Kinda wanna do a mix of funny and dramatic class swap (that I will actually probably never do LOL), but also... Who is swapping with who?

Well to get to that, first question:

How are they swapping?

Is this a general background swap where their past choices lead to them having different carriers OR is it them temporarily doing this for a mission?

Let's go with option two.

For that I propose:

Scout → Pyro (since he is quick to cover ground, meaning he could surprise the enemy by making a ring of Fire around them).

Soldier → Demoman (already dealing with explosives, probably would be able to Sticky-jump)

Pyro → Spy (can be sneaky and Spy is already a character that masks a lot as well)

Demoman → Sniper (he doesn't have to close his other eye to scope in, has practice with blades and also is definitely calculated enough to be a marksman)

Heavy → Soldier (is definitely strong enough to hold the rocket launcher + extra mobility! or extra health with the Black Box and also... He can already use a shotgun)

Engineer → Heavy (you'll have to hold up on this one, but he would probably be able to make some mech for this mission)

Medic → Scout (neither Spy nor Sniper really fit here in my opinion, or well maybe Spy could, but would be very unwilling + Medic already has speed boosting options and if he didn't have to carry the probably pretty heavy Medigun and pack, he would be capable of being pretty fast, he's already at I believe 107% speed, can't check since the official Wiki is throwing Error 503 at me again)

Sniper → Medic (definitely knows at least some wound treatment and ugh... Otherwise he would have to be Engineer and while he definitely fixes up his van himself and I headcannon him to have vocational school as automechanic... I can't really see him as Engineer)

Spy → Engineer (this guy definitely secretly studied Dell's blueprints to perfect the Sapper + the Red Tape exists (it pretty much deconstructs Engineer buildings) and while he probably wouldn't want to get his hands dirty, he's definitely capable of doing that in an emergency situation, which definitely happened in case of them all swapping classes)

Tbh, could find better swaps, but this feels fun to me. Especially the idea of Medic running around with the Scattergun.

Quick AU idea or just me thinking too hard about stuff...

So we know what happened to Ingo in PLA, he lost his memories and ended up in the Pearl Clan that worships Palkia.

So I think it would be interesting in a setting of a swap AU for the Subway twins, where Emmet gets isekaied instead, that he would end up in Diamond Clan BUT instead of loosing his memories he either looses his sense of space or straight up looses his sight.

Think about it:

Palkia is all about space, Dialga is time, 2 Pokémon that have concepts that make up the reality baked into them.

Lack of memory, could be Ingo loosing his sense of Time so it would make sense that Emmet would be the opposite and loose his sense of Space by either being lost all the time or well... Blinded as some cruel joke made by Arcues himself.

What are we thinking?

Imma actually elaborate on some of the AUs I've listed on a post. If you're reading this, it means that I've successfully posted a scheduled post for the first time.

I'm specifically gonna talk about the "Ingo comes back to the modern times but uh-oh his years in Hisui have transformed into Zoroark" because like... It was the AU with the least idea/content behind it, because like... Again, just the ending was something I thought out, but here we go:

So, some time after Ingo disappeared he comes back just kinda... Frozen in time. He is basically the same as he left, down to age. He doesn't know that he's been gone at all or what happened.

At the same time a very weird Zoroark specimen is frightening people near the frozen parts of Unova. Ingo starts having these weird dreams from the point of view of the creature.

The whole conclusion of the AU would be Ingo meeting the Zoroark and well, shenanigans happen and their physical bodies dissolve revealing the Zoroark was just part of Ingo's soul that got split when he came back to Unova. Ingo's soul completes itself and restores his physical self as the Warden Ingo and he just kinda laughs because he finally got all his life back together and then cries some soft tears as he realises that all his friends from Hisui are long gone.

That was the story and honestly, I don't think I'll ever officially make it an AU, but feel free to use this idea as long as you don't do something weird with it, like, be normal.

A while ago during my Sketchtember escapade, I made yet another AU with Highlands shipping as somewhat of a focus, but mostly it's like this:

Cresselia and Giratina posses Melli and Ingo respectively and they get into such shenanigans that Dialga and Palkia call up on Adaman and Irida to essentially tell them "Guys, they are too silly, you need to stop them because if we were ti come and do it, we would just beat our sibling into lasagna and your region would be gone so please deal with our f- up."

The tomfoolery includes:

1. Acting very out of character yet making everyone in Hisui believe that they are the people they are pretending to be.

2. Deciding to go on a vacation to Unova to see their old friend Victiny.

3. Adaman can't use a map for the life of his.

4. The legendaries channeling their powers through full! Pokéballs just to make the Pokémon in them match their aesthetic.

5. 2 people being so gay for eachother, they almost make the 2 legendaries kiss.

I don't actually know how would I end the story for real, all I came up is an in character of the AU but Idk how funny ending where Zekrom just yells "DIVORCE! NOW!" and Cresselia and Giratina are forced to leave the bodies they possessed.

