“Will you get out of my way?” You shove the tall male to the side playfully as you fasten the collar around your neck. Banda’s eyes met yours and you grinned mischievously. “This place remind you of anything?”
“You’re so funny,” he replies blandly. The prison around you is cold and you’re thankful for the cardigan you’ve kept all these weeks. You follow behind Banda as he walks up the stairs, eyes on the floor as you anticipate your newest game. “Jack of Hearts — what are you expecting?”
Thinking the question over briefly, you speak monotonously, “Russian roulette, probably.”
“I wouldn’t be so lucky.”
Eyes are on you both as you walk into the main hallway. A girl in a blue dress catches your attention, then a sweet looking guy in yellow and overalls. Your eyes drop to the floor again as the automated voice goes over the game and the rules. A subtle nudge against your shoulder catches your attention. Banda speaks without moving, “you and me?”
“That’s what I was planning, doofus.”
Your gaze drifts around the room again as people begin to pair up. Banda wanders off, exploring the area you’re locked in indefinitely. A white hood catches your attention, eyes following down their figure until you’re met with analyzing eyes and a familiar smirk. Your lips part, “Chishiya?”
As if he can hear you, the man tilts his head at you before walking off with his chosen group.
Banda has collected a new person to join your duo — the stranger looks you over before grinning shyly. The hair on the back of your neck stands up, distrust crawling up your spine as you smile back. Meeting Banda’s gaze, you knew he was just as wary.
The killer — because that’s what he was in the other world and this one — slinks up next to you slyly. “See anyone you know?”
“Maybe,” you’re looking around once more, observing the way everyone interacts. Inclining your body slightly to the right, your eyes meet Chishiya’s. “Him. We were… together, in the other world. Something our parents agreed on.”
Banda lets out a mischievous snicker before leaning closer to you. “How cute. And he hasn’t come to say hello? Pity.”
You glare his way, wedging your elbow into the right side of his ribcage. The timer goes off then and you scamper over to an empty cell to give your card suit. As you exit your cell, Chishiya is idling in front of you curiously. He sways before speaking, “you know he’s killed people, right?”
“At this point, I haven’t met anyone here who isn’t a murderer.”
The blond hums before his gaze drifts, landing on something over your right shoulder. You know it’s Banda, looming behind you as he usually does. Chishiya looks to you again and speaks before his group comes to collect him. “I look forward to your survival.”
You find yourself in the cafeteria, stuffing snacks into the pockets of your cardigan for later before grabbing a drink and something to eat right then. Banda is sitting against the wall, staring ahead at Chishiya as you sit beside him. A pack of cookies lands in his lap — Banda doesn’t flinch as he peels the snack open and begins to eat it.
“Do you have to stare?” You mumble. Matsushita hadn’t returned from his bathroom break yet and you found relief in his absence. Another chip is placed in your mouth as you glare at Banda  — he was still staring Chishiya’s way. “You have a crush on him or somethin’?”
Before he could answer, a body is slammed next to yours. Looking down, you see a man sweating and crying as another looms over him menacingly. Banda slides up beside you, whispering a small, “lie to him.” in the man’s ear. You look away from them and see Chishiya looking at you again, judgment clouding his eyes as you don’t speak up against Banda.
You grumble, “already startin’ shit and we just got here.”
“The game had to start sometime.”
As time passes, players dwindle slowly until the number hastens. There are only six of you left now — Chishiya’s partner couldn’t handle the pressure of the games, it seemed. Banda and Matsushita tell you your symbol — “club.” — before Banda breaks away from your group. You can feel the former’s eyes on you as you take sips from your drink, unnerving every inch of your skin. He interrupts the silence with a brutal curveball. “He’s lying to you, Banda. Your symbol is spade.”
“Why would he lie to me?”
“Maybe he thinks you’re the Jack,” Matsushita grins. Then he shrugs and leans against the wall beside you. “Or maybe he’s the Jack and is just trying to get rid of you. Who knows.”
You hum, tilting your head playfully. Of course you don’t believe him — strangely, you hadn’t doubted Banda since you got here. “What a waste. After we stayed allies for so long, he’d choose to get rid of me now?”
Matsushita’s eyes widen briefly at the new information before he snickers. “What a waste, indeed. Guess he doesn't cherish your friendship after all.”
Walking away from the liar, you find yourself alone in the cafeteria. Well, you thought you were alone — Chishiya announced himself by reaching beside you for a pack of crackers. “Running around without your guard dog now, hm?”
“You can't talk,” you respond. “All alone, lingering around here like a ghost. Spooky.”
Your back is to the shelf of food as Chishiya begins to crowd your space. He hums while pouting his bottom lip, looking everywhere but you. “How’d you end up with Banda anyways? You were on your way to meet me.”
“We made a deal,” you shrug. By the tilt of your voice and raise of your eyebrows, Chishiya knows you’re lying. He stands quietly, taking one step closer to you. “Okay, fine. I threatened him and demanded we team up.”
“Of course you threatened a murderer.” Chishiya lets out a laugh just as the five minute warning echoes around the prison. He tugs on the cardigan you’re wearing, eyes softening at the sight of the worn fabric. “Think this is mine.”
“It might be,” you push off of the shelf and side-step the blond. You catch a glimpse of Chishiya’s symbol and are opening your mouth before you can think. “It’s diamond, by the way. Your suit.”
“Yours is club.” You nod in confirmation and it piques Chishiya’s interest. “Someone tell you different?”
“Matsushita tried to say Banda was lying to me. But, Banda knows better,” you glare. “I’ll break his kneecaps if he tries to kill me.”
Chishiya’s quiet laugh seems to echo in the desolate cell. It’s all you can think about — all you can remember as your fingers dance along the knit cardigan you’re wearing. After this — if you survive this game — you want to go home. You want to go back with Chishiya and watch that movie you were supposed to meet at.
It’s no surprise to see Matsushita being cornered by the three others. He did freak you out  — and he tried to get you killed. You eye his frightened expression lifelessly before speaking. “Can we take those snacks downstairs with us? I ran out of food a few days ago.”
— BONUS —
You’re sitting beside Chishiya’s hospital bed as the news begins. Absent-mindedly, you hand him a slice of the fruit you were eating as the news reporter begins to speak. A picture of a convict pops up along with the news story. “...Banda is still missing. We are asking everyone to be cautious and be safe. We’ll have the week’s weather up next.”
“You know…” you narrow your eyes at the picture of the man. Something about him looks familiar — it sends a tingle of awareness through your mind the longer you stare. “I think I could take that guy in a fight.”
Chishiya turns his head to you stiffly, furrowing his eyebrows. “He’s a serial killer, [name].”
You shrug, “I could do it.”

☁️control-sunato banda☁️
a/n: i haven’t been able to find any banda fics so i chose to write one lmao. im currently obsessed w him🤭
warnings: spoilers from S2 i guess (?), mentions of killing
Masterlist
sunato banda x reader
you sighed loudly as you leaned against a wall, watching people enter the prison to also take part in this next game that you joined.
jack of hearts.
the game? prison cell.
the voice from the speakers explained the rules. you had to guess the suit that appeared at the back of the collar that the game made everyone wear before beginning.
you couldn’t see your own suit and after each round the suit would change. you also couldn’t use reflective object to see what suit you had and no violence could be used to kill people. each round would last for an hour and at the end of each round you needed to step into a cell and guess which suit you had. if you guessed wrong, then the game would end for you. your collar would explode and you’d die.
the difficulty of the game was that the game was a test of who you could trust. the jack of hearts had also joined in the game secretly as a participant. and the game would only be cleared once the jack of hearts is killed.
simple right?
not quite.
the game could potentially go on forever if everyone just worked together. however, that was never going to happen. eventually, someone would cave in and lie which would cause a chain reaction of betrayal.
you just hoped the people who had joined the game weren’t all idiots. you wanted to live.
some people chose to work as a big group, while others went into pairs.
you scanned the room, examining each person up and down. you were trying to figure out who best you could trust. and also who could be the jack of hearts.
it was easy to determine which people were more trust worthy than some of the others. however, you were drawn to one person in particular. a guy who was slim, tall and wearing a blue shirt. he looked familiar but you couldn’t quite pinpoint where you’d seen him before.
he was talking to another participant and it looked like they were going to form an alliance. you wanted to join them too, out of all the participants you wanted to study them the most. especially, blue shirt guy as he had a strange but also a strong aura to him.
for a second you debated on how you should play out your personality. would you show them your real personality or your fake one? you needed to keep your guard up. you had to stay in control.
so, your fake one it was.
“let’s be friends” you had overheard the blue shirt guy say as you approached the pair.
“excuse me, i was wondering if i could join and make your pair a trio?” you asked sweetly putting on your innocent face “my name is y/n and i haven’t been able to find myself a partner. i get a little nervous in big groups so i’d prefer a trio”
“yeah of course, we call all tell each other which suit we get with each round! is that okay banda? my name is matsushita by the way” the one who paired up with who you now knew as banda said with a small smile.
“why not? we can all be friends” banda smirked eyeing you up and down.
“we can start with you matsushita. if you turn around we can tell you your suit” you smiled at him and he nodded before turning around.
you briefly looked at banda who without hesitation told matsushita his suit.
“it’s spade” he said and you nodded in agreement.
“yes you got spade” you confirmed and matsushita bowed as a thank you.
“we can do banda next” matsushita suggested and banda hummed in agreement before turning around.
“your suit is club” you told him and matsushita confirmed it.
“turn around” banda said after turning around to face you.
keeping up your act you acted surprised at his monotone voice as he told you what to do.
you brushed your hair out the way and banda read what suit you had.
“heart” he said and once matsushita confirmed it you thanked them both.
it would’ve been a lie if you said you weren’t a teeny bit nervous about the first round. you still didn’t know if you could fully trust the pair that you had joined.
however, after you made it through the first round, you started to ease up.
you knew you couldn’t fully trust both of them but for now staying with them was the best move considering at any moment someone could buckle and start killing people.
banda and matsushita were talking about it. the only way the game would start getting anywhere is if the jack of hearts starting killing people or if someone afraid of getting killed, starts lying to kill other people. until that starts happening, everyone would be stuck in this prison forever.
“what’s your problem? hurry up and tell me, fucker!” another participant yelled as he threw his ‘partner’ on the floor.
in an instant you went over to help him up, banda followed aswell.
“are you okay?” you asked and the guy nodded.
banda came from behind and began to help the guy up so you decided to step back a bit.
“tell him ‘club’” banda whispered and you just about managed to hear him.
without reacting you moved back to where you originally stood.
you were impressed but you didn’t let it show. that was smart move from banda to get things moving.
the game had only just begun.
as you expected, people began to buckle under pressure after the first person died.
as each round went on, more and more people began to die.
‘friends’ turning on ‘friends’.
you also began to notice different patterns from certain participants. people were generally easy to read, it was all about keeping a close eye on the small details.
you had also made a friend. his name was chishiya and when you weren’t with your ‘teammates’ you were with him discussing different possibilities. you both understood each other well and around him you felt as though you didn’t need hide your real personality.
“you can’t be good hearted in these games. you have to play your cards right in order to win. being a part of this world gave me control and i intend to keep it that way. the jack of hearts will slip up somewhere and that’s when i’ll catch them out” you told chishiya as he nodded his head.
“im impressed, you aren’t who i thought you’d be” he commented with a chuckle and you sent him a quick smile before walking off to avoid your ‘teammates’ seeing you with chishiya.
“what shall i get?” you mumbled to yourself as you looked at the snack selection in front of you. the area was quiet and you were the only one in there.
your hand reached for a pack of crackers and as you grabbed it, you felt someones presence behind you.
when you turned around you pretended to be shocked and jumped back.
“you scared me!” you put your free hand over your heart as you let out a fake laugh “did you need me to tell you your suit?”
as you waited for his answer you kept the fake smile plastered on your face.
“you’re still playing that game y/n?” banda sighed with an evil look in his eyes “it’s been 10 hours..don’t you get tired?”
“huh? what do you mean?” you then tried your best to keep the smile on your face.
“i know it’s all fake. i could see right through you from the start. especially when you heard me tell that guy to kill the bully. you acted like you didn’t hear me tell him but, i know you did. you know, there aren’t many people who’d approach someone like me” he continued and you eyed his hands as he pulled out a blade.
he held the blade to your side and you finally let your natural personality show.
“so what? you think im the jack of hearts?” your smile dropped and you looked him dead in the eye.
“you know what i think? you’re brave. for you to willingly join a murderer in a game like this…it confirms that you’re not innocent” he smirked and pressed the blade to cause some pressure on the side of the body where he held it.
a lightbulb went off in your head and you finally realised why banda looked so familiar. he was on tv and in the paper for killing 4 women. he was supposed to be serving a life sentence, yet here he was in this alternate universe. everything about his murders was calculated, he was the one in control.
“unbelievable, you’re THE sunato banda” you let out a laugh followed by a sigh “i saw you on tv, you’re not as bad and scary as they made you out to be..i’ll admit though that you are harder to read”
“tell me. why are you participating in the games in this land? until now, i haven’t been in a land as beautiful as this one” banda pulled the blade away and held it up to your cheek instead.
“control. in this world, im in control of everything and i intend to keep it that way. you and i both know that if you wanted to use that blade on me, you would’ve done so already” you lifted your hand and pushed his arm away so that the blade wasn’t near your cheek.
banda smirked and stepped backwards.
“you and i are quite similar” his eyes flicked between your eyes and lips.
“i think so too” you leaned in, lips almost touching his ear as you whispered “except, that im the one who’s in control”
without a second thought, you brought your hand to cup the side of his face and moved your lips towards his. you then closed the gap and pressed them onto his. surprisingly, banda reciprocated the kiss and his hands moved to your waist where he held you in place.
once you both pulled away from the kiss, banda smugly grinned, the grip on your waist tightening slightly.
“if i were you i wouldn’t be so sure that you’re the one in control” his voice was low and he then let go of your waist with some force before silently walking away and exiting the room.
had you ever been the one in control around him?

