I made this print for myself as a back patch - it’s a battle cry. I won’t sit still and wait for the world, for my world, to get better. I’m taking it back myself like a dandelion growing through concrete. We won’t settle for a broken world anymore!!

<3 Big jacket update <3

After months of figuring out what to make my back patch I realised the perfect inspo was Heavenly’s “riot twee” shirt design! It felt very me (although I did take some creative liberties with the colours)

I’m insanely proud of this! It came out so clean and accurate to the original design and I didn’t even use a stencil for it! Also the lace detail around the edge turned out beautiful too. I’ve only been making patches/DIY properly for a year now but I’ve seen myself improve so quickly and I’m glad this is a representation of how that has culminated.

Until another big idea strikes again I might leave the jacket alone for a little while and focus on some pants I’ve started which has no particular theme - it’ll just be more music I like of multiple styles jumbled together.

I cannot wait until it is cold enough again to wear this to a gig (even though there’s only one-two other people in my scene who fully get my twee(mo) self amongst a sea of punks, hardcore kids, and metalheads)

I bedazzled the vest

I was going to use sequins to make stars around the sun on the back of the vest. But I realized that I have so many star beads for kandi that I might as well use those!

I picked out the beads, Laid them out, and Sewed them on!!

To sew them on, I tied a knot at the end of my thread, pulled it through, added the bead, pulled it back through, tied it off, and cut it off the end!

The next thing I'm going to do is glue down the knots so that they don't come undone. Then I'll cover the inside back panel with a purple fabric I got awhile ago :)

"The Lion and the Unicorn" back patch set. Depicting paired figures from the iconic Lady and the Unicorn tapestries, crafted from printed fabric mounted on red felt backing, highlighted with metallic gold bugle bead trim and finished with decorative stitched edging. (Not washable, sew-on.)

FINALLY returning to my black and white vest after a few months of having it folded in my closet while i work on other stuff—the front is pretty much finished but the back has been blank!

today's lil project! there's a store downtown here that makes bootleg printed tshirts, so i bought this dead by dawn one that didnt have the title logo on it and made my own logo patch. it's not perfect but i like it ✨️ i already have the same jacket with a different patch.. maybe i should sell this one 🤔