Also when it comes to the Pokémon, I'm actually thinking about drawing that for real and even got like... A gimmick for these forms.

For Melli's Cresseliad Pokémon it's that they get bulkier (more HP + 1 of the defences boosted + they can still attack while using Rest).

Ingo's Giratinad Pokémon would actually mimic what happens when Giratina changes form and simply put, the offensive and defensive stats swap.

I have so many AUs where Ingo and Giratina meet since Giratina is my favourite legendary and Ingo has been my character of obsession for the better of 2 years, pushing a 3rd one so I gotta make SHEETS for all the different versions, however I wanna yap a bit about this all.

So in some AUs Ingo just gets a Giratina themed magical girl transformation because SURPRISE I LIKE THE MAGICAL GIRL GENRE because I sparkly transformations using magic are so much cooler than... A guy putting on a costume to do a hero work. Anyways, in this scenario, it's more so Ingo's clothes getting modified, because while I picture Ingo to be creative, I don't think he's creative in design more like he's creative in making solutions for problems, but just due to the nature of Giratina, his anatomy gets a bit altered, to allow for additional arms and such (this is not gonna be easy to implement because all vertebrates evolved from beings with 4 limbs, but there are a lot of artistic guides so).

However in another AU about which I was yapping about last time, Ingo just gets possessed by Giratina and I believe that Giratina has NO regard for human or animal anatomy so additional set of arms is kinda just... Not actually attached to anything, but it isn't floating either and also... His wings in this form would start where the neck connects to the torso because again... Giratina has no regards for human anatomy so even these wings don't actually connect to anything and even don't make the body fly. Bro just bends the space around them and flaps their wings to create the illusion of flight.

One thing to note about Ingo's flat in Stanica90, which I recommend reading my little short descriptions of the furniture, is that it's very empty.

And it's not just that no one besides him and his Pokémon live there but also... It really is just empty. I am kinda basing it off a hotel I spent the night on the school trip to Poland last year where there was just:

A table

A shelf ???

A bed

A radiator

A lamp

A bathroom with toilet, sink and shower

And that's it. Ingo's living is very similar, like aside from what was already in the flat (kitchen and bathroom + lamps and radiators) he has like... 5 pieces of furniture and that's it.

He got a full shelf of books, but he has no little decorations, the walls are mostly white aside from 1 wallpaper right at where you enter.

The only major thing he did to his flat is tearing down 1 wall so when you walk into the hallway you also immediately enter the living room.

Also the flat has like... 3 rooms, but it's still very tiny (the 2nd bedroom is used as a storage), like the "everything is next to the wall because where else to put it?" tiny. The type of tiny where if you want to share bed with like a spouse or someone else, you better get a bunk bed, that's the only one you'll fit in tiny.

So yeah, you'll understand if a visitor is gonna be like "Damn bruh, you live like this?"

My AU ideas over my 2-3 years in PLA fandom, the recenter the worse the summary:

Yeah so how about all these people (Volo, Melli, Ingo, Irida, Adaman) got turned into Pokémon statues and then woke up in the modern day, everyone at a completely different place? (Irida was a Jolteon, Adaman Sylveon, Volo Ninetales, Ingo Zoroark and Melli was a Gallade)

How about people having the ability to shift from hybrids to Pokémon, werewolf style, but fully sapient/cognitive ft. Evil science with Evil radiation.

People making contracts with Gods. EPIC TRAUMA AHEAD! and one dead/undead Ingo

Immortal Volo + ghost of one warden he sacrificed (Ingo) trying to kill him so he can actually move on to afterlife. Yveltal got VERY ANGRY THAT TIME!

Ingo comes back to modern day, but uh-oh all his years in Hisui transformed into a Zoroark that's now roaming Unova (only got the ending)

What if instead of time travel, the trauma was communism?

Some more stuff + explanations:

1. Lead in tooth - simply put, Ingo had to get his tooth fixed. Now it kinda started to react to the weather.

2. His dad's old coat - he got it from the will. He wears it every winter and had it repaired multiple times.

3. The cigarette case - this item actually holds more things, acting more as a tool box. But that will be relevant once I actually get into its contents.

Also you may notice the difference in face and that's because I need to practice drawing faces some more.

Prepare yourself, because he may not be the prettiest (but he's feeling good, so that's all that matters). So next one to shave (as we say) is Emmet! After that I will probably do Melli, since he's gonna be featured in the New Year's art, then Elesa and Skyla + maybe Drayden since like... He's the only remaining living relative to the twins.

So Imma do the same thing I did for Ingo and drop some basic info on Emmet too.

Status: married for tax benefits (his wife is dating another person with full consent from Emmet or how to put it) + a loan

Other info: He's very confidently AroAce, despite not knowing about the labels... Existing. He loves finding and exploiting loopholes and the system itself, but also can pick up on fellow exploiters. He used to do ████ █████ ████ ██ ███ ███████ ██████████ ████████ ███ █████ ████████ ████ ██ ██████ ███████ ███████ ██ █████ ██ █████████ ███ █████ ████ ███ ████ ████ ██ ███ ██████ ███.