Laughter | Banda Sunato
Tumblr media
Pairing: Banda Sunato x Fem!Reader
Author's note: Fine, *aggressively opens laptop* I'll just write one myself then. Also, first fic ever so uh yeah. That's how desperate I am lol. Edit: Yeah I edited it a bit because I was sleepdeprived when I wrote/posted this and got rid of horrible spelling mistakes :)
Word count: 1.5k
Warnings: Weird relationship (it's Banda, a serial killer and manipulative piece of shit), Violence? (because you know, it's aib?), A mention of wanting to end it all, potential spelling/grammar mistakes?
Summary: Banda Sunato takes interest in a girl he meets during a game and is captivated by her laughter
__________________________________
As soon as the 20 minute timer went off, most participant immediately scrambled to get away from the open playground and ran straight into the abandoned school to find a spot to hide from the seeker who’d be released in a one minute.
Banda Sunato hadn’t moved an inch and was instead just looking around. His eyes followed the hurrying people, an eerie smile on his face. He appeared rather amused. Content even.
You were also still standing in out in the open, right behind him and staring at the back of his blood stained shirt. “Are you not going to hide mister?" You asked. "Do you want to die?”
He turned around, no surprise visible on his face. He stared at you as if he was analyzing your face. “What about yourself?”
You flashed him a smile. “I’m still thinking about a good hiding spot.”
"I wasn't referring to that." When you tilted you head he added, "do you want to die?"
You looked around you, taking in your surroundings before looking down at you phone. It read 19:22 and was counting down. "I still have so much to do, I won't die."
Banda stared at you intently and looked you up and down. You were dressed in a white summer dress which looked a little bit too clean for this world, not a spot of dirt or blood to be found. You looked very young, young enough to still remember high school infrastructure.
"Well," he started, switching topics again, “Surely someone like you knows a good hiding spot. I'd say most students that attend highschool know the place through and through, don't they?”
You hummed in response. “Home schooled.”
Banda didn’t respond or gave any sign which you would interpret as disinterest, if not for his piercing gaze. It was starting to creep you out, but you enjoyed talking to someone as you hadn't had the opportunity to make new friends in the borderlands.
“You know, it’s my first time in a school building, so I’m actually a bit excited. Well, who knows, maybe I can explore this place after the game is over, right?” You wanted to say more, but then the school bell rang, indicating that the seeker was on the move. Even though you looked around cautiously, Banda couldn’t spot any sign of actual fear on your face. As if you knew you were getting out of here alive.
“Well then,” you said with a nod and you skipped off.
He watched you leave towards the gym building. When he heard a gun shot he decided to take it as a sign that he should probably also get moving.
He followed you in the direction of the gym, but stayed behind the square columns in front of the building, covered by shadows where he knew he was safe. He looked down at his dark green button up shirt, ripped and covered in blood. It sure worked fine as camouflage.
He could oversee the entire playground from his position, including the main entrance to the school from where he could hear gunshots. It didn't take long for the seeker to exit the school building and cross the playground.
Banda moved to the other side of a column, blocking himself from the seeker's sight. This would be easy, he thought to himself. He would simply rotate around the columns until the game was over.
Well, it was only a two of clubs after all.
The seeker entered the gym and for a second it was absolutely quiet. Banda smirked. That girl is as good as dead, he thought. And when hearing the gunshots he almost patted himself on the back for his accurate prediction, but he was stopped when he heard you laughing as if you were enjoying yourself.
He froze, completely captivated by the sound. It had been a while since he'd heard such carefree laughter. What an addictive sound. How interesting. He smiled, almost wickedly.
There was a loud crash and more shots were fired before the doors opened and slammed against the wall, revealing you.
You had tried to hide in all the way up in the huge draped curtains when your hand accidentally slipped, moving the entire curtain, which had given away your hiding spot.
You were met with a barrage of bullets that miraculously didn't hit you. As always, luck is on your side, you thought.
The bullets had however apparantly hit whatever it was that supported the heavy curtains and you fell down on top of the seeker. You quickly rolled off while he fought with the curtains, trying to get out from underneath it while also shooting around randomly.
You ran out giggling. From the corner of your eye, you saw the man you were talking to before and you stopped for a second to wave at him before hiding behind the doors that you had just kicked open.
A minute later the seeker walked out and went to look for other victims. You managed to slip back into the gym unnoticed.
The rest of the game was uneventful. There were two other incidents where gunshots were heard, but when the participants walked off the school grounds after clearing the game, it seemed as if everyone made it, as far as you could recall. Your facial recognition memory wasn't awesome.
"You seem familiar."
You turned around in surprise at his sudden voice behind you. "I highly doubt that." You said.
"What's your name?"
"You seem familiar too, what's yours?" You replied, ignoring his question.
"I asked first," he responded.
You hummed. "And I don't give my name out to strangers, so it seems as if we're at an impasse." You looked at him expectantly. When he didn't appear to have any intention of answering, you turned to leave.
"Banda Sunato." It stopped you in your tracks.
Did you know him? Of course. What else is there to do when you're isolated in your house, except read books and listen to true crime podcasts? Were you scared of him? A little, but you had your own fair share of victims since arriving in the borderlands. As did everyone here.
You gave him your name. Oh how easy you were, he thought. He could definitely charm his way to you.
"Your last name, is it the same as the former prime minister?" He asked. "I thought his child died." He commented when you hummed in acknowledgement.
"Me and my mother were shot during one of his campaigns. They managed to save me, but my father got paranoid and kept me away from, well, everything ever since." Your expression fell and looked past Banda into the distance as you recalled your dull life.
"So now you enjoy the freedom you have. You're no longer locked away, and can go wherever you please. There are no rules here, so you're discovering the world for yourself, instead of through media. It's why you're walking around with curiosity instead of falling into despair, and also why you're the only one in the game who was enjoying themselves." Banda's voice was dangerously low and his eyes dark as he scanned your face.
"I bet your isolation messed with your mind. You've probably thought of ending it all, so you aren't scared at the prospect of dying, right." He concluded for you.
You didn't answer him. Partially annoyed that he thought he was smart enough to make assumptions as if he knew you, and also annoyed because he wasn't wrong.
He had stepped closer to you during his analysis and you fought the urge to put a step back to get him out of your personal space.
"I like that." He finished. His face hovering close to yours.
You nervously laughed. "So I won't be your fifth victim then?"
Banda's smile widened as if you said something funny. "You've caught my attention. Let's be partners."
"I don't know, what's your policy on killing partners?" You asked, finding the situation ridiculous.
He leaned closer to you and you could feel his breath on your cheek. "If you pledge yourself to me, I'll show you the beauty of this world." He spoke lowly.
Now that interested you.
You opened your mouth to answer when he closed the small gap between you two, pressing his lips to yours, hand wrapping around the back of your neck, thumb against your pulse.
You've never been kissed before, but found yourself pushing back against him, grabbing onto his shirt, not lettiing go even after the kiss ended.
"Oh you meant that kind of partner." You giggled when you broke apart.
Then your giggling started to grow into a laughing fit, because how could you not if you stopped to think about the situation. You just had your first kiss with a serial killer stranger whom you just met 25 minutes ago in a life or death game in an abandoned world.
Banda relished in the sound of you, corners of his mouth curling up in satisfaction. Gotcha, he thought.
When you managed to subdue your giggles and he didn't move or say anything else, you decided to go and start walking towards your appartment with him in tow.
"Your shirt is ripped and covered in dirt and blood." You said while wiping away the blood on your hands from grabbing his shirt.
You flashed him a smile. "Luckily for you, I have a clean light blue button up shirt at home."

