious about you. you may try to get rid of those who are too curious about you or that pose a threat to your power. you may find you are easily bored - you may find it hard to follow through with a ritual (like cord cutting - you may be the type to walk away because it's taking too long (please never walk away from cord cutting rituals)) or with finishing a portion of study, but if you really want something, you can have it.

taurus (2°, 14°, 26°): you totally would turn someone you view as a threat into a pig - you'd probably sell them too. you are likely a stubborn lover - you have an unshakeable love for people, which makes it difficult when they decide to break things off with you. you are the type to reject that it is happening. you may even turn it back on them that they take you and your presence in their life for granted - and they totally do. a love like yours is rare - you would do anything for the people you love. you may do magic and manipulate others to turn a profit though.

gemini (3°, 15°, 27°): you are probably the type of ex-lover / vengeful lover who ceases communication. i have seen people with this placement and even the degree completely withdraw from communication with the people they "love" when they do something "wrong". and it sucks because we really do take your communication/conversation for granted - we only know it after you are gone. but with great power comes great responsibility - you may tend to manipulate others because you know just how badly they want you in their life. on the other hand, though these placements tend to have extensive knowledge about the occult - they enjoy studying the world of magic and have a natural curiosity about it.

cancer (4°, 16°, 28°): you are probably a vengeful lover being ruled by the moon with this placement. your mood and feelings towards your lover change often - one day, you'll be devoted to them, and the next, you'll be almost (or totally) spiteful towards them. you are likely opposed to the newcomers in your life - you have a lovely home and garden; why do you need some strangers coming in and ruining that for you? you are likely an introvert who likes doing their own thing - people might take for granted that you "like being alone" or "being in your home" though and don't invite you places (odysseus didn't invite circe to go back to the mainland with him). you are the most likely of the signs to practice ritual magic.

leo (5°, 17°, 29°): your courtships might be complicated. you might be super loyal to a person who is not as committed as you are… you are likely to experience a courtship where you are deeply in love then the other person leaves. chances are you might have (will) felt (feel) secure in the connection, and thought that there was no way they would leave. they could be with you for a long time, you might have a home together, maybe even children… then they do leave. if children are involved, leo circe people do tend to manipulate their children into disliking their ex-partner.

virgo (6°, 18°): you are likely a critical romantic partner - if they wrong you, you will do whatever is in your power to ruin their day. you are the type of vengeful that will take the fridge lightbulb, the spinning table in the microwave, poke a hole in their tire so they have a slow leak, etc. you want them to feel the pain. you are also very convincing to listen to because you carefully tell the truth in such a way that it could even lies are true (fae complex is strong in this placement lol).

libra (7°, 19°): the people you think are your companions are often the ones you should trust the least - like circe you are experiencing the lovestruck nature she had toward odysseus. your partner may also be brave and adventurous, both of these traits pique your interest, but they also may leave you to continue their life's adventure. if you don't agree with them running off and they didn't tell you beforehand that that was always the intention - you are likely to search for justice. like circe your voice likely draws people in - it is magical and musical sounding. you could be a great enchantress and/or manifester with this placement.

scorpio (8°, 20°): this is circe. at least, this is what i feel is her truest placement. you are passionate and would do anything for the people you love. but also you can be cruel and resentful towards those who have wronged you. this is the ultimate vengeful lover placement. your passions are often taken for granted - in fact, people often use you when they learn that you care or when they know you like a specific thing they will manipulate you into doing it for them. you are prone to resentment because you often only recognize that you were used after the fact. you give off extremely witchy vibes and probably practice any magic that you learn about.

sagittarius (9°, 21°): traveler often visit these placements. you are not big on traveling; you do however find yourself in the company of adventurous and well-traveled individuals. you likely aren't a very vengeful or spiteful lover - you understand what it means to live momentarily and love temporarily but fully. you are likely a very devoted partner - you could even idolize them. you likely practice culturally based magic specific to your ancestry - you may even be able to contact your ancestors (you could be a medium)!

capricorn (10°, 22°): you may take your presence in the world a bit too seriously - not everyone is supposed to become a god, queen, or famous in a lifetime. you'd be best served taking some of the expectations and responsibilities off of yourself. you will find that life gets better when you aren't anxious to be perfect. you may even find that success comes more readily then. that being said, you are likely a great presence to behold. you may be pretty intimidating due to your power. you may be a professional astrologer or witch. you may know all too well what it is like to be abandoned by others - you may find yourself utterly alone / isolated at some point in life.

aquarius (11°, 23°): you probably get too close to people too soon - you might even be too trusting towards the wrong people in your life. you may not like explorers and adventurers in your proximity, but when they prove they are brave enough to confront your mystical energy or outsmart you, you likely drop your guard. be aware though: that is still a stranger - recognize that just because wish to explore curiosities doesn't mean that you should invite them into your private realm. there are nuances to knowing people: acquaintances, friends, and intimates. try not to go 0 to 100. you likely aren't that manipulative or vengeful, which is why i am laying it on thick in your description - this might just be the most vulnerable of the circe placements. especially since you are likely a very gifted spiritualist - people may use you for your abilities.

pisces (12°, 24°): you may find you are deeply connected to everything around you - to the point that people may say you are intuitive. circe knew that the men were no good at first sight. but you may also have your rose-colored glasses on; circe saw odysseus as a hero and someone to worship - sometimes you may take gut feelings too far. circe ended up being abandoned because she didn't stick with her initial intuitive feeling - you, too, may overlook possible negatives after the first observation. you may seek revenge because you put too much stock into situations and feelings. you may love too hard and feel betrayed too harshly. you are likely a schemer; you don't like when people betray you, and you often deal out a deserving punishment. you are likely very magically inclined.

1h: people likely take your ability, attitude, and confidence for granted. you have a mystical energy around you - your aura is likely very strong and of a deeper color variety. you aren't the type to get revenge on just anyone in your life; you understand the karmic cycles and you understand that the universe has your back. your morality is of a higher variety - you wouldn't willfully harm someone that has done you wrong unless they have gone too unchecked in the world. and because your attitude and morality are superior to most a lot of the time you have the power to sway/manipulate others to see the way you philosophize the situation at hand. you are likely seen mystically.

2h: you know what you give and what you receive - you keep tally. so you seek revenge on your lovers in an equal measure. you won't allow others to use you and get away with it. you will not let someone be indebted to you or you to them. you might be someone who is particularly well versed in the world of debts; thus, you can easily convince/manipulate other views on what they are owed and how they should acquire what they are owed. you may be someone who frequently does exchange readings.

4h: you are likely a domestic queen - you know how to survive on your own and take care of yourself as well as the land around you. you likely have an impressive herb collection and/or garden. herbs are probably very imperative to your spellwork. when someone messes with your little ecosystem (the homestead and your peace within it), you are very likely to attack theirs. people may always assume that you will remain peaceful, calm, and be a homebody - they do not believe that you would leave the comfort you find there to find them. you totally would, especially if they messed with you. you likely come from a line of witches or those with ancestral roots in the practice.

5h: your lover might leave you with a child and dip. this will likely infuriate you because they promised you to stay, and it was not the case… thus you might use your child to exact your revenge on your previous lover. you might even turn your child against them and build up your child's beliefs that your ex-lover is a bad person. you do tend to be taken advantage of for your ability to love people, so you do tend to make those who have wronged you feel truly hated. you might really enjoy plays and films about witches (macbeth, stardust, the craft, etc.).

