"Fxck you," I spat before scrolling through my feed.
It's not a novel experience to stumble upon a hateful tweet that aimed at discrediting and insulting the group I value. Stray Kids is not the only group having trolls and spiteful nobodies riding on their coattails and gaining clout from their fellows and those of us who are geared to slice off their fingers... quite violent, but that's often the image I have just wondering if I could pull the account user from the screen and get a hold of them. — I really ought to have better control of my violent mindset when truly angered. // because seriously, why must I have such strong emotions in a platform full of unserious and cloutchasing content?
However, as our esteemed leader, Bang Chan, said, our intentions to protect them from hate is appreciated yet it is also our methods which determine whether we protect them or only drag their reputation to the ground. (I see some stubborn mules still proud of themselves like rebellious kids who point their noses up to the heavens despite being told to re evaluate their attitudes and actions)
Do I speak too formally or too vaguely or maybe in ways that are best used in those old texts used for academic reading? I probably sound pretentious. But that's how it is when I'm exhausted trying to make my words as simple as possible, making it seem as if I have mastered the language of the internet (more so in the limited characters on Twitter). At least, even in a mini reflection on this "blog", I can share a long and tedious essay on why I simply curse a tweet and twitter user out loud and scroll away as a compromise to control publicizing my seething hatred and vehement opposition for an anonymous account.
I'd rather be a rock but a rock does not have ears to listen, eyes to see, nor a mouth and a voicebox to sing along when Stray Kids release an album—but a rock is something I'd gladly kick towards a meanspirited nobody who is now earning clout because my fellows decide to RT, QRT, reply or SC the damn thing.
I really want to write a REAL letter to all of you. Maybe one day I” ll do it.
Dear Chan, please do not blame yourself. That’s not your fault. That’s not your mistake. Please get a full breath, close your eyes and just let it all go. I know that things aren’t solved like that, but sometimes we all need to stop for a while, stand still, and then again begin to go forward. This is normal. Everything will be fine. The all Internet shouting ‘‘OT9′‘ and so on. But I think that’s no matter if you are eight or nine in Stray Kids BECAUSE first of all you are friends and brothers. And in this fact, I can say that every one of you always and forever is OT9 for each other. Woojin is alive! He breathes the same air and sees the same stars in the sky. You still can take care of each other. It may not be an open action, but neatly and carefully. Still, we do not know what happened in the group. Guys, you have the right to cry, to be angry or not to feel anything at all. Please talk to each other. And talk to him too. Even if you don’t want to talk anyway. Feelings are more easily manifested in words, in lyrics. Emotions should not hurt you. Now you all have each other. You are still and always will have each other. Do not worry about it alone. STAY will always be by your side. Be strong.
