Omg we’re leaving for the con tomorrow afternoon already???

Since it’s only two days I’m doing Hello Kitty on Saturday, and Louise Belcher on Sunday, my head is too sore from botox to wear wigs twice and the Denki one is the tightest, so he has to rest until next time!

So, thoughts on Banzaicon 10 Homecoming

I'll be posting pics from the con later, but for now I'll just talk about how banzaicon was this year.

I had a good time cosplaying with friends, seeing other cosplayers and buying from the artstands. However I was a little disappointed.

Because of the downsizing of the con it was pretty hard to get around, with people crowding and I was pretty overwhelmed.

Unfortunately a lot of people were not great at being considerate of other people's cosplays, and would push through roughly without apology, and pulling on part of my friend's cosplay.

That was not the fault of the con though.

What I found more disappointing from the arrangement side was the choice to place the artstands in the main hall, with the main stage. This meant that the artstands were rendered nearly completely inaccessible every time something happened on the main stage, as it got very crowded, and they switched the lights off.

And there was often something happening on the main stage.

I feel bad for the artstand owners.

The food options, while tempting, were also a little disappointing, as they had no options for my friend with a milk allergy. Only lactose free or gluten free, nothing could be made without dairy.

Dealers Hall also felt a little bare to me, compared to previous years.

But we did have fun meeting others, seeing cosplay friends we haven't met in a while, and watching the various contests and other on stage happenings.

Anime Conventions!!!

Anime Conventions, what’s the deal with them? Well I’m going to tell you just so. Pretty much anime conventions are like your comic conventions like the popular San Diego Comic Con, where you go to into these big convention center buildings, to meet up with other comic book, movie, tv show, video game, and yes anime fans, dress up in super awesome cosplay from any series you like, shop for cool items and merchandise, and possibly meet amazingly iconic actors, voice, and creators to make these series come to life. As a anime fanatic, I’ve been to several anime conventions places like Banzaicon and Nashicon that are located in my home state capital, Columbia, South Carolina. Those conventions are held by the USC Columbia campus for the public to enjoy, which I can say I’ve always wanted to go back. Most popular anime conventions would be held in somewhere in Japan, but a popular anime convention in the U.S. is definitely Anime Expo. Anime Expo is the largest one in America, and possibly up there with San Diego Comic Con. It’s located where all the creation and action happens, Los Angeles, California. This convention is definitely something that I’ve dreamed about it going to, and finally meeting voice actors and creators that inspired me. Hopefully, one day I will in the future!

This fall is gonna be so nice, like???

Walks in the woods, lotta sims, focusing on writing Petals and other fanworks as I’m taking time off other writing jobs until the surgery, watching my parents’ house and pets for two week in early sept, bi-weekly Gilmore Girl nights with E, Supernatural Sundays with my cousin, mall days, hangs every other Saturday with bestie, long baths, rewatching fav shows, Banzaicon in October, all that good stuff!!