6h: your constant, unwavering presence in a person's life can be taken for granted. people tend to always assume that you will be there for them and that is not the case. you will not be the person who stays if they betray you - in fact, you are the first to leave at any hint that they are hesitant towards you. you will seek your revenge by ruining their day-to-day life - suffering is not done in a vacuum when it comes to those who have done you dirty. they say that those with a routine are the most vulnerable of people - you don't mind exploiting their own routine to get back at them. these people often have a familiar in my experience - you might have a cat or some sort of creature that is always by your side. you likely practice ritual magic.

7h: you may assume that your partners are just as committed as you are, but that doesn't tend to be the case - and when that happens, you step into your villain era and become the ultra circe. your dislike for past partners is no secret. people take advantage of your love, and you never react well to that - you don't let them get away with it. you could be manipulative in the area of agreements and romances just like you could have a gift for love magic.

8h: your vengeance against a lover is complete when they are dead, or they find they can't live without you and you have moved on. nothing is sweeter to you than total revenge - they are dead and you aren't, they can't move on but you can, etc. you can be convincing with your displays of passion - people think that you care more than you do or you care a lot about something and now the other person also cares a lot about something. but people also tend to take advantage of your passion. when they see that you love something, they exploit it and use that thing against you. on a lighter note, chances are you are passionate about the occult - you can be a very talented magic user.

9h: your revenge is often extremely meditative; it is no secret to the people around you that you are after someone. you are devoted to getting even with those who have wronged you. people take advantage of your devotion to them. if they know that you love them, they know you will do nearly anything for them - learn new languages, bring their entire family into your home, etc. they simply take advantage of this knowledge. but you tend to be on top of your game in that you are extremely crafty with your knowledge and beliefs - you can convince people of a different reality than the one that they are living in. and this could go on for years - odysseus saw really no purpose in traveling home when circe kept telling him it wasn't safe and that he should stay. but more often than not your lovers do go where you can not follow them. you could be very good at deity work, ceremonial/ritual magic, and could even have your own grimoires.

10h: you likely target the ambitions, status, and career of your ex-lovers to take them down. you don't let them have their reputation intact when they leave you - you likely don't let morality or dignity get in your way. their downfall is all that matters; you don't care how bad you look when causing it. which is ironic because they likely took advantage of your morality (they knew you would take them in when they were down on their luck), popularity, or even your professional status to get ahead - they assumed you would not do anything to tarnish their reputation if it risks your own. they are dead wrong though. you likely can be seen as right even when you are wrong because you can twist the morality in the room to favor you. you could be a professional occultist.

11h: you, like the 10h circe, target social standings to get your revenge on an ex-lover. people tend to take advantage of your group mentality - they assume that you will always be their friend even if they abandon you. you might just be "friends" with your ex-lovers so they know that you will always be there to take them down if they try to hurt you more. you might even have a shared friend group with your ex-lover because oftentimes your lover's friends become your friends (you tend to welcome those from your lover's world into your own). you have the gift to socially manipulate/convince them that you are right and those that don't agree with you are wrong. you could be good at manifesting - a lot of your wishes come true.

12h: circe had a following of large animals, so you, too, may like or have exotic pets that others typically do not have (snakes, scorpions, etc.). your greatest weapon is likely your ability to manipulate others into doing your dirty work for you. you may prefer to live in isolation - circe lived on the island alone until odysseus and his crew showed up. you may have an interest in the unknown - in terms of magic, you may find yourself curious about meditation or astral projection. you get your revenge on your ex-lovers the most frequently of the placements - mainly because you keep a lot of blackmail. you don't let other's treachery ruin you; you spin it back on them. you also have a very intriguing presence that most people are incapable of ignoring.

moon: positive aspects: you are likely someone who lives very peacefully and does a lot of things for yourself. you likely maintain your household and land all by yourself in the most impressive of ways. you likely have charms throughout your home to protect its energy: sigils, selenite above doors, bells, etc. you are likely a very good cook and some may even say a magical one - you likely can make many things from scratch: lip balm, sugar scrubs, cleaning supplies, etc. you are likely very good at potions and craft work in terms of magic. negative aspects: you are cautious when letting people into your home and tend to avoid it if you can. it's not that you are insecure about the looks of where you live, you just know that when people come over they tend to stay longer than you planned and you are someone who doesn't like a lot of socializing as it tends to be very emotionally draining. people tend to take your homemaking for granted - they might not respect your home (e.g., they likely wall on your new carpets with shoes on, then could break a decor piece, etc.). you could also struggle with motherhood - your child could look like your ex-lover.

mercury: positive aspects: you could have a strong connection with animals in which they are extremely protective of you because they love and respect you. you could be very dedicated to your magical studies and have the correct mindset when practicing which allows for favorable outcomes. you can be a very convincing communicator - people frequently believe the things you tell them. negative aspects: animals can be extremely scared of you because they see/sense your power as threatening. you aren't someone who trusts others easily. you definitely aren't a fan of close groups - you likely see them as cliques and dangerous. you likely aren't a big communicator - you tend to "shoot first, ask questions later." meaning you can be on the defense in a dialogue. though often it is because you feel threatened by the unknown of the situation - often your first encounters with people tend to be abrasive. you tend to use your knowledge of others to get revenge on them.

venus: positive aspects: you have a very witchy aesthetic that is dark and intriguing. you have a high aptitude for magic and occult practices - they tend to yield positive results. you are likely a very loyal companion when you trust the other person - it can be a very intense and intimate feeling to outsiders. a lot of your new contacts develop into romantic ones when you feel attracted to them. you could be a good singer, which intrigues others to want to know more about you. you could also have an expansive garden that has so many things in it that you hardly know what everything is. negative aspects: your diplomacy could use some work for sure - a lot of unnecessary drama unfolds because you tend to be overly aggressive when people are merely curious about you and what you are doing. believe it or not, not everyone means you harm. you don't need to default to shaming others or making a spectacle of them (circe turned the crew into pigs). you could be involved in a marital affair - often it is the case that a married individual is involved with you (you typically aren't the one who is married). people tend to invite themselves over to your space - without your own knowledge or okay. a warning to the gardeners - you are likely growing something that is poisonous to you or that you have an allergy to.

mars: positive aspects: you can be a very active individual in the realm of homesteading or magic. you might have a blog of some sort that is controversial though it likely has very honest and likely has accurate thoughts about the community and/or the topics at hand (some of the youtube homesteaders i see with this aspect say things like "i'm a real person with a real budget," "this is just how it [their home] looks on a normal day," "damn that plant died - whelp that happens, not everyone has all day to babysit one plant and drip can't save every plant," etc). you keep it real. you likely are someone that helps out other individuals - you help them to maintain their "main character" energy (typically it is a romantic partner). negative aspects: you are prone to attacking others - just like the mercury aspecting people, you "shoot first, ask questions later." you are typically on the physical defense - you likely make people feel small and insignificant (circe turned the crew into pigs). you likely don't care if what you do hurts others - you want them to feel pain in hopes that it causes negative feedback/reinforcement so they stop doing what they are doing (very pavlovian lol). you can be a very cruel individual - your temper is not something others should mess around with. you may be prone to lustful activities as well - let's not forget that circe and odysseus barely knew one another, then next thing you knew, she was having three of his children.

