The gentle breeze made a couple strands of your hair sway, making it touch your cheek. He noticed and tucked the strands behind your ear.

You hear him let out a soft sigh as you meet his purple colored irises. You can't help but feel mesmerized and gaze upon it for a couple more seconds til he broke contact. Due to the greediness you felt seeping into your mind you wrapped your fingers around his wrist then guided his hand to cup your cheek.

He was completely caught off guard but the expression on his face was quickly replaced by a gentle, welcoming smile where the warmth reached his eyes.

"Let's stay this way for a minute or so ...", you said as you shut your eyelids and listened to your surroundings.

The rustle of the leaves, chirping of avian creatures and ... the way he breathed. It was all so relaxing.

As you were lost in thought you felt soft lips against your own. A familiar knowing smile formed in an instant, it vanished when you moved your lips against his. The hand that was cupping your cheek slithered and settled on your nape as he pulled you closer and closer toward him.

The male felt his back on the grass as it tickled his skin. He didn't care if his long silver hair touched the ground as his free hand rests on your waist, the shift of your own weight made him feel aware of your every movement.

You pulled away to catch your breath and so did he. Both hearts thumping wildly in each other's chests he couldn't feel any happier than he is right now.

How he waited for this specific moment. To hold you in a way only he could.

To capture your lips with his knowing full well he is yours and you are his.

To see you in a different way, far beyond friends.

"Gaku ... What's in your mind?"

The way you said his name made him sit and scoop you in his arms where he let you sit on his lap.

You were clearly waiting for a response whilst twirling and untwirling his hair with a finger. Gaku buried his face on the crook of your neck before resting his chin on your shoulder.

"You.", He whispered softly, warm breath trickling right next to your neck as it sent shivers down your spine.

You could feel your cheeks burn immediately. It has already been months since you and Gaku started this romantic relationship yet the way he would make your heart flutter or make your cheeks blush happened as if it were the first time. Not to mention how he suddenly changes from his teenage form to his adult form which would almost always give you a heart attack. Let alone the teasing when you two were alone.

"A minute has already passed, y/n.", He began.

"I know. I wish we could stay this way forever.", you replied truthfully before placing a chaste kiss on his cheek.

Gaku remained silent and let his thoughts swallow him whole.

All his waiting for a thousand years was rewarded.

If death sweeps you in their arms and he would wait for you with no questions asked.

"Gaku?"

"Hm? Sorry about that. I was—"

You kissed him before he could even finish his retort. Not that he didn't mind but he knew you had an idea on what lurks in his mind.

"Let's ... Focus on what we have now. Besides you'll always have me."

The male was at a loss of words for a brief second before chuckling to himself.

"You'll fall for me every single time, is that right?"

"It is you who will fall for me first."

Gaku wrapped both arms around your frame and kissed your neck.

"I don't need to fall for you when my feelings shall remain the same. It shall never waver, y/n. For I am yours... "

"And you are mine.", you replied as you placed your forehead against his. The bond you both have for each other shall never break.

Toichiro

The male kitsune huffs while folding both arms on his chest. A quizzical look dawns on his features as he searches for the right words to tell you— no it wasn't that. You knew very well he had a response as soon as you asked.

"If i say, yes indeed it does make me feel powerful when i push you away will your mind be at rest?"

It wasn't fair how he asked a question right back at you yet you didn't feel any ounce of anger nor feel like throwing a fit over this. As you exhaled slowly your lips part to speak.

"Please answer the question. Truthfully, Toto."

Toichiro gazed at you fondly like he always did when you called him by that nickname. He would never dare push the soft, warm feeling away.

"You're well aware I have the capability to push you away when it guarantees your safety. If it means putting a veil over your eyes from the whole truth. I wouldn't care less of how you will think of me..."

He paused for a good short while then continued whilst taking your hand in his.

"However ... I truly have grown fond of you and would never wish to part with you which leads us to an obvious conclusion."

The corner of his mouth tugged upwards and you stare into his eyes. No matter what Toichiro did he couldn't hide the mischievousness in those purple orbs.

He was waiting for your response.

"You'll never push me away."

Toichiro raised your hand against his lips and pressed a chaste kiss on your knuckles before gazing into your eyes.

Ginnojo

"You are my equal. Pushing you away means pushing a part of me away."

Ginnojo ceases from stacking one book after the other as he heard the question you provided to him. He takes a deep breath before turning to see the look on your face.

"Pushing you away is ... It depends on the situation really." , He hoped his choice of words weren't poor but he feels fear creep into him bit by bit.

Expressing one's feelings specifically romantic feelings wasn't in his scope of expertise. The slightest brush of his finger against your hand was enough to make his heart beating quicker than ever before, was enough to make the butterflies in his stomach fly in a chaotic manner. Not to mention the red blush that would adorn his cheeks when he saw you.

"I shall answer you truthfully. If i had not known anything about you— it is not the fact where i would feel powerful for pushing you away but it is more of keeping you safe. There is danger every corner of the city and ... and i would not want any casualties."

Ginnojo clears his throat and looked at you with warmth in his eyes. You knew he wasn't finished.

"But as i fought with you and our comrades ... I realize you are not someone who would simply take the idea of being pushed away as a resolution. You are strong and brave, (y/n). It is an honor to fight by your side and wherever you go i shall follow."

He got carried away and let the words flow naturally from his mouth. The way he turned his face the opposite direction as soon as he felt the warmth spreading across his cheeks.

Gaku

You laugh as you went toward him, arms already wrapped around his waist.

Various sorts of mechanical pieces lay on the smooth wooden surface of the table. The male was busy tinkering with a watch and froze when your voice disrupted the silence surrounding the four corners of the room.

Gaku raised his brows, stood from his seat and placed a hand on his waist once you finished asking your question. He then proceeds to tilt his head slightly to the right, purple orbs not failing to make eye contact.

The male switched to his adult form, it took a couple of strides before he is now directly in front of you. He casually placed a hand against the wall and leaned close to your ear.

"I've waited for a thousand years to see you again. To be with you. I won't dare push you away."

His hot breath trickled against your ear. Your heart raced in your chest as you tried to see what his facial expression would be. To your surprise his eyes were warm yet there was a hint of sadness trying to break free.

You cup Gaku's face in your hands and placed a chaste kiss on his forehead.

"I'm not letting go of you as long as you'll have me.", he whispers softly whilst memorizing the feel of your lips against his skin.
