What you should watch while staying at home part 2! AKA the Disney+ list based off the U.S selection.
Disney+
Lab Rats (TV show)
Rating: TV-Y7
Summary: A scrawny 14-year-old, having discovered his inventor stepdad has three bionic, super-powered teens living cloistered in a secret lab beneath their home, brings them out into the world.
Seasons: all four seasons and the spin-off are on Disney+, except for part 2 of Lab Rats vs. Mighty Med because that is a Mighty Med episode and Mighty Med is not on Disney+ at the time of this post.
Why you should watch it: Lab Rats was the reason I started writing fanfiction (if you're brave and like first person fics, my profile on fanfiction.net under the name Brentinator is full of cringe worthy fics) and it's probably the reason that I like action/adventure so much. It's super funny, it's very dramatic and it has good messages about family and teamwork.
Kickin' It (TV show)
Rating: TV-Y7
Summary: A once-in-a-generation young karate fighter named Jack joins the Wasabi warriors.
Seasons: 1-4 on Disney+
Why you should watch it: it's a comedy about teenagers in a karate dojo. Yeah, it's Disney so it is cringy, but it makes for some good laughs. Leo Howard is a little cutie, there's an episode with Billy Unger (Lab Rats) and Kelli Berglund (Lab Rats). There's some whump in a bit of it, and Jason Earles (Miley's brother in Hannah Montana) is the sensei. It's great.
Austin and Ally (TV show)
Rating: TV-Y7
Summary: Following the lives of Austin, an aspiring confident musician, Ally, a quiet talented songwriter and their two friends.
Seasons: 1-4 on Disney+, part two of the New Year's special is season 2, episode six of Jessie.
Why should you watch it: this was the first Disney Channel show I watched. Ross Lynch was my first celebrity crush, the first soundtrack was my first CD, and Trish gave me some representation as a plus sized woman/teen. It's pretty cringe, but the songs are all amazing and some of jokes are knee slappers.
Good Luck Charlie (TV show)
Rating: TV-Y7
Summary: The Duncan family are adjusting to the surprise birth of their fourth child, Charlie. When parents Amy and Bob return to work they put their latest addition in the care of her three older siblings.
Seasons: all seasons and the movie in between seasons 2 and 3 on Disney+, the second part of the Christmas episode in season 4 is in season 3 of Jessie.
Why should watch it: it's just a good comedy about a family with a lot of kids.
Brave (movie)
Rating: PG
Summary: Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida (Kelly Macdonald) defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.
Why should you watch it: this movie holds a very special place in my heart. I watched this movie with my grandpa the Christmas before he died, and it's a memory I hold very close. It's also the best Disney princess with red hair, fight me. And my Merdia Halloween costume where I carried around my dad's bow and arrows can't be beat.
Chicken Little (movie)
Rating: G
Summary: After ruining his reputation with the town, a courageous chicken must come to the rescue of his fellow citizens when aliens start an invasion.
Why should you watch it: a lot of people say this is Disney's worst animated movie. But this is a very nostalgic movie for me, and some of the jokes can't be beat. Also, aliens.
Bad Hair Day (movie)
Rating: TV-G
Summary: A buddy comedy about a high school tech-whiz whose prom day abruptly shifts into a wild ride across town, thanks to a down-on-her-luck cop and a jewel thief.
Why should you watch it: it's Ally from Austin and Ally and the mom from Good Luck Charlie trying to protect a missing necklace, and the two of them grow a motner-daughter type relationship during it.
Descendants 2 (movie)
Rating: TV-G
Summary: Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay try to adjust to life in Auradon, but Mal becomes overwhelmed with pressure and returns to her roots.
Why should you watch it: I love the Descendants franchise, but the second movie has the best songs, the best acting and the best villains. I'm obsessed with China Anne McClain and she's a great villain. But watch the first movie. After all, it has Dove Cameron, Booboo Stewart, Sofia Carson and the late Cameron Boyce with some of their best acting being displayed.
High School Musical 2 (movie)
Rating: TV-G
Summary: School's out for summer and the East High Wildcats are ready to make it the time of their lives after landing jobs in a wealthy country club owned by Sharpay and Ryan's family.
Why you should watch it: I'm not a huge HSM fan, but I love Sharpay and Ryan, and I love the movie that's on their turf. It also has my favorite HSM song in it, which is Bet On It. Probably watch the first movie first though.
Geek Charming (movie)
Rating: TV-G
Summary: To win a school popularity contest, a high school diva permits a film club classmate to record her popular life, but the film starts documenting her decline instead.
Why you should watch it: this is possibly my favorite DCOM, and Sarah Hyland is so good at her job, it's insane. It's overshadowed by what happened between the leads afterwards, however.
How to Build a Better Boy (movie)
Rating: TV-G
Summary: Teenage tech whizzes unwittingly use military software to program a robotic boyfriend.
Why you should watch it: probably why I like it so much is because it has China Anne McClain and Kelli Berglund, and it's a cool concept. Also has Noah Centerpiece if you like him as well.
Teen Beach Movie (movie)
Rating: not rated
Summary: Two surfing lovers, whose doomed relationship is nearing to a close, find themselves swept into a a dimension traversing wave that sends them into a beach movie musical in the 60's.
Why you should watch it: it's not a great plot, but the acting is pretty good and the songs are so amazing. Also, Ross Lynch. Not a huge fan of the sequel, but you should still check it out if you like the first one.
The Emperor's New Groove (movie)
Rating: G
Summary: Emperor Kuzco is turned into a llama by his ex-administrator Yzma, and must now regain his throne with the help of Pacha, the gentle llama herder.
Why should you watch it: this is the movie I grew up on. I knew all the quotes, I knew all the jokes, and one time I barged into my sister's youth group shouting "boom bam, baby!" It's so good and so funny.
Finding Nemo (movie)
Rating: G
Summary: After his son is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney, a timid clownfish sets out on a journey to bring him home.
Why should you watch it: my other childhood movie. Also knew the quotes, and the jokes, and I spoke whale in church when I was very young. There may also be a Finding Nemo Irondad AU from me in the future.