jupiter: positive aspects: you have an abundance of witchy power (could be a known witch to society) that should not be wasted. talent like yours is not frequently found. you exchange your energy with very powerful entities be it gods, spirits, demons, or the universe. you are nonetheless a very loyal individual and always show your gratitude and appreciation. you never let these entities do something for you without recognition and appreciation. you are also someone that does a lot of your own studying and research in the world of the occult and witchcraft - similar to 3h placements you likely read a lot about witches in your spare time even in the fictional sense. you are also a very self-sufficient individual - you can do it all on a homestead. negative aspects: you likely abuse the power you have and use it for "evil" and torment others (piss-jar with wasps and chili powder in it type of energy with these placements for real). you need to be very careful that you aren't crossing the lines of magic because the entities that gave you abilities will not be pleased if you aren't showing your appreciation to them - it is giving angry toxic parent vibes "i brought you into this world, i can take you out of it". they gave you your abilities, they can and will take them away. if you think that you owe no one your power, you are dead wrong. be a loyal servant to the world you live in and the energy in it. all magic has a cost association. on a lighter note, be careful who you do exchanges with; they are likely to use you and not repay the exchange (but that might just be because you aren't repaying your entities - so they are the pawns meant to collect debts).

saturn: positive aspects: you like living in solitude; there is something so peaceful about it. it might just be because it allows you to take your time - "slow-living" is a homestead quality; it takes time to make things of quality! you understand that. I feel like this placement makes poppets and guardians - there is a lot of waiting and patience involved in those magic processes. but you have what is required to collect what is necessary, wait for astrological events, make the figures, etc. you are a very attentive and studious individual, so you don't mind taking the time to have all the details correct in your practice. negative aspects: you may be constantly on guard about others taking you for granted or manipulating you into doing what they want. you are prone to animosity, contempt, and disdain towards others. but that does not mean closing yourself off to the world (which you are for sure guilty of doing); you should learn to stifle these fears without disciplining/withdrawing from others. simply be on guard. you have a natural mistrust toward others. you may have a cold disposition. you likely enjoy when justice is served (you probably watched the heard v. depp case closely and were excited that depp won).

uranus: positive aspects: you like circe love the freedom associated with being completely alone and away from your kind. you would likely enjoy trading humanity for cows on a farm or a home in louisiana where alligators are rather close (pearl, is that you?). you are all good to pull an H. D. Thoreau to be one with nature. others are very likely to view your life as unconventional for this reason. but you like weird and bizarre things and don't care what others think. you could probably shock someone with your skills of persuasion. this uranus aspect often reminds me that magic and occult are not always just about myth, astrology, spell jars, herbs, etc. but rather modern magic is science! you may find that you are rather gifted at inventing new technology or scientific techniques. negative aspects: you can ruin your ex-lovers, and you totally would/will. you can very suddenly upend their entire life without so much as a second thought. your romantic life seems to follow in the footsteps of circe's - very quickly falling in love and trying to make/plan a life together - but be aware: your partners aren't often able of adapting to your lifestyle and frequently leave.

neptune: positive aspects: witch aesthetics for days. everything in your realm has a little bit of magic in it. you might be someone who really enjoys witch stories and tales - you probably specifically look for myths, fiction, movies, and tv shows about witches like 3h/5h placements and mercury/jupiter aspects. you might just write your own tale about witches. you might be prone to falling in "love" quickly. these placements tend to be oracles in their own right. negative aspects: you are likely playing a dangerous game and practicing black magic - i implore you to read my warning to jupiter negative aspects. be careful with the entities in your realm; they do not tolerate people using them or abusing the power they gave them - they don't mind letting karma catch up with you. you likely blackmail others with the information they gave you - but not without being betrayed first ("release the receipts"). these aspects tend to experience a lot of betrayal in life, which leads them to the world of "dark" magic. you have the power to curse others but should be careful because there is always a price/debt that will be paid with or without your agreement on what that will be.

pluto: positive aspects: you are probably the strongest of the magic users on this aspect portion of the list - though it may be a toss-up between you and the jupiter aspecting people. you have the power to transform those around you and even yourself. you can even manifest others to appear in front of you. you could also control/guide how karma catches up with people - though it is a delicate art to conquer. negative aspects: you like the venus aspect people are likely to end up in adulterous relationships - you likely aren't the one in a committed relationship though, know that having this knowledge and continuing doesn't make you any less at fault. often if you do continue on these relationships tend to end with them leaving you. you then tend to resort to underhanded behavior that takes down your ex-lover in a very complete/final way. like mars aspecting people, you are prone to lust - love is different than lust, and a lot of your romantic struggle can be resolved by learning to differentiate the two.

asc: positive aspects: you likely have a very dark aura consisting of various shades purples, blacks, and whites. you have a witchy energy and aesthetic. you are seen by others as someone very strong and independent. you can show people what you want them to see. you have an intriguing/mysterious vibe that makes others curious about you. negative aspects: people can be very put off by your presence - they may even be intimidated by your power. people may feel as though you are constantly looking down upon them and making them feel less than you. you might throw off illusions/glamours different from who you truly are.

mc: positive aspects: people know of you as strong feminine energy with a lot of power. people also know you to be generous and willing to help those in need. negative aspects: you can have a reputation as a cutthroat who doesn't mess around. many may know you as someone who demands a lot of respect from others. you might tend to abuse the power you have and manipulate others.

hermes: positive aspects: you have respect for the higher powers and trust them to give others information about you who have good intentions towards you. you trust higher powers to bring you equals and those you need into your life. negative aspects: there are people around you who are willing to exploit your weaknesses and make you susceptible to those around you. people in power around you do not hesitate to exploit your vulnerabilities and make you powerless in your situation.

odysseus/ulysses: positive aspects: you easily fall in love with those around you - you tend to be starstruck by brave and heroic individuals. you might have a thing for travelers and foreigners - they tend to intrigue you because you wish to know where they have been. negative aspects: you likely have bitterness toward your ex-lovers - there is very little chance that you stay friends with them after a breakup. you are someone who seeks revenge and will likely turn others against your ex-lover. you aren't someone who does your own dirty work - do with that what you will because it is both a smart yet troubling methodology that you don't get your hands dirty but do not care about involving innocent people.

penelope: positive aspects: you might have a common taste in men as other women around you. you might see the same good qualities in the men around you as other women do. negative aspects: the other woman motif. you are easily jealous of other women who interact with a man you view as "yours". men tend to leave you for their past lover(s).

