#i’m actually going to scream#bc when are we ever going to fucking get DYKE REPRESENTATION#so many of the trending tags rn are of trending mlm media#and like.#don’t get me wrong#i really like & enjoy a lot of them#& i’m happy that there is such an increase in representation#to the point where there are not only romcoms but vampire shows#fantasy etc that feature queer men#like genuinely i’m glad they exist not only bc i like them but bc it makes me happy to know what that people can feel seen#and yet i wish i had that for myself#bc even if there is representation we are relegated to side characters#and the little representation is not actually for us#it’s either for ~allys~ or fetishizers#just look at movies like#h*ppiest season#or how fucking 99% of relationships are femme4femme#bc how dare they depict a queer woman who won’t get a straight man off#this is fully a rant i’m not even pretending this is genuine media critique#but i am just so angry and exhausted at this point#representation of queer women is so nonexistent#i’m so sick of it#i’m sick of even if we’re depicted we’re never centered#or it’s cancelled after one goddamn season or sanitized so heavily#i don’t even have words#i’m just so tired of this bullshit#putting this in tags again bc i don’t want to start discourse i’m just kvetching 💀#personalish#notes from underground#lollll