Holes (movie)
Rating: PG
Summary: A wrongfully convicted boy is sent to a brutal desert detention camp where he joins the job of digging holes for some mysterious reason.
Why should you watch it: to this day this is the most accurate book to movie adaptation I've ever seen. Also, Madame Zeroni.
Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers (movie)
Rating: G
Summary: Mickey, Donald and Goofy are the French three Musketeers.
Why you should watch it: well, it's what the summary says. The Mickey Mouse gang as the musketeers. And it has la pit in it. "No, not la pit!"
Pocahontas (movie)
Rating: G
Summary: An English soldier and the daughter of an Algonquin chief share a romance when English colonists invade seventeenth century Virginia.
Why should you watch it: is it historically accurate, no. But does it have one of the sweetest romances in the history of Disney, I would like to think so. And Pocahontas is just one of my favorite Disney princesses, even if she's not technically a princess.
Tangled
Rating: PG
Summary: The magically long-haired Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she really is.
Why should you watch it: a carefree princess, a attractive and hilarious thief and the cutest little chameleon ever! The animation is gorgeous, the songs are amazing and Mother Gothel is such a good villain.
Pooh's Heffalump Movie (movie)
Rating: G
Summary: A Heffalump is heard trumpeting in the hundred acre woods. Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet are scared and rush to Rabbit's house for advice. Roo joins them and they all agree that Heffalumps are nearby after finding a huge footprint. They decide to set out on an expedition to catch the Heffalump. Roo is not allowed to come along because he is too little.
Why should you watch it: I watched a lot of Winnie the Pooh movies when I was little, because Winnie the Pooh is my mom's favorite Disney franchise, but this one is my favorite. It's so soft, and it has a good lesson that even if you're different, that doesn't mean you're evil or scary.
Read it and Weep (movie)
Rating: TV-G
Summary: A shy and retiring high school student develops a peculiar alter ego that changes her life forever.
Why should you watch it: it's about a writer in high school! This is one of my favorite Disney movies ever, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Sky High (movie)
Rating: PG
Summary: Set in an era where superheroes are commonly known and accepted, young William Stronghold, the son of the Commander and Jetstream, tries to find a balance between being a normal teenager and an extraordinary being.
Why should you watch it: clearly, I like movies and shows about superheroes (I mean, I write for Marvel). This movie is about William, who hasn't gotten his powers yet, and has been lying to his parents that he has before he goes to superhero high school. The ending is weird, but I love this movie.
Tagging some people so it gets spread around: @marvelous-writer @clover-roseee @canary-warrior @blondsak @breanadaveport-mendel @seek-rest @willelbyers

Stem Cell Therapy
Tumblr media
Stem cells are the foundation for every organ and tissue in your body. They are the body's raw materials — cells from which all other cells with specialized functions are generated. There are many different types of stem cells that come from different places in the body or are formed at different times in our lives. These include embryonic stem cells that exist only at the earliest stages of development and various types of tissue-specific (or adult) stem cells that appear during fetal development and remain in our bodies throughout life.
Cell therapy involves grafting cells to restore the function of a tissue or organ. The aim is to provide long-term care to the patient through a single injection of therapeutic cells. These cells are obtained from pluripotent  (can give all types of cells) or multipotent (can give a limited number of cell types) from the patient himself or from a donor. Under the right conditions in the body or a laboratory, stem cells divide to form more cells called daughter cells. Researchers now know how to differentiate pluripotent cells into several cell types.
People who might benefit from stem cell therapies include those with spinal cord injuries, type 1 diabetes, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, heart disease, stroke, burns, cancer and osteoarthritis.
The most used Multipotent stem cells, present throughout the body within the adipose, bone marrow, organ support tissues, but also from bones, cartilage, muscles ... These stem cells are particularly easy to take from adipose tissue or bone marrow. They can give rise to cartilaginous cells (chondrocytes), Osseous (ostheoblasts), fatty (adipocytes), muscle fibers (myocytes), cardiomyocytes ... They also secrete growth factors favorable to the surrounding cells and are sometimes used exclusively for this property. They also produce anti-inflammatory factors, which lead to local immunosuppression and promote the function of cells regulating immunity. These properties limit local inflammation and protect, a priori, against transplant rejection.
Other multipotent cells can be used in cell therapy, such as skin stem cells. The stem cells of the eye make it possible to repair lesions of the cornea. Hematopoietic stem cells from the bone marrow are the source of all blood cells: in the case of hematological cancer, they make it possible to rebuild a stock of healthy blood cells after chemotherapy. Umbilical cord blood contains immune-naive hematopoietic stem cells, and therefore very well tolerated in the event of a transplant. Cord blood is used to treat malignant hemopathies such as leukemia or lymphoma, or genetic diseases like Fanconi anemia. It offers a serious alternative to bone marrow transplantation in the absence of a compatible donor. However, the number of therapeutic cells recovered by cord is low. When therapeutic stem cells are taken from someone other than the patient, they are said to be allogeneic. Their use can pose problems of immune tolerance.
Stem cell therapy, also known as regenerative medicine, promotes the repair response of diseased, dysfunctional or injured tissue using stem cells or their derivatives. It is the next chapter in organ transplantation and uses cells instead of donor organs, which are limited in supply.
The indications for cell therapy are endless and the promise is real in many areas. Clinical fields such as that of neurodegenerative diseases  (Parkinson's or Alzheimer's diseases) or muscular degenerations (Duchenne muscular dystrophy) could be concerned if the researchers manage to produce different subtypes of neurons in large quantities and skeletal muscle cells. And how not to also imagine the possibility of producing blood cells, including platelet, in unlimited quantity, to cover the blood needs of hospitals? All assumptions are now allowed.
Stem cell researchers are making great advances in understanding normal development, figuring out what goes wrong in disease and developing and testing potential treatments to help patients. They still have much to learn, however, about how stem cells work in the body and their capacity for healing. Safe and effective treatments for most diseases, conditions and injuries are in the future.