Perseus was the son of Zeus and Danae and is the renowned slayer of Medusa. His story begins with his grandfather, Acrisius. Acrisius was the king of Argos and father of Danae. He frequently sought the advice of Apollo's Oracles and one told him that the sons of Danae would kill him. After hearing that, the king locked his daughter in an underground chamber. But nothing is ever enough to keep Zeus away from a mortal who catches his attention. The king came down to visit Danae one day only to discover she held Perseus in her arms. He locked the two in a chest and chunked the two out to sea. The chest washed ashore to the island Seriphos and was caught in the net of Dictys, the brother of the king. He offered Danae a place to stay and protected her from curious individuals. His brother, Polydectes, however fell in love with Danae the moment he saw her. She rejected him and Polydectes became resolved to win her hand. Perseus he saw as the only obstacle he had to remove from the equation. Polydectes pretended to become engaged to Hippodameia and by royal decree he commanded that everyone bring a horse as a bride-gift. Perseus was poor and asked what he could bring as an altnerative and was told the head of Medusa. Perseus wandered for days without finding the Gorgon. Athena (who gave him a bronze shield) and Hermes (who gave him an adamantine sickle) advised him to seek Medusa's sisters, the Graeae. They gave to him the impenetrable bag and winged sandals. Then told him to find the nymphs of the north who possessed Hades's Cap of Invisibility. He used the reflection of the shield to seek Medusa and beheaded Medusa unseen by her gaze. A solider and winged horse sprang from her neck. Perseus put the head in the bag and with it he turned the king who set his quest to stone like he did to Atlas on his trek home. The fixed star Algol is located on the outer edge of Perseus's constellation - it is said to be Medusa's third eye in his constellation. IN MY OPINION Algol in a chart can represent a) what you believe to be evil, b) the cruelty/rage you have in your life, c) your greatest weapon, and/or d) the power you have.

planetary and asteroidal retrogrades

thank you for the compliment!! sure thing, let’s talk about it! and since we reached 100 posts last night, let’s celebrate with this long post!

retrograde is when an object appears to move backward or appears smaller when in reality, it is doing what it always does. the keyword is appears - during a retrograde or having natal retrogrades means that your perception in the area said planet or asteroid is located is altered in comparison to how it would be normally or in comparison to others. anything that is retrograded in your chart can indirectly affect you OR the aspect of the planet or asteroid takes longer to develop. in my aphrodite signs, degrees, houses, and aspects post i presented retrograde as though the effects everyone is about to read are slower to develop than those who have a direct asteroid - this post will be a breakdown similar to that post, reflecting on the planets and five common asteroid i see retrograded in a chart and advice for each retrograde.

feel free to use the following to analyze your natal chart, solar returns, or as a survival guide during retrograde periods! USE THIS AS MOMENTARY FOR TRANSITS AND LONG-TERM WHEN PRESENT IN YOUR NATAL CHART. if you have a retrograde in your chart, i have noticed that when that retrograde is in effect, life seems easier.

MERCURY: retrograde occurs three or four times a year for around three weeks.

i believe that if MERCURY is retrograde, people have a slower manner of speaking or i always find that they need speed to be faster (2x on youtube videos type vibes). this is a time in which people may write slower. they likely have a harder time in school or learning something new, they may be the least likely to change things when they have found what works for them. they may be forgetful or rather unorganized, these people seem rather nervous to me - you can usually see it in the hands, they may be unsteady, nail bitters, hand talkers, etc. this is all a means to let out extra nervous energy. they may also experience paranoia or social anxiety worrying about what others think and feel towards them. gossip may be a downfall for them or stir up worse situations for them. they may have an issue with profanity as well; it could be the mouth of sailors and truckers OR someone who doesn’t ever say curse words at all and gawks at those that say them.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: deep breathing exercises. creating your own shorthand when writing notes. affirmations (you’re smart, grades aren’t everything, you gave it your best, you tried today and you’ll try tomorrow, you’re safe, etc.). trying one new thing a week - how do you know it’s the only thing that works if it took you this long to find it? couldn’t there be another option as well? try a fidget tool. make to-do lists. don’t comment when provoked or just to do so - think before you say things. evaluate how you go about your life - improve where you can. breathing before you speak; people who curse a lot have a lot of penned up energy, gotta let that out if you are trying to not curse as much (especially if you are trying to do so because of children around you) OR breathe when you hear someone curse and you don't like it - not everyone says, acts, or reacts like you and that’s okay - it’s part of the human experience.

VENUS: retrograde occurs roughly every eighteen months for around a month and a half.

VENUS retrograde people may be late bloomers in terms of love and relationships - that’s perfectly fine. never try to lower your standards just to fit in and reach a milestone. that being said, i find that a lot of venus retrograde people struggle to come to terms with their sexuality and oftentimes clothing is used to shelter it. they may take longer to find a style that works for them. they may not be trusting toward women - it may take time to warm up to them. they could be maximalists or minimalists have no in between. they may not like social functions finding them uncomfortable or anxiety-invoking. they may not feel pretty or graceful very often as well.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: take time away from social media. don’t be afraid to explore sexuality or style at your own pace (remember you are beautiful - it’s scary to try new things but scary doesn’t mean bad, ugly, and/or unworthy). spend time with the women you trust and feel safest with. practice decluttering for the maximalist and practice gifting yourself something you truly want (NOT WHAT YOU NEED lol) for the minimalist. self-care. if you have to go to a social event, give yourself a time marker. ex: just for one hour, when dinner is over, etc OR tell yourself you have to say hi to ___ before you can leave or set a number of people you want to say hello before dipping. AFFIRMATIONS (you are kind, you are beautiful, you have lovely hair, etc.).

MARS: retrograde occurs roughly every two years for around two to three months.

MARS retrograde people are people that not as assertive as the rest of those around them. it’s usually because they have low energy, they easily get tired of trying to assert themselves or make others hear them. they may be quick to anger and have a hard time reallocating that anger into doing something productive. it’s hard for them to turn strong emotion into a passion. these people may also have an issue with blood - heavy periods, irregular periods, fear of blood, anemia, etc. they also may be uncomfortable around masculine energy. they are likely not impulsive rather they stick to what they know. i feel like MARS retrograde people are always collecting injuries - it doesn’t matter what they are doing. opening the mail? paper cut. working on the computer? tennis elbow or carpal tunnel. out for a walk? they fell or have some type of foot problem now. there could be struggles with independence or leadership (i feel like pissing competitions are most common in mars retrogrades)…

my advice for surviving this retrograde: brainstorm everything you want to say to assert yourself and pick the best option. sleep, relax - a few “lazy” days never killed anyone OR have a lowkey day a walk instead of a run, meal prep. or do something that will help you out for when tiredness kicks in again. if people don’t get what you are trying to tell them or telling you "no" when it's a good idea and you know it is going to work - stop trying to assert yourself and just do it (sheila buff is quaking). but no seriously it’s better to ask forgiveness than permission as they say. try yoga, swimming, or walking to release excess energy! brainstorming random ideas - journals are your friends - track your mood, keep a dream log, and write down good ideas you have (you can always return to these ideas when you get the energy to do stuff again). if you have issues with blood you are not alone - i hate getting blood drawn (my recent trip to the ER, i needed an IV and the guy was like "scared? don't worry, i don’t like needles either THATS WHY I DON'T LOOK WHEN I PUT THEM IN" AND I WAS BRUH STOP IT. but we did a count and I didn't look at my arm the rest of the day lol. so find what works for you: counting and not looking works for me. I don't care if they say my blood pressure is high from the anxiety lol. you aren’t alone in period issues either - talk with your doctors! MARS retrograde may not be the best of times for asserting yourself with doctors (unless you are a MARS retrograde native) BUT perhaps it's a great time to look into symptoms yourself! you know your symptoms best! if you tell a doctor and they refuse to test you or tell you "your symptoms can’t be that bad," THEY ARE GASLIGHTING YOU! find a new doctor - your feelings are valid - if you say the pain or the symptoms aren’t normal then your are right! it’s okay to not like or feel uncomfortable around masculine energy - stick to the masculines you trust or hang out with feminines! try something new each week. for the love of the gods PLEASE AVOID ANYTHING THAT MAY RESULT IN AN ER VISIT: no bungee jumping for the first time, tubing, hand gliding, etc. practice patience; people will always be at your throat with this retrograde, just breathe and smile all the while calling them an asshole in your head :).

