I never did a post-European Championships post for my Germans so I’m YOINKING the @team_schoell_harsch one & adding to it. I finally found out which month @sixten.totzek skip of @teamtotzek will be for the 2023 Curling Cares Calendar thanks to the latest 2 Girls and a Game podcast episode *drumroll please* Let’s now all refer to 610 as #MrMarch 👏 I guess I’ll get to look at him for an entire month leading up to my birthday next year. Proud of my German Adings this weekend. They went undefeated, scoring a ton of points, to reach the #ECJTPrague final. Sadly, they came one win short of the title, but a solid tournament showing nonetheless. I’m glad I’m following a junior curling team’s progress at the beginning of a quad & excited to see what this and the next 3 seasons has in store for them in addition to Team Totzek. This #beer #stein from Germany didn’t come in time for me to use it as one of my #TeamTotzeKapp props at the #Oktoberfest cash spiel. I’m hoping I get to use it for a cosplay photo shoo or something this coming month for Halloween. I can’t in good conscience wear the dirndl while curling even w/ the new shirt I got because I’d freeze as skip, and I’m not sure I can get away w/ wearing it to work for Halloween, but maybe there’ll be something… because the cosplayer in me is like BRUH I even got a wig 😂😭 . . Andrew was making fun of me last night because he says I always come up with the weirdest things that don’t make sense for curling because I had #BabyYoda sunglasses for the team 😂 Apparently I’m slacking because I didn’t bring any goats with me last night. This was a German themed event that I planned to use to help promote 610 & the 2023 Curling Cares Calendar so it’s definitely not 🐐 or Swedish related. Yes, I do have 2 German bears for props too 🐻 What I really need to get is a German beer stein. . . My friends and I dressed up in Baby Yoda onesies to cheer on Team Germany during draw 2 of the 2022 Worlds & I had a poster that said Sixten Yoda Man, hence the Baby Yoda sunglasses. I need to come up w/ something for the rest of my Germans similar to how Team Edin are my Icevengers, but for now it’s #SixtenYodaMan I can’t wait to find out which month Sixten will be (please let it be April 🙏🤞 ) and what the promo code is so I can order calendars. Had lots of fun at OC Curling’s Oktoberfest cash spiel. Thanks Andrew, Mark, and Stephanie for joining me in representing @teamtotzek & @teamkapp.roehrs Stephanie is a newbie and had only ever played on Curl SD’s ice. She was in awe of OC’s ice. I can’t wait to take her to SCCC and Coyotes so she can experience dedicated ice (she might be on my Vagspiel team in February). . . We got so many compliments on our “Olympic” uniforms last night. I wish I could’ve been more into the theme, but there was no way I’d survive curling in a dirndl as a skip. I might consider it for when the last end gets rescheduled (we ran out of time & got chased off the ice by hockey players), but we’ll see. . .
