#baraboo river
Note
Wait I didn't see you were looking for Wisconsin spots. I'm a northern Wisconsin resident and I got suggestions for you from known to unknown
Rock point Door county, the dells boat tours, and Baraboo are obvious options to visit. The horicon marsh, tomahawk, eagle river, marionette, Whitefish Dunes State Park, kettle moraine, Dells of the Eau Claire County Park
All of these responses are the best because at the time, I was falling asleep on I-90 and looking desperately for a random stop in case I needed to emergency stop at a motel. And now I have an extremely long running list for the next time I am in that situation!

Also: can you skip rocks? (I know the answer, but I want you to brag a bit)
Thanks for asking my honey 🥰
21. My dry sense of humor - but if we’re talking about a possession, there’s that kitty pillow in the window seat that I’ve had forever.
22. Hmmm - categorization? Male, cisgendered, heterosexual, polyamorous, educated, smart, geeky, quiet, shy, passionate, thoughtful, tender-hearted. I’d like to think I’m good and sweet, but I need someone else to be the judge there.
23. I rather like chilly weather. Winter sits well with me for the nostalgia factor, and gives me an excuse to make hot chocolate after every outing.
24. Watching passersby below, gazing at the stars, having a drink or two, and cuddling 💕
33. Took a little trip out to the Forevertron sculpture park and a little exploration of downtown Baraboo, which oddly, I’d never done before, even though it’s so close.
34. The only ones I really know are those where I had the lyrics in the CD insert. There are a few, but I’ll go with Dam That River by Alice in Chains, because I can sing it (sort of) while playing the bass part.
49. Skip rocks? I can skip the fuck out of rocks 😆 I can get six or seven skips out of them on a good day. I learned from my dad, who got a rock to skip out on a lake to an ice floe, and got it back when it floated up to the shore and beached itself.

This rock art was found some years ago in a relatively large rockshelter near the Baraboo River in Juneau County. The shelter had formed along a fault-line in the local sandstone. Historic glyphs are common near the entrance, particularly on a flat panel on the north wall. Some date at least to 1907. Three large versions of "turkey track" glyphs were observed along the walls of the northern fork towards the rear of the shelter. These were probably carved by late prehistoric Native American artisans, as similar symbols have been found on rock art and Oneota ceramics across the Midwest.
