While Marc Marquez is obviously dominating the rest of the field of riders on a satellite bike, I think it's interesting to take a look at Fabio Di Giannantonio's results.
He started the season with 3 DNFs in the first 3 sprints of the season. He has completed all the sprints since and has always finished the races on Sunday.
Besides the DNFs, his worst results are a P10 in the Portimao race (round 2) and a P13 in the Jerez sprint (round 4).
Besides the results stated above, Diggia has always placed in the top 7. That's 9 top 7 so far, with his highest result so far being a P5 (Barcelona race).
The elements above notably signify that since the Sunday in Jerez, he has always placed in the top 7 (that's 7 consecutive races).
Qualification wise, it's been a bit of half and half. He's qualified directly to Q2 4 times. Of the 3 times he went to Q1, he only survived once (Barcelona).
That said, his average qualifying position is 8.3. It places him 8th among all riders, 4th for satellite riders (Jorge Martin is 1st with a 3.1 average, Pedro Acosta is 5th with a 6.6 average and Marc Marquez is 6th with a 7.0 average). The next GP23 rider is Marco Bezzecchi in 9th with a 10.0 average (also directly went to Q2 4 times, never survived Q1).
Diggia stands P9 in the overall standings with 74 points. He is the 4th satellite rider (Jorge is P1 with 171 points, Marc is P3 with 136 points, Pedro is P5 with 101 points). The next satellite rider, who also happens to be on a GP23, is Alex Marquez in P10 with 51 points.
Just saw Vale suiting up for Monster Energy track day.
So if Marc doesn't get to take RedBull with him, does he automatically get Monster?
Do we have potential Rosquez Monster day next year or is Vale pulling a non appearance for that
replacing marc’s annual queen-out with max verstappen (honda thanks day) with a mandatory meet up with his EX BOYFRIEND on british soil where he’s not even allowed to bring ALEX is cruel and unusual. i would personally like to see it