Banda x Reader
A/N: Here is another Banda fic, enjoy!
Summary: Banda was a known serial killer, yet you still loved him....why could that be?
Warning: Blood, violence, accident, murder.... it’s Borderland so...past is written in italic
Word count: 5,7k
________________________________________________________________
‘Probation’; the word was still echoing in his mind like a throbbing headache. After, hearing it, time stopped for him. Although minutes were passing by, he stayed stuck. He was locked in an invisible prison forced to stare at the other side of the coin. While for him the word ‘probation’ cut deep into his still-beating heart, those who did not deserve to hear it, were overjoyed. That word had awoken satisfaction and relief in those who were supposed to be caged like wild beasts. Those who were supposed to spend the rest of their life in remorse and full of regret were given back the opportunity to live freely and to forget the one they have hurt.
Banda could not take it. The judgment was not a fair one. His fingers curled into a tight fist almost ready to bleed. His focus stayed on smiling faces which could not stop laughing while his nails dug deeper into the skin. He has never believed in justice, yet he was deeply disappointed and furious.
For a long while, nights weren’t as dark as they used to be, as long as you were by his side. He promised you that he will be the best man he could be for you, and you promised never to stop smiling for him. Unfortunately, you were the first one to break the promise. You were the first one to do so, and now it was time for him to do the same. There was nothing left to hold him back from his true nature. Banda could freely let anger swallow him whole. Yet, before he could let his true nature reach the surface, for the first time in his life, Banda felt wetness on his cheeks.
Banda Sunato has never cried before; not even when you showed him how it feels not to be alone anymore, or when you smiled at him while covered in bruises telling him how you felt about him after falling multiple times on the ice.
Witnessing those who hurt you was ripping him from within. They were happy after what they had done, there were no consequences they will have to endure and not even one person was held accountable for the hideous crime. The whole process was rushed and evidence was tempered. The victim became an irresponsible drinker and perpetrators were turned into casualties of your ‘inappropriate behavior’. Banda could scoff at their accusation. You were the most responsible person he had ever met. You did not fall on the road in the dark while drunk, you were run over while crossing the street on your way to meet him. When you didn’t arrive, Banda got worried and went to look for you, only to find you half dead on the side of the road. He could still remember how cold your body was and how your breathing could be hardly noticed. The crimson was smeared over your features and he could barely recognize you in that state.
After experiencing the trauma of finding you half dead, Banda had to make them pay. He had to revenge the one who was still breathing thanks to a tube stuck deep into the bruised throat; the one whose brain activity was miles below normal. You had died multiple times, you were even declared dead once, yet you kept coming back.
Banda only left your side when it was necessary, until the moment he knew that perhaps he will never see you again.
After leaving the courtroom, Banda headed straight to you. He made a decision on his way to the hospital. He was going to revenge, no matter what it does to him. He was not scared of being hurt or locked away. There was no fear in him for his well-being, he only cared about yours.
He walked slower than usual as if he was dragging the time. Almost as if he was trying to prolong the moment until he will have to say his goodbyes. It hurt his heart that he will leave your side, but it also filled him with an uneasy feeling because of which he hated himself; he was almost glad that he will no longer be in presence of your bruised and broken body which was tugging on his heartstrings.
His nose was filled with the smell of disinfectants and death. Wherever he looked he could notice glimpses of depressing images and lost hope. To others, he probably looked just like that; a broken man with no faith left. His shoulders were slumped and his head lowered which was the complete opposite of his usual self. He was more than sure that if his former self was to see him like that it would be disgusted at the sight of a pathetic man, but he couldn’t care less about that. He loved himself more when he was with you and most importantly he loved you so much that you became his everything.
Yet instead of remembering your smile, the image of you lying on the hospital bed with machines beeping around you was stuck in his head. But for a moment, when stern voices got louder, and panicked screams filled the space, Banda was pushed to the side. The woman, which was placed two doors from your room, was quickly moved past him with blood dripping onto the ground following the path of gurney wheels. Just a week ago, your body was in a similar predicament.
Banda was pulled out of his thoughts after a door near him was opened and then quickly closed. He immediately recognized that your doors were moved so he rushed there hoping for some good news. But when he arrived, everything was the same as he left it.
“Mr. Banda,” the nurse greeted him before approaching your side. She gently tugged on your sheets fixing the loose corners.
“Are there any changes?” he asked hopefully.
The disappointment was evident on the nurse’s face. Although she had years of experience she was yet to perfect her poker face. She has never been good at masking her own emotions. She pressed her lips together stretching wrinkles on her aged skin. “Unfortunately not…”
“Another doctor left her room just a moment ago,” Banda pointed out.
“Mr. Banda her doctor is not on the call, I do not know who you are referring to.” The nurse stated hiding the truth. She knew who came to see you, but nothing good would have come from Banda meeting the man who just left. So before Banda could question her, she excused herself and left the young man to keep you company.
Sunato felt slightly uncomfortable which has become a rare occurrence since he got to know you. It took him a few minutes to finally sit next to your side. With shaky movements, his fingers curled around yours. He was reluctant to even hold your hand scared that it would hurt your fragile body.
“I should be the one lying there; I should have never let you stay by my side.” Sunato took a deep breath before continuing. “You would have been happy if it weren’t for me. I know that now it’s too late, but I will release you from my presence and hopefully bring you peace.”
Getting back to his feet, he leaned closer to your body. He left a soft kiss on your forehead wishing for your eyelashes to flutter just like they used to when he would do so.
Unfortunately, nothing happened. There was no reaction to his touch or his words and he could only blame himself. But while many people would not be able to do something about it, he could. He could punish those he deemed responsible.
Not long after his visit, Banda killed the woman who drove under the influence and who ran you over, he also killed the one who was in the passenger seat and decided not to stop and check on you, if they had, you would have already been awake by now.
Just like Banda had thought, there were plenty of people involved in the trial, as the perpetrator was a daughter of a rich and influential man. Banda could understand him doing everything to keep her away from prison, but that man could not keep her away from death. He decided to also punish those who should’ve been unbiased, and that was the prosecutor who tempered with evidence and the one who should’ve been an epitome of justice; the judge. He left the judge for his final victim and he killed her at his trial. Like a madman, he pierced her throat with a pencil.
Banda ended up in prison on death row never disclosing the reason behind his actions or being remorseful for it. He didn’t regret killing, but he did regret leaving you completely alone. He had been slightly impulsive not thinking clearly about how it would affect you.
Twenty-three months passed by and Banda kept calling the hospital. He would call once a day at the same time. Most of his calls would be unanswered as the nurses already knew who was calling. They couldn’t disclose any information about your condition as he refused to introduce himself not wanting them to tie you with a serial killer. They mostly avoided his calls, rare were days when to him an unknown nurse would pick up and say that your condition has not changed. Yet what happened after almost two long years shook him to the core. A male voice answered the phone telling him to stop disturbing the hospital staff as there were no reasons left for that anymore. Banda listened to the words telling him that your heart has stopped three times in the past two weeks and that it was expected for it to completely stop in the next few days. There was no malice in the voice, just facts, but Banda could not accept them. He decided to see you no matter what he had to do to get to you. But nobody could have thought that after escaping prison he will be forced to experience something that will take him even further away from the person you have grown to love.
________________________________________________________________
Fifteen days and fourteen nights you have spent in seemingly an empty city screaming for Sunato. Yet no matter how loud your voice rose, or how scratched your throat got, you never received any kind of response; not from him or anybody else. It became a frustrating living nightmare from which you could not wake up. Each day, a little bit of hope died within you. You weren’t sure where you were, or what was needed to do to return safely home; to Sunato'’s arms, but you wished to arrive there sooner than later.
You moved through the unusually quiet city. You were no fan of loud voices, but you couldn’t get used to Tokyo in absolute silence. It was a rather bizarre thing to witness.
Your steps became slower and your will to live slowly decreased with every passing moment. You dragged your feet to the only place that was vivid in your memory. It was not a special place to you, to many it would evoke emotions, but you were indifferent about it. You were a bit confused about it, but there was nobody who would help you understand.
To your misfortune, elevators did not work so you had to climb up the stairs. It became obvious that it was difficult for you to do so. After reaching the fifth floor you had to stop to catch your breath. You haven’t eaten for a few days and your last meal had been unsatisfying. You were losing strength and the ability to think properly. Sleep also didn’t visit often, no matter how hard you tried to conjure it.
Your fingers wrapped around the metal railing helping yourself up, after resting for a few moments. Your legs were tired and you could barely hold yourself up, but you had to endure it for a little longer as there were three more floors between you and your goal.
It took you a long while to finally reach it but when you did, it felt underwhelming. As you stood in front of an empty hospital bed you could do nothing but let out a long breath. The sheets were unmade and the bedside table was empty. There was nothing personal there, but you could remember it as clearly. You woke up in that bed after falling asleep in the street while struggling to breathe; you were choking on your blood while coldness settled in your bones. But all of that was fast to disappear after warmth embraced you when you heard Sunato’s voice. Then you knew that you were safe and you could let yourself close your eyes. Now, while standing in front of the lonely bed, you were regretting your decision as you were no longer in Sunato’s presence.
You searched for him wherever you thought he could be. You ran to the home you shared with him only to find no trace of the man you love, it seemed abandoned. It was dusty and stale and so lonesome.   You couldn’t stay there; you couldn’t sleep there so you had to return to the place where you were unlucky enough to open your eyes.
It took you only four more steps for you to settle onto the harsh covers. Your feet stayed firmly on the ground and your gaze stayed on them. There was nothing particular on your shoes to focus on yet it didn’t waver. You could only stare at the dried splashes of mud and occasional narrow line of dirt on them. Those shoes were almost new, yet they looked nothing like that after walking for so long and through so many obstacles. You could only hope that they won’t rip apart before you find your way back to where you came from. But those shoes weren’t the only ones on which you were placing leftover pieces of what used to be hope. You wished for your legs to carry you back, and for them to do so you had to stay healthy which was proven to be a difficult task for you. Even when you found something to eat, you could barely eat it without feeling nauseated. Your strength was at the bare minimum and stress was only worsening everything for you.  Worries plagued your mind not letting you sleep and to restore your energy. So you were more a dead man walking than a threat to anyone and soon you came to find out that although it mattered to anyone else, it made no difference to you.
________________________________________________________________
Hell; that was the first association that found its way into Banda’s mind. He wouldn’t even use it for prison as he knew how to take care of himself and how to control those around him, and while there, he was more than certain of your whereabouts. And your location was what made the whole experience in Borderland for Banda difficult. He couldn't have let out a breath of relief, to even enjoy what would bring him satisfaction without knowing that you were alright. At first, he thought that he indeed was in the afterlife where he was punished to wander in the world where he will never meet you again. He could laugh at that as the one who created it, knew more than well how to hit him where it hurts. Still, he didn’t want to jump to conclusions and he continued with the same agenda he had back in the world he was a prisoner; actually, a man who has escaped prison to visit you.
Banda ran up the stairs hoping and praying although he had no religion or beliefs. He was desperate for you to be there, he was ready to see you lying in your hospital bed only to find it empty.
Banda let out a sigh not believing his eyes. He hit his fist against the wall cursing. He couldn’t process how you weren’t there; if it were the normal world it would have probably meant that you were dead, but he had no clue what it could mean in a world where barely anyone was present and the whole town almost completely abandoned. He approached your bed with a sad smile. He sat down gripping the covers between his fingers. His eyes closed while trying to calm down only to notice it; the lingering scent on the material he was gripping. He pulled it closer to his nose and he could smell it; your scent. It was proof that you had to be close by although the presence was no longer strong.
Yet as days went by, and after he learned more about the world he was in Banda was grateful that he has not witnessed your existence in the Borderland. He was relieved that you were not a player in any of the games he has played, and he played every single one he stumbled upon no matter how many days he had on his visa. He was still searching for you although not wanting to find you there. Banda knew you deep to the core; he knew exactly who you were. He has always been good at reading people, yet he never needed to read you as you were always honest and never lied. You believed that there were no bad or good people, but that there were simply people who either do good or bad deeds and no matter how similar that sounded, you always strongly argued that there is a difference and if you were there with him you would be proven right and it made his heart heavy.
Nevertheless, Banda hoped that you will never witness the carnage and the animalistic urges crawling in the Borderland as he was aware that you were not made for that kind of world. He knew that if you had to choose either to kill or be killed that you would choose the latter. He would have been surprised if he were to find out that you had been in the Borderland for so long that you had seen kings rise and fall.
________________________________________________________________
Emptiness; you had embraced it since living in the Borderland. You had met people here and there but soon found out that everyone is just trying to survive and that they will always point the gun to your head. You felt uncomfortable among people, more than in the world you called home. You watched them with sadness and pain growing in your heart. Because of one simple reason; you were hurt by the animalistic behavior. Unfortunately, one small piece of it reminded you of Sunato. You were well aware of how smart he was and also that he could be quite sadistic at least when you met him for the first time. There was nothing that could explain to you why he was never like that to you, or why he ignored that side of himself for you, but you were glad that he did. You were at peace knowing that he was trying to be the best version of himself. You didn’t want him to change, but just to try to stay on the right side of the law and to be a person with good morals.
To you, Sunato was the only person keeping you alive. He was the only one urging your heart to beat and keeping your eyes open. Even when the walls were gray around your body, you could picture Banda leaning against the harsh surface smirking at you. While being locked in a solitary, he was the one to bring you comfort. You waited for hours for the game to end after entering it on accident.
After you heard the doors opening and someone being dragged away, you walked outside only to come face to face with a blond-haired man.
“Ohhh…” you let out. Your eyes were wide as you stared at him. You pressed your lips into a thin line before turning around and heading back to the solitary but you were stopped.
“Who are you?” Chishiya questioned
You let out a breath knowing very well that it was too late for you to run away. “I…” you started but didn’t know what to say. You turned around to face him again not feeling comfortable having your back facing a stranger. Your eyes locked and you were pleasantly surprised as you noticed something strange in his. You were more than sure that he recognized you. “You know me?!” you let it out before you could stop yourself. There was a small hint of hope noticeable in your voice. Your fingers fidgeted while you waited for his answer.
Chishiya recognized you after observing your face. He wasn’t completely sure if he was right as it was confusing. He remembered the day when he abandoned you as a doctor. He has done something that nobody should’ve had. He was supposed to be the one operating on you, but the higher-ups decided that someone more important needed his expertise. Because of his lack of defiance, your surgery was a failure, and you had to go under another one, which Chishiya performed, however, it was useless as it was too late. And to make matters even worse Chishiya never memorized your name the first time, then he decided not to see you as a person, and shortly after you became one of his biggest mistakes and regrets. He visited your room exactly seven times in the early months of your arrival and three of those times he brought you back to life. He wasn’t sure why he was doing that; either he didn’t want you to die, or he didn’t want to blame himself for your death. Yet, somehow he was sure that it wasn't the latter. He grew to care for someone who seemed abandoned in their times of need. He could only remember flowers in the room when you were admitted, but as time grew, they withered. Your room became bare and no one ever visited. Chishiya was surprised to find out about phone calls that were meant for you. He was rather rattled when he answered the phone because you were abandoned, with no one by your side and although he had witnessed those kinds of patients before, he cared more now as it was partially his fault.
“Do you know me?” you repeated slightly on the edge. Your body was leaning in his direction with no patience left in it.
“Yes,” Chishiya let out. “You died on my table.”
You laughed at his statement as his words couldn’t be true. Your reaction was an honest one and you realized a moment later that so was his statement.  Because of it and his sincerity your eyes got watery as you could somehow feel it, almost like you could remember it. “I’m not dead,” you said refusing to believe him.
“That was the first of many times when your heart has stopped,” Chishiya explained while still trying to understand what was happening.
You looked at him with tears sliding down your cheeks. “So you are not a grim reaper…”
Chishiya couldn’t stop himself from snorting at your whisper. He couldn’t understand why would you associate him with them when there were no similarities or any connections except the major one; death.
“Who are you here?” you questioned. There were flashes of your memory where a man with blond almost white hair stood in front of you. You never saw his face, but you concluded that he truly looked like the man who was now standing in front of you. Then, you thought that the man was the one who came to take you to the afterlife, but you were wrong.
Chishiya shrugged, he was reluctant in giving you answers as this could’ve been another game as since the final phase began the rules weren’t as clear as they used to be.
“You are still a player, aren’t you?” you questioned more than sure of his role in the game after he stayed quiet for far too long
“What does ‘still’ mean?” Chishiya asked.
You smiled for the first time in a long time. “I guess I was right.”
“What does it mean?” Chishiya repeated. He tilted his head glaring at you.
“After you beat the face cards, you either leave or become a citizen,” you explained what you gathered over your time in the Borderland.
“Why would anyone stay here?” Chishiya questioned out loud, although aware of the obvious.
“Freedom,” you whispered while remembering one person whom you had met in the Borderlands and who had left a positive impression on you.
“No morals, no consequences.”
“You should’ve met Kyuma, he was nice, although a king,” you said with a sad smile because you witnessed his blimp falling. He was someone you wished you had known before you entered the world you loathed.
Chishiya stepped away from you. It seemed that you were close to a king and were present during a deadly game and didn’t die although it would’ve been impossible for you to simply guess the symbols every single time before the time was up.
“I’m not a queen…” you admitted not even knowing why. But you got lonely and sad in that place. If you take only the previous hours of your life, you spent them completely alone while guessing what was on your collar, you tried to cheat yet not even once any danger came close to you. It was like that since the beginning, even if another player would get close to killing you, you would wake up where you opened your eyes for the first time. “I’m not a player…” you continued not completely sure in your statement. “I guess I am a citizen…?”
“How can you not know?”
“After first face cards had fallen, everyone was asked if they want to leave or stay…” you stopped for a moment remembering it vividly. You were so hopeful and happy that you were going to see Sunato again. Yet it never happened. “I wanted to leave, but they didn’t let me…” you were crying again. “Another fell, again I chose to leave…You see, I am not a player, but can’t be a citizen either, as I have no choice.”
Chishiya stayed silent. He was confused and your next confession and worry got him stunned as he realized what he should have noticed before.
“You were my doctor, you said that right?” you waited for him to nod before continuing. “There was only one visitor, was he well?”
Chishiya never witnessed any visitor in your room and his silence spoke volumes.
“You didn’t see him, but he was there, I know Sunato came to see me.” You stated as a matter of fact as you trusted him.
“Banda Sunato?” Chishiya let out not believing. He was more than sure that there were more people named Sunato in Tokyo, yet somehow it seemed right to make such a guess, although it would’ve been a great coincidence. He never talked to you or knew if you were a good person, but he knew that nobody could deserve to be with someone like Banda Sunato. But at least he knew that Banda has killed after you were admitted to the hospital and you weren’t present to be hurt by it.
“You met him?” you were relieved although you didn’t doubt it.
Chishiya finally connected that Banda was the man with whom he had spoken all those months ago. However, after meeting him in the game it seemed as if those were two completely different people.
“Shouldn’t you focus on leaving this game?” Chishiya tried to change the subject as well as to get you out of the building so that you wouldn’t come face to face with a serial killer you seemed to be missing.
“I played today, I couldn’t see my collar, I cheated, and nothing…”
“You didn’t play,” Chishiya told you making you confused. “Your picture wasn’t on the monitor; you weren’t one of the players.”
“Ohh…” you let out deflated. You lowered your head moving towards the stairs to leave. Somehow all the energy got drained out of your body and heaviness settled upon you. You were completely losing hope and although you didn’t want to be lonely you had to be alone at the moment. “I wish you all the luck,” you offered him a small smile along with your sincere words.
“I am Chi-”
You interrupted him as it would hurt less. “It is better if I do not know. I wish for you to safely return home.”
Chishiya stayed silent as you slowly disappeared down the stairs. After hearing your words Chishiya was more than relieved that you haven’t met Banda. Just from your words, he could hear truthfulness and actual care for someone who was practically a stranger to you.
________________________________________________________________
To anyone looking from the outside, you and Sunato would seem like two people with no connections but who were merely walking at the same pace. You were side by side yet nothing was tying you together at least that was what anybody witnessing you two would’ve thought. But even what was on the surface could make a different statement.
Neither you nor Sunato had a desire for unwanted attention; you two were not into PDA or grand romantic gestures which were mostly used just to be thrown into other people’s faces. However, it didn’t mean that there was no romance, care, or love between you two. It all came down to little things, how Banda was wearing fluffy pairs of glows which were too small for him because you gave him an extra pair that you found in your bag, or the gray hat, Sunato’s favorite, which was now keeping your head warm. Also, his wallet was in your coat pocket as he has forgotten to tell you that yesterday, both of his pockets broke at the seams. There was also one eye-catching thing and that would be your Pokemon backpack carried by Sunato which was filled with two thermoses with hot drinks and a few snacks.
Although rare were people who knew about your relationship neither Sunato nor you would be offended by anyone assuming anything else, as you just didn’t care. What you two had started many years ago and since then you only had each other and you were more than satisfied with that.
A sudden cough was what made Sunato stop in his steps in the middle of the sidewalk. Some passers cursed him because he was in the way. He gripped your forearm making you face him. He was quick to remove the borrowed glow before placing his palm on your forehead. He scrunched his nose at the warmth radiating from your head.
“Do you feel well?” Sunato question. He noticed that you were startled by your sickness as you hadn’t noticed anything in the morning.
“I’m just a bit cold, but that’s normal…” you shrugged because you didn’t feel ill.
“We should go back,” Sunato suggested and you agreed with him as it was better to be safe than sorry. There were plenty of days ahead of you to go to the park and make a snowman as winter just started. And honestly, you had nothing against going home and being taken care of and cuddling with Sunato.
Sunato put the glow back on before slowly intertwining your fingers with his. It was your way to bring comfort to each other and at the moment he was terrified of you getting sicker. It seemed that he was more concerned than you were. And that was one of many reasons why your heart was beating for him. He was your person, your other half and you were more than sure that nothing will ever come between you two.
________________________________________________________________
Banda felt slightly conflicted. He wasn’t sure if he should go back home. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to see you, he wanted that the most in the world, but he wasn’t sure if you would ever be able to accept what he had done since you closed your eyes.
He didn’t see himself as a good man, he knew that he wasn’t by any standards, yet he still wanted to be with you. He was selfish for it, but he couldn’t lie to himself or you. He moved slowly through the street filled with a few people expressing their wishes. Not even one of theirs caused any reaction in him; there was not even one single piece of his soul interested in others.
He knew what he had to do and what he wanted to do no matter the consequences. It didn’t matter if you reject him, or tell him that you are disgusted with him; he just needed to know that you were safe. So, he said what to him, the only and obvious choice was.
“I want t-”
“Forever a citizen…” your voice came out filled with sadness and defeat.
To Sunato your voice was like a beckon in the middle of a dark ocean. He moved with ease to your body before saying the words he thought he would never say. Yet he chose to stay so that his fate could once again be intertwined with yours.
He stayed quiet while coming closer to your form. He had no words to say, so with only a small smile to offer, Sunato intertwined his fingers with yours without even facing you.
You were startled by the sudden touch. During your time in the Borderland, you haven’t even shaken anyone’s hand let alone hugged them. So feeling someone else’s warmth surprised you, mostly because you didn’t want to let go as if it was something you were craving, something you needed, something that belonged to you.
You moved your gaze to your fingers and your heart softened in your chest as you would recognize that hand even in darkness. Your eyes moved from the fingers following the lines of the well-known body all the way to his face. He was already smiling at you, and you couldn’t do anything but do the same.
For the first time since you arrived in that strange land, you found hope, not in getting out or going back home as that was no longer needed. Your home came to you and you could finally see yourself being happy again. It didn’t matter in which world you were as long as his hand was not letting go of yours.

