In 2020, the Ayngaran foundation was established as a spiritual volunteer based non-profit organisation under the direction of Founder Sasi Krishnasamy and Chairman Vince Thomas, a self-driven, spiritual, kindhearted individual. In addition to helping needy families, educating the poor, and taking on many social responsibilities, they also feed the homeless and provide groceries for low-income families.

In previous years, Ayngaran Akshya Dharma has reached out to low-income and vulnerable communities in 20+ settlements across cities in the Greater Tamilnadu area, with 1,500 families. It offer daily and weekly wage workers basic grocery provisions in Greater Tamilnadu Districts. One month of groceries for a family of 5.

Ayngaran Foundation distributes food packets and groceries to the poor and daily wage workers in significant cities such as Coimbatore, Salem, Dindigul, Palani, Trichy Madurai, Chennai, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Palakkad, Thrissur.

During pandemic crises, their volunteer groups provide food packets, medicines, and groceries to needy people; while we sit in the comfort of our homes, locked away with amenities, people are living on the streets, in slums, and in parts of the city without food. In the Coronavirus pandemic, those earning daily wages are most affected, as they can’t even afford proper meals. Even so, there are still some good Samaritans who provide free meals, medicines, and groceries to the needy and homeless in Tamilnadu & Kerala

Ayngaran Foundation , one of the most respected NGOs in Palani, Tamil Nadu, has always taken initiatives to end poverty and bring happiness to the faces of needy families. Akshya Dharma is one of their marvelous initiatives.

Is the standards of Kollywood is going down?

The standards of Kollywood went down without a doubt. The main reason for Kollywood going down like never before is the poor movie selection by the actors. Most of the movies released in the theatres for the past 3 months are flops. Although some of them managed to gain a good amount in the box office it doesn’t mean the movies are worth watching. The main reason they had a good box office is because of the top actors acting in the film or the ones with huge fans. The directors who’s movies were big hit once but now are flops, but the actors played their role. Although all of the recent movies were not flops some of them managed to be good film either in theatres or in the online platform.

Movies like Beast by Vijay, Valimai by Ajith Kumar, Maaran by Dhanush, Annathe by Rajinikanth etc had been flops. The average rating for all the above listed movies are 5.05. these movies were filled with expectations but it left the fans as well as the audience disappointed. Director Nelson Dileep Kumar’s first film Doctor was a huge commercial success gave the fans high hopes for his next movie Beast, but the movie didn’t fulfill the expectations. The director once in a Behinwoods interview said that the actors or the stars won’t let the director take the movie as per their wish. This might also be one of the reasons why the standards of the Kollywood went down. Movies like Kathu Vakkula Rendu Kadhal, Bachelor, Enna solla pogirai, theal, Aranmanai 3, Velan, Hostel, etc left the fans disappointed even without any expectations. The films like Etharkum Thunindhavam, Rocky, Doctor, Ayngaran, Maanadu, Kadaisi Vivasayi, FIR etc helped the standards to not go down and satisfied the general audience as well as the fans. Although the fans of Kollywood didn’t leave their hopes behind.

When movies like Vikram, Don , Nenjukku Needhi were released, every Kollywood fan was happy. It’s because these movies alone brought up the Kollywood’s standards and also managed to be a box office hit. Vikram and Don managed to enter into 100 crore clubs and film Vikram has grossed over 300 crores world wide. The whole Kollywood industry were happy to have such good films in the crucial times. Poniyan Selvan another movie which has a lot of hype has hope and expected to bring pride to the Tamil cinema. So let’s hope that the expected or the unexpected movies to lift the fallen Kollywood.

I can never forget the FDFS experience of Sivaji and Enthiran in Germany. The post-release craze of Jeans was amazing in Europe. Almost every Tamil household had an Ayngaran VHS cassette of the film back then. Mudhalvan and Anniyan are still as good as when they released.

What is meant by Bodhivinayak

Worshipped as the bestow-er of boons and god of wisdom, Lord Ganesha is one of the supreme gods of Hindu mythology and religion.

He has quite many anecdotes revolving around him and he makes appearances in most of the mythological stories. One such very interesting instance is when maha-muni Veda Vyasa asked Lord Ganesha to pen down the great epic of Mahabharata.

Lord Ganesha agreed to do so on the condition that once Veda Vyasa begins to narrate the story, he would not stop and if he fails to do so, Lord Ganesha would walk away from the project. Veda Vyasa being aware of the Lord’s supreme abilities put forth another condition that Lord Ganesha would not take down any narration unless he fully understood it. That way, whenever maha-muni needed some rest, he would phrase a complex sentence that would need some time for Lord Ganesha to decipher.

Thus, began the writing of one of the greatest epics of all time- The Mahabharata. This instance is a fine example of how a guru’s tactfulness can bring to order a finicky mind.

Tale also has it that as Lord Ganesha was writing Mahabhrata, the nib of his pen broke off. He did not waste another moment and broke off his tusk to continue the task.

This is just one of the many instances of the wonders and glories of the Lord.

He is also known as the Lord who removes obstacles and puts one in the path of success. It is for this reason that at least one idol or painting of the Lord is found in every Hindu household, especially in the entrance hall to ward off any evil energy. A brief puja of the Lord is also performed before commencing any function or event to ensure fruitful results.

Sitting posture:

An often-depicted pose of the Lord is him sitting in Lalita Aasana. He is seated either on a Lotus or a throne with one leg folded and the other resting on the ground. This pose symbolises his interest in the worldly affairs of his devotees.

Standing posture:

With Ganesh Chaturthi just around the corner, you are sure to find this posture of the Lord in a number of Pandals. This posture is called Abhanga Aasana which literally means “not-bent”. It represents agility and attitude.

Sleeping posture:

This one depicts the Lord in a luxurious state where he is shown reclining against a pillow on a grand throne/sofa. This posture represents immense prosperity and is often found in workspaces and offices.

Dancing posture:

The Lord here is shown merrily dancing to his music. Such idols are said to bring in vibes of joy, happiness and vibrance.

Not just his posture but the position of his trunk also holds great significance.

Trunk turned right:

Called the Siddhi Vinayaka, such an idol where the trunk of the Lord is turned right is said to invoke the energy of the sun. Such idols are often found in temples as these need to be properly worshipped following all rituals and procedures.

Trunk turned left:

Contrary to Siddhi Vinayaka, this idol is said to invoke the energies of the moon and represents Ida Nadi. These are the type of idols often found in households as they are said to bring in peace and serenity.

Trunk being straight:

Such idols are a rare kind and they symbolise that the central axis of the human body is open. It conveys the message of alignment with oneself.