Time for more headcannons and believe it or not, this time it's not only Scarlet and Violet related, but also an AU that I had started sketching last school year and plan to get back to.

I call this the Red-dad and Purple-mum AU.

While this may contradict the cannon, in this AU Sada and Turo are very attentive parents in contrast with their (robotic) significant other (red dad for Scarlet Turo and purple mum for Violet Sada) just that they are huge science-heads and currently away. Red-dad!Turo is a physicist that's currently doing some research in Pokémon equivalent of CERN and Purple-mum!Sada is on an archeological site with Cynthia somewhere far away.

The angst in this AU is more because they just... don't understand eachother that well. Sada/Turo don't really know how to connect with their son because they don't know how to connect with him, Arven meanwhile sees his parents as scientists so much, he doubts they share any common interests. Also Arven wanted to go with them (before Mabostiff's health went so down) to where they were going, because school was unbearable after the Team Star incident, but they left him home to focus on school (before this they took him everywhere... Also in this AU they really wanted to stay with Arven, but their duties called). The worst conflict they had besides that was about Arven wanting to go to culinary school instead of some scientifically oriented university, but they got over that almost immediately.

Their relationship sort of mends after the big reveal, since they realise they only have eachother to support them through their shared grief.

To elaborate on the BODY HORROR HOW SWEET! point in my AU list (this is just a small appetizer. Also the work on Stanica90 AU ain't stopping, just giving you something more casual alongside my serious project)

Gonna get the Stanica 90 AU refs going, but as a little appetizer, have complete profile for Ingo:

Ingo - Stanica90 (Station90)

Age: 34 years old at the start of 1990 (when the story begins)

Full name: Imrich Golonka (he'll be referred to as Ingo still, this is fir stuff like ID and stuff)

Occupation: Train conductor

Goals: 1. Get back to having a social life

2. Finish his degree (was kicked out of college for not having the "right" profile)

Other information: Currently single with a flat in Bratislava - Petržalka (Czechoslovakia until 1993, after - Slovakia) with the view of the border fence that's now getting destroyed. He used to go to this secret club, got him wondering if it's still around, it's been 10 years after all...

Bad habits include smoking and occasional drinking, but what Slovak ever abstains from any of that? Other bad habits include just about climbing into his own flat through the balcony and never telling anyone where he's headed, making his brother worry.

The story is to some extent still in development, but you ain't ready for one thing cooking in my head, that's for sure.

Also this story is gonna be very Slovak.

Even tho I haven't yet finished Ingo's ref for the AU and I promised myself not to talk about characters I ain't yet got sketched, I have to talk a bit about Stanica90 AU Emmet.

Most importantly, the design differences.

1st thing first, he's more fashionable (at least in today's sense) than Ingo. While Ingo wears a tracksuit, Emmet wears jeans and a jean jacket. They both wear things that were "new" in the 90s Eastern block, but they've each went for a different thing. 1 to be considered kitsch and unfashionable and 1 that has since surpassed the trend and became just a part of everyday fashion.

Ingo's fingertips are also almost permanently blackened by tar and dirt while Emmet's are cleaner on the surface (still somewhat darker because some stuff jusr doesn't come of easily).

Emmet however is the one with the sharp edges and the one who's got beaten shoes all the time, sort of tarnishing the pretty boy facade. He's not the "approachable" twin.

Ingo despite literally climbing through his balcony to his own home has nice looking shoes. His clothes fold round, so he doesn't have the sharp edges.

They read opposite of what the narrative may suggest they are...

Gonna drop a bit of info about Stanica90 AU before actually dropping some substantial stuff forr it HURRAY!

So, this will actually not be part of the story, just some extra content, this time about the family of Ingo and Emmet.

They were born in the Winter of 1958, so in the time the AU starts they are 31 to 32 (I am thinking about moving the start of the AU to December 1989) and their parents were actually pushing into their 50s when they were born. Their parents in fact didn't expect to get pregnant after years of trying. However, this means that they didn't have that much energy to take care of the boys, so they often had to rely on eachother to play games or deal with trouble.

Before college it was usually Ingo who took the more parental role, due to being born first, but well... Stuff happened which I'm actually gonna keep secret for now.

Their parents actually passed away close to eachother just before Emmet officially married Elesa with their last will gifting the pair their wedding rings. They were in their 70s.

Drayden actually holds a bit of a parallel here with the twins, since he is significantly younger than their parents, being at the start of the story in his 50s, meaning that his brother (the father of the twins) was already a grown adult so a lot of the time, his older brother acted as the parent. Drayden did similar for the twins, substituting a parent when their parents couldn't keep up.

Stuff may change around if dates need to be adjusted, but this is the family background for now.