You could hardly remember how you showed up in the Borderlands, with no memory of how you got there, knowing nothing about the world you were now located in and how to get out. You didn't even have anyone who you could truly call a friend or even just an acquaintance in this new land.
That was, until Banda Sunato caught eyes on you.
It started out normal as it could be. With Banda striking up a conversation with you randomly during one of the games, you thought he couldn't be too bad. Of course, not everyone thinks the correct thing, though.
You stuck with Banda throughout the games until the second stage. He was kind to you up until then, then he started to change. You believed he was a little weird, yes, maybe even creepy at times with how he stared at you for a little too long at moments. He had told you hardly anything about his life back in the real world, so you didn't tell him anything about yourself, either.
But there was something about the man that made you second guess things, of being with him this long. You were worried that maybe he would throw you under the bus and forget about you like you were nothing to him, but he proved otherwise.
You wish you would've known the person Banda Sunato was before being sent to the Borderlands, because maybe then, you wouldn't have fallen into his delicately laid out trap made just for you.
“Look, I found some Yakisoba noodles.”
Banda held up two packages of noodles, looking over at you. “It’s better than canned foods and plants.”
You looked at him from where you were in the little convenience store, holding a bag and collecting food, “Let’s take them, you're right about it being better than the rest of this stuff.”
He nodded, putting both packages in the bag before standing up and looking around. He wandered off further into the store, checking to see if there was anything else you two could use when his eyes spotted something, making him stop and look at it. Picking it up, he read the label on the small medication bottle that someone must have left, saying it was a form of drug but with severe side effects. Staring at it for a few seconds, Banda then put the bottle in his pocket and continued walking until he was back where you were.
You didn't realize he was standing right behind you until his hand grasped your shoulder and you jumped, spinning around only to see him standing there. “Sorry,” He said without an ounce of sincerity, “I didn't mean to scare you.”
“It's okay,” You replied, shaking your head. “I’m just a little jumpy, I guess.”
“I understand,” Banda nodded, “Let's head back to the tent, it’ll be dark soon.” He added after, removing his hand and turning around, beginning to walk away.
You followed after him out the store, walking beside him down the roads to make it back to your tent. He was looking over at you every few seconds, then looking back in front of him as if he weren't staring at you. Neither of you spoke the whole way back to the tent until Banda was handing you the newly cooked noodles.
“Here,” He said to you, handing you a pair of chopsticks as well. “You’ll need to eat before we enter a game tomorrow.”
“Which one are we even going to join?” You asked him, taking a bite of the food.
Banda appeared to be thinking for a second, but he already knew the answer he was going to give. “How about the Jack of Hearts?”
You looked over at him confused, “Why the hell would we join a heart game together?” You questioned, taking another bite of the food. “Isn't that like, destined for disaster?”
“Of course not. It’ll be fine.”
Destined for disaster, you remember saying it last night, and you were right. The moment you were told the rules for this game, “Solitary Confinement” you knew it would be a disaster. What didn't help was the collar now attached to your neck that will explode if you answer wrong or simply don't answer, making you even more anxious knowing anyone could lie to you at any time. You didn't know what you were going to do now that you had joined the game and were stuck in this mess, and Banda only made it worse.
You should've stayed back at the tent when you woke up and felt sick to your stomach as if you ingested something you weren't supposed to. You shouldn't have listened to Banda convincing you to come with him to the game. You should've abandoned him when you had the chance in the middle of the night. There were so many things you should've done instead, but they didn't matter now. Not when you had a feeling you fucked up beyond belief for deciding to enter this game with Banda, now you had to deal with the consequences.
“Are you alright?”
You jumped at someone talking to you, turning around to see a white haired male with a hoodie looking at you. “Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you.” He added after.
“It's okay,” You shook your head, running your hand through your hair, “Just freaking out a little I guess.” You admitted quietly.
The male nodded along in agreement, his eyes wandering around the place before landing back on you. “You came in with that man, right?” He used his head to gesture to Banda who was speaking with someone else.
You nodded silently, confused as to where this was going, unsure of how your voice would even sound in this situation.
“You know he's a killer, right?”
You swore you could feel your heart drop to your stomach at those words, looking at the male in confusion, “What do you mean?” You asked hesitantly.
“Well,” The man leaned closer towards you, “His name is Banda Sunato, he was on death row for killing multiple women back in the real world.” He told you.
It felt like all the dots were connecting in your mind, and when you realized, you knew it was too late. “Oh God.”
“I wouldn't pray to God just yet, the game has hardly even started.” The mysterious man said with a light chuckle.
Suddenly, you started to feel dizzy, grasping onto your head to keep yourself steady, you could feel yourself swaying back and forth, making the man next to you look at you confused.
“Is something wrong?”
“That son of a bitch.” You cursed under your breath, sliding down the wall and sitting on the ground.
When you looked in front of you, you saw Banda sitting across from you, staring at you intimidatingly, making you shift around uncomfortably, looking away quickly.
He knew you were starting to figure it out. He knew what you were feeling, having done it many times before. Shit, he wished he could smile in this situation, but he didn't want to draw unnecessary attention to himself by smiling creepily at you from across the room. He could see you connecting the dots in your mind just by your eyes, the fact your eyes went wide when you did realize made a small smirk grow on his face.
It was the same with every victim of his. He would toy with them as if he was a good guy, only to break them when they least expected it. It wasn't his fault he took the one and possibly only chance he was going to get. You were trusting him, that's what he wanted. For you to trust him so you wouldn't dare to think he of all people would attempt and kill you. So that he could play the part just a little longer than usual, wanting you to become so dependent on him that you would end up crawling back to him. He enjoyed that. Seeing the people he killed crawl to him, bloody just like his hands, begging for him to not kill them, asking for forgiveness. But he would never forgive them. Why would he? It's not like he knew his victims well enough to give them a few reassuring last words, he could care less. But you were already different from the others. Smarter, even if only by a little bit. It was enough for him to plan it out more accordingly.
He had a feeling you didn't trust him completely, with how little you were telling him about yourself, you were making it more difficult for him. That's why when it was announced there would be a second stage of games, he knew he had a second chance. A chance to get you to at least trust him a little bit, and it worked. While you were a little smarter than the rest, you were still stupider than him. That's what mattered most. As long as you remained in the dark of his true motives, it would all work in his favor. For a moment, Banda thought you might not fall for it, but after handing you the food the night before, seeing you eat it without a second thought, he was ecstatic.
Killing others always gave Banda a rush, one that normal people would be frightened over once realizing they were a psychopath. But not him. He enjoyed the feeling. The adrenaline flowing through his body as he stood over another body, smirking down at them as if they were some sort of toy of his. The feeling of accomplishment when he hides them so expertly that the police just label it as another missing person and ultimately close the case. The way it made him feel was something he never wanted to get rid of. Almost as if killing was a drug he was addicted to, he couldn't stop, he didn't want to stop, he wanted to keep going for as long as he could until he died. Nothing would change that.
While Banda was praising himself in his head, you felt like you were going to die. You have never hated yourself more than right now, not once in your whole life did you hate yourself like you did right now. For being so stupid, so naïve to think that he was a good man, that he wasn't some crazy person when he was. You couldn't believe how stupid you were. You felt like you might pass out at any moment, but knew nothing would happen because technically he did it before you both entered the venue therefore it wasn't against the rules of not being allowed to kill another player. You had no clue what to do, starting to freak out as the white haired male next to you noticed immediately that Banda was continuing to stare at you as you began to lose it, making him walk away, leaving you in the corner alone.
You were able to get through the first few rounds, thankfully with the help of the mysterious man who's name you learned was Chishiya. You don't know why he was helping you, but you weren't going to complain when you figured you wouldn't end up surviving much longer anyways. You felt worse than before, barely being able to keep your eyes open as you laid up against the wall, hair sticking to your forehead due to there being no AC unit in the prison when you heard footsteps approach you.
“Well, you aren't looking so good, are you?”
Everything in your body froze at the voice you heard. Banda. You carefully opened your eyes to look at him who was crouching down in front of you. “What the fuck did you do to me?” You spat at him.
“So aggressive,” Banda muttered, shaking his head. “I didn't do anything to you, you must have gotten sick last night.” He answered, reaching one of his hands to rest on your knee. “Maybe the food was expired.”
“Bullshit,” You smacked his hand off of you before he grabbed yours by the wrist tightly.
“Don't.” He told you in a low tone. “I might not be able to kill you here but I can get you to that very brim of life and death if I want to.”
You stared back at him with your eyes wide, nodding your head and he then let go of your hand. You tried to scoot yourself away from him but only ended up hitting the wall behind you. “Why did you do this to me?”
Banda shrugged, “Because I wanted to. Nothing more than that.” He answered simply.
“You're serious?” You asked, leaning your head back against the wall.
“Yes,” He nodded, “You seemed like a good person for it and I took that chance. It's not my fault you were too stupid to realize it.”
“Fuck you,” You replied angrily.
Banda let out a ‘tsh’ under his breath at your cursing before standing up and looking down at you, “You should be thankful I’m doing it this way. It's normally much bloodier. Be grateful I’m feeling generous,” He said to you, lifting your head up to look at him with his hand. “Trust me, you’ll be gone in the next round.” He told you before letting go of you and walking away.
You let out a breath you didn't realize you were holding in, suddenly shaking in your whole body as you tried to calm down. He is really trying to kill you, you were right. It must have been something in the food he had given you. That's the only reason you could think of that would make reasonable sense. The only problem was that now it was too late. With no way to get your stomach pumped or go to a hospital, you were bound to die soon. Your heart felt like it was going to beat out of your chest, your head was spinning and you felt like you were going to pass out. You didn't know what to do now, what could you even do really? The drug was taking full effect now, and there was nothing you could do to try and fix it. “I’m gonna die here.” You said as you closed your eyes, trying to steady your breathing.
Suddenly, you felt yourself getting picked up, and you tried to open your eyes to see who it was, but everything was becoming a blur, only being able to see colors. When you were laid back down, it was cold and sent a chill down your spine as you looked around in an attempt to see where you were. Your eyes finally focused and you realized you were in one of the cells and your eyes went wide, quickly glancing around the room before landing on Banda who was standing before you.
“What are you doing?” You asked him, backing up until you hit the wall while sitting down.
“I’m helping you, of course,” Banda responded like it was obvious. “I’m going to tell you your suit.”
“What?” You looked at him confused. “You're just going to lie to me.”
“Will I?” He said. “Maybe, but that's up for you to decide, not me. I will tell you your suit, and you firgure out if you believe it or not. It's a heart.”
“Don't fuck with me,” You scoffed, looking away from him. “I’m not going to trust anything you say.”
Banda tilted his head to the side, “Anything?” He asked. He took a few steps towards you and crouched down next to you, “And what if I told you that you're simply overreacting? That really, you're just sick and want some excuse to get away from me. I would never want to kill you.” He said to you quietly.
Your breath hitched in your throat at his words, hesitantly looking over at him and shaking your head, “No, you poisoned me.”
“How would I do that in a world like this?” He said, “There's no logical way that I would be able to poison you with such limited supplies we have here. You're just making up excuses.” He spoke slowly so you could hear and process every word carefully, talking in a tone that had you listening to him anyways and beginning to believe him. “You're thinking, now that you know what I am you want to get away from me as fast as possible, but I would never do something like poison you. You got sick and are overreacting because of the game we are in now. That's all there is to it.”
You shook your head again, bringing your hands up to cover your ears so you wouldn't be able to hear him anymore. “No, y-you're trying to k-kill me, I k-know it.”
Banda sighed, standing up again and peering at you from above, “Whatever you say. You're going to die in that cell, anyways.” He said to you before walking out of the room and turning around to look at you. “I hope you realize that you should never trust certain people, especially people like me.” He told you before closing the door to the cell with a loud thud.
You removed your hands from your ears and didn't move from your spot, on the verge of crying once understanding that there was 5 minutes left of the round and you would have to guess soon. Your whole body was shaking and you didn't bother trying to calm down anymore, you were going to die. It was bound to happen, now. With Banda most likely lying to you about your suit, you were on the brink of just giving up. Your arms slouched to your sides as you stared up at the ceiling, a few stray tears falling down from your eyes as the voice on the speakers said to tell the mark. You took a deep breath, closing your eyes and waiting for the buzzer that indicates the round is over.
This was what you deserved. For being so stupid to think that maybe he wasn't that bad of a man, that he just was a little odd at times. You realized that now. This was your time to die, and you had deserved it for all of what you did starting by talking to him, then helping him, then staying with him, to now. Everything you did lead up to this moment, you understood that. All because you wanted to believe there was something better in him, but you should've known to never trust men like Banda Sunato.
“H-Heart,” You said aloud, more tears falling down your face. “Heart!”
The buzzer then went off, and the collar around your neck exploded, leaving you dead on the ground in the cell, blood pooling around your body with your eyes open. You had fallen into the trap he had laid out just for you, and this was the result of that. He lied to you from the very beginning, you just couldn't see it.
But he didn't care, he walked right on past the cell like it was nothing, a smirk on his face when he saw your picture fade out on the giant screen knowing he had done it successfully. You were just another toy of his, and like all of those other toys,
you broke.

Y/n Pov
We were walking for a another good 10 minutes making sure to
After a while, we stopped it front of a apartment building
As we stood there for a few seconds , I notice a sign
'Game'
Izaniya : What kind of game is this *staring up at the sign*
Alissah : I don't know *confused , looking at sign*
Y/n: Let's find out , there might be people that can tell us *looking at the sign bored*
Deciding to head inside as we step inside the building, me being first as Alissah and Izaniya followed behind me both with a confused look while I stare with a bored expression
Quickly noticing a table with a sign
Raising a brow as I look over my shoulder towards Alissah and Izaniya
Y/n: Come on *says to Alissah and Izaniya *
Nodding their heads as they follow me towards the table , taking a few seconds to examine the phones, sighing as I pink up the purple phone with a bear charm hanging from the side
Looking closely at the phone as I try to see if there's any service
But there was 0 bars , becoming confused as I stare at the phone
Face Registration...

Heading up the stairs as quietly as possible with Izaniya followong close behind since she didnt have a weapon .. yet
Once we made it to the second floor , putting my back against the wall making sure to stay out of sight , slowly looking to the left then right to see it was clear as I signal Izaniya to follow me

Reward - AIB Boys HCS -
Summary: They save you during a game, so you reward them by giving them head 💋
Warnings: NSFW - MDI - +18 - Oral - Dub/Con with Banda -
Includes: Chishiya - Arisu - Banda Sunato - Tatta - Karube - Aguni - Kuzuryu - Niragi -
Tumblr media
♤ Chishiya
He is amuzed till he starts to groan from the misstrations of your tongue around his dick.
Back at the game you would have died but he was there, maybe it was the adrenaline from it or seeing him covered in blood what made you feral for him, having to hold back till both of you got back to his room at the Beach.
Chishiya groans letting his head fall back against the wall, his hands going to your head to guide you. You are so sloppy tonight.
"Easy princess- you gonna make me come if you dont slow down"
He says easy but his body its out of it. His hips already moving using your mouth to reach his orgasm. Its not like you are going to slow down even if he asked. All you want from him right now is his cum into your mouth.
♤ Arisu
Baby boy its going to be a shy mess and tell you "you dont have to-oh fuck" as you cut him off taking him without further preparation.
Arisu was an angel in this hell place. Of curse you would reward him for saving you. It was an extra how sensitive he was when it came to you giving him oral. Your hand caressing his balls and pressing them making him moan and whimper.
He will try to control himself, really. But its too much. Soon he is a mess all over the bed, telling you to please keep going to not stop.
♤ Banda Sunato
Banda had ulterior motives to save you and one of them was this, having you on your knees for him while you suck him off.
He would still be fully clothed, only letting his dick out, hell you two may still be in the game arena.
"Cmon, you did not think you would not have to pay for it, right? I saved you this is the last thing you could do"
Its going to force all of himself down your throath without warning and groan at the feeling. He is the one in control now, using one hand to move your head up and down his dick, urging you do go faster.
"You must be a slut right? And you like this"
Once he cums he will pull your face close to his dick till his cum is coming out of your mouth.
♤ Tatta
Pretty boy is so proud of have saved you. And then you are pushing him on the back of the cars the beach has and getting between his legs. He is confused till he sees how you start to push his summer shorts down.
Is a blushing mess trying to tell you to stop, there is no need- then you start to lick him and he is gone. He groans and tells you how good your tongue feels and how much he had wanted you. Will beg to you to let him finish in your mouth, and tell you he needs to return the favor.
♤ Karube
The one who saved you because he loves you and never wanted something in return but wont denied the head.
In fact, its going to taunt you because of it.
"All i needed to do was save you and then I get you like this for me?"
Like this, being on your knees with only his shirt, so yes he has no shirt at the moment (just got out from the shower and now he is sure he will need a second one). Wont complain, will let you touch his body pulling down his swiming shorts and see you play with his dick till it gets all red and hard. Its going to push your head into it, he cant resist your mouth and its a bit of a dom so he may just use you since you are soo ready to give it to him.
♤ Aguni
He protects. Its his nature for these who he loves. When you two get back at the beach you are pulling him towards the shared suit The Hatter gave both of you. He is confused thinking you may want to shower first but no- he was so wrong-
He is actually a softie and will melt once your motuh is around him, will try to stop you but then will sucumb easily to your touches.
♤ Kuzuryu
This Man is TIRED AS HELL. The moment he moved to save you from your last game was pure reflex (and maybe love). So when he is back at the beach with you following him like a lost puppy he will ask what you want from him.
It ends with him back in his suit with your mouth around his dick and him spread on the bed. Wont try to push you away, he needs to release stress after all. Will tell you what to do, how to properly suck him, how to play with his balls...and when he cums he ends telling you to lay down so he can use your tits as his personal toys for a second round.
♤ Niragi - established relationship
If a group goes to a game with Niragi everybody knows only you would end being protected by him, why? Because he fucking loves you even if no one knows it or gets it.
The one who pulls you after the game to see if you ended hurt only to be suprised when you offer yourself right there. His suprise will soon fade away and turn into lust as he hold your head and groans your name, not caring if the others can hear him.