There is certain information you should look into if you are considering a stem cell treatment, including a detailed description of the treatment and the science that supports it, the expected outcome and the risks. It is important to discuss any research or information you gather with your primary care physician and other trusted members of your healthcare team in deciding what is right for you.

Translation: “The Minish Cap” in German, Part 10: The Path to Mount Crenel
In preparation for meeting Master Melari, we do a bunch of miscellaneous things. The Blade Brothers also never shut up. Here is my translation of the German version of "The Minish Cap" to English!
My translation key: DT: „direct translation" (translated word for word) EQ: "English equivalent" (as in, as close to an English-sounding sentence as it's gonna get) DT/EQ: „"direct translation/English equivalent" (for when the DT is so similar to an EQ that it's practically English already) OE: "official English (translation as given in the European English version of "The Minish Cap")" (NOTE:) "anything I need to point out" (exactly what it says on the tin) BG: „backwards German" for the Minish language in reverse form
My translation work under the cut.
Magnus: „Ich bin Magnus, der Meister der Schwertkunst von Hyrule!" DT/EQ: „"I am Magnus, the Master (of) the Sword-arts of Hyrule!" OE: "I am Swiftblade, finest swordsman in all of Hyrule!" (NOTE: The Blade Brothers have a really interesting history of their naming convention. As far as I can tell, the last three- not counting Swiftblade the First- had no determinable naming pattern in Japanese (the first four all had "iron" in their names). So, to compensate, each translation had their own 'theme naming' for the Brothers. English went the "Blade" route, with naming them all "Something" followed by "Blade". French kept all of the Japanese names, and so did Spanish until they called Splitblade and Waveblade by the same name (Hasshin). Italian follows with Japan's no obvious pattern with its versions of Scarblade, Splitblade, and Greatblade; and then German went with a Latin-themed naming until the last three. „Magnus der Erste", „Magnus", „Maximus", „Maximilian", and „Maxissimus" all have a pun on being better than the last. But then, what did the German version decide to do with the last three? ...Let me introduce you to: Austin, Dustin, and Justin. I'm not kidding.)
Magnus: „Wenn du bei mir trainierst, wirst du schnell Fortschritte machen!" DT: „When you with me train, will you quickly progress make!" EQ: "When you train with me, you will quickly make progress!" OE: "If you train with me, I guarantee that you will increase your skill dramatically!" (NOTE: Could have also come out as "When you train with me, you will make quick progress." Magnus is Swiftblade if that wasn't obvious.)
Magnus: „Bist du willens, bei mir zu trainieren?" DT: „Are you willing, with me to train?" EQ: "Are you willing to train with me?" OE: "So? Would you like to train here?"
POSSIBLE REPLIES: „Ja bitte." oder „Nein danke." DT/EQ: „"Yes, please." or „"No, thank you." OE: "Please" or "No, thanks"
Magnus: „Zunächst zeige ich dir die wichtigste Grundtechnik: die Wirbelattacke!" DT: „Initially show/demonstrate I (to) you the primary basic technique: the Swirl-attack!" EQ: "I will initially demonstrate to you the primary basic technique: the Swirl-attack!" OE: "We shall start with the most basic of all techniques! I shall teach you...the Spin Attack!" (NOTE: „Wirbel" could also mean "twirl", but "swirl" is more reminiscent of the OE name.)
Magnus: „1. Halte den mit dem Schwert belegten Knopf gedrückt!" DT: „1. Keep the with the Sword reserved button pressed!" EQ: "1. Keep the reserved button with the Sword pressed!" OE: "First!! Press and hold your sword button..." (NOTE: This sentence almost killed me. And by "reserved button", it means the button you chose to set your sword to.)
Magnus: „2. Warte, bis das Schwert aufgeladen ist!" DT: „2. Wait, until the Sword charged is!" EQ: "2. Wait until the Sword is charged!" OE: "Second!! Build up enough power..."
Magnus: „3. Lass den Knopf los! Dann ist es vollbracht!" DT: „3. Let the button go/loose! Then is it accomplished!" EQ: "3. Let the button go/loose! Then it is accomplished!" OE: "Third!! Releeeease your destructive might!! That's all, young swordsman!!"
Magnus: „Hast du das verstanden?" DT: „Have you that understood?" EQ: "Did you understand that?" OE: "Do you understand?"
POSSIBLE REPLIES: „Ja." oder „Nein." DT/EQ: „"Yes." or „No." OE: "Yes" or "No"
Magnus: „Ausgezeichnet! Du lernst schnell!" DT/EQ: „Excellent! You learn fast/quickly!" OE: "Haha! Very good! You are a very quick student."
Magnus: „Doch Schwerttechniken muss man mit dem eigenen Körper erlernen." DT: „But Swordtechniques must one with the own body learn." EQ: "But one must learn Sword-techniques with their own body." OE: "But one must FEEL the technique, not just hear about it!"
Magnus: „Ich mache deinen Körper zur Marionette und lasse dich die Technik ausführen!" DT: „I make your body to the puppet and let you the technique perform!" EQ: "I will make your body a puppet and let you perform the technique!" OE: "That's why I will now possess your body so as to demonstrate the technique!"
Magnus: „Nun also, die Marionettentechnik von Meister Magnus! Sehe und staune!" DT: „Now so, the Puppets-technique of Master Magnus! See and marvel!" EQ: "So now, the Puppet-technique of Master Magnus! See and marvel!" OE: "I call this the Swiftblade Switcheroo technique of training!"
Magnus: „Eins, zwei, drei..." DT/EQ: „"One, two, three..." OE: "Watch this!! Urrngh!!"
Magnus: „Marionette nun sei!" DT: „Puppet now be!" EQ: "Now be a puppet!" OE: "Switch...Ah...Roo!" (NOTE: Props to the German version for getting this to rhyme. An English equivalent rhyme could be, "One, two, three, a puppet you shall be!")
Magnus: „So! Nun versuche es selbst!" DT/EQ: „"So! Now attempt it yourself!" OE: "Phew... Now! You must try it yourself!" (NOTE: One of the times that „selbst" can mean "yourself" instead of just "self".)
