alright so ive decided the first three chapters of as the years pass by are getting rewritten!!

updates with each will be slow, but ill try to somehow release them all at once to not confuse things since there are some things i need to add, plus i realized how i wasnt actually focusing on jenna and ethan properly so yeah a rewrite here we come lmao

Hellooo!

I started reading as the years pass by, and it's awesome!!! I love Jenna and Ethan so so much; they're literally so cute! And Jenna's memories... ouch. I reached chapter 3, and I'll be commenting on Ao3 soon (which I sadly couldn't do while reading because I didn't have internet at the time). Annnd I have a question! From what I understood from the fic itself, Nya and Jay didn't pass on their powers to Jenna and Ethan, right? How/why did that happen? Oh, and will they be getting them at any point in this fic?

but this may be subject to change once pt2 is out, since i actually have been thinking of making jenna get jay's powers, but i gotta see what jay's up to first and if his powers are a must in pt2

i once made an alt version of the au with my friend where jenna's powers appear in episode 10 way before i posted the fic! so theres a chance that i might make jenna get her powers at some point, but its still not fully planned and like i said above i gotta see pt2 first before i do anything

oh and about that "elemental masters can choose to pass down their elemental power" part, nya actually could pass down her powers to ethan! but he's only 6, and plus i wasnt planning for him to get his powers so early anyway

and that goes for jay too, esp with jenna already of-age. but my guy's amnesiac and he doesnt even know he has kids, so its gonna be something for me to properly plan in the future

(its got some great angst potential tho, and im a sucker for angst lmao)

not much of an angsty chapter compared to the other two, its more action packed! but trust me, chapter 4 will probably be angsty as hell (because itll take place during episode 4, which means reunion time :D)

The new bounty flew through the purple and orange sky, the beautiful view of the evening sky never failing to fascinate.

Lloyd steered, Arin and Sora standing next to him. Behind them, Jenna and Ethan were gleefully playing with Riyu, the two kids laughing and enjoying the baby dragon's presence. Lloyd looked back for a moment and smiled at them. These few days were the happiest they've been since the merge, and it warmed his heart seeing them so happy. He looked back infront of him, focusing on the directions. Then, Arin had spoke up.

i have also realized that the chapter is v short in contrast to ch3 soo there r alot of parts that might be rewritten esp since this chapter is an important one :"DD, but it makes sense bc i excluded a few scenes, up to future me tho!

It always saddened Jenna how he didn't know so much about his own parents as much as she did, only hearing a lot of stories from her and Lloyd about them and just wondering how they were like. He recognized them in the pictures, and only knew that they were his parents and that's it. She just nodded to him with a sad smile, watching how he laughed.

ipad isnt working, so i took the hard decision to finally work on ch3, planning to hopefully have both ep3 and ep4 in this chapter (i am only TWO MINUTES in ep3 AND ITS ALREADY TAKING SO LONG)

man this will be LONG, might have to save episode 4 for the next chapter maybe maybe (if i do the title of the chapter would probably be changed bc not so sure of welcome back yet)

She walked over to her desk, opening a drawer and promptly packed some little things into her saddlebag, like some bandages she kept, and has also grabbed a lightning pin her father had gifted to her and had sticked it on to the front of the saddlebag. Smiling, she closed the drawer, and as she looked around her room, she noticed the action figure of her mother on her bed, a part of it still covered by her blanket. Jenna's smile had faltered slightly, her eyes darting to the ground for a moment. She huffed, and looked at the figure once again as her smile returned.

"I'll come back soon. I promise."