Tumblr media
YN trailed behind Chishiya as they entered the prison where the Jack of Hearts game was being held. After being separated from the rest of the group, the two of them were trying to get back to them whilst entering the face card games.
Well, YN was focused on getting back to the group whilst Chishiya took his sweet time, eagerly seeking out the blimps that flew over Tokyo.
His eyes lit up when he realised that they were near the Jack of Hearts game, and though he says he was not suited for them, YN believed that Chishiya was intelligent to the point he could adapt to all of the card types, except maybe Spades but he would figure a way out for that too as he did with the Tag game.
If it wasn’t for the fact that their visa was going to expire soon, YN would be sitting outside of the prison waiting for Chishiya to return but unfortunately, the borderlands were cruel so here they were putting their life on the line yet again.
They slipped the collars on as instructed and made their way into the guard room where about ten people were waiting and judging from the table of collars by the entrance, it was going to be a high-number player game.
Chishiya found a shadowed alcove where he could see the entrance and everyone else who was already there. YN took their place next to him and together they waited for the rest of the players to join.
Eventually, the last player joined and the tension and fear in the room amplified as the screen in the room lit up and the automated voice rattled through the speakers and everyone’s attention was directed to it.
“Difficulty, Jack of Hearts.”
“Game, Prison Cell”
┆彡
Banda stepped into the guardroom and set his gaze upon the other players in the guardroom. Some nervously avoided eye contact, others squared their shoulders and made themselves bigger as others hid in the shadows.
Nothing unusual, he noted. After all, they were all forced to participate in these death games but some adapted better than others. Some people thrived and dominated the games whilst others simply rode on their coattails, surviving off the backs of others.
Banda turned his attention back to the screen, listening to the instructions as they were explained.
“Rules. Guess the suit that appears on the back of your collar. However, you cannot see your own suit. The time limit per round is one hour. Five minutes before the time is up enter one of the prison cells and guess what your own suit is. If you do not guess your suit correctly, the game is over for you. When time runs out, your collar will explode and you will die. In addition, your suit will change at every round.”
People fiddled with their collars, twisting and turning but their design made it impossible.
“But we just need to have someone tell us what it is, right? That'll be easy” A young man excitedly exclaims on the other side of the room, bringing Banda’s attention to him and consequently to YN as they move out of the shadows when the man next to them responds.
“I wouldn't be so sure. They haven't told us how to clear the game.”
Banda pays no attention to the voice as it finishes explaining the rules as he was hooked on the mysterious person on the opposite side of the room.
He was down bad and they hadn’t even shared a word.
┆彡
YN watched as everyone started to team up but distrust was thick in the air. Reality has settled in, it would be hard to clear this game and most will die as distrust and backstabbing fester.
The young man in what YN thought was quite an adorable set-up of a yellow t-shirt and dungarees, turns to them “Hey, let’s tell each other”
“If you want to survive, you need to observe everyone here very closely. You need to remember everyone who doesn’t lie. Besides, I could be the Jack of Hearts myself…”
YN tunes out Chishiya, their gaze focused on the man who is steadily approaching them from the other side of the room. He was cute, with a sweet smile and broad shoulders.
His eyes are only on YN and as he stops in front of them, it pulls Chishiya from his conversation but he remains silent as he watches on.
“Do you want to partner up?” The man asked eagerly, “We’re stronger in pairs.”
Chishiya makes a noise of amusement which causes the man's eyes to flicker over to him.
“...Unless you’ve already partnered up” The man glared slightly at Chishiya
“No, no… we can all group up.” YN quickly spoke up, trying to diffuse the tension between the two men. Chishiya had the ability to piss anyone and everyone off, including YN several times.
When the man looked back over at YN, they introduced themselves, holding out a hand that the man eagerly shook and introduced himself.
“Banda.” He smiles, “Banda Sunato”
YN returns his smile and twists around, showing him the back of their collar, “Do you mind telling me mine?”
Banda steps closer to look at the collar before gently tugging YN back around to face him. The physical contact was unneeded but YN didn’t mind. In fact, they kind of liked it.
“Club.”
YN tells him and Chishiya’s theirs before they have to go into the cells to call out their suit.
There are no deaths this round and everyone breathes a sigh of relief as they step out of their cells.
Immediately Banda makes their way over to YN with a smile, not wanting to be separated from them for longer than he has to.
Chishiya watches as they head to the food room, racking his brain, trying to remember where he remembers the name Banda Sunato from.
┆彡
“You know, I wonder how long this will last”
The words of the man next to Banda catch YN’s attention, so they listen in on their conversation.
“Either the Jack will start killing people, or someone who’s afraid they’ll be killed will start killing others. Until one of those things happens, this will never end.” Banda explains.
“That’s exactly right.” Chishiya jumps in.
“As long as we’re all telling each other, we’ll be fine.” The man in the yellow shirt, Ippei, tries to look on the brighter side of things.
YN gives him a sympathetic smile, “I wouldn’t be so sure.”
Their conversation is interrupted by shouting and a young man being shoved to the floor. Everybody turns to watch as a bald man shouts at the frightened younger man to tell him his suit.
YN tries to move forward to help him but is stopped by Chishiya who shakes his head at them, motioning to what Banda was currently doing.
When YN hears the muffled explosion and thump that echoes through the prison at the end of the round, they realise what Banda had done.
┆彡
Banda watches as YN snacks on a packet of cookies, finding everything they do utterly endearing and adorable.
“You know…” He begins to speak, catching YN’s attention, “I would never betray you. I’ll protect you.”
He takes YN’s hand in his, holding it tightly but their moment is interrupted by the arrival of Chishiya.
“Eyy, for all we know you can be the jack of hearts.”
Banda glares at Chishiya. So does YN. Trust him to stir up shit.
“So could you.”
Chishiya points at YN, “They can vouch for me”
Banda looks over to YN who rolls their eyes and nods, “I’ve had the misfortune of knowing Chishiya since I came to the borderlands. He’s not the Jack. Neither am I, by the way.”
Banda quickly shook his head, “I would have never thought that.”
YN saw Chishiya make a face from the corner of their eye but ignored him.
YN didn’t tell Banda that they knew he kickstarted the series of deaths in this game either.
┆彡
Players were dropping like flies. Backing stabbing and fear had crumbled groups until there were only seven of them left.
Ippei couldn’t take it, the game had broken him and as YN watched him sob on the floor as Chishiya tried to comfort him, they felt bad for him. They understood how these death games took everything from you and if you manage to survive one, you barely have enough time to recuperate before you’re forced to join another lest you want your visa to run out.
When YN heard the muffled explosion at the end of the hour, they knew Ippei chose death.
Banda approached YN, seeing how upset they were about Ippei, bringing them into a hug and comforting them.
“He’s at peace now.”
YN nodded and snuggled further into his hold, melting into his warmth. YN had needed that hug desperately, the last one they had was with Kuina at The Beach which felt like a lifetime ago.
YN took a backseat role for the next round, Chishiya told them their suit and vice versa. Watching as he planned something with Banda and Yaba but did not get involved as they laid a trap for Matsushita, the Jack of Hearts.
After the trap fell in place, YN watched as Yaba dragged Matsushita into an empty cell as Banda made his way over to where they were standing and Chishiya made himself scarce, giving them a moment of privacy.
Banda cups YN’s cheek in his hand, “I think this is where we part but we will meet again. I promise you that.”
YN nodded, placing their hand over the one that rested on their cheek, “We will. I know it.”
Banda gave them a rare smile before leaning down and pressing a soft kiss on YN’s cheek before he let them go and walked back to the cell Yaba was holding Matsushita in.
As YN and Chishiya left the prison, the blimp above it exploded, signalling the Jack of Hearts had been defeated.
YN cast a worried look back at the prison as they walked further away which Chishiya rolled his eyes at when he noticed.
“You know he is a serial killer right?” Chishiya told them still walking away, “ He’ll be fine”
YN did a double take at his words, “A what?”
“Serial killer. Killed four women”
YN gaped at the back of Chishiya’s head before chasing after him, “Why didn’t you tell me this before?”
Chishiya looked behind him and picked up his pace at the sight of YN’s mad face gaining ground on him, “I thought you knew! I thought he told you!”
┆彡
One week later, YN sat outside the supreme court waiting for Chishiya as he played the King of Diamonds game when they heard a voice call out to them.
“Waiting for someone?”
YN looked up and couldn’t help the smile that spread on their face,
“Banda!”

💛• How'd you even manage to get the attention of both these guys?!??! I'm jealous 🥲 because the way these two fall for someone, combined, is basically the most intense and warm and crazy hot experience you'll have in quite a while. Let's say that this all starts in the Jack of Hearts game:
💛• With Chishiya, he's drawn to the little, unnoticeable things that interest him, like being a lot smarter than you look, or making a good decision that surprises, or even outwits him somewhat. There's not much of that in the borderlands, apart from Arisu's selflessness that absolutely confuses him until he starts admiring it, and the deadliness of the games, everyone looks like they're going to die. Except you. So he'll most likely start following you around - very subtly - observing your way of doing things and interacting with other players, until he properly approaches you. Probably asking you for his symbol on his collar, and asks you if you want yours. If you turn him down but give him his or something, he'll actually be taken aback... in a good way, because now he's obsessed with wanting to know how your mind works. So, basically, you've got yourself a new partner.
💛• With Banda, however, subtly and patience are not his things. All it takes is one minute of eye contact, or hearing something a little psycho come from you, anything that's potentially original and beautiful to him, and suddenly he's right in front of you with that dark smirk, giving you a twisted but flattering compliment. That's it. Now you've got a new protector who grows oddly possessive and obsessive over the first few rounds, pulling you back when you think about joining the others' big group. You don't need them. You've got him.
💛• So when the two ultimately end up bumping into each other when they both go to talk to you or something, there's just a moment of stretched, painfully strong silence as Banda eyes up this new 'distraction' to your attention, and Chishiya takes him in with that annoyingly indifferent, and kind of smug, look, before his brown eyes meet yours. Banda looks in your direction too. No pressure 😅
💛• I mean, Chishiya tolerates pretty much everyone, but Banda lurking around and infecting your brain with his sadistic ideas of entertainment and advice on how to win every game like he has, is something he's apprehensive of. He'll see how you react to it at first before jumping in, but overall, Chishiya thinks you're the first truly curious and inspiring person that's caught his attention in the Borderlands, and that's something he doesn't want to let slip as soon as he's found it.
💛• Banda has little to no empathy or care for anyone except what you're happy and unhappy with, so he's gonna be pretty forward with Chishiya and give him one of his hushed, intimidating, close-up threats to move along and find someone else to play with. When Chishiya retorts smugly with a comment about how the last women he hung around with suddenly made it onto the murder section of the newspapers, he'll get a deathly glare in his eyes, and basically the only thing stopping him from snapping at that moment is the rule of the game being that you can't outrightly hurt anyone.
💛• They let it go for now, but neither one of them is put off from hanging around with you. The rest of the players in the big group find it odd how you're just sitting there at a table, and within a few moments, Chishiya comes striding in offering his snack with you, sitting beside you on the table, all the while Banda's unblinking gaze is fixed on you from the other side of the cafeteria, where he sits on the floor against the wall. The Jack probably notices it too, but doesn't say anything, since no one really wants to see Banda Sunato get angry.
💛• Once the game has gone on and it's over, Banda has some 'business' to attend to with Jack, and probably makes you wear a tracker or something so he knows how to come and find you when he's done and figuring out how he can have more, or all, control over the lands. Cocky psycho even tries to kiss you goodbye too, and whether you let him go for it and leave you flustered after an intense few moments, or push him away gently with a blush is your choice. Either way, he'll still respond with one of his smirks and a wink before he causally pulls out his pocket weapon and goes into one of the cells after Jack.
💛• That just leaves you with Chishiya, who Banda has 'trusted' to keep you safe while he's gone. Since Chishiya figured it all out with him and survived the round in a pretty impressive way, Banda doesn't misjudge his intelligence and capabilites, even though he seems a little too relaxed when entering these life-or-death games. Still, you'll end up leaving with Chishiya wandering by your side and making small talk about who you are as a person as you go for the next game, or to meet his gang from the Beach, like Arisu. He's surprisingly talkative in his own way as he uncovers more about you and listens to every word you say, but when the questions are reflected back at him, the answers are simple and short - at first, anyway. It's not all because he's reclusive, but mostly because he didn't really like his life, or have much of one, in his opinion, before the Borderlands. But now, maybe he does. Intelligent and nice to look at. He'll stick around for sure 😉
💛• Elsewhere, Banda basically pulls up every file and piece of information on you instead of outrightly asking. It's safe to say that he's an obsessive and possessive crusher/lover, and he'll make that known once he's sorted things out and comes to find you again. And he will come and find you again 😏

