i was sitting here scrolling when my mom started coming down thehallway with facebook reels on full blast so i just freeze as deafening wii shop music ascends down my hallway and a shadowy figure approaches as the bum bum-bum bum badumdumdum loudens. shhe turns her screen towards me to display an old vine paired with the music, and as i am bathed in the ghastly pale light, she notices the collar around my neck. i try to pull at it, but it doesn't come undone, her gaze stays locked on it. she turns and leaves to car's room to show her, and then calls us both into the hallway. i stand there, bright pink collar tightened around my neck, desperately tugging my hoodie over it, but it is no use. she stares with no judgement in her eyes, but a depth of knowledge that frightens me