Magnus: „Knopf gedrückt halten, bis das Schwert aufgeladen ist, und dann loslassen!" DT: „Button pressed keep, until the Sword charged is, and then let go!" EQ: "Keep the button pressed until the Sword is charged, and then let go!" OE: "Press and hold your sword button. Build up enough power. Then, release your destructive might!! That's all there is to it!"
Magnus: „Hervorragend! Du hast Talent!" DT/EQ: „Outstanding! You have talent!" OE: "Yes!! Fine work! You're a quick study."
Magnus: „Ich überreiche dir feierlich diese Schriftrolle der Schwertkunst." DT: „I hand over to you ceremoniously this Scroll of the Sword-arts." EQ: "I ceremoniously hand this Scroll of the Sword-arts over to you." OE: "I will now give you this Tiger Scroll!" (NOTE: Again, how did English come up with these names? „Schriftrolle der Schwertkunst" and "Tiger Scroll" are one-in-the-same.)
Magnus: „Falls du eine Schwerttechnik vergessen solltest, kannst du dort nachsehen!" DT: „In case you a Sword-technique forget should, can you there check back!" EQ: "In case you should forget a Sword-technique, you can check back there!" OE: "If you ever forget this technique, you can review it with this scroll!"
Magnus: „Du kannst sie dir jederzeit im Status-Menü ansehen!" DT: „You can it (to) you at any time in the Status-Menu look at!" EQ: "You can look at it at any time in the Status-Menu." OE: "You may view it anytime from the Quest Status screen!"
ITEM GET: „Du hast die Wirbelattacke erlernt! Eine Technik von Meister Magnus!" DT: „You have the Swirl-attack learned! A technique of Master Magnus!" EQ: "You have learned the Swirl-attack! A technique of Master Magnus!" OE: "You learned the secret Spin Attack fighting technique! This is the first sword technique you've learned from Master Swiftblade!"
Aiya: „Eine Geldbörse. Macht 80 Rubine. Da passen viele Rubine rein! Praktisch!" DT: „A Money-purse. Totals/costs 80 Rubine. There fit many Rubine in! Practical!" EQ: "A Money-purse. Totals/costs 80 Rubine. Many Rubine fit in there! Practical!" OE: "Only 80 Rupees for a wallet. It can hold a king's ransom in Rupees!" (NOTE: Stockwell became Aiya. How? Don't know. And in the context of money, „macht" means "totals" or "costs", rather than its usual "make" or "do" meaning.)
Aiya: „Kaufst du das?" DT: „Purchase you this?" EQ: "Will you purchase this?" OE: "Will you buy it?"
POSSIBLE REPLIES: „Ja." oder „Nein." DT/EQ: „"Yes." or „"No." OE: "Buy" or "Don't buy"
ITEM GET: „Große Geldbörse erhalten! Jetzt kannst du mehr Rubine tragen!" DT: „Big Money-purse received! Now can you more Rubine carry!" EQ: "Received the Big Money-purse! Now you can carry more Rubine!" OE: "You got a big wallet! Now, you can carry more Rupees!" (NOTE: And "big wallet" is "Big Money-purse" or even just a "purse", as far as I can tell.)
Aiya: „Herzlichen Dank! Bis zum nächsten Einkauf! Ich erwarte dich." DT: „Hearty/cordial/many thanks! Until (x) next purchase! I await you." EQ: "Hearty/cordial/many thanks! Until your next purchase! I await you." OE: "Much obliged, my good lad! Please, do not hesitate to stop by again!"
Hofstaat: „Ooh! Du hast die Wirbelattacke erlernt!" DT: „Ooh! You have the Swirl-attack learned!" EQ: "Ooh! You have learned the Swirl-attack!" OE: "Ho ho! So, you've learned the Spin Attack?" (NOTE: „Hofstaat" can mean either "Court state" or just "State". But it's the German name for the Vassals.)
Hofstaat: „Lass mich überprüfen, ob man dich wirklich nach draußen lassen kann." DT: „Let me verify, if one you really to outside leave can." EQ: "Let me verify if one can really leave you outside." OE: "It's still dangerous, but...maybe you can handle it." (NOTE: One of the contexts where „lassen" can mean "leave" rather than "let". In fact, this sentence uses both meanings.)
Hofstaat: „Zeigst du mir eine Wirbelattacke?" DT: „Show/demonstrate you (to) me a Swirl-attack?" EQ: "Will you show/demonstrate to me a Swirl-attack?" OE: "Well, let's see how you do. Show me that Spin Attack!"
Hofstaat: „Ja! Du hast mich überzeugt!!!" DT/EQ: „"Yes! You have me convinced!!!" OE: "Yeah! That's the one!"
Hofstaat: „Es sind viele Ungeheuer unterwegs, also sei vorsichtig!" DT/EQ: „"There are many monsters along/on the way, so be careful!" OE: "But there are monsters out there, kid! You just make sure you're careful." (NOTE: „Es sind" is another version of „es gibt".)
Fremder: „Ich komme aus einem fernen Land. Das sieht man auch an meiner Kleidung." DT: „I come from a distant land/country. This sees one also by my clothes." EQ: "I come from a distant land/country. One can see this also by my clothes." OE: "I come from a faraway land. You can tell by my clothing, can't you?"
Deku-Händler: „Tur mir Leid wegen der Nuss." DT: „Sorry because of the nut." EQ: "Sorry about the nut." OE: "OK, ya got me! Let me make it up to ya!"
Deku-Händler: „Ich verkaufe dir auch eine Flasche für 20 Rubine!" DT: „I sell to you also a Bottle for 20 Rubine!" EQ: "I will also sell to you a Bottle for 20 Rubine!" OE: "You can have this most deluxe of all bottles for only 20 Rupees!"
(The German Business Scrub then proceeds to hi-jack the plot like OE Ezlo did, with the following two text boxes not present in the English version.) [Deku-Händler: „Darin kannst du alles Mögliche transportieren." DT: „In it can you everything/anything transport." EQ: "In it, you can transport any number of things."] (NOTE: „alles Mögliche" is idiomatic.)