—— ♧ ♡ ♢ ♤ ——
Pairing up with Urumi wasn’t your smartest idea, admittedly. But, when she waltzed up to you so confidently during a club’s game — she was wearing a light pink skirt, then — you could only mutter an okay.
It wasn’t a surprise when you were the only surviving team — not really.
You spent your days eating expired canned goods and wandering through abandoned malls with Urumi pulling you by your wrist. She hated when her clothes got dirty — hated when blood stains contaminated her new lace or the frills of her skirt. Leading you to a prison building, Urumi swayed in her blue dress excitedly. A heart’s game — she was too good at those. The brunette turned, her hair parted so that you could help buckle her collar shut.
The brand new shirt you wore blended in with everyone else’s — grabbing new clothes while on the run from the King of Spades was everyone’s first instinct, apparently. A man in overalls twitched nervously as his eyes scoured the group that’d gathered for the game. A white hooded figure stood to his left, leaning against the wall boredly as you and Urumi chose your own spot to wait at.
In only minutes — it felt like longer — the game closed as the last member took a seat directly across from you. Urumi laid her chin on your shoulder as the rules began to play on the screen in the middle of the room, the familiar automated voice drowning out any questions you had. Looking around the room, your eyes met shining ones that were staring directly at you.
A sliver of fear crawled down your spine, dropping into every available crevice as you gulped. He tilted his head, smirk lifting the right side of his mouth as the gleam from that day took over his eyes. You don’t think you’d ever forget that look — you’d never forget how he stared ; how he didn’t let you leave his eyesight for one second.
“We’ll be safe together, hm, [name]?” Urumi murmured into your ear. Her question went unanswered as your throat grew more and more parched the longer he kept his gaze on you. Urumi crept closer to you, mouth snug against your ear as she frowned. “[Name]?”
“I know him.” You breathe out the sentence before thinking. Gulping again, you blink frantically as you try to shift your eyes away from his. “That guy that just came in.”
Urumi hums as she looks ahead — it’s a miniscule change, but he’s frowning at how close she is to you. One look at the screen that has everyone’s picture tells her just who he is. “His name is familiar.”
“He’s been on the news,” a woman wearing yellow speaks up. She shuffles closer to both of you shyly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “Killed four women, I think. I wonder how he got here…?”
Your heart jumps in your throat at the confirmation. You knew you weren’t imagining things — knew he was too familiar. Aching breaths hit your lungs as you try to calm down. Urumi is watching you curiously — she’d only seen you this panicked with a game or two. “I think… I think I was going to be victim number five.”
They both widen their eyes at the news, but you stare at the floor, unblinking and still. Slyly, Urumi places herself in between you and the man — Banda. She hides you from his view as the chatter of the other players begins to rise.
“No worries, [name],” Urumi grins. “We’ll keep each other safe.”
—— ♧ ♡ ♢ ♤ ——
Standing in front of the snack aisle took you back to a memory you wanted desperately to forget. The cookies in front of you transformed into books ; the smell of a moldy prison changed to the scent of coffee and vanilla. You can’t help but reminisce — can’t help it as your mind drifts from your current location and to one that felt like it was from a lifetime ago.
——
Bookstores were your safe haven ; libraries your second home. When they had small cafes nearby, they felt even more snug and warm and welcoming. You’re so focused on searching the shelf in front of you that the person beside you goes completely unnoticed. A shift to the right finally catches your attention, the man standing beside you is looking in your direction.
He’s handsome, you notice ; with soft eyes and a small tilt of his mouth that your eyes latch onto. The man fully grins your way now, all gently and tenderly and your breath catches in your chest. “I hope I’m not bothering you.”
“Oh, um…” you bite your bottom lip shyly and put the book you were looking at back on the shelf. Glancing at the stranger, you ignore the heat rising in your cheeks by clearing your throat. “No, it’s okay. Do you need something?”
“I just noticed something,” the man mutters. He moves quickly, his right hand cradling your face before his fingers move down to your chin. You’re so shocked — so startled by his audacity to touch you out of nowhere that you don’t move.
“You,” he grins, the fingers holding your chin maneuvering your head side to side. “You have puppy eyes. How cute.”
Gulping, you can only stand there stiffly as he moves his hand away from you slowly, savoring how your skin feels. You’re frowning ; frowning as you bring your arms tight across your torso as a way to put a block between this man and you. “So? Why did you feel the need to tell me that?”
The man tilts his head, grin falling into something more sinister and poisonous. You back up steadily until your back hits the bookshelf behind you with a jolt. He doesn’t pursue you anymore ; doesn’t follow your timid steps as he just stares. “It’s cute, is all. Haven’t met anyone as cute as you before.”
——
“[Name]? You’re just standing there…” the girl in yellow is trying to get your attention. The flashback you found yourself lost in ripples away from you abruptly as she stands in his place. Once she sees you looking her way, she grins prettily and clasps onto your arm softly. “Urumi is looking for you. And she wants something sweet? What should we bring her?”
You grab a pink box, the cartoon strawberries on it bringing you further to the present. “She likes these. Do you want anything?”
She shakes her head and leads you to your group. Urumi looks over your shaken expression carefully before grinning and taking her snack from your hand. Slyly, she sways your way and detaches the yellow-clad woman from you and takes her place. “All for me, [name]? How sweet of you! Have any problems while you were away?”
“No,” you smile tensely but relax in her hold. Urumi is comforting in her own way — familiar to you and the only solace you’d found in the Borderlands. “Everything is good.”
The group goes around to tell their card suit’s — you only look away when Urumi lies to the woman in yellow about her symbol. You survive this round and the next ; somehow you and Urumi make it to the last twelve. You find yourself standing in front of the snack shelf again and it makes you remember the man from before ; the man who followed you to the Borderlands.
“You’re here again.” You jump at the sudden noise, turning to see that man. You knew his name now ; knew what exactly he did before he ended up here. You back away slowly and it reminds you of the first time you met. You’re afraid he won’t just let you leave this time, though. “Hungry? Thirsty?”
Not answering, you only ball your hands into fists and prepare yourself for anything. Banda tilts his head and smiles at you teasingly before chuckling. “I’m not going to hurt you, puppy. Would never.”
You blink at the affectionate-sounding name, “what?”
Banda leans in closer, his eyes staying on yours as your noses brush. “You still have those pretty puppy eyes. We’ll make it out together, hm?” He backs away from you, grin melting into his neutral face. “Your suit is a heart. See you in the next round.”
Urumi doesn’t make it. You and Chishiya — the man in the white hoodie — are the last two survivors of your group. He finds solace in the cafeteria, but you find yourself on a staircase. You’re mourning the loss of your friend-of-sorts ; Urumi wasn’t the best person, but she was your companion and you already miss her.
“I’ll keep you company,” a voice runs through your ears. Banda is standing on the stair just above yours so that he’s looming over you. “Keep you safe,” he smiles. “All mine to protect now.”
Before you think, your mouth is opening and words are spilling out. “Why didn’t you kill me?”
He tilts his head, “why would I?”
“That’s what you do — you murder people.” Your anger briefly flares and it makes Banda’s grin widens. “I’m just wondering why that still hasn’t happened to me.”
Banda leans over you, hands in his pockets as the round’s countdown begins. You can hear the footsteps of the other players heading to their chosen cells ; you grow tenser, preparing yourself for your own end. “We aren’t allowed any violence in this arena.”
“That doesn’t explain the other world.”
He hums, leaning back and leading the way to the cells. “I find you… interesting enough to keep around. You have no choice but to live — with or without me. Diamond.”
You did have a choice. You could say a different suit, or not gather in a cell. You could join Urumi — wherever she was now — and attempt to walk out of the Jack’s chosen arena. But, Banda knew you wouldn’t. He’d seen it before, your fighting spirit.
And when Banda walked out with a man in a suit, you followed him, ignoring the blood splattered on his shirt and the smirk on his face.

Masterlist
sunato banda x reader
“im suspicious of a lot of people. even you. so, why would i tell you who i think the jack of hearts is?” you looked up at urumi who was standing with her minions.
“i could never be the jack of hearts. i don’t have it in me to kill anyone” she responded with a pout and you rolled your eyes in response.
“whatever” you mumbled before standing up and walking away from the conversation, back to the central guardroom.
you had no energy to deal with anyone other than your close friend chishiya.
“how did we get stuck in a game with complete idiots?” you groaned approaching him.
he couldn’t help but laugh at your facial expression. you really were done with the game.
“stop laughing!” you held back a smile, stopping yourself from also falling into a fit of laughter.
that’s what you liked about your friendship with chishiya, he could make you laugh just by looking at you. even when you first met him at the beach, it was a friendship that formed without even trying.
“matsushita keeps looking at you” chishiya then raised his eyebrow in the direction of the tall boy who was stood in the corner of the room.
“he’s probably still holding a grudge after i turned down his offer of joining him in the game as his partner” your eyes scanned his facial expression and matsushita gulped before averting his eyes to the floor.
“banda as well” chishiya then added as he gently nudged you to which your eyes then flicked to banda who was leaning against the wall a couple of feet away from matsushita.
when your eyes locked with banda, an eerie smirk appeared on his face and you awkwardly cleared your throat.
“great. he’s probably plotting to murder me” you mumbled to yourself before turning back to chishiya “there’s just no privacy in this game, im heading to the staircase to try and get five minutes of peace and to maybe have a quick cigarette”
chishiya nodded his head. he understood that you didn’t mean him and that you just needed to get away from some of the other players. you sent him a smile and began to walk in the direction of the staircase.
“see you later” he called out to you and you quickly waved before disappearing down into the staircase.
“finally” you sighed with a smile leaning against the railing.
you reached into the back pocket of your jeans and pulled out a half empty pack of cigarettes. you took one out and pulled it up to your lips before lighting it with your lighter.
once it was lit you stuffed everything back into your pocket and enjoyed the silence as you took puffs out of the cigarette.
it was a unhealthy addiction. you knew that. but, in times like these sometimes a cigarette was needed.
your mind wondered to your other friends. were they okay? were they alive? you didn’t know.
it didn’t take long before your head flicked in the direction of the sound of footsteps.
it was matsushita. he was walking down the stairs with a snack in his hand. his eyes were glued to the steps as he walked and your eyes followed him as he continued to make his way downstairs.
just as he passed you suddenly, he then stopped in his tracks.
“smoking is bad for you” he said turning to finally face you.
“and so is pairing up with a murderer in a game about truth” you muttered to yourself under your breath, taking another puff before turning to him with a forced smile “did you need something?”
“oh-it’s just that smoking isn’t good for your health” he repeated fiddling with the snack in his hands nervously.
“i know that but i don’t care. at least not anymore” you then stepped forward towards him “you should try it, it helps with stress”
your hand then reached forward to offer him a puff of the cigarette.
matsushita stood and thought about it.
“you don’t have to try it if you don’t want to, i just thought you could use a bit of stress relief” you pulled the cigarette away but matsushita quickly stopped you.
“no, i want to try it” he grabbed the cigarette and took a deep breath in.
“slow down” you warned and pulled the cigarette away from his lips “it’s your first time and-”
before you could finish your sentence he started coughing hard.
“that’s enough of that” you sighed throwing the cigarette to the ground and stepping on it.
after a couple of seconds of matsushita coughing you send him a concerned smile.
“are you..okay?” you placed and hand on his shoulder and looked up at him.
a grin was plastered on his face as he nodded his head. you huffed in relief and brought your hand down his shoulder to his bicep area.
“thank goodness” you couldn’t help but chuckle at the situation “for a second there i thought you were going to pass out”
“you know, you’re right. it does help with the stress” matsushita’ eyes focused on your lips before then turning his attention to your hand that was still on his arm.
“oh um im glad it helped you” you cleared your throat while taking a step back “i guess i’ll catch you around”
you sent him a quick smile before speed walking back up the stairs to the central guardroom. you and matsushita just had a bit of a moment. and you didn’t hate it.
matsushita silently congratulated himself as he watched you walk up the stairs and when you were completely out of view, he let out an unsettling laugh. he had pulled off his plan of getting you closer to him.
“that was weird” your face expressing the confusion over what just happened as chishiya turned his attention to you upon hearing your voice.
“what was weird?” he responded.
“matsushita, i let him have a puff of my cigarette and then-i don’t know if was weird” you shook you heard trying to forget the moment.
“you do know he likes you?” chishiya added and your eyes went wide.
“woah, no way! that doesn’t even make sense”
“y/n he stares at you almost all the time and the first chance he got, he wanted you as his partner. whatever happened, he was probably trying to get your attention and make a move before banda does”
“im sorry did you just say banda? why would- none of this makes sense” you couldn’t believe what you were hearing but then the dots finally started to connect.
it all technically made sense. but why did they like you?
——————————————————————————————
banda watched you from a distance. your mannerisms is what attracted him to you. you weren’t evil yet you weren’t completely innocent either. the perfect balance. there wasn’t many things he found beautiful in life but you were definitely one of them.
he had to wait for the perfect time to make his move. so that’s why when he saw you sneak off to the bathroom, he followed.
now, he wasn’t a pervert and waited until he could hear the water running to suggest that you were done and now just washing your hands.
with no hesitation he entered the bathroom. the sound of the creaky door caught your attention and you lifted your head to look at the reflection in the mirror to see who it was.
your body froze for a second when you saw banda however, you played it off and went to grab to paper towels to dry your hands.
banda didn’t say a word. he instead just watched you.
as you continued what you were doing, you chose to just ignore his presence. you then made your way towards the exit.
just a second a way from opening the door and walking out banda harshly grabbed on of your arms and yanked you away from the door. he then used his body to block the exit.
this was when you couldn’t ignore him any longer.
“do i make you nervous?” he questioned reading your facial expression.
“no” you looked away to try and avoid his face but also to try your best to hide the fact that it was a lie.
of course he made you nervous. he was a murderer and you were alone with him in a bathroom.
“you’re cute when you lie” his voice was monotone but when you looked at him a smug smile was resting on his face now as he continued to stare at you “i like you..there’s something about you. we could get a long very well. what do you say? get to know me better”
you looked at him in awe. he was very straightforward and when he spoke, he had a charm to him. it was attractive. surprisingly.
you didn’t know what to say and banda let out a low chuckle.
“have a think about it” he leaned into your ear and you shivered as you felt his hot breath on your neck for a brief second.
banda then moved out the way and opened the door for you to walk out.
so you did.
and you immediately went to chishiya.
“this can’t be happening!” you frantically paced back and forth and then paused “you know what? im just not going to think about it. i have bigger things to deal with like, finding out who the jack of hearts is. surviving to get back to the others and figuring out how to escape this hellhole of a place”
chishiya nodded his head as he listened to your rant. as much as he wanted to give you advice, he knew this was situation that you needed to figure out by yourself.
shockingly, you had been able to avoid both banda and matsushita all the way to round 14. the only people that remained was chishiya, them, yaba, kotoko and you.
since you had been so focused on avoiding banda and matsushita, your plan of trying to figure out who the jack of hearts was ruined. you had no clue.
when round 14 ended, kotoko ended up dying. when everyone excited their cells you watched as everything unfolded. matsushita had been the jack of hearts this whole time. it all made sense and you priced everything together.
“y/n, tell them! im not the jack of hearts. it’s him. you know me, we almost kissed, i would never kill anyone” matsushita begged you as he grabbed your arm before pointing to yaba.
“im sorry but im on their side…there’s a reason they kept you alive. they must’ve made a deal” you told matsushita trying to get out of his grip.
matsushita’ eyes went wide as banda and yaba closed in on him.
“please you can’t let them do anything to me!” matsushita pleaded gripping your arm tighter.
yaba and banda then stepped in and ripped matsushita off of your arm. they then dragged him into one of the cells.
you closed your eyes as your hands began to shake. you could hear matsushita’ screams and you could only imagine part of what the duo were doing to him.
meanwhile, in the cell band squatted in front of the helpless man on the floor. he was furious that matsushita hadn’t let go of y/n earlier and he needed answers about this land.
“it’s a shame i cant kill you but there are still many ways to have fun” banda’ eyes went dark and he grabbed matsushita’ face and made sure it made contact with his blade.
after some torture, the game soon came to an end after matsushita purposefully guessed his suit wrong. he didn’t want to endure anymore from the duo that tortured him.
when the collar came off you knew it was finally over and you were relieved.
“go ahead without me okay? there’s a couple of things that i need to do. let’s meet at ____ in two days” you told chishiya and he raised an eyebrow but nodded.
“you know i’ll be there” chishiya pulled you in for a quick hug before making his way out of the prison.
you waited for banda and yaba to appear down the hall. when they did, banda knew to stop and talk with. he stopped in front of you while yaba continued towards the exit.
“have you decided?” he was smirking and you looked down at his shirt which now had blood on it.
you had thought about it. and despite everything, you did want to get to know him better.
“maybe im insane or maybe being in this world for so long has changed me. but, the answer is yes” you breathed out and banda looked down at your lips.
you noticed this and you began to heat up.
a part of you was screaming to kiss him but a part of you was screaming not to.
which one would win?
he leaned forward and so did you.
but just before his lips could touch yours, you put a hand on his chest to stop him.
“change your shirt first” you gave his chest a couple of pats before turning on your heel and walking to the exit.
“interesting” banda tilted his head to the side before shortly following you.
this was going to be fun.

