Jikook Week 76 Complete (20/05-27/05/2025)

Jikook have finalized their 76th week in the military and have apparently both been in Japan, presumably using up their remaining leave before their official discharge in just over two weeks. The timeline is filled with speculation of what Festa 2025 will look like and if we will see new music from the guys (we still don't know what they recorded with J Balvin and we haven't yet solved the "keep going" mystery.)

This week in 2017 BTS were in Las Vegas to attend the BBMAs. Watching the Bangtan Bomb from the visit their excitement at being at such a huge industry event is palpable.

On the plane to Las Vegas, Jimin, Jin and V talked about how nervous and happy they were to be attending the BBMAs and thanked ARMY for making it possible.

The cameras were on them right from when they touched the ground on 20/05 and didn't let up until they left the US. Everybody wanted a piece of BTS during their visit.

JK wore a "You Never Walk Alone" cap. In 2022, this BTS lyric later appeared on the hoodie that Jimin designed for their artist made merch.

First stop was to record their Billboard welcome message. Here they are getting ready to film.

Four of the members went to the theatre that night but Jikook and Joon apparently "fell into a deep sleep because of jet lag".

The next day was the show itself.

The nervous excitement was reaching a fever pitch and Jimin decided to film everybody as they prepared to hit the red carpet.

Jim Cam also recorded JK and couldn't resist giving him the complement he so rightly deserved.

The fans were out in force as they took their turn in front of the camera. It was a whirlwind of short soundbite interviews with Jikook exuding a hint of the power couple energy that has only got stronger with the passing of the years.

After a brief rest and a Live from the lounge,

the show began and ARMY was out in force making their presence felt with the fan chant.

And then the moment of truth, BTS beat out Justin Beiber, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes and Selena Gomez as Top Social Artist.

Look at how happy they were. BTS really were paving the way!

After all that did they get time for a break and bask in the glory of their first BB win? Absolutely not by the 25th May they were already arriving in Sydney for the continuation of the Wings Tour. 2017 was non-stop for the members and this must be one of the reasons, Jikook's escape to Tokyo at the end of October has always been so precious to them both. If they have been together in Japan over the last few days, I hope they made new unforgettable memories as they prepare for the new chapter that begins in June.

Mile-markers and the BBMAs...

The Path we each navigate in life is marked by countless mile-markers and signs. You know, that one that says, "it's your birthday!", or "you graduated!", or "you made it through that challenge!"... Sometimes those mile-markers are a reminder of achievements, and sometimes they are a reminder of the hard work you put into life.

Everyone has their path and their own way that these things are recognized. I kinda see the BBMAs, MMAs, the Grammys, Oscars, and all awards like that. Simply mile-markers.

None of those awards actually mean anything that is tangible other than that which the orgaizations attach to them. It doesn't make or break an artist. It certainly does NOT determine how talented one is, or anything else. In my book of life, that is....

It isn't worth the energy drain to get upset, angry, or anything else, over the BBMAs. It's just a racket just like everything else in the entertainment industry. It's just not something that will tell us anything we don't already know about Jimin, Jungkook, TXT, New Jeans, Yoongi, or anyone else for that matter.

If you listen to your favorite artist's music then you already know why you love them, how talented they are, and why their music is important in the larger music scene.

Every time there is some type of major awards show, we see some variation of the same thing, the same issues, and the same spouting of angst and anger... I just personally feel that we can use our energy in a much better way. Adding anger into the Collective over this or that really does nothing other than help to magnify the energy of anger around the world. Yeah.

I'd suggest (as it's something I do daily) taking that energy and shift it into a positive form. Send that positive energy out to the world instead, where it is needed. That would actually have a better impact than to rant and rave over something that we have zero control over.

After all, we are all sharing this little planet and we are all responsibile for the energy that we contribute every single day. All energy that every Human generates AFFECTS every other Human. Yeah.

ARMY can be a force for Good, when they choose to be. Think about it. We can certainly Collectively do a LOT of Good when we choose to send positive and healing energy out into the world. Much better than the opposite.

Be a Force for Good. That's the way we can best help make a difference. 💜🌏💜
