Sometimes I get a little dreamy about Voyager and how things could have been for some people… What if that Q who wanted to commit suicide had never died and had stayed on Voyager? I think he would have been a great contribution to the crew, besides providing some really funny moments… What if Denara had been cured of phagia and had been integrated into the crew too? She and the Doctor could have developed a relationship… What if Janeway and Chakotay had had more time on New Earth to develop a relationship and after that they could no longer run away from their love? They would have been the most perfect command couple in the Delta Quadrant and they certainly both would have been so happy! What if, by some irony of fate, Seven could have met Axum again? They could have learned about humanity together and had a very comfortable and learning relationship. And everything would have been in its place… I think I'm going to cry now. Me and my romanticizing mania!

Africa is a continent of more than 50 countries, and home to thousands of languages and cultures. Africans lived in complex societies, from small villages to large bustling cities, that contained universities, mosques, and libraries.
Africa has great civilizations that flourished in Africa included Egypt, Kush, Axum, Mali and Great Zimbabwe.
Africa's history is complex and stretches back through centuries of dynasties. Africa contributed to our knowledge and understanding of ancient writings, languages, agriculture and engineering. Its extensive trade system connected the continent with Asia and India, producing a lively exchange of goods such as grains, metals, and gold.
Black History instruction in K-12 education, 65% of the 401 educators interviewed said that their state does not mandate Black History instruction. Only 12 states require some form of Black history curriculum.
Africans were free before they were enslaved. Enslaved Africans relied on their knowledge and beliefs to survive slavery, and their contributions to U.S. culture, society, and economy are evident in every aspect of American life and enterprise. Agriculture, music, art, and culinary.

Aksumite Woman
This is a marker-shaded drawing of a woman from the ancient civilization of Aksum (or Axum) which thrived between the first and tenth centuries AD in what is now Ethiopia. At its peak, Aksum claimed territory stretching beyond Ethiopia into northern Sudan to the west and southern Arabia to the east.

Making a Matrix library in Rust
I wrote a blog post! It's available here, and it's about writing a linear algebra library in Rust and all the weird type issues that I ran into along the way.
It's also on my new website that I just got set up - it still needs some work, but I really just wanted it to be a simple blogging platform and an opportunity for me to try to build something new, so I hope it works well (enough) for y'all. It's built in rust as well (why wouldn't it be, that's definitely not overkill), using yew for the frontend and axum/sqlx for the backend. I think I'd like to write a post, on the blog, about how I made the blog, so watch out for that if that seems interesting :)

New Blog. Who Were the Original Native Americans?
“It would be an irony, indeed, to find that Americans ‘discovered’ Europe many centuries before Europeans ‘discovered’ America. But the whole notion of any race (European, African, or American) discovered a full-blown civilization is absurd. Such notions should now be abandoned once and for all. They presume some innate superiority in the ‘discoverer’ and something inferior and barbaric in the people ‘discovered.’ These notions run through the works even of pioneers like Wiener, Cauvet and Jeffreys. What I have sought to prove is not that Africans ‘discovered’ America, but that they made contact on at least half a dozen occasions, two of which were culturally significant for Americans.” – Dr. Ivan Van Sertima, author of They Came Before Columbus: The African Presence in Ancient America

Tigray goes Green
The UK FCDO travel advice has just been changed to show all the core areas of Tigray (away from disputed territories and boundaries) as green. UK FCDO travel advice for Tigray At Tesfa Tours we have been sending clients there to trek at community-owned guesthouses and see the wonders of the ancient city of Axum and there hidden rock churches of Gheralta. However for British nationals the fact…

Milano | San Siro – Primi interventi per piazza Axum
Milano San Siro.

I wanna point out with this opportunity the little known fact that though the Ethiopia of the ancient Greeks was vaguely placed, ethnically ambivalent and probably an amalgamation of various existing civilizations around the Nile and the Red Sea, various misunderstandings and misconceptions and idealized fantasies of a faraway mysterious land, in late antiquity and the early-to-middle Middle Ages or, for the eastern Mediterranean, the byzantine period, the land of actual modern-day Ethiopia and parts of the Arabian peninsula were parts of the kingdom of Aksum (Axum), an extremely rich and powerful civilization (including a strong coptic element). Its might in both cultural and geopolitical terms can be testified due to the sheer fact alone that the (Byzantines) late Romans/East Romans, aka the empire that later westerners would call Byzantium and which by all accounts was the strongest and mightiest of its age in the whole of the Mediterranean and the Near East, and who fiercely reserved the title of "emperor" (imperator) for its rulers, in contrast to all other clan leaders, kings, warlords and rulers it came into contact with (see how pressed the Carolingian and Angevin kings were about that), extended the imperial title only to two other monarchs of the age, with whose dominions it interacted on equal terms, whether friendly or hostile - the Shah of Persia and the King of Aksum.
i wont lie, kinda looks like placing aethiopia on a map is a matter of personal opinion, but because of that I wanted to ask where you think it would be? or where you headcanon it to be?
So obviously the ancient Greeks travelled far into the depths of the "known world" to them ,so if I had to place this somewhere it would put it in Sudan and Eritrea, extending into southern Egypt and northern Ethiopia.

It's just my personal statement although i am certain Greek colonies could reach very far according to historical records.
Also fun facts:
Homer describes the Aethiopians as a noble people at "the edges of the world," often linked to the Nile and Red Sea regions.
The historical Kingdom of Kush (modern Sudan) had a powerful civilization that the Greeks might have mythologized.
Egyptians frequently interacted with Nubians and the people of Punt (possibly Eritrea/Somalia).
In general i believe that the ancient Greeks made Aithiopia a mythical land and the name could be inspired by the real Ethiopia influenced from the different countries they have encountered.
