В семье Джонс полный фулхаус, потому что у мамы жц - выдать замуж 6 детей XD Им выпало задание на неделю - пригласить родственников и всех сфотографировать ретро-фотоаппаратом (карьерная награда). Родственников у Джонсов нет, ретро-фотика тоже нет даже на Серегиной выставке. Тогда просто сходят в выходные в парк и сфоткаются в кабинке :) Не помню - дети могут фоткаться в кабинке или только начиная с подростков?

Поставила маленькие мольберты и теперь наслаждаюсь маленькими картинами XD

Леона - Я не хочу есть этот суп! Он по цвету похож на зомби!

Рауль - А уроки ты сделала? Выпендриваешься тут!

It was a long but fun day out for Emma. But eventually it came to an end and she made her way back home. Still in a good mood, she helped her mother prepare some roast chicken for dinner, as it was already starting to get late. Maybe Maureen was doing most of the work, but the effort was there.

At the dinner table, Emma could not wait to tell her family about her day. So much had happened after all. She noticed her parents giggling about the way that she was talking without end, but she could tell the loving nature behind it, so she did not mind.

Afterwards, just as Emma was about to help Maureen wash up, the phone started ringing in the hallway. Excited to speak to whomever it may be, though hoping it would be one of her friends, Emma jumped up and immediately went to pick up the phone.

[TRANSCRIPT]

Emma: “I sure have missed your cooking.”

Maureen: “Oh, thank you, but you did help. Anyway, how was your day out?”

Emma: “It was great! I visited Niall at his huge manor. You see, he’s a proper celebrity now! It was so nice seeing him again. And then I went out with Judy and I bought some new clothes. I hope you don’t mind that I took some money from the drawer.”

Edward: “Don’t worry, it’s for you, too. And I can tell you had fun, haven’t heard you ramble on like this in years.”

Emma: “Haven’t you? I suppose things are going well for me. Don’t think you’ve heard the end of it!”

Maureen: “Well, enough rambling for now. Want to help me clean up the dishes, Emma?”

Emma: “Sure, why not?”

*ring ring*

Emma: “I’ll go get it!”

Edward: “Sounds like somebody is weasling their way out of their chores.”

I finished setting up an 18th century downloads folder, and proceeded to play a vaguely BaCC Pirate Shipwreck game I had some loose ideas for. Did not get very far. Probably should have rolled the lads some skill points to begin with. An since I was just having fun, I didn’t thoroughly record all their traits and LTWs and what have you, I just want to show off what I did manage.

1. Captain James Teague. He wouldn’t stop sunbathing on the beach and became quite sunburned.

2. Quartermaster Henry Flintheart, a slightly nerdy fellow, but don’t let that fool you; the scar on his face betrays his badassery.

3. Ship’s cook Billy Butcher (...I didn’t realize where I got the name from until after, and now it has stuck!), conversing with Cabin Boy Jack Threepwood. Billy was responsible for cooking meals and keeping an eye on the only goat that survived the wreck; the goat nearly died of dehydration but is doing fine now.

4. The other Cabin Boy Silver Sparrow, clearly an assumed name, but pirates don’t care about that. A skinny, private lad, Silver found himself in charge of maintaining the carrots they had to plant in order to have foo for the winter.

5. Carpenter Underwood Bones, on a trip to the nearby forest to gather food and supplies, trying his luck with a beehive. He didn’t succeed, but did manage to fell a tree before the round was through. That’s awfully important, as my loose rules want walls to be purchased with wood, and the ship needs 200 wood before it’s seaworthy again. (...but I will need to figure out exactly how to do anything with that concept!)

7. A freshwater pond in the woods not far from the beach; I worked very hard to try and make it look properly wild.

8. Quartermaster Henry Flintheart getting a tad inappropriate with Cabin Boy Silver Sparrow. Not that Silver seems to mind.

9. First Cabin Boy Jack Threepwood practicing his navigation skills on the wrecked ship, supervised by the Quartermaster.

10. Overview of the wilderness, as Crewman Hitchcock Jones and the two cabin boys arrive to see what they can find.

11. First Mate Edward Moray (if I remember correctly), a hotheaded, rough, scoundrel of a man, but a loyal first mate, dedicated to ensuring the crew’s survival under the captain’s direction.