Follow me to Hell
Tumblr media
Banda x Reader
A/N: So, I had to write for him, it’s a bit dark, but not in a ‘nice’ way! I hope you will enjoy it!
Summary: You thought that you were finally safe, but you were wrong
Warning: Blood, violence, death, let’s be honest it’s Borderland so...be prepared.
Word count: 3,1k
________________________________________________________________
Borderland was a devious place where no person should feel comfortable or safe. That was true for most people. However, it became a blessing for those with no morals or boundaries. Nevertheless, there were also a few of those to whom Borderland was simply an escape. That Hell, to you, was more a form of a vacation. You were not a bad or a cruel person outside of a Borderland; you were a victim. Every second of your life was being watched and observed. You were not able to run away or hide from it. You no longer had one shadow, and the new one was a form of a newly made serial killer whose victims died because of you.
So being in the Borderland gave you the ability to breathe again. You were no longer anxious every moment of the day, but only when you would enter games, at least until the next phase had begun. Still, even after that, you found yourself smiling at your friends because all of you were still alive. “Has something changed for you?” Chishiya questioned. There were plenty of things he has concluded about you, but still, you were someone who kept their past life hidden. He could not understand you as you were not like others. He could see no malice in your bones, but he noticed a slight disappointment in you whenever you would hear the words: ‘game cleared’. However, after the next phase had begun, he noticed the sadness in your eyes as well as fear, which strangely enough, he had not witnessed from you yet. You stopped on your way, turning to face someone who became dear to you. Although cold, and most of the time a bastard, you adored Chishiya. He was like a moody kitten from which you could never walk away. “What do you mean by that?” “Have you finally grasped the reality of the games?” You scoffed at his question and although you knew that it wasn’t his intention; it did come out a bit insulting. “That’s funny,” you said through your teeth as you were well aware of all the lives that were lost around you. “You never showed fear, yet you are showing it now. We are not close to the King of Spades, and we are not in a game, so why is it present then?” Chishiya explained his question the best he could. It was difficult for him to find the answer, so he sought it directly from you. “I wanted to die,” you admitted. You could feel a sting in your cheeks and your eyes welling up. You have never said anything like that before. You never trusted anyone that much, not in the Borderland or the outside of it. But you knew that you could trust the man in front of you, although he wasn’t the most empathetic person around. Chishiya stayed silent as he had nothing to say. He could comment on your words, but all he would say would come off as insensitive. He wasn’t aware of what kinds of demons were chasing you, but it seemed as if they weren’t the residents of Borderland, but that you have brought them there with you. “When you and I met in that game, I didn’t give you the solution so that I would get out. I didn’t want you to die. At least I had control over that, I could save a life.” “But why not yours?” Chishiya wondered out loud. “You didn’t want to die that day. I know it.” “I didn’t want to live either,” you added. “When we met that was my first game, I wasn’t sure what was happening, but I knew that I didn’t want to go back and I didn’t want to play.” “If you had a shitty life in the real world, it doesn’t mean that you can’t change it once we go back.” Chishiya tried to reason with you, but he wasn’t aware of your fear. “This place wasn’t the first one where I saw the dead, and it wasn’t the first one where people died because of me.” “What did you do?” He was curious, but he didn’t believe your words. He knew you were not irresponsible to let people die. So he was more than sure that you were blaming yourself for something that you had no impact on.   “I caught the attention of someone who I wanted to kill so many times, but I never had the guts to do it.” You licked your lips before you continued. “I was never much into the people, almost like you. I ignored them and just moved without trying to interact with them. I don’t know why, I truly don’t, but a guy, whom I have never met before, took an interest in me. I didn’t even notice that happening,” you admitted before taking a deep breath. You were trying to control yourself not wanting to shed any more tears because of that man. “He didn’t seem to mind that, but he killed four people who tormented me in different aspects of my life. After he had done that he appeared before me for the first time. He thought that I would be grateful, but he was wrong. However I thought he was joking, so I continued with my life, but I couldn’t shake off his words. He followed me everywhere, and I prayed to anyone listening that those horrible women would just appear back in my life. But the only things that appeared were whispers and gossip about the sudden deaths.” “You didn’t kill them,” he said almost nonchalantly. “That man did, so forget about it.” “Easier said than done, Chishiya,” you said after wiping your tears. You smiled sadly at him before continuing up the stairs. “At least I locked him up,” you whispered. It took a lot of courage to do so, but you reported him, and soon after he was arrested, however, it seemed that although he was put in a cage, he could still reach you. You got his letters; you got his ‘gifts’ and you tossed them away. You moved plenty of times, yet he always found your address. You walked up the stairs until you entered the enormous building which was a prison. And once again you were forced to play with a collar around your neck. You only hoped that you won’t be turned against Chishiya, however, you knew that you would choose his life over yours. So, somehow it didn’t bother you that much, but you could never tell what he was thinking about or if was he willing to do the same, you only hoped that he wasn’t. After the collar clicked you took a deep breath before exhaling loudly. You were getting exhausted at the mental abuse of the games. But you had no choice but to play, just as Chishiya as your visa was close to expiring. You climbed up the stairs which slightly crumbled beneath your feet. You were anxious as this was your second time in prison; however, the first time, you ran away before you were escorted to the visiting area. However, it was obvious that this time you will not be able to escape that quickly. Chishiya followed after you, and he witnessed the exact moment when the hairs on your arms rose and your body went rigid. He also noticed the way you tried to ignore it and how you rushed into one of the hidden corners, far from anyone's curious eye. “Are you alright?” Chishiya asked although he knew how stupid that question was at that moment, he couldn’t do anything else. He couldn’t provide you with any comfort or help you with your fears. But at least he could show you that you had someone who cared, although in his little twisted way if he had only known that there was another person present who cared like that but in the darkest possible way. You were almost scared to breathe, and you refused to even glance to your left as you knew who was standing there. “He is here…” you spoke softly and quietly not wanting the man to notice you, you hoped that he hasn’t yet and that he will not. Chishiya could immediately determine who the man you were talking about was. He even recognized him and he could see clearly as a day when the serial killer, Banda Sunato, saw your picture on the monitor. Air got caught in your throat when you noticed Banda’s eyes seeking you in the open space. You swallowed the lump in your throat forcing yourself to be brave in front of the man who destroyed your being and will to live. Before he could find you, you took one step forward gaining his attention. You noticed a glimmer of happiness in his twisted eyes. But you did not return the sentiment; you glared at him with coldness. Today was good enough of a day to end his life any way you can, even if it kills you. After the first round, everyone was relieved except a few of you who were aware of how cruel and disturbing people can be. You could only wait and see when the carnage will begin. And it was sooner than you thought so, but not surprised at the one who started it. You could tell what was being whispered, but what surprised you was a genuine smile directed towards you from the one spewing lies. You weren’t sure if Banda was aware of it, or if he could even comprehend it, but he was making you completely uncomfortable. You have spoken to him, only once in your life at least that’s what you could remember, and you could remember that conversation vividly as it scared you to death. You never appeared in court as they had enough evidence, and needed no witness who had only their word and no proof to back up what Banda confessed. But there was a moment when you got the urge to speak to him, and you went to prison to do so, but before you could confront him to leave you alone, you got sick to your stomach at the thought of seeing him. During the game, you tried to stay as close to Chishiya as you could. But there were moments when it was inevitable for you to separate. However, you agreed to meet between the rows where your favorite snacks were placed; in the furthest corner of the room. When that time came, after so many had already lost their lives, you were sited on the floor munching on the little treat. You were so absorbed in your mind that you failed to notice footsteps approaching you and when you finally have it was too late. “Would you mind telling me?” Banda questioned while pointing to his collar. He slowly turned his back to you while you stood up, but instead of speaking you were ready to walk past him. He was faster than you, so it was no problem for him to catch you by the wrist in a tight grip. You refused to turn around. You could not look at him. His face always seemed so innocent with the smile he always gifted to you, but you knew what he truly was. So you stayed still, just waiting for his next move. “Do you wish for me to die?” Banda asked in a joking manner. He thought that you would be happy to see him; after all, you did come to visit him. Although he never got to see you that day, he knew that you came for him. However, your answer did something truly rare for him; it shocked him and it stirred something dark deep within him. “Yes!” you answer with no hesitation. Banda could not force himself to believe your words. “Say that again!” You repeated, but the only thing you got after that was the feeling of your back slamming into a shelf and Banda’s hands digging into your shoulders. “Did he force you to say that?” Banda questioned as he couldn’t ignore how close you seemed to be with Chishiya. He could see why you would find Chishiya attractive as both of them shared many characteristics. To him, it almost seemed as if you were trying to replace him. You shook your head at his question while trying to endure the pain he was putting you through. “You do not need a replacement anymore,” Banda said without losing his grip, however his facial expression softened and he smiled warmly at you. “Why?” you questioned. You could have said anything, but the only thing you wanted to know is why you were so special to him. “I am here now and I w-” You cut him off completely ignoring the way his jaw clenched at the rude interruption of his declaration. “I don’t know you, Banda, I don’t understand why you keep following me, why did you kill for me, what do you want from me?” Banda tilted his head to the side. He leaned his face closer to your ear to whisper what you could only assume would be the answer you longed for. “I want to break you apart, piece by piece,” he admitted with his lips close to the side of your face. You could feel his hot breath on your ear and it made your skin crawl. You flinched but he kept you in place. “But don’t be scared,” he comforted you condescendingly. Banda pulled away slightly. He moved one of his hands higher with his fingers barely ghosting over the skin of your neck. He stopped them over your cheek softly smearing your tears. “I will build you up again.” You scoffed at his words; a crazy chuckle escaped past your lips. The whole situation finally reached your normality-deprived brain. You could no longer take the absurdity of the moment. Banda moved away from you in one calculated movement. He was pleasantly surprised at your behavior. It was almost as if he was at the finish line with you, but he couldn’t be more wrong. He failed to notice that he wasn’t the main cause of your act, but it was Chishiya who appeared only a moment ago. You knew that it was no longer just your life at stake, but Chishiya’s as well. Banda was crazy and had already killed in the normal world, so it was time for you to snap as you were not going to let him kill someone dear to you. “Break me?” you laughed in his face finally making him uneasy as he was no longer the one in control. You tusked at him as if he was a little child, almost the same as he treated you. “You can’t break me Sunato and you never will.” You stated it as a matter of a fact. “I find enjoyment in challenges,” Banda admitted while stepping closer to you. You scoffed at his words deciding to make the distance between you two. “So will you tell me?” Banda repeated his question as if nothing has happened. “Should I tell? Should I lie? But why do it as you already know the answer?” you asked faking innocence. “I am done with you, Banda. I don’t want a replacement, I don’t want you!” “You came to see me, so don’t act like this is one-sided,” Banda accused as for the first time he could see how much you despise him. It made him slightly confused. “I came to ask you, to beg you…” you spoke from your broken heart just trying to reach his, to make him understand, although you were more than sure that he won’t. But you had a solution for that as well; you had a solution that went beyond your principles and morals. “I came to threaten you to leave me alone. I was willing to go as far as to see your smug face just to get my life back, but I couldn’t. The moment I saw your face through that tinny window of visiting room I got sick. I could taste the vomit in my mouth. I threw up at the sight of you.” Banda just shrugged at your confession no longer in the mood to be close to you. He needed to clear his head to find another way to get to you as he was not willing to let you go after all the effort. He decided to walk past you, but while doing so you’ve done to him the same thing he had done to you. For the first time since you were forced to come to know about his existence, you initiated physical contact. You took him by surprise, but he didn’t let you see it, he only glanced over his shoulder toward you. “If you don’t die during this game, I will kill you.” “Is that a promise?” he questioned staring into your eyes as if waiting for you to succumb to his gaze. Your eyes flickered toward Chishiya who was ready to interfere. His presence gave you the strength to confirm your intentions. “There is no escaping me,” Banda confessed getting away from your touch. “In the end, I will wait for you even in Hell, and we both know you will end up there.” He said smugly not letting you win the argument. Nevertheless, you were both aware that your words were truthful and that you were going to stand by them. However, you decided to do something unexpected. So when the last countdown came, and when it reached zero; it wasn’t only one bang that was heard, as two more echoed outside the solitary. You decided to go back on your word as it was apparent that he was going to survive the game, so you broke the rules to end it once and for all. You took him down with you, it was the least you could do for the lives that were taken. The only regret you had was that you left Chishiya and the rest of your friends behind, but you knew at least one thing; they were all in less danger now when Banda was finally gone. You died with a smile on your face as you at least have done one right thing in the end. But you were never going to rest as the bloody hand was tightly holding onto yours and he was determined to find you even in death.

