Views from the road from the last ride of 2022. I got in 1800+ miles this year on the bike which is good considering I was off the bike for 3 months recovering from hernia surgery and having #basalcell removed from my noggin and chest #optoutside #getoutside #nye #roadslikethese #cycling #cyclinglife #cyclinglifestyle https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm2VLlHuJE8/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
I know you’ve heard me talk about my basal cell carcinomas before. I’m going to keep talking about them, if need be. And if it reminds even one person to put on sunscreen with a high SPF, then I’m happy.

This is the last day of #SkinCancerAwareness month and we are sending you off with some incredible statistics about #Melanoma from our Nurse Practitioner Jessica Arnold when she spoke last week at the La Quinta Public Library event! Be sure to see your #Dermatologist for a full body skin screening to catch any suspicious spots early. #sundamage #basalcell #squamouscell #Dermatology #skincancer #LaQuinta #PalmSprings #RanchoMirage (at La Quinta Public Library)
Please be careful with sun exposure. Make sure you and your loved ones wear hats, sunglasses, sunblock etc. If you have any strange spots, get them checked out. I had a spot on my nose for more than a year that I never would have guessed was cancer. I had my dermatologist look it over and a biopsy revealed basal cell. This is highly treatable, especially if diagnosed early. So please be mindful, especially if you have a history in your family😊
Go see your #dermatologist . We were all blessed to grow up here in the Sunshine State; land of the baby oil and iodine ... “You're at risk for skin cancer if you spend prolonged amounts of time in the sun without taking proper precautions to cover up or use sunblock. You're also more at risk if it runs in your family or if you have a fair complexion. Another reason to watch out for skin cancer is if you've had severe sunburn at any point in your childhood.” I’ve had #squamouscell a few times and #basalcell too many times. Now two biopsies this week almost on top of my most serious squamous surgery scar ... . . . . . #runnergirl #runnersofinstagram #runjax #ihavearunnersbody #irunthisbody #strongnotskinny #fitmom #beatyesterday #runningcommunity #runhappy #momswhorun #running #igersjax #tattedpastorswife #tattedmom #inkedrunner #Duval #Jacksonville #inked #PastorWifeLife #jaxsquared #atleastamile (at Jacksonville, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bn_L1nkBAVJ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=13vvvhreqz6j1
Linear BCC is a distinct clinical entity, first described by Lewis in 1985. The particular region was the most affected. Presence of the tumor along relaxing skin tension lines, increase in subclinical extension. It is suggested that margin controlled excision should be considered for linear BCC.
For those of you lucky enough to be away this March break don't forget to use your SPF! Sun burns are the. Ew smoking! 😎 #spf #protectyourskin #skincare #photodamage #melanomaawareness #basalcell #springbreak #marchbreak #sunburn #sundamage #wrinklesbegone #hyperpigmentation #nursesorders
Healing up quite nicely IMO. The journey is not over however, having more #basalcellcarcinoma removed from my upper chest in a couple of weeks. For my fellow #cyclists, yes, just about the point we unzip our jerseys to when it is hot out. #skincancer #skincancerprevention #skincancerawareness #basalcellskincancer #basalcell #cycling https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg1t2NNOT5c/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Basal cell carcinomas are locally invasive in the rule. They tend to fall on the floor and no metastasis to distant sites (spread).
Basal cell carcinomas can be removed by scraping and burning (electrocautery and curettage). Large basal cells can be removed by surgery.
Most basal cell carcinomas are on the face and neck, where the skin is exposed to sunlight. However, many appear on body parts such as the abdomen, legs and scalp little or is not exposed to sunlight leather.
The basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer worldwide, 80% of all diagnosed cases of skin cancer.
Warning Signs