[Deku-Händler: „Ich bin sicher, ohne sie wirst du den Gongol-Berg nicht besteigen können!" DT: „I am certain, without it will you (the) Gongol-Mountain not climb can!" EQ: "I am certain that without it, you will not be able to climb Gongol-Mountain!"] (NOTE: I think this is where OE Ezlo got his extra two text boxes from earlier.)
ITEM GET: „Kaufen?" DT/EQ: "Purchase?" OE: "So, what do you say, huh?"
POSSIBLE REPLIES: „Ja." oder „Nein." DT/EQ: „"Yes." or „"No." OE: "Sure" or "No, thanks"
ITEM GET: „Leere Flasche erhalten! Fülle sie mit verschiedenen Dingen!" DT: „Empty Bottle received! Fill it with various things!" EQ: "Received an Empty Bottle! Fill it with various things!" OE: "You got an empty bottle! Use it to store all sorts of things!"
Deku-Händler: „Danke für den Einkauf!" DT/EQ: „"Thanks for the purchase!" OE: "Thanks a lot!"
Deku-Händler: „Tut mir Leid wegen der Nuss! Ich verrate dir auch was!" DT: „Sorry because of the nut! I reveal to you also something!" EQ: "Sorry about the nut! I will reveal something to you, too!" OE: "OK, ya got me! I'll make it up to you by telling you something good!"
Deku-Händler: „Mein Freund verkauft in seiner Höhle im Süden der Beele-Hochebene..." DT: „My friend sells in his cave to the South of the Beele-Plateau..." EQ: "My friend in his cave to the South of the Beele-Plateau..." OE: "A friend of mine in a cave in the south of Trilby Highlands..." (NOTE: One of the many instances where the usually past-tense „verkauft" can mean the present-tense "sells". Also, Beele-Plateau is Tribly Highlands.)

BEST BULL BAR INSTALLATION SERVICE IN AUSTIN TX AUSTIN BULL BAR INSTALLATION
Bull Bar Installation in Austin TX Bull Bar Installation Service near Austin TX:  Bull Bars are essential for the safety of you and your 4wd in highway, rural and remote-area travel, even more so when you take your 4wd off-road. Bull Bars offer by far the best form of vehicle protection against animal strikes and other collision types. Here we explore the basics you need to know when it comes to Bull Bars.
What is a Bull Bar?
A Bull Bar is a simple but extremely effective addition to the front of a 4WD vehicle. Available in a variety of shapes, sizes, and materials including steel, alloy, and even plastic, a Bull Bar will also provide protection when driving off-road, against logs, banks, scrub, and similar obstacles.
Why Do You Need a Bull Bar?
There’s no doubt a 4WD with a Bull Bar looks great, but the primary reasons for installing a Bull Bar are functional. You need a Bull Bar on your 4WD for: ● Human Safety – with a Bull Bar, the high energy of an impact with an animal is prevented from dissipating throughout the entire vehicle. This reduces damage to your 4WD, even more importantly, it protects the people travelling inside of the vehicle. A quality bull bar is a potentially lifesaving addition to your 4WD, Ute or SUV. ● General Protection – a Bull Bar offers general protection to your vehicle both off-road and also on tarred or paved roads. This includes protection from rocks, sticks, ruts, logs, and also in minor accidents where a front-on collision with another vehicle or object takes place. ● Animal Collision – if you hit an animal such as a kangaroo, especially at speed and without a Bull Bar, your vehicle will in all likelihood be damaged severely and even potentially be written off. A Bull Bar greatly mitigates this risk and protects your investment. ● Mounting Point: a Bull Bar provides a perfect mounting point for winches and other accessories such as UHF antennas, driving lights, and sand-flags.

Six Reasons Why You Need A Bullbar Bull Bar Installation Service near Austin TX: 1. Animal collisions If you hit an animal like a kangaroo then the impact can easily disable your car, leaving you stranded, or at least cause some major damage. A bullbar protects the front of the car so if you do collide with an animal then you’ve got a fair chance of driving on. I’ve hit roos at 100km/h but only on cars with bars and aside from the odd broken driving light the car was fine. Ideally, you don’t want to hit anything, but if you do then it’s a bullbar you need. Remember, minimise the chances of animal strikes by trying to travel at times other than dawn and dusk.
2. General protection Driving off-road is a bit of a misnomer, as no driving is actually done off a road. Instead, what we refer to as ‘offroad’ is really very rough roads. These have all sorts of hazards such as rocks, ruts and sticks, and the latter in particular are a real problem. They can get caught up and jammed into odd places – like the time I had a new ute on test and ended up with a stick about 40mm diameter through the front underbody next to the fog light. And that was on a dirt road at night, not even a 4×4 track. Or the time when I was a passenger in a Pajero, and noticed a large log jutting out from the side of the road, pointing straight at us. Unfortunately, the driver didn’t notice the problem and impaled the car on the log, with the end of the log about three-quarters of the way into the engine bay. That was the end of our journey and nearly the end of the car. As part of the repair the driver bought a bullbar, and while we will never know for sure if the bar would have saved us, the fact is that steel or alloy is a lot harder to pierce than plastic.
3. Winch mounting point There are ways to mount winches without bull bars, but a bar is the easiest. A tip; even if you don’t plan on buying a winch, spend the extra for a winch-capable bar anyway just in case, and it’ll also help a bit with resale.
4. Accessory mount point If you do any serious dune sand driving in the deserts or otherwise you’ll need a sand flag, and the very best place is as far forwards as you can manage, which means a bullbar. Without a bar it’s hard to create a strong enough mount. And then there’s driving light installation too, which also needs a much stiffer base than many nudge bars can provide. The bullbar is also a good place to mount UHF antennas too.
5. Approach angle improvement Always good to improve your approach angle so you don’t touch the terrain as much in hard going, and if you do, then you won’t damage a bar as much as the original plastic. Bars scuff, plastic breaks.