JUPITER: retrograde occurs roughly every year for around four months.

feeling unlucky? i feel like that’s a common trend for JUPITER retrograde people. there is often a struggle with optimism - these people are realists or pessimists by nature. they may also struggle with growing up - this could be related to separating from parents, getting a job, leaving a home town, or even going away for school… expanding from these pre-existing notions tends to be hard on them. it may even be a struggle to start dating - they may be late to the dating realm or getting into a relationship compared to those around them. this retrograde can show a person who is either super devote or an atheist. they are less likely to "pay it forward" to others - it may be due to past experiences, “no good deed goes unpunished.” their judgment may be either too realistic or too impractical. they may be a glutton or on the other extreme end someone who believes they didn't do enough to deserve a prize.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: be proactive - sometimes having a ritual helps. it may sound crazy but doing something like a cleanse, a cinnamon ritual, a simmer pot, a tarot reading, etc. every first of the month may help change your mindset from pessimistic to optimistic. growing up is rough but hey we all do it and time waits for no human - walk before the universe shoves you along unwillingly. change is good. i’m not gonna lie to you dating sucks… people are weird. my only advice is not to take things so seriously, if you are looking for romance :/ get a book - it’s definitely not perfect day one of any dating scene. if you are dating then everyone is allowed to date other people including you - when you are exclusive is when ya’ll shouldn’t be talking to other people. don’t assume exclusivity on day one, its 2022 lol. and definitely don't rush into a relationship to catch up to those around you - it’s not a competition. religion is great don’t shit on others for not sharing your beliefs or lack thereof though. pay it forward is good vibe energy - every day is a new day, don’t think that others wouldn't do the same for you OR you’ll pay for it later - embrace the positive and move forward. practice active listening to others - you may be a realist while some one else is a dreamer, a healthy balance is somewhere in between. treat yourself to something healthy - something you’ve wanted to try OR for the glutton, look around in an area you haven’t been recently in a closet or a cabinet is a favorite you have long forgotten, rediscover the joy you felt when you find it again for the first time. number a list of things you want to do (all in your price range and capabilities) use a random number generator and go do what it lands on. take the scenic route or a different route home than you normally do. play a card game.

SATURN: retrograde occurs roughly every year for around four to five months.

SATURN retrograde people likely had to grow up very quickly - during this retrograde you may need to be more mature. they are likely always early or always late. there are likely a lot of self-restrictions - this could be due to a lack of self-approval. they may feel as though they too experienced a lot of unluckiness similar to JUPITER retrograde. they may experience a lot of delays - usually self-provoked, they may hold themselves back in the area where this planet transits or sits in their chart due to a fear of failure or generalized fears/anxieties. they may receive a lot of bruising and other injuries, especially broken bones. they may be haunted by their past. they may experience sickness: chronic or acute - most common is depression (which may cause a lot of isolation from others) and frequent common colds. this is likely to cause a lot of frustration with themselves due to a hatred of being limited. they may have a lot of responsibilities and work hard to reach their high expectations. in philosophical states, their views may be more conservative wanting the harshest justice to be served. and last but not least, fatherly turmoil - it is highly likely there are a lot of issues surrounding a relationship between this person and their father.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: revisit childhood in a safe environment like therapy or a shadow-work journal. do something that you have wanted to do since childhood. show up somewhere late for the early bird and show up somewhere early for the late comer. buy yourself something you’ve been wanting but have been saying you’ll wait until something big happens. take a leap of faith. rest and care for yourself - have a lot of downtime, eat well, and do low-intensity exercise. know that there is no time like the present to start taking care of yourself - limitation now is not limitation life long. people who don’t take care of themselves when they feel bad only drain themselves more in the long run - take care of yourself! it’s not terrible to not reach all of your goals in a day. make three goals a day - no more, no less and certainly not something you can’t complete in a day (like buy a house, see the world, etc. it has to be manageable!). be reasonable with your views - it’s okay if others do not agree with you. life would be boring if we all had the same thoughts and beliefs.

NEPTUNE: retrograde occurs roughly every year for around five months.

NEPTUNE retrograde people typically struggle with their thoughts - during this retrograde you may feel like you can’t think straight or that you are more critical of yourself. these people frequently struggle with spirituality - not knowing what to trust or if it’s a good idea to be all in with a group mentality when it comes to following faith. these people typically have a different taste in music compared to everyone else - they may only listen to jazz or classical or something rather underground OR their taste in music doesn’t appear to match them at all. they may feel creatively blocked or like they only have creativity to help them express themselves. they may daydream or use substances frequently to help escape from their reality. they may lack intuition or have an intuition that others do not believe in. they may be incredible with makeup and use it to become a “different person” or have a strong dislike towards makeup. they may have very odd dreams or feel as though they are incapable of dreaming (not true, everyone dreams but not everyone can remember what they dreamed). these people may have a hated or fear of swimming due to past experiences where they nearly drowned or did drown. they may have a story attached to them about being completely incoherent - ODs, drowning, coma, concussion, anaphylactic shock, etc.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: write down your thoughts and analyze during this retrograde, if it’s natal, OR after the retrograde ends, if it’s transit based. don’t feel as though you are required to be part of a group. listen to new music. make a list of ideas as they arise. scribbling is safer than gazing. if you are using substances please do so in a safe environment or write down what, when, and where from you are taking this substance on an appendage (this is not me saying that you should, this is me stating be safe if you do - if you believe you may have a problem, reach out and seek advice from others who you feel will not judge you, it may be an outsider and that is okay - i too am here, you are never alone if you need guidance when seeking help). be careful with makeup use - you may find that it shocks others and even yourself and can be dangerous for those who struggle with dysmorphia. keep a dream journal. monitor symptoms after injuries and tell others about your allergies!

URANUS: retrograde occurs roughly every year for around five months.

URANUS retrograde people typically struggle with their originality - during this retrograde you may feel as though you are stuck in a rut when it comes to your life and how it looks. naives may feel as though they lack freedom or have too much of it and feel rather alone and that no one cares for them in this world. they may not feel like they are capable of standing up to others. they may have deep and rather harsh thoughts about humanity. they may be prone to accidents yet preserving like surviving a devastating storm that left others harmed, dead, or stranded, they may experience electrocution (extreme ex (and the first person i thought of while rereading my post before posting it): Ted Bundy has a natal URANUS retrograde and was sentenced to death via electric chart), etc. they likely feel apart from the world - whether by choice or otherwise is the question. these people are often estranged from select people in their life - a father, a mother, grandparents, a whole side of the family, etc. they may experience unexpected and chaotic things happening around them. these things often disrupt their day-to-day life: natural disasters, divorces, health woes, etc.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: try something new and different from your norm. travel, eat something you’ve never tried before, pick a new aesthetic, change up your look! go somewhere new - get away from your routine. reach out to someone you’ve not spoken to in a while. stand up for yourself even if it’s “i don’t appreciate that” you owe no one an explanation. and if they start talking back to you - tell them “my feelings are valid. i recognize that you disagree. we can talk at a later time.” and walk away - anything that happens after that statement is not your fault. you are okay and you spoke your mind and that is something to be proud of! be careful about who you share your views with. don’t give up on finding your people - they are out there! it takes time. if someone abandons you: IT IS NOT AND HAS NEVER BEEN YOUR FAULT. you guys can (could’ve) fix (fixed) things if they stay, you guys can’t fix things if they aren’t there. THAT IS NOT YOUR FAULT - THEM LEAVING IS NOT YOUR FAULT. on the flip side, it is okay to leave those who you feel don’t make you a better person, who harm you, or alienate you! you deserve more! prepare for anything! prep a go-bag for your car, always have a week's worth of food in case of an emergency, meal prep, check your expiration dates on medications you need to live, buy a generator, make sure you have a list of emergency contacts, pay attention to the weather, make sure you have gas in your car and air in your tires, TAKE CARE OF ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH YOU BEING STRANDED OR COULD LEAVE YOU STRANDED! take survival course or read a book of wildness survival.