I always forget to update the in-game camera resolution, but it all managed to look pretty nice anyway! The main ideas here are to have the crew slowly scavenge crops and livestock from the forest, meet the natives of the island, and gradually split off to their own households with actual houses. I’m also planning to use some ship mechanics I made up a long time ago, if I can make them work--once somebody owns a functional ship lot, they can hire a crew and sail the seas again with this island as their base. They’ll work on skills, and I’ll do a couple of shipboard ROSs--one for small daily events, another for if they attack a ship. I’m hoping to have as much sailing and piracy as honest labor. Either way, it will take a long time and appropriate community lots to unlock careers and schools and things. Oh, and I’m not tying new sims to community lots; the crew can encounter the native population with an ROS, and once sailing starts happening, ships can find refugees and new ships can come in with new sims looking to live on the island.

I’m just excited I actually finished the setup and got to play with it! The medieval setup took WAY too long and still isn’t done!

A new sim is living in Oscar’s apartments these days. Brenda Jones and Oscar Sudley have been going steady for a while now. She is an avid cook and has recently written a recipe book that focuses entirely on different ways to cook onion. She used to own a restaurant in Riverblossom Hills but customers were so overpowered by the amount of onion she used that they rarely returned and she had to close the business. Brenda heard that Ramiro’s restaurant was looking for chefs and has managed to pick up some part-time work. She isn’t used to living in grimy apartments and plans to help Oscar clean the place up.

(Newcrest has unlocked about 8 positions in the culinary career which is way too many but sort of just happened over time.)

China’s Chang’e-5 orbiter is heading back to the moon

China’s moon-sampling mission spacecraft is continuing its extended mission with its destination currently unknown.

HELSINKI — The Chang’e-5 orbiter module which facilitated China’s complex lunar sample return last year is on its way to the moon following deep space tests.

The orbiter, one of four distinct Chang’e-5 mission spacecraft, delivered a return module containing 1.731 kilograms of lunar samples to Earth Dec. 16 before firing its engines to deep space for an extended mission.

The Chang’e-5 orbiter later successfully entered an intended orbit around Sun-Earth Lagrange point 1, roughly 1.5 million kilometers, in March. There it carried out tests related to orbit control and observations of the Earth and Sun.

New data from satellite trackers now suggests Chang’e-5 has left its orbit around Sun-Earth L1 and is destined for a lunar flyby early September 9 Eastern time.

It was noted that Chang’e-5 may have altered its orbit Aug. 30 based on observations by and data from amateur satellite trackers Daniel Estevez and Scott Tilley and independent astronomy software developer Bill Gray. 

The spacecraft is under the control of the Beijing Aerospace Flight Control Center (BACC), which is responsible for telemetry, tracking and command of spacecraft. BACC has not yet provided an update on the plans for Chang’e-5.

Potential maneuvers such as entering lunar orbit, heading for another Sun-Earth Lagrange point or an Earth-moon Lagrange point depend on how much propellant the orbiter has remaining. Another possibility could be using the flyby to set Chang’e-5 on a trajectory to flyby 469219 Kamoʻoalewa, a quasi-satellite of Earth and the target for China’s 2024 near Earth asteroid sample-return mission.

Jing Peng, deputy chief designer of the Chang’e-5 spacecraft system at the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST), said during the Global Space Exploration (GLEX) conference in St. Petersburg, Russia, in June, that a visit to a planetary body such as Venus may not be possible due to a lack of propellant.

“I don’t think there will be many opportunities for the orbiter to perform more complex orbit maneuvers with other bodies,” he said. “I think it will stay in Lagrange point 1 or the Earth-moon system,” Peng said.

Samples collected by the Chang’e-5 lander from near Mons Rümker in Oceanus Procellarum in the northwest of the near side of the moon are now being analyzed. Applications for sample materials are now open to domestic and international institutions. 

NASA currently has no plans to trade any of its Apollo-era lunar samples with those returned by China’s Chang’e-5 mission, although the agency’s chief scientist Jim Green expressed hope for such an exchange in the future.

China is planning a followup lunar sample-return, Chang’e-6, in 2024 which is nominally part of the joint China-Russia International Lunar Research Station. The French space agency will contribute a science payload to Chang’e-6.

China’s Lunar and Planetary Data System earlier this month provided a rare update on the ongoing Chang’e-4 lunar far side mission. The Yutu-2 rover has now covered roughly 799 metres across 33 completed lunar days since landing in Von Kármán crater in January 2019.