6. Potential for recovery points The days of vehicles with simple chassis rails extending out front are long gone, yet recovery loads are increasing. Some bullbars have recovery points built in, others as an option, and others help expose the chassis so points can be added. Without a bar it may be difficult to fit recovery points.
4 reasons why bull-bars should be avoided in vehicles The reasons for the ban are: ● Bull-bars make crumple zones ineffective by transmitting crash energy directly to the body structure, thus causing injuries and death to the occupants. ● Bull-bars may interfere with airbags from opening during accidents by upsetting the sensors during a crash. ● Bull-bars are dangerous for pedestrians, cyclists and two wheeler riders. Especially when cars are being designed to reduce the impact of a crash on pedestrians, bull-bars cause serious injuries and death to other road users as they often jut out of a car during a crash. ● Bull-bars damage the chassis of a car during a big accident, as because of its rigidity, the impact is disproportionately distributed, resulting in the crash energy being forced onto the body structure.
Bull Bar Installation
Bull Bar Installation Service near Austin TX:A Bull Bar Installation doesn’t take long and these useful truck accessories go by many names. In American common names include bull bars, brush guards, deer pushers and cow bumpers. Conversely, in Canada they are called moose bumpers, and in Australia, they are appropriately called Kangaroo bars. If you’re hesitant about upgrading to an off-road bumper or bull bar then a grille guard might be right for you. So what exactly is a grill guard? A grill guard is a protective steel framework that extends out in front of your vehicle. Grille guards are available in either a one-piece all welded design or a three-piece bolt together design. ● As you can imagine the one-piece welded designs are much stronger structurally than the three-piece bolt together designs. The three-piece designs are less expensive. But for the best protections we recommend the one-piece welded design for rural drivers and off-roading. ● On the other hand the three-piece designs for aesthetics or city drivers only.
How To Decide Which One?
Some of our customers question if adding a grille guard to their truck makes it more dangerous for pedestrians or even passengers in other vehicles if involved in an accident. Unfortunately, studies have shown that using a bull bar increases the risk of death or serious injury to pedestrians because bull bars are rigid and when in an accident the bull bar will transmit all the force to the pedestrian, unlike a stock bumper, which will absorb some force and crumple. We recommend using less rigid bull bars if you live in the city and more rugged grill guards if you live in the country where pedestrian’s collisions are less of a concern. Bull bars usually come in three models, black powder coated, chrome plated steel, or stainless steel. Stainless steel is probably the most resilient material used for grille guard, especially stainless steel that has been highly polished to a chrome finish. The powder coated and chrome plated steel versions are more susceptible to flaking and chipping, therefore, allowing rust and corrosion. While the name grille guard suggests that these accessories will protect your vehicle’s grille from damage and they will, there are some other benefits too.   Unfortunately, with so many assorted brands and models of grille guards on the market from the extravagant pure accessory type bars, to the mostly practical it may be hard to narrow down your options.
Selecting A Grille Guard Or Bull Bar ● Look for a bull bar that has pre-drilled holes that allow for easy installation of auxiliary led lighting like fog lights or a bull bar with a light bar already included. ● Look for a grill guard with removable cage tubing that covers the center section of the headlights. This will allow for servicing your truck easier. ● Look for a bar that has quick release latches. Having this feature will allow you to tilt the grille guard forward to open the engine hood for service. ● Look for a bull bar with a built-in skid plate if you like off-roading. This added benefit will help reduce damage to your front end while you’re out wheeling. Grille guards are some of the most practical and trendiest truck accessory upgrades you can choose. Your truck will take a beating when off-roading. Adding a grill guard will give your rig an extra layer of protection when it’s needed most.
TIPS
Installing Bull Bars Bull Bar Installation Service near Austin TX: Depending on your vehicle, and the type of body armor and protection you need, bull bar installation can range from a super-easy, Saturday afternoon love fest to a driveway-hosted blood match between you, the bull bar and every tool in your garage. A lot depends on the vehicle and your level of expertise, but it’s mostly dependent on the bull bar itself. Now that you’ve got your hands on the bull bar of your choice, here are some general installation steps. We’d tell you exactly how to do it, but we don’t know what you drive or which bar you’re getting. ● Open the packaging of your bull bar and read the installation instructions. ● Check to make sure you have all the necessary tools and that no parts are missing. ● Crawl under the front of your rig and locate the factory-drilled holes. ● Bolt the bull bar brackets into the holes and torque them down. ● Connect the bull bar to the mounting brackets, ensuring that everything is even and level. ● Double-check that all the bolts are tight.
COST How much does it cost to install a bull bar?
Bull Bar Installation Service near Austin TX: It usually costs anywhere from $1000-2500 installed. You can also find cheap bull bars on gumtree (usually OEM bars). Installation costs about $300-400. Consequently, why install a bull bar? A bullbar or push bumper is a device installed on the front of a vehicle to protect its front from collisions, whether an accidental collision with a large animal in rural roads, or an intentional collision with another vehicle in police usage. Similarly, how much does a bull bar weigh? The average weight of an East Coast Bullbar is approximately 35kg (a steel bar is approximately 80kg). Simply so, do bull bars help in an accident? Like grille guards, bull bars bolt to the front of a vehicle and serve to block crash energy from reaching softer front body panels - channeling it directly to the vehicle's structure instead. How do you remove Mobile Auto Truck Repair Austin Bullbar? Removing the Mobile Auto Truck Repair Austin Bullbar Not sure how much bigger a 9, 9.5 or 10 is?? Disconnect all electrical cables from the battery and the winch make sure you know where they go, remove the solenoid pack from the winch, take all the cable off the winch drum, remove the grille, unbolt the winch from the bar.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is a bull bar worth it?
Without a bar it's hard to create a strong enough mount. And then there's driving light installation too, which also needs a much stiffer base than many nudge bars can provide. The bullbar is also a good place to mount UHF antennas too.
Will a bull bar stop a deer?