PLUTO: retrograde occurs roughly every year for around five to six months.

PLUTO retrograde people may experience a lot or very minimal death and change in their life - during this retrograde you may experience a death or life-changing event. these people may be extremely sexual beings or not sexual at all. they are likely not the most willing to eliminate the things in their life that are no longer the best for them. they may lack a lot of motivation compared to others. they may not let others get close to them due to not feeling safe or not feeling secure enough to expose themselves. they may be extremely ruthless or lack a spine when it comes to asserting themselves. they may have issues with people with power as well. they can be easily provoked. power to them may be or look like something to be destroyed or something that is too over the top, like a dictatorship.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: as a pluto dominant person, i can tell you, change is natural as is death - both are scary but in time things regulate and become still again. take advantage of resources like therapy to help cope and also downtime. people who are in mourning or are always on the go with change in life forget to stand still and breathe! it’s okay to take a break and rest! get STD/STI testing. do a juice cleanse and take your ACV and cranberry pills. make sure you are being safe. cleanse your space, declutter, and go through old contacts/following list it is time to remove the things that no longer serve you. clean out the closets, following lists, the memory bin, photos, and detox from all that stuff you’ve been dragging along! it’s okay to let go - if a lot of feelings arise ask yourself: is this a positive feeling (keep) or a negative feeling (next question)? is this a thing i would like to fix and have the ability to do so (keep) or something that can’t be fixed (get rid of) or i can’t fix it myself (take it somewhere to be fixed or contact who you need to fix things with)? after talking with the person who i needed to fix things with or getting the object mended - do i feel like this object/relationship was worth the time and energy expending? if yes, keep and continue to use the object or talk with the person as you get used to them being in your life again. do a weekly check-in with yourself to ensure you are still happy with your decision. if not get rid of the object OR block and delete the contact! we do have time for energy vampires around here! this is a great time to take your time - think through things! tell someone about something you haven’t told anyone about. be careful when asserting yourself or take a note from the URANUS retrograde handbook: “stand up for yourself even if it’s “i don’t appreciate that” you owe no one an explanation. and if they start talking back to you - tell them “my feelings are valid. i recognize that you disagree. we can talk at a later time.” and walk away - anything that happens after that statement is not your fault you are okay and you spoke your mind and that is something to be proud of!” go on a yoni or phalanx retreat. power structures will always exist try to evaluate the good and the bad of the one you exist in. if you see more bad than good perhaps it’s time for a big change! look into other places with other power structures and investigate/plan how you can make your life happen there!

popular asteroids that i often see retrograded:

aphrodite (asteroid 1388)

aphrodite retrograde people may experience extremes like stalkers or not being adored by others at all. they may feel unseen and unappreciated by others, making it extremely difficult to appreciate themselves. they may experience a lot of drama with none of the other perks that aphrodite herself gained (attention, romance, etc.). they may not be the most jealous person but rather the person who is too insecure to be jealous - people who say “i knew it was too good to be true” or simply walk away because there is no reason to fight for what they want anyway.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: avoid social media. self-care and self-love exercises - because you can really only ever count on yourself to show and give yourself what you deserve. when you do something you appreciate, smile and acknowledge you did that! buy yourself a gift. try to remove yourself from drama, you won't be letting anyone down by doing so. affirmations. let someone know when something hurts your feelings or bothers you - don’t just walk away or brush it off. if it bothers you and they care about you, then it should bother them as well.

chiron (asteroid 2060)

chiron retrograde people may not realize they are suffering until it is too late. they carry the bulk of all burdens without realizing that they have become someone’s personal mule. they may feel as though no one sees their skills or appreciates their talents. their empathy and gestures of nurture get overlooked because it is "just a given that they are that way" - meaning they are likely surrounded by people who use them. they likely feel as though no one is there when they need someone.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: daily check-ins. evaluate relationships with others: distance yourself from those using you. appreciate a job well done by you! someone’s gotta acknowledge it, right? self-care when you feel you need someone and no one is there: watch a comedy movie BUT if it life-threatening, please call or text a hotline like 988! you matter.

eris (asteroid 136199)

eris retrograde people may unknowingly cause trouble by doing something they thought would be overlooked. they may not like confronting others because it feels uncomfortable or they feel attacked whenever they speak up for an injustice they faced - they may experience a lot of gaslighting. they may hate rivalries with others. they may feel as though they are alone even when surrounded by others.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: tread lightly, as they say, eris retrograde is like walking on thin ice. you may be doing nothing wrong yet everyone is sensitive to your actions, if not, simply your presence. know that i have yet to meet someone who does not have eris in aries and retrograde - it’s a very slow-moving asteroid. thus nearly everyone around the world feels the same way.

hermes (asteroid 69230)

hermes retrograde people may be surrounded by a lot of mischievous people and tend to take the fall for others' wrongdoings. they may feel as though the pace of their life is uncomfortable for them. these people tend to be good but get a bad wrap (kind of like eddie munson from stranger things). they may experience fertility issues. they may not be the best at balancing their life and managing their time. they may have travel-related fears (fear of flying, fear of water, fear of car accidents, etc.) due to past accidents or incidents they have experienced.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: if you are hanging around a bad group stay away from them. if it is something illegal (*group* related) and you find you can’t just leave please reach out, other resources exist in the system. i get that the word "system" may be daunting but it’s better to get out alive or with a minimal sentence and a say in your sentence than to be stuck and face a longer trial and sentence. please read the MERCURY section as well because MERCURY is the roman aspect of hermes. fertility is a problem for more people than you think but we are blessed to live in a world where there are options: adoption, fostering, surrogacy, IVF, etc. get a planner and set a date to prepare for the week ahead. exposure therapy.

vesta (asteroid 4)

vesta retrograde people feel like they lack a cause to be motivated by or feel they belong to. they may feel like everyone else or as though they try their best to fit in with others and met the milestones society sets. they may not be devoted to others after the others do something extremely kind to them. they may not be an acts of service type of person - their love language is likely not one that promotes much giving. they may despise domestic life and homestead upkeep. they may not have a solid definition of pure or have a skewed opinion of pure, holding everyone to a high standard of pure or none at all.

my advice for surviving this retrograde: don’t be too hard on yourself - everything exists on a continuum, you don’t need a big cause to feel like you have something worth to believe in and feel motivated by. you exist on your own timeline, there is no pressuring you into anything, if someone is truly are your friend they won't and shouldn't be pressuring you. say "thank you" or smile at the person who does something helpful or kind for you. please do not be too harsh with others - your expectations of those you know or barely know need to be in check; too high and you’ll have fear, hatred, or dislike, too low and you’ll have chaos, disrespect, or disappoint towards others.

typhon, father of monsters (asteroid 42355)

Typhon, sometimes referred to as Typhaon or Typhoeus, is the son of Gaea and Tartarus. Oftentimes, he is depicted as a fire-breathing dragon with one hundred heads. Typhon and Zeus went head to head in one of the first battles of the Titanomachy - Typhon repelled all the Olympians except Zeus, who had every tendon pulled out of him by Typhon. Hermes took back these tendons, and Zeus then used his bolt against Typhon and confined him under Mount Etna. Typhon was then said to be the cause of volcanic and seismic activity in the area. IN MY OPINION Typhon in your chart can represent a) where you breathe fire, b) where you scare people away, and/or c) where even suppressed, you make your presence known.

i encourage you to look into the aspects of typhon along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of typhon AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede typhon!

