I'm stealing the werewolf smg4 <3 /pos
Anyways, the design for SMG4 looks really cool and I hope you decide to continue on making more designs and stuff!
(also hello other person who likes werewolves)
WAAA I'M SO HAPPY YOU LIKE IT!!! I love designing AU's and stuff like that for characters its so much fun, especially when I get to do fun crazy stuff with them so!!! YAAY!!!
Also so glad you like my werewolf SMG4, he's my silly dog, come get sniffed by him.
These are all the hummer species that appear in episodes of Wild Kratts, or at least the animated portion of the show.
Side rant: WHO ON EARTH named the green-breasted mango? The bird’s chest is dark blue or black, depending on the lighting. And what does it even have to do with mangoes? I’ve looked everywhere for answers and I can’t find any.
Mango has gone to the vet to get a potentially fatal blockage removed from his bladder. 🙁 I'm trying not to worry too much about him (and what it'll cost). Hopefully, it'll all be okay!
So, my friend wanted a Crested Gecko, so she got one from the rescue, but she’s terrified of him (as in, “he moves too fast, I don’t want to hurt him”), so he’s staying with me for the foreseeable future.
A lot of people ask me whether I have a photo of a man in my locket. And whenever I tell them that it's the ashes of my late dog, they look at me like 😰. I don't think it's creepy. Shiro was part of my family's life and routine for 15 years. I'm just taking a part of him with me to let him see Guam as well.
Happy birthday, sayang. You would've been 16 years old today and I still can't help but talk about you as if you're simply sleeping in your bed in the other room. I think you would've loved the beaches in Guam.
Mainly because in the presumed eventuality that he’ll bite someone while in his NP form, we can prove he doesn’t have rabies and avoid unnecessary decapitation
Doesn’t even need to be in his NP form to be honest, he needed to be muzzled and held by Nightingale while getting his shot today because he did try to bite the doctor
(He got treats afterwards for this ordeal; I’m not a monster)
I've had Yonderly for 1 month!! And in just one month he's turned COMPLETELY BLUE!!!!! I'm so proud of him! He's happy, healthy, and thriving! Good job fish son 🤍🩵💙
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! After YEARS of waiting I finally decided to take the plunge and get a bird!
So, with that being said…. Welcome home Mango!
Mango is a rescue from the Great Likes Pigeon Rescue (GLPR)! He was found emaciated outside of a college campus and was lucky enough to have someone to pick him up!
Mango arrived on 2/28/24 and has been getting used to his new home and the rest of the family. So far everything seems to be going pretty good, way better than I could have hoped for or expected!
He is super friendly and super curious but seems to be leery of the kids but honestly… I don’t blame him one bit!
Because I plan on being OBNOXIOUS with updates about him I decided to just go ahead and plop down another blog so that my art crap didn’t get buried… lol
May i please request regressor ananas dragon cookie headcanons ? :]
Regressor!Ananas Dragon Cookie Headcanons
As a general baseline, Ananas Dragon Cookie is still as prideful in regression as out of it—if not a little more. Though still reserved and watchful of Cookie's, their much softer when regressed. But do not be fooled, they are still a dragon, and as such, they must be respected!
• Doesn't really have a set age since they mostly pet regress. (Which can also be called age regression cause they just regress into a dragon and they are a dragon).
• Collects lot's of shiny item's and fruit, particularly pineapples. Sometimes steals mango's from the islander's collection basket's when they aren't looking, but doesn't outright steal there food.
• Hangs out with the islander's much more often when regressed, and frequently gets large flower crowns and necklaces. The islander's think their very cute, and are very respectful of their space, which Ananas appreciates.
• Love's to sun bathe! And naps in the sun are always better with friends! Those friend's are the islander's that they won't admit they like. Especially Mango Cookie, he's their favorite.
• Pineapplemur follows them around everywhere, too, even out of regression. But is very clingy when they are because they know they could use the extra loving.
• Very playful when regressed, but also observant and aware. They'll always make space for an islander! After all, they do live their island. And there just so tiny! They have to make sure their cookie's don't get crushed!
• Very protective over the islander's, especially the elderly, disabled and children. They do bite guy's.
• Gets into staring contests with the tourist's to spook them for a laugh. It works everytime.
And here we see one of my favorite tropical hummingbirds, which also happens to be the source of one of my biggest ornithological pet peeves.
First of all, this bird’s chest is BLACK. Or dark blue, depending on the lighting. There is not a single trace of green on Anthracothorax prevostii’s chest.
The genus name, Anthracothorax, even means “coal chest,” referring to the dark color of the feathers.
Second of all, WHY ON EARTH is it called a “mango?” A. prevostii and its close relatives are the only birds to share their name with a fruit (besides kiwis), but unlike the kiwis, it doesn’t make sense.
Kiwi birds were named first, and the brown fuzzy fruit with a green inside was named after the bird.
However, I cannot find any information on why hummingbirds in the genus Anthracothorax are called “mangoes.” They do not resemble the fruit in any way, nor is it their favorite food.
If I could time travel, one of the first things I’d do would be to find whoever gave Anthracothorax prevostii its English name and have a word with them.
