I've got another date for you astronerds out there: Circle 10/8/24 on your calendars. This one is a really good one.

Mercury in Libra will trine Jupiter in Gemini AND Venus in Scorpio will trine Mars in Cancer.

This will be an extremely good day to have a good day. Luck is in the air and all of our relationship signs are favorably aligned.

Now, I'm not much of a romantic (Aries moon in the 12th and all) but if I was going to pick a day that was astrologically aligned to have the ENERGY we want to bring in on Valentine's Day - this would be my choice out of the entire year.

Thats right I'm here to talk about buddhist symbolism. I'm in two fandoms with buddhist symbolism and it has ruined my Christian upbringing /j

Okay okay so

Two Fish (Matsyayugma) are one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols(Asthamangalas), and they have two? Three?? Maybe more??? Meanings depending on your source. (Dw about the sanskrit names you won't need to remember them)

Most will say they represent freedom in/from the samsara cycle- which roughly translates to wandering, so its like wandering the cycle of death and rebirth?- which is which is associated with rivers/seas (at least twice I'm a fake buddhist) because fish can swim and stuff so they have freedom of movement. And the sea is an infinite expanse that one must cross to reach the banks of nirvana. The fish represent those who can traverse this sea of suffering freely. They also represent happiness, because who wouldn't be happy to chose to be something other than a bacteria? Its like this: free and happy fish, swimming in pairs, mingling and brushing fins without any concern of drowning- because they're fish, why would they drown?

An alternate source assigns the two fish as a symbol of the universal monarch (Chakravartin). This might be because of their association with a Jainist figure, some guy with a lot of S's in their name- one of the 63 illustrious figures, but I can't find much about this one compared to the other two. (There's a website with this definition citing 'The Shambhala Dictionary of Buddhism and Zen' but I do not personally own this book.)

Two fish also represent fertility cause its two fishies so they have a loooot of kids or something yay yay :3

Well, it might not mean anything at all, since the matsyayugma (two fish. I lied.) are traditionally depicted as two carp, or two golden fish, (and Gojo and Geto's fishsonas are black and white Betta fish)

...but two fish are buddhist symbols in a series with a lot of buddhist symbolism and imagery, and also moving away from traditional stuff and something off topic, so it's easy to say that it might truly mean something. It could be homosexual squared laughing at us all because the fish are free to swim together while Geto and Gojo are doomed by the narrative (tm). It could be me being delusional as usual.

However, it's not because they're happy and having lots of kids together- ahahaha, why would that be true?

“So, wait, wait a minute.” Wei Ying breaks off their kiss. “So why exactly were you so insistent that Jiang Cheng needs to find a date?” Lan Zhan immediately frowns, clearly annoyed that Jiang Cheng’s name got brought up at all during this tender time together. But seeing Wei Ying’s sparkly eyes full of curiosity, Lan Zhan caves and sighs with a slump. Unlike his usual self, he visibly hesitates to answer. Wei Ying gently nudges at Lan Zhan’s leg between his own. “It isn’t as if we need to hide anything from each other any longer, do we? We’re not like that anymore.” Lan Zhan softens. He nods. “Mm.” Lan Zhan purses his lips and Wei Ying watches as he silently works up the words. If it was anyone else, Wei Ying imagines that they’d be wringing their hands in thought. Finally Lan Zhan responds with utmost seriousness, “Everyone else must find someone first.” Hm? “…That’s what you said.” Wei Ying blinks. He hums while conjuring up the memory, fuzzy in edges but definitely there. So Lan Zhan… was suffering through all that trouble with Jiang Cheng… just so he wouldn’t have any obstacles on his way to court Wei Ying, all because of one throwaway comment that Wei Ying made over a decade ago? Lan Zhan watches him patiently as Wei Ying seemingly contemplates this, and only when he realizes that Wei Ying is doing his hardest to hold in his laughter does he reprimand, “…Wei Ying.” Wei Ying rolls to his side in a burst of laughter, his stomach cramping from how hard he’s laughing. “…Stop laughing.” “Hahahahah, I’m truly not laughing at you, hahaha, you’re such a fair and virtuous man, it’s just, Lan Zhan, just how much have you wanted to marry me, hahahahahahahahaha—” Having had enough, Lan Zhan easily hauls Wei Ying back up into his lap to stare up hard at Wei Ying’s snickering face, the tips of his own ears tinted with pink. “Stop,” Lan Zhan says firmly.

I know I’m a bit late for Days of Fortune, I was just really tired on release day. But things are looking good, though I haven’t gotten to experience everything today. I’ll try later, but for now here you go.

The decorations in Aviary village are enchanting, so glad I got to see them at night. The Auspicious Visitor (a.k.a. Gratitude Guide) is also selling a bunch of mask. I have enough to buy two & I really want the tiger & rabbit ones. Though that might change to one.

Valley of Triumph being the event’s hub area definitely fits. The performance spirits & guide siblings are some of my favorite spirits & I know many of y’all’s too. They even hug & high-5 me, I love them so much 🥰. Theatre Forever 🎭!

The dragon spell chain is such a cool concept. I haven’t joined one yet though, nor have I seen the dragon race yet. I’ll capture it when I can. What an event. Happy Year Of The Dragon! Happy 2024! 🐉