According to Hesiod, Iris is the daughter of Thaumas and the nymph, Electra. One of her primary responsibilities was to bring water from the river Styx to the gods so they could make their binding oaths. sisyphus, the punished king (asteroid 1866)

Sisyphus, king of Ephyra (now Corinth - a place he founded and ruled over as the first king), was the son of Aeolus and Enarete. While Sisyphus helped the city to become a nexus of trade and merchants, he did so by being deceptive. He notably broke the rules of ettiquete - one of the most important being Xenia in greek culture; the concept of hospitality that is shown to strangers and guests. Often Sisyphus would kill those who came to his home. Not only did he break this rule but he also ratted on Zeus by telling Asopus where Zeus took his daughter, Aegina, to solely to be rewarded by the river god. Zeus then demanded that Thanatos chain him in the Underworld. When Thanatos got to Sisyphus, the king asked how the chains worked that Thanatos was about to bind him with. Thanatos explained only to become chained by Sisyphus - it is said that Ares was the one to release the personification of death because no one was dying anymore in war/battle. Ares then trapped Sisyphus and handed him over to Thanatos. In some versions, it is Hades that is sent and tricked by Sisyphus who then releases the death god. To attempt escaping his fate, Sisyphus made a deal with his wife to have his body thrown in the river when he died. And she did so. When Sisyphus arrived in the Underworld, he went to Persephone and told her his wife had not given him a proper burial and because of this Persephone granted him permission to return to the land of the living to punish his wife, Merope. Sisyphus then attempted to stay in the land of the living, but Hermes dragged him back to the Underworld. Sisyphus was then made to roll a boulder up a hill and the boulder would never reach the top instead it would roll back down - forcing him to do the task for all of eternity. IN MY OPINION Sisyphus in your chart can represent a) where you are deceptive, b) where you may seem unfeeling or as though you use others, c) where you trick others, and/or d) where you are forced to find meaning in an "endless" existence or the monotony / "endless" cycle in your life.

Hey it’s me again I was wondering about my Hermes (8 degrees pisces) conjunct my sun (12 57 degrees pisces) by 5 degrees and what it would mean for me personally

pisces (12°, 24°) hermes: these people tend to stir up a lot of mischief with lies. they are prone to cheating and showing people a false persona. life moves quickest for them when there is a lot of drama around them (they enjoy being a middle man and often a moderator in this case). likewise time passes the quickest for these people when they are creating. as a contradiction to both statements, these people aren't the best at consistency when it comes to the lies they tell nor with the pursuit/practice of their creative endeavors. these people are likely to travel to places of deep spirituality. they could travel to north africa, europe, and/or portugal in particular.

scorpio (8°, 20°) hermes: mischief may arise in times of cruelty - revenge can be done in deceptive ways. often it showcases resentment towards those they once had passion for. they could experience a lot of death in their life. life moves quickly when they spend their time researching. these people aren't the best at sharing their thoughts coherently. they often get caught when they seek revenge or they have rather expressive faces in which everyone can tell what they are thinking/feeling. these people are likely to travel to places where magic and death are the most prevalent dover england, new orleans louisiana, etc.

sun-hermes: positive aspects: these people often quickly climb the ranks with their ambitious mindset; they are often unstoppable. they can be the peacekeeper between their father and the rest of their family. these people are like the stage managers of life - they organize everyone so they have it all together and moderate when things are in conflict. negative aspects: these people are willing to do whatever it takes to get to the top - their ambition is often unchecked as they only have advancement and achievement in mind. they are often seen as egotistic and egocentric. often they have a father who they don't find to be a good person or they struggle to get out from their shadow. if this person comes into power they are often not seen as the best person - the dirty deeds they have done to get where they are often come out.

Persephone is the daughter of Demeter and Zeus and infamously wed to Hades. The union of Hades and Persephone is perhaps one of the most popular and retold (A Court of Mist and Fury, A Touch of Darkness, The Star-Touched Queen, etc.) myths of Greek mythology. This is the myth regarding the Queen of the Underworld. It was a warm day in a meadow filled with blooms, Persephone was picking flowers (some say they were narcissus flowers in particular) with her hand maids (sometimes it is a nymph named Cyane). One flower in particular caught her attention, seemingly the largest and most fragrant flower in the meadow. As Persephone reached down to pick the flower, the ground opened up and from that dark crevice came Hades on a golden chariot pulled by nightmares (a type of shadow horse found in most hellscapes). Hades grabbed Persephone and pulled her into the Underworld to become his wife and queen (this may or may not have been okay-ed by Zeus lol (ALSO some versions say Hades rapes Persephone in this moment)). Hecate (who heard it) and Helios (who saw it), who are both well informed of this occurrence and told Demeter what had happened. Helios also includes that Zeus gave Hades the rights to Persephone in the terms of an arranged marriage. Demeter was outraged - similar to the Ceres post, Demeter shifted the seasons aggrieved by her daughters disappearance. Zeus only intervened when he learned that people were dying from famine due to Demeter's neglect towards the land. Zeus then sends Hermes to the Underworld to bring Persephone to Demeter. Unfortunately, and much to Demeter's dismay, Persephone had eaten a pomegranate seed during her time in the Underworld (whether by force, trick, or out of disparity is unknown and often debated). By law that one seed forced her to remain in the Underworld. Outraged once more Demeter went to Zeus who offered a compromise - Persephone could spend some of her time with Demeter and the rest with her husband, Hades. Thus Persephone’s coming and going is marked by the seasonal changes. Persephone also prominently appears in Adonis's tale. Ironically, Zeus divides Adonis's time between Persephone and Aphrodite like he did Hades and Demeter. Ultimately Adonis refuses Persephone when he is finally allowed to choose who he wishes to stay with. In some versions, Persephone sends a boar to kill Adonis - personally, I believe it was Ares. IN MY OPINION Persephone in a chart can represent a) where you are most popular and fantasized over, b) where you feel held hostage, c) where your time is not your own, d) where there are a lot of bystanders in your life, e) where your absence causes strife, and/or f) where you feel isolated.

Io was the daughter of the river god Inachus and the oceanid Melia. Io captured Zeus's attention - immediately Zeus became infatuated with her and covered the world in a blanket of storm clouds so Hera wouldn't see his pursuit of Io. His goal in this was to protect Io from Hera. To do so Zeus turned Io into a white cow; Hera then asked for the cow and had Argus (the creature with one hundred eyes) watch over her. Zeus knowing that Hera was on to him sent Hermes to Argus asking that Hermes get rid of Argus. When Argus fell asleep because of a pan flute, Hermes killed him and Io ran away. Hera was irate and sent gadflies after Io - after that the myth splits into a few different endings. Io has a child, Ceroessa, in some versions. In other versions, she keels over in Egypt near the Nile - with pity, Hera turns Io back into a human. Io is found by Telegonus, she marries him, and she has a child named Epaphus. Sometimes both children are born. IN MY OPINION Io in your chart can represent a) where you create strain in a relationship, b) where you are both something wonderful and something to be kept hidden, c) where you are tormented by other people's lack of control, and/or d) where you find yourself changed and forced to run away from a situation.

