i get so uncomfortable when coworkers tell me they're reading my body language or interpreting my facial expressions. like. don't you have anything better to do. leave me alone.

#i'll concede that there are some expressions that are most likely representing a certain emotion or reaction #but it's weird to me to suggest that you can read nonverbal communication like it's an exact precise language #like if i'm grimacing in a meeting it's probably a headache not a reaction to what someone said #and it feels almost...dismissive of my interiority? to suggest that i made x expression and that automatically means i feel y #that people are machines who always respond to an input the same way?#also in my experience the people who claim to be the best at reading people are. not in tune with reality #my former boss always bragged about being able to read people soooo well and a lot of those people hated her #and have told me that now that we don't work with her anymore

i have my little aro blog and usually i will post related things over there but i am realizing that this maybe means i don't talk about stuff as much on this blog. i want the mutuals to know my personal views on love and amatonormativity and the way that aromanticism affects the way that i view everything around me. have i expressed recently that i feel the societal concept of love as it currently exists is not something accessible to me and that a) the boxes of 'romantic' and 'platonic' do not encompass the range of human feeling, b) i often feel as if i experience feelings for other people that feel entirely unique to me by virtue of lack of discussion of anything other than romantic or platonic feelings, and c) a lack of relation to romantic love (either the desire for it or the experience of feeling it) is really fundamental to the way in which i experience the world, it changes a lot of things in how you perceive love and romance and relationships as a whole, and i feel it's essential to an understanding of me as a person

#being aromantic is like if they invented being queer but queer people didn't understand it either #which like. hey. can't expect you to tune in automatically to the way i feel. just a strange experience sometimes...#anyway i am so extremely aromantic and i love being aromantic and i feel that aromanticism opens up whole new worlds to me #and it's important to me that you all know that. and that i can talk about how romantic/platonic is a false and limiting dichotomy #have sat around with the close dear friends before talking for Hours about this. but not the close dear online mutuals maybe...#valentine notes

They were blowing some kind of fog horn on base tonight, which was really weird.

Now they're firing the big guns in the dark, which is considerably less weird, but I can't help but wonder if they were related.

the titration providers love sending me huge blocks of text right when I'm at my least capable of processing the written word

#yeurgh..#it doesnt seem like ill even need an appointment with them(?) looks like they do all communication via email + virtual forms #which would be fine but they word things so confusingly + with such bad grammar and keep sending me the wrong forms #the delivery stuff is such a hassle too. if i get meds delivered directly to my address then its covered entirely by them but-#i dont think i can do that bc someone has to be in to collect it and me + my flatmate both work 9-5 weekdays #i CAN just get the prescription slip delivered but a) I have to pay for meds out of pocket and i dunno if rtc actually counts as nhs #so itll probably cost MORE than the nhs standard prescription charge and b) i have to request + receive the slip then #take it to a pharmacy on a saturday + if they cant fulfill it on the day then wait a week before i can return to pick it up and-#they only prescribe for a month ahead at a time which would be fine if it was a fixed repeat prescription but while theyre working-#me thru it i have to update them weekly + frequently alter it + if i miss 3 weekly updates they automatically discharge me. lmao #the other option is getting it delivered to work but i dont think i can do that either and even if i could im not sure id want to bc id-#have to disclose to them that its a medication i need them to take in and i dont want my work getting fucking nosy abt my health or-#knowing i have adhd. so here we fucking are #ugh. why does everything have to be so fucking complicated. they rly designed the entire adhd diagnosis + titration system to be as-#counter-intuitive and difficult for a person with adhd to work with as they possibly fucking could #i kind of wish i could talk to them in person bc this would be so much easier to work out that way. man #whatever i have a splitting fucking headache and im gonna start crying if i have to think about anything. nvm too late!!!!!#ill sort it tomorrow its just one day whatever i give up. runs headfirst into a brick wall and crumples looney tunes style #.diaries #.vent
