BARRE PHILLIPS | tema: I suoni che si possono fare. svolgimento: prima di Barre Phillips suona T.Z. che non è un rapper ma un signore che si presenta e dice "sono un sessantaduenne disoccupato" ed è molto difficile pensare alla sua esibizione accantonando queste parole. I suoi suoni sono dapprima minimi e quasi irrisori, poi succede qualcosa e si crea una trama, diventano concetti. Non mi aspetto di capirli, in questo spazio-distanza, però è sempre una grande interrogazione quando qualcuno ti presenta dei suoni perché dietro ci sono le sue letture del mondo e, appunto, del suono. La sua chitarra si prende tutto lo spazio, sembra acciaio ma non è mai robotica, dentro c'è Blade Runner e c'è anche un'infinita musica naturale e quasi verdeggiante. Quando Barre Phillips comincia a suonare, io penso che lui non sia presente: nel senso che il suono lo precede. Gli occhi piccoli e scuri in penombra sono biglie opache. Un alieno: con quelle orecchie grandi rosse quasi trasparenti sotto i faretti è E.T. con le sue mosse lente. Il miracolo concertistico è inverso ed è l'arrivo di Barre Phillips: il suo lento manifestarsi, con dolcezza e una falcata immaginaria. Ma non come un'apparizione; è il contrario della dissolvenza, una cosa omerica, colpisce molto perché è un diffondersi della sua presenza. La cosa cruciale dello spettacolo è che queste poche stupidaggini non appartengono a loro, ma sono tutte mie: possono essere false, ma sono vere esclusivamente per me esclusivamente in questa serie di suoni. Le creazioni di due uomini in due età che vengono di solito considerate fuori dal ciclo produttivo (o meglio per T.Z. in uno status da lui stesso descritto come, da questo ciclo, escluso per potenziali decine di ragioni) sono delle aperture esponenziali per tutti gli altri presenti. Tavaly Pándi Balázs felhívására sok fiatal jelentkező bújt elő és izgalmas produkciók láttak nap-, vagyis inkább holdvilágot az első JazzaJ OPEN STAGE alkalmával. Most az Újbuda Jazz Fesztivál részeként egy nagyobb színpadot nyitunk ki a vállalkozó szellemű, bemutatkozni vágyó alkotók előtt. Minden regisztrált jelentkezőnek 10 perc áll a rendelkezésére, hogy bemutassa aktuális zenei projektjét.

Jelentkezéshez egy pár mondatos bemutatkozó szöveget és projekttervet várunk erre az email címre: jazzzzzzzaj@gmail.com További izgalmakat jelenthet, hogy a fesztivál részeként a Szelevényi-Porteleki duó és a Barre Phillips trió játszik majd az Open Stage szekció előtt.