Тут Роберт вспомнил, что у него тоже сегодня день рождения )))

Стремление у него как и у сестры-двойняшки Лаванды - Удовольствия/Богатство. Нравятся безработные глупые блондинки XD Хочет стать архитектором :)

Кэтрин недавно устроилась на работу в ресторан и вот повышение :)

Войдя в дом обнаружила, что компьютер сломан и позвонила в сервис.

Лаванда повела директора в тур по дому. - Вот комната... Она же прихожая, она же гостиная, она же кухня, и столовая тоже... Директор - Надо же!

Лаванда - А это мои брат с сестрой. В шахматы играют. Отличники!

Роберт - Прекрасная погода, не правда ли?

Тут папа вернулся с очередным повышением, быстро прошмыгнул мимо директора и улегся спать.

Наконец-то уселись ужинать. Директор - Это твоя старшая сестра? Наверное в Университет собирается поступать? Лаура молча размазывает картофельное пюре по тарелке и мечтает, чтобы этот зануда поскорее ушел XD

Лаванда - Примииите нас в частную школу! Мечтаем учиться в частной школе!

Лаванда - А то же не успеем оглянуться - хоп и повзрослеем! Хоть одним глазком на частную школу взглянуть!

Директор отчего-то пришел в хорошее расположение духа (наверное мамины запеченные окорочка ему понравились XD) и принял в частную школу Лаванду и Лауру. А заодно и Рауля, Роберта, Леону и Лорену XD

Младшие - Эээээ... А мы думали, в частной школе будут задания полегче!

Без торта и вечеринки подросла самая младшая - Лорена :)

И тут Лаванда выдала желание поступить в частную школу. Всем остальным детям это даже в голову не приходило XD Договорилась на завтра о визите директора и кинулась порядок наводить.

Мама собралась приготовить для директора ужин, спохватились - а продукты закончились. Но доставка приехала быстро ))

Кэтрин запекла окорочка, пусть директор попробует. А то надоела ему поди индейка XD

На следующий день все дети были отправлены кто спать, кто играть в шахматы. Чтобы не мешали Лаванде встречать директора. Кэтрин привела с работы коллегу, а сама с ног валилась, набегалась с подносами. Тоже ушла спать, надеюсь, коллега не помешает директору дом осматривать...

И вот званый гость явился. Лаванда - Батюшка, благословите Здравствуйте, господин директор!

Роберт подал заявление о стипендии :) В Универ он поступать не будет. (Да и никто из этой семьи не будет, егэ сдадут - и замуж/жениться XD)

Но родители хотят, чтобы дети стипендии получили :) Лаванда тоже позвонила.

На физкультуре Лаванда предложила всем сыграть в прыгбол.

Всем игра понравилась, после школы продолжили скакать XD

Скакали, пока Лаура подружке не напомнила про чартер на Твикки. Подружка - Спасибо, Лаура! А то бы мы опоздали! Прихватила вторую подружку и обе ушли.

Леона подготовила доклад о Месопотамии в виде аналогии с играми. Одноклассники были в восторге, а училка сказала, что Лаура недостаточно хорошо разобралась в теме.

Но пятерку Леона все равно получила, бежит хвастаться. Чуть сестру дверью не зашибла. А потому-что нечего усаживаться под дверью уроки делать XD

Коллега Ричарда случайно открыла новый изотоп и даже сама не поняла этого. Ричард мог присвоить открытие себе, но ему не нужна чужая слава. Он посоветовал коллеге обратить внимание на некоторые абзацы ее отчета, и она сама догадалась, что сделала открытие. И поделилась гонораром со своим научным руководителем XD

А Ричарда назначили Изобретателем :)

Лаура очень общительная девочка и придя из школы сразу хватается за телефон.

Одноклассник правда быстро распрощался, а то на чартер на Твикки опоздает.

Средние дети тоже привели друзей, но хоть местных, из игровых семей :)

Роберт увел Марту Дарк играть в шахматы. Рауль вытаскивает из кроватки младшую - Разбудили тебя, малышка? Лорена - Неть! Хочу играть!

А потом подпрыгнула и выросла :)

Brenda and Oscar have been arguing all morning. Is it about the constant mess Oscar creates or is it about how onion-obsessed Brenda seems to be? Who knows. All that’s certain is Zaki went for his jog extra early to get away from it.

Oscar has fixed sinks plenty of times. Maybe he should give Justin some tips... It’s great they’re working together and all but Brenda might as well wait until Oscar finishes before using the mop. She’s on a mission, no puddles allowed!

(That ends a week at the Sudley apartments. Next up are the Nicastro family across the street. I’m rebuilding their house at the moment!)