The Mobile Auto Truck Repair Austin bull bar is sure to serve as a durable shield between you and an animal that jumps out of nowhere. One testimony shows virtually no damage to their bumper after colliding at 60 mph with a deer. No damage to the bumper also means no damage to the rest of the truck.
Do bull bars make cars safer?
Often bought in the name of safety, it is a fact that crash bars or bull bars can actually create greater danger not only for pedestrians, bicyclists and other vulnerable road users who get hit, but also for people traveling in the vehicles to which the bars are fitted.
Are bull bars dangerous?
Bull bars are more dangerous than conventional bumpers and radiator grilles as these are built to crumple on impact while bull bars do not, transmitting the full force to the pedestrian.
Is it legal to have a push bar on your car?
Registered. They are perfectly legal AS LONG AS you don't have lights on it like strobe flashing red, blue or white. And if you're looking to purchase, look up dodge charger push bars.
Are bull bars legal in the Austin TX?
Some states require license plate relocation from the body to the bull bar. However, all states allow installation of aftermarket bull bars as of 2018. In recent times bullbars have become popular also as a cosmetic accessory, particularly on the larger four wheel drive and Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs).
Are Full Metal Bull Bars legal?
Vehicles fitted with bars before this date are not affected. The directive insists on a minimum level of protection for pedestrians and that the bars are type-approved for the cars they are intended to fit. Steel bull bars don't meet these standards and are therefore effectively illegal.
Do bull bars affect mpg?
yes. Anything that adds weight and wind-resistance will have some sort of effect on your mpg. How much it affects it will depend on other mods and which bull bar you choose.
Does a bull bar affect airbags?
Toyota approves some bull bars that can work with its vehicles while other aftermarket bumper makers such as Mobile Auto Truck Repair Austin certify that their steel bumpers will not impact airbag deployment. So, buying an airbag friendly bull bar/steel bumper is very important if you value your safety.
What is the law on bull bars?
While you wouldn't get away with one like that, it is not illegal for vehicles to be fitted with bull bars in the Austin TX. As long as the bull bars do not cause an increased risk to passengers, pedestrians and other road users, they are allowed.

Bracketology 2020: Butler and San Diego State are No. 1 seeds. North Carolina is out
Tumblr media
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports
The NCAA’s mid-season bracket projection features some strange names on the top line and some notable programs missing from the field.
Before the season tipped off on Nov. 5, I posted a rather pedestrian preseason bracket projection complete with the usual caveat that it was an exercise in futility and that things would look completely different on Selection Sunday.
However, we are now roughly halfway between the start of the season and that date — Sunday, March 15 — and the field of 68 is already completely unrecognizable from the one I conjured up a little more than two months ago. For starters, a whopping 29 of the 68 teams in the projected bracket below are newcomers. OK ... that’s not all that unusual, as there were 28 changes between 2018’s preseason effort and the first projection of 2019. Instead, it’s some of the names, both missing and present, that provide this bracket’s shock value, particularly if you’ve been more focused on football’s championship chase up until this point.
Tumblr media
Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports
Roy Williams, like many North Carolina fans, has had trouble watching the Tar Heels lately.
If you’re looking for the North Carolina Tar Heels (a preseason No. 3 seed) or the Cincinnati Bearcats (an NCAA Tournament team for nine seasons running), you’re going to be disappointed. Neither team is even close to the “under consideration” board at this moment, thanks to early struggles brought about by injury and the rules I’ve implemented to evaluate teams based on how the Selection Committee used the NET in 2019.
Note that the 73rd-ranked St. John’s Red Storm were the lowest-rated team in Selection Sunday 2019’s NET to earn an at-large bid. Balancing this guidance against the newness of the metric, I’m only considering teams in the NET Top 80 for at-large selection. In Monday’s NET (which I used to build the bracket), the Tar Heels ranked 101st and the Bearcats 88th, so they’re out. Other notables who missed the cut for today include the Iowa State Cyclones (81st), Pittsburgh Panthers (84th) and Syracuse Orange (87th).
But the struggles of these March mainstays have opened the door for some new names. The two most shocking are those of the Penn State Nittany Lions and Rutgers Scarlet Knights — a pair of woebegone programs who’s sudden resurgence helped boost the Big Ten’s current bid total to 10 (out of 14 teams). Remember that the old 16-team Big East set the record for most bids with 11 back in 2011.
The Nittany Lions are in position to reach the tournament in Pat Chambers’ ninth season, having last qualified in 2011 — Ed DeChellis’ eighth and final campaign in Happy Valley. Penn State’s last NCAA trip before that came in 2001 — when Jerry Dunn’s squad reached the Sweet Sixteen. Based on those dates, the Nittany Lions, currently 12-2 and projected as a No. 4 seed, are a year ahead of schedule!
Tumblr media
Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports
Consecutive wins over Wisconsin and in-state rival Seton Hall have Rutgers in this bracket projection and dreaming of more consequential hardware.
As for Penn State’s rivals from New Jersey, the Scarlet Knights are already 11-3 in Steve Pikiell’s fourth season — having won just 15, 15 and 14 games in the first three. Rutgers is a No. 7 seed in today’s bracket heading into tonight’s visit from ... Penn State. By the way, the Scarlet Knights last reached the NCAA Tournament in 1991 under current TV commentator Bob Wenzel. That’s 29 years and six head coaches ago!
Naturally, the top of today’s projection was not immune from the general oddness of the 2019-20 season so far. Sure, the Kansas Jayhawks, a No. 1 seed back in November, and the Duke Blue Devils, found on seed line No. 2 two months ago, make up half of today’s top seed line. But back then it was nearly impossible to predict that the Butler Bulldogs, an 11th-seeded First Four participant, and the San Diego State Aztecs, completely absent from the preseason bracket, would make up the other half. Oddly enough, the Florida Gators, a November top seed, for all intents and purposes replaced Butler in this bracket’s First Four. As for the Kentucky Wildcats, November’s fourth No. 1, they’re on seed line No. 8 today after a non-conference season that saw them defeat preseason No. 1 Michigan State Spartans on Opening Night, then lose to the Evansville Purple Aces a week later. While John Calipari’s team managed to defeat the Louisville Cardinals at home before the start of SEC play, losses in Las Vegas to the Utah Utes and Ohio State Buckeyes hurt their profile a bit.