“when talking about such a popular god or goddess i am going to for warn paraphrasing - of course all these stories have more details and all these popular gods have stories within stories. i would love to share them all/in detail but i would need a book and a lot more time to write it. my attempt in writing these posts are to inform you on the high level story of the god’s or goddess’s life. that being said if any one of the events regaled in the post pique you interest - please let me know i don’t mind giving a more in-depth tale of any of the events mentioned.”

Hermes is the son of Zeus and Maia. Like nearly every god of mythology his youth seems non-existent. He was born in a cave in Arcadia at dawn and by noon he had created the first lyre to exist and learned to compose music - he wrote his own hymn to celebrate his birth (lol was it this the origin of "Happy Birthday"? who knows). By that evening he had stolen a cow from Apollo and as an apology he gave the cow back and gifted Apollo the lyre along with a promise of friendship (awww). Hermes has many moments in which he presents as a darling to those around him: guiding Persephone back to Demeter, being a wingman (haha wing-man) for his father, presenting Paris at the wedding where Eris destroyed the peace with the apple of discord, etc. Hermes knowingly manages and controls the balance of harmony between the gods by doing all these darling acts. While Hermes is considered one of the twelve top Olympians, he doesn’t typically strike out on his own adventure instead he plays a role in nearly myth in some form or another. This included his role with many lovers with whom he had quite a few popular children (Pan, Hermaphroditus, Tyche, etc). IN MY OPINION Hermes in a chart represents a) where you create mischief, b) where in your life you move quickly, c) where you may be seen as good but not be the best person, d) fertility, e) where you tend to be the peacekeeper or create balance, and/or f) where you have luck and a chance to travel.

hey nox, thanks so much for the post on demeter, i really appreciate the work that goes into your answers. after seeing your post on priapus, i am wondering if you can help me understand the aspects to priapus in my natal chart? the myths are worrisome tbh but since it's conjunct my sun in the 10th, i feel like i can't avoid thinking about how it might be manifesting for me as a woman. i also know they're not directly related but if it helps provide context, hermes is conjunct my sun exact. here's my chart info if you have time, thanks ~

hello, thank you for your patience and for sending me your chart!! i appreciate the follow up ask with the updated chart, but, considering the information shared in that ask, i decided to respond to this ask only. considering that i don't know how much you would like to share publicly!!

just a note for everyone as well: if you would like to send to me privately your chart, please do so through DMs. if you would like me to NOT post my response on the blog, please tell me that in the ask! i want to do what is most comfortable for you with your question and information; while also allowing others to see aspects discussed because often, you aren't alone in your question! BUT i do not want to make anyone uncomfortable or feel like what they shared with me was publicly shared without consent. AGAIN share charts privately with me if you do not want them posted with the ask AND PLEASE if you do not want your asked shared because of the content of your question, please write in the ask that you would like your ask answered in a dm instead!!

ALSO ALSO you can turn on aspects "to all objects" in order to note which asteroids aspect one another.

on to the ask(s). i do not believe that hestia is a problem for you! in calculating the orb without the aspects between all objects on, i would say your hestia and priapus don't aspect one another. i calculated a 108° (120° is a prefect trine; the orb is at max 10° so that would be 12° and generally i don't see that as a trine) which falls outside of the realm of a trine! the lack of boundaries with a parent may not have much to do with priapus but it could be the priapus-hermes aspect because hermes was his possible father. i generally look at zeus, apollo, and asclepius for troubled parenting :). hestia also did things of her own free will so someone like ganymed - who was basically captured then made to be the cupbearer of the heavens and replaced hebe, the goddess of youth - is a better asteroid to look into.

capricorn priapus (10°, 22°): these people may not have much of a sex life due to lack of being out in the world to find partners or because they experience sexual dysfunction(s) - erectile dysfunction, low sex drive, sexual pain disorder, etc. they often experience depression surrounding sex - could be due to lack of sexual opportunity or lack of desire for sex. there could also be depression or difficulty surrounding origin - you may not feel satisfied with who your father is. you could feel like you are ruined on romance and/or sex because of something that occurred “pre-birth” or pre-adolescence (before periods or before voice change/ball dropping (is that the masculine equivalent lol i am trying)). you could help people who feel dissatisfied with their sex life.

libra priapus (7°, 19°): i am always a bit worried when i seen venus involved with priapus. these people often are a player and/or are emotionally unavailable - they see love and sex as the same thing. they tend to think all there is to a relationship is the sexual component. often they do not commit to a relationship because why have just one person for sex? love for them is sex. often this steams from some moment in their childhood perhaps they were exposed to sexuality at a young age or they had emotional unavailable parents who didn’t really interact with one another in that way. these people may be capable of helping others who are co-dependent in partnerships.

10h priapus: something about your sexual status is known publicly to everyone around you - this makes you both desired and judged. it could also be the case that there is public drama regarding who your father is - he could be someone powerful in the community, it could be that the public doubts he is your father, or it could be about his own sexual status in the community... you may find that any of this existing drama has made it so you have less opportunity in life than others around you - you could be asked for sexual favors in order to climb the ranks or something along those lines. you could however be a great cheerleader to those around you when it comes to reaching their fullest potential.

sun (10h) - priapus (10h): positive aspects: you could discover sexual strength and strength in your own sexuality at some point in life. you may be known somehow as someone who is sexually capable - someone who should be lusted after and/or someone who is sexually confident. you could feel that you overcome a lot of shortcomings and gossip regarding your sexuality. you could help others become comfortable with their sexuality. negative aspects: you could feel like your sexual status holds you back or that sex is what stops you from achieving more... you may feel like your father’s status in the community or his role/lack of role in your life has ruined you from achieving the goals in your life. you may feel you lack confidence in your sexuality. you should always keep tabs on your sexual health and regularly get tested and/or see your doctor.

venus (11h) - priapus (10h): positive aspects: you may find that you have high standards for your romantic life - you should never lower your bar. you may have a weakness for thinking people who act friendly towards you are flirting in actuality... they aren’t. you could be someone who asks “is this okay?” often or you may be someone who does acts of service to show you care. you want everyone to feel safe and cared for around you.

saturn (12h) - priapus (10h): positive aspects: there is nothing wrong with abstinence, despite what others tell you and what the media promotes. do not fall for other people’s manipulations that you should “just do it” or their gaslighting of “you don’t want to be alone forever do you?” because all of that is bullshit. you won’t be alone forever - it is okay to save yourself and/or have high standards. you are someone who needs to be shown diligence, fidelity, a foundation, monogamy, commitment - you will be by the right person. until then it is okay to be "alone," "stiff," or whatever else people may say to you to manipulate you into being sexual active.

priapus (10h) - hermes (10h): positive aspects: at times you may look at their parent(s) - your father - and say with confidence that this is whom they have come from. you could see some similarities in gestures and ambitions. negative aspects: other times you can't help but say you are nothing like your parent(s) - your father. you may even say you would never be so uninvolved or disinterested in your child as your parent(s) may be in you. you may not even know who your father really is.