coming home to the beach after a game, he felt a little tired. nothing special happened, watching other survivors running around in the hallways of a building was quite interesting.
suddenly, something got into his eyesight. on the beach, on his favourite place on the top of the building, someone stood. they didn’t notice him, they just stood there, looking down at the people without any movement. who was that brave to stand there? it was dangerous, they could fall in any minute, and it was only used by him and sometimes niragi —he knew he smoked some weed up there with his friends, he heard it when he wanted to go up there to think. this person wasn’t a scaredy cat, he thought. who were them? before he began to walk into the building of the beach, where the tárgyaló terem was, he saw the hatter sitting on one of the sunbeds, between pretty girls. maybe he knew, if he let them there.
“hey, hatter.”
“chishiya, hey! come, sit here, there’s plenty of seats.” the girls beside hatter smiled at him, but he wasn’t affected.
before y/n, he wouldn’t think that he could ever feel flustered by a girl, or even a person. he merely knew other people’s reaction, sometimes even by just looking at them. but with y/n, he didn’t know what was gonna be her next move or words that came out from her mouth. she wasn’t even a normal girl, with abilities like hers she couldn’t even be simple. they got to know each other when y/n were at the psychiatry in the same hospital as him. he got to know that she went there with her little brother, but instead of her brother, it was her who needed help in the end. for the first time, he talked to his colleagues from psychiatry. it turned out that y/n had the highest iq in her age in the whole of japan, based on tests. but her emotional intelligence lacked things like guilt, or spaced out and slept for whole days. he got to know that she even skipped school just to sleep or be with herself in her room, generating conflict with her parents and her teachers from school. y/n loved one person and one person only; her brother. her love for him was stronger than anything, she always protected him and even bullied other kids in his brother’s class when she saw them bugging her brother, to the point that some of the kids needed to change schools because of their mental problems. not to say that she was beautiful too; sure, her mother and father were also fine-looking, but as she sat there, in the chair, like a statue of psychopathism, she was something else.
the first time he met her, it was an accident. he wanted to get some snacks and to relieve stress with a little walk around the hospital. going down to the vending machine, he noticed somebody else. great, now he can wait for another clumsy being to pick out their snacks with high cholesterol and sugar intake. when he got there, he noticed that it was a girl, with the same h/c hair and the same body type.
it was y/n.
she waited for her snack to come, but then, the curled steel that could roll out the bag stopped. instead of doing anything, y/n looked at the glass window, trying to press buttons. she really wasn’t the violent type, instead, she analyzed the situation. but with a vending machine, there weren't many things she could do. chishiya walked up beside her, bumping the side of the machine. the snack fell down, so the girl could take it out. the perfume of her crawled up to his nose. her hair smelled good, it wasn’t the cheap shampoo the hospital gave to their patients, her hair was silky and shiny, like she didn’t just lay everyday on the couch of one of his colleagues.
“it needs a little push.”
y/n nodded, grabbing out the bag from under. as chishiya picked his snack, she stayed there, just watching him. glancing to the side to check if she still was there, and not just disappearing like a ghost, chishiya saw that she was still standing there, and she didn’t even look away when he caught her red-handed. her eyes were a little bit wide, and they were talking about her feelings. and now, they told chishiya that she was curious.
“did you figure it out for a long time?” she asked suddenly, breaking the silence. chishiya looked at her, as she pointed to the side of the machine. it was full of handprints and little signs that he and his colleagues as well tried to get out their snacks in a way, until they found the right place to push. she really was smart.
“yes. i’m chishiya, pediatric cardiac surgeon.” he said, as he reached out his hand for her to shake.
“i know.” y/n answered, shaking his hand. “it’s on your card.” she added.
“why are you here?” he asked as they sat down. y/n looked away, like she was thinking.
“my parents think i’m a psychopath. but i just don’t like anybody else other than my family… my little brother.” she said. she wasn’t keeping things from him, her speaking tone was clean and simple.
“so you think you’re fine?” he asked as he picked a piece from his snack. y/n nodded. she was so small in the big building, yet he knew that she wasn’t there without a reason. sliding her snack on the table, she smiled a little bit.
“do you want some?”
a little after that, it came out that y/n was hypersensitive, and since his brother was the closest to her, she fixated on his feelings since his childhood. it was like some separation anxiety she couldn’t beat down when she was a child, and they had nothing to do with her smartness.
“wait, why are you so interested in her?” his colleague, who y/n’s psychiatrist was, asked. chishiya shrugged his shoulders.
“just never found anybody like her.”
and it was true.
“hatter, don’t you know who that person is?” he asked as he pointed up to the top of the building, still seeing his lover. hatter looked up too, nodding.
“yeah, yeah i know her! she came today when you were at your game, but she didn’t say anything. she had four cards, gave them to us, and it contained two cards we didn’t even have! other than that, she didn’t even say her name. although she didn’t seem troublesome, she didn’t react to anything when niragi or aguni threatened her. niragi fumed and wanted to shoot her, but what could we do with a dead brain as good as hers? we agreed that as long as she stays, we have a better chance to escape from this world. can i ask you something, chishiya?”
chishiya nodded, eyes not breaking from the girl’s form.
“what would that be?”
“please follow her or watch out for her. she didn’t promise that she would stay here, and i don’t want to lose her because of her brain and abilities. might give her a rank between us, but i want you to think about this too.”
he nodded again. watching out for her is gonna be easy, and deciding that she would have a place between the leaders is gonna be easier. with y/n’s mind, they should watch out, but he didn’t worry. walking up on the stairs and opening the door, she was still there. the wind blew her hair, as she stood right before the sun, her figure curved out black. sure, he would notice if she walked down beside her, but just like their first meet, he wanted to make sure. stepping closer and closer to her, he knew she knew he was coming up to him, but she didn’t turn around. when he was only two steps away from her, she sighed. chishiya felt happiness. calmness. relief. that he can sleep again with her in his arms. that he can hold her hand if he wants to concentrate. that he can look at her for reassurance, as she always knows everything. that she remembered her, against the fact that they didn’t get here together. that she found him again. that he isn’t alone in this world, just like he was before he met her in the empty hospital hallway. before he could know everything about her, before he got to know that the only other person she can truly love is him. and that he can truly love him too.
stepping behind her, his lips were beside her ear. her hair held the same pure, sweet smell he first smelled.
“you found me.”
turning around, he could finally look her into her eyes. they held happiness and the same relief he felt. grabbing a lock of his hair, she smiled a little before she kissed him. bringing y/n away from the edge of the top of the building so nobody could see them, chishiya brushed her face. in the next moment, soft lips crashed into each other, just like they used to, grabbing the back of her head and her waist, she held one of his hands with hers, the other held his face. he couldn’t get enough of her, only her movements and the way she hold onto him woke up the fire in him, what he thought he never gonna feel again as he was separated from y/n.
“hatter told me to look after you and not to let go of you”, he said as they heavily separated from each other. y/n blinked. “but i wasn't planning on either. how long did you plan to stay on the beach?”
the girl leaned into his hand that slid from the back of her head to her cheeks, looking up at him.
“as long as you stay too. i don't go anywhere without you again.”

she was the craziest girl he ever knew.
not in the fun and simple meaning of crazy, but crazy crazy. doing things without a second thought, laughing at serious situations from the deep of her lungs, not caring about the meetings with her psychiatrist, not taking her meds. they were friends since childhood, but when y/n moved away, they lost contact, the first meeting as two grown people was when banda’s friends dragged him to a party. there were around thirty people dancing to the music, drinking as much as they could, and doing usual things people do when they’re at a party on a friday night. banda knew he felt something for her even when they were twelve years old, beside that even then, she was showing the signs of madness –burning her skin intentionally, chewing violently at her nails, or doing dangerous things against her parents’ yelling and hollering. maybe this was the cause that she moved away, he didn’t know back then. and now that he saw her again, he couldn’t care less. banda was listening to his friends’ talk, but then, a blood-curdling scream sounded, and as he heard, a bottle clashed against something.
“i said, that leave me alone, fucker!” a girl screamed, and everybody looked in the way of the noise. for a moment, everybody stopped. banda saw the same girl he used to know; her hair and makeup was different from the past, but it was the same way she carried herself, the same way she screamed, the same way she held something –now the broken bottle, beside her, a guy was lying with a bleeding head, moveless. so he was the one who tried to step over her boundaries, banda thought. y/n looked around, wiping her nose. “what? he… he tried to rape me! don’t look at me, just be busy with your own business, fuckers!” she yelled as she stormed out of the door.
“that’s a crazy bitch” one of his friends said, sipping from his drinks.
“yeah, maybe the sex could be good with her, sex is always good with crazy chicks. but i would be scared that she’d cut off my dick” another said, but banda couldn’t concentrate anymore. what if he can never see her again? disappearing into tokyo’s streets, he didn’t know her phone number, where she lived, or what she did.
“i have to go now”, banda said as he ran after y/n. some of his friends shouted after him to have a good time and good luck with her, and to protect what he has to protect. he ran as fast as he could, hoping she stopped at some point of the street. he had luck; y/n stood in front of the crossway, trying to lit her cigarette. as she cracked again and again her lighter, she became more and more nervous. picking out his own, banda collected all his courage.
“hey, uhm… do you want mine?” he asked, and y/n turned her head into his way. she nodded.
“yeah, yeah… thank you” she said, as she accepted the fire and lit her cigarette. “what do you want?” she asked, like she was testing him. banda gulped; she was the only girl from the beginning who could make her nervous, but in a good way.
“just… saw that you broke that bottle against that guy’s head, and… wanted to ask if we knew each other from somewhere.” he knew that his speech was curved to another way, but she didn’t mind. maybe because her thoughts were the same twisted ones. examining his face, y/n’s eyes began to get bigger.
“you are familiar from somewhere… but i don’t know, sorry, the meds take away all my memories…” she muttered, holding her temple. banda furrowed his eyebrows. medicines? for what? was she ill?
“i think… we know each other from the past, i think. childhood? i’m banda sunato.”
“banda… banda… hmm… i think i know that name. were you the boy who gave me flowers that he stole from the cemetery?” she asked, grinning. banda took away her cigarette, blowing it into her face.
“i think you forgot that like every other girl.”
y/n shook her head, laughing, linking her arms around his neck as she took back the cigarette.
“i didn’t even forget when you said that you love me.”
later, the night was spent talking, eating, and after a couple of drinks, they ended up having the most mind blowing sex they ever had with other people. y/n scratched his back and clawed at his shoulders and waist, but banda didn’t mind it –after all, he was all hers and never looked after other girls, only for a quick hook up, but nothing else. y/n’s body and soul was eating him up, and he didn’t want to dodge her bites –instead, he wanted to crawl into her mouth to feel the constant tingling in his whole body. y/n slept away quickly, and until banda was awake at dawn, he brushed her hair, kissing her forehead and the crown of her hair often, like they weren’t even met tonight, but they were together for years. banda didn’t want anybody else, he wanted y/n with all of her craziness and little antics that she showed. his mother even asked him when he was going to settle down, but he didn’t say anything, only shrugging his shoulders. he saw the meds on y/n’s drawer, they were all kinds of psychiatric stuff that could control her mind. they were all half empty, but as the dates showed, the last pieces should have been taken a few days ago too. is y/n really crazy? those things that she had as a little girl didn’t get better, but worse? before he could type the names of the medicine into the search bar of his phone, he heard a little shuffle behind him.
“are you gonna leave me because i don’t take them?” y/n’s voice was quiet, as she crawled up to him. her breasts pressed to his back. banda turned around, kissing him, tilting up her chin as her drowsy eyes drank in his sight.
“no. but you have to tell me why you gotta take them.”
—
he was wanted for killing four women. that’s what everybody knew, as the ‘tokyo ripper’ hid in one of the empty hallways of tokyo at midnight. but the main reason was to see y/n in a sedated state. they come to get her, since she didn’t signed up at her psychiatrist’s session from months now on, and her doctor signed her up into the ward of the incurable. when he went to see her in visitor's hour, she only nodded and looked behind him as banda talked to her; like he wasn't even there with her. the glint and shining went out from eyes, and while yes, she was crazy, but now, she was just an empty body without a soul. banda couldn’t watch her any longer; he felt desperate, and felt the need to change this somehow, but he couldn’t know how. the killing of four women was meaningless to him, he wanted to do the same crazy things so he could get together again with y/n, if he tells the police that he did these things because of some sickness in his mind. without y/n, he felt emptiness that nothing could satisfy; not even murder.
“i’ll come back, y/n” he whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead as she was in his embrace, only a white hospital dress covering her body. y/n tilted her head into the crook of his neck, brushing his neck and hair with shaky moves.
seeing the red and blue lights of the police cars illuminating on the walls, he began to run again. banda hoped that he could see her again; maybe in the psych ward, maybe before his death sentence.
after the game ended, banda went out to breathe some fresh air. a little blood remained on his shirt, but he didn’t mind it –he could be himself in this world; he could do anything with anyone he wanted to, even in game, even outside of games. as he headed to the next arena and to get some food, he heard little klicks, like when someone wanted to light the cigarette. he slowly walked there; maybe they had weapons, or they were just making sounds to stalk anybody they could find.
“fucking lighter, again? fuck this!” he heard a murmur. banda’s heart began to beat faster –it was familiar, so familiar. wasn’t dull, but sharp and clear. stepping out from behind the wall, he saw her again.
y/n was off meds, sparkling and full of emotions –not the very best emotions a person could imagine, but she was there again. her soul in her body. she was fortunately the complete opposite of what he saw as when they last saw each other. before his arrest, before her dictatorial medication, before this strange world. banda gave up the hope to see her, he thought that she stayed in the normal world, if the normal world even existed. as she noticed him, she turned around, grabbing her knife from behind her back, ready to strike. however, as soon as she realized who was standing in front of her, the knife fell out from her hand.
she began to run, and stopped right before him, stumbling a little. lifting up her hand to reach his face, her hand was slow, like she didn’t believe he was there. banda took her hand, and made it touch the skin of his cheek, dragging it across his face, down to his pulse on his neck. he didn’t know he needed her touch so much; every little brush with her little fingertips woke up parts in him he thought he forgot long ago. y/n’s breath agitated; she gulped with teary eyes.
“you came back to me.”
she remembered what he said to her, when she was at her lowest. banda smiled, brushing the hair out from her face. banda felt as if his heart missed a beat at her eyes, full of hope, that only he saw when he promised her on their first morning after that he’s never going to leave her. never going to leave her by his choice. only life was cruel to them.
“i promised you.”
before he could say anything else, y/n pulled down his head to kiss him with full force; they were biting, licking and gasping into the kiss as banda gave in everything he could too. pulling her closer by her waist, he wanted to swallow more and more from the familiar, sweet feeling he felt every time he made love to her.
in that moment, as they communicated with only touches, kisses, moans and gasps, they both knew they didn't want to get back to the normal world, the world they lived in before. y/n didn’t want to take meds, and banda didn’t want to see her again in that hopeless state. whatever tantrum or attack she gets, he’s gonna help her, as he did before. and banda, he didn’t want to get back because of the death sentence, and because this was the most beautiful world he ever lived in –with all its brutal rules and games. y/n didn’t want to be away from him too, they wanted to be crazy and bad together as long as death didn’t take them apart.
they loved each other stronger than any law and boundary. and in this world, nothing could stop them from being together.

Y/n Pov
It's now been 20 minutes since I split up with Izaniya and Alissah
And there was no sign of a living human after a few more minutes of looking around , I decided to turn back around and head back to  Shybuia Crossing
On my way back I made sure to store at a near by convince store
'Might as well take what we need' I thought
Grabbing three bottles of water , three bags of chips {of your choice } , and three health bars that were strawberry flavor
Grabbing a bag as I pace the items inside , heading out of the store as I step back on the streets of Shybuia heading for Shybuia Crossing
Once I arrived at Shybuia crossing , I sat in the middle of the road since there seemed to be no moving vehicles anyways taking out my chips and health bar as I start to eat waiting for Izaniya and Alissah to arrive
After 15 minutes of waiting , I lol up to hear slight jogging , looking up to see Izaniya and Alissah nothing coming toward me as they come to a complete hault , hands on their knees as they both took deep breaths
Y/n: Are you guys okay or.. *raises a brow at the two *
Alissah : Yeah , but I couldn't fine anyone * stands up straight *
Izaniya : Me either * looks between me and Alissah*
After 5 minutes of complete silence, we started to try and figure out/ discuss what ever we thought could be going on at the time
While we were trying to figure out what was going on , a screen suddenly lit up causing us to turn our heads towards the screen
'This way to Arena'
Alissah : Arena *confused as she looks at me and Izaniya*
Y/n: I don't know , let's check it out *looks at Alissah then down the road*
After a few seconds of deciding we started to head left down the road that the arrow pointed for us to follow
Taking out my pocket knife holding it tight incase we needed to protection , heading down the road as we pass lots of abandoned cars
The farther , the more we saw arrows leading to god knows what
Now don't get me wrong , I never been afraid of anything, but when everyone suddenly disappears leaving just you and your two best friends then your going to freak out a bit to right ...?