Tumblr media
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports
Saturday’s home win over archrival Virginia Tech kept 2019’s National Champions in today’s bracket.
You will also likely be surprised by the placement of 2019’s National Champion, the Virginia Cavaliers. They’re on the 11 line, thanks in part to some offensive struggles that are damaging their metrics, but also thanks to a lack of quality wins early on. The Cavaliers don’t yet own a single Quad 1 victory and they’ve yet to play a team ranked higher than 48th in the NET (the Purdue Boilermakers).
So without further delay, here’s today’s full bracket and rundown. Asterisks (*) mark new entrants, while arrows indicate whether a returning team’s seed rose or fell. The full seed list is available on Blogging the Bracket.

Bracket Notes
I’ve been doing this for a long time (2010 was my first season with SB Nation, for reference) and I cannot think of a bracket projection with so many potentially explosive first and second round matchups.
Rematches feature heavily in this bracket’s projected top-two Elite Eight matchups. Saturday’s twin bill would likely start with a Big 12/Big East Battle rematch between Butler and Baylor in Indianapolis and close with an all-Pacific timezone matchup in the West between San Diego State and Gonzaga. Sunday’s doubleheader would undoubtedly begin with a rematch of Kansas and Auburn’s 2019 Round of 32 matchup in Houston and end with yet another Duke-Michigan State showdown in New York — the third in the span of a little more than a year.
Due to variance in early conference scheduling, there are some surprise auto bid holders in this field, with negative repercussions for those leagues’ seeding. By virtue of their win over the Penn Quakers in the Ivy League’s first game of the year, the 5-8 Princeton Tigers represent the conference today instead of the Yale Bulldogs or Harvard Crimson. In the WAC, the Kansas City Roos (formerly UMKC) are 2-0 after the first week of play, one win better than the conference’s perennial champs, the 1-0 New Mexico State Aggies. Then there are the Vermont Catamounts, the lone America East team yet to begin conference play — that means the conference’s highest-ranked entry in the NET sits this one out. Note that early idiosyncrasies are a taste of the surprises that await during Selection Week.
Note that since the Idaho Vandals host Spokane’s First and Second Round pods and the Horizon League and IUPUI Jaguars are responsible for the Midwest Regional in Indianapolis, both Gonzaga and Butler can play quasi-home games this March. However, since the Houston Cougars serve as one of the South’s hosts, they must be placed in a different region entirely. Similarly, the Creighton Bluejays cannot play in Omaha for the first weekend.
Can the Big Ten really account for a full quarter of this season’s at-large teams? Will the ACC only place a quartet in the field of 68? On Friday, I’ll be back with more details on where each of the multi-bid conference stand with a little more than two months before Selection Sunday.

The Process of Gentrification
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Helllooooo again! I am back! I took a very long break but now it is time to get serious. I know back in first post I said I was going to talk about the positives and negatives and why it’s important to me, but I decided to change my mind. I’m still going to talk about these things because they are important but that will come later on. Maybe in my third or forth post.
For this post, I decided it would be interesting to talk about the process of gentrification because I thought it would be interesting to inform you guys about. I wanted to research how does gentrification happen and why does it happen? Why do investors or whoever choose to come certain cities and start changing things around?
As I research, I came to find out a few things. The process of gentrification is not so complicated. According to PBS, it states that gentrification usually happens because the city or certain areas need a change. Investors are looking to tear down old buildings and make new ones. They also have to certain qualities such as diversity and convenience.
Another article that I found called “How Gentrification Works” by Dave Roos talks about the same thing but he goes into a little more detail. Here, he speaks about how the area has to go through a disinvestment. A disinvestment is where buildings go out of business. Money is being loss. Then he goes into talking about investors become interested in the area and that’s when all the new buildings start rising.
This is basically how gentrification happens, and most of the time it just sneaks up on you. Now you can easily know when it is happening. According to Adam Frank and his article “What Does it Take to see Gentrification Happen Before It Happens” he talks about how by the time you think gentrification is starting, it is too late. It started before you even realize. For example, if they upgraded the park near your house to a much nicer one that’s one way of knowing gentrification will be happening soon. You will also know, if bodegas (grocery stores) start shutting down, or a new Starbucks, or target, or Duane Reade shows up out of no where around your neighborhood.
Now time for a personal story and opinion! I am going to try and add these to each of my blog post. With everything that I researched I agree with all of it especially with the last article by Adam Frank. I agree with his the most because Gentrification kind of just sneaks up on you. When it first started around my neighborhood, I automatically thought “oh yay a Starbucks is closer to my house”, or “oooo, we finally have a Duane Reade”. I also remember seeing one of my favorite parks as a kid go under construction and being jealous when it was done because it was so much nicer and bigger than before. Even though all these great things started happening I never knew it was the start of my neighborhood changing for good.
Last but not least, I thought it would cool to add a little fun fact about the 10 different cities changing and the percentage of change these places have gone through. Now this article came out 4 years ago, but I still thought it was interesting how high the percentages was back then.  I came across this when I was researching the process of gentrification, so hopefully you guys find it interesting too. Hopefully I can find something that will show how much it has changed till now.
The article where I got the information from is called “The 10 U.S. Cities that are gentrifying the fastest” by Darby Minow Smith.
1.       Portland Oregon - 53.1% has be gentrified
2.       Washington, D.C – 51.9% has been gentrified
3.       Minneapolis, Minnesota – 50.6% has been gentrified
4.       Seattle, Washington – 50% has been gentrified
5.       Atlanta, Georgia – 46.2% has been gentrified
6.       Virginia Beach, Virginia – 42.1% has been gentrified
7.       Denver, Colorado – 39.7% has been gentrified
8.       Austin, Texas – 30% has been gentrified
9.       Sacramento, California – 29.8% has been gentrified
10.   New York, New York – 29.3% has been gentrified
