Diaspora Calling highlights the process of various African cultures transcending across borders without losing its heritage. Food, music, and art will be celebrated, expressed and explored through the many dimensions Africa’s nations have transcended. The African Diaspora has reached and impacted every continent in the world, and this year we are calling a celebration for where it all began.
V for Vanity: Dec 20th - Jan 5th, 2020
V for Vanity is a neon light show activation by Afrochella's Community Engagement Director and Creative Director, Vernell Akyeampong. This year's theme is - Telling a story of Yesterday Today & Tomorrow. Attendees can pick up physical wrist bands, and purchase festival merchandise while navigating through the activation primed for social media sharing.
Afrochella Talks: West African Edition
Afrochella Talks is a conversation series dedicated to discussions on African business, music, food, and the creative industry. The focus of the discussions are to provoke a shift in how Africa and the African diaspora can capitalize on the many facets of each industry. There will experts from various fields participating in panel discussions with audience members.
1. Visual Story Telling: Communicating Progress | August 24th, 2019

2. Off The Top (Live) | September 28th, 2019
Ghana's 'Off the Top' Youtube series will have a live show for a special Afrochella festival edition. The trivia-based show features millennial cast members that are tested on their knowledge of various subjects from religion, culture, mathematics, science and more. Afrochellans can participate in all the fun ad their live show.
3. Africa Open For Business | November 8th, 2019

Afrochella Feeds: Dec 27th
Afrochella Feeds' mission is to bring awareness and improve hunger in Ghana. In alignment with The SDG, the Zero Hunger initiative Afrochella will aid the nation by providing over 500 meals from The Afro Food Truck. The Food truck will travel across various Ghanaian communities from Madina Zongo to Labadi (Light House) Circle.

Afrochella Reads: Dec 30th
Afrochella will be renovating and repainting the Genesis school of orphans (formerly known as NOYAA) in Jamestown, Greater Accra region. The school was recently demolished and the land sold, leaving the students to study under tents for the remainder of their last term. Afrochella is inviting the African Diaspora to aid the students with school supplies through monetary donations to help us collectively reach our goal fostering the importance of “Quality Education”. This is the 4th goal listed on Ghana’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals In partner with the UN.

Royalty Night - Jan 1st, 2020
A New Years Gala and awards ceremony. In harmony with the Year Of Return, African Royalty Night will celebrate ancestry in a night of indulgence, elegance and African print. The night will acknowledge the diversity of African life through the lenses of its people, nobles, statesmen and royalty. Culture Management Group will honor individuals within the community elevating Africa within the four pillars of Afrochella - Culture Empowerment, Art, Music and Food.

Afrochella Experiences - Dec 31st - Jan 3rd, 2020
Travel through Ghana uncovering the history and culture of the country through curated experiences with Afrochella’s Experience team. The tours consist of food crawls, discovering iconic gardens, Cape Coast exploration and much more.
