i think the best like thing about the two big butler/charge ships i have (w one obviously being artemis and the other tony from this fic series) is that.

well, w artemis hes obviously taking on a sort of parental role. hes certainly a more active part of raising artemis than his actual parents. its not a 1:1 bc sr. IS still alive, but like, its there. the butler/charge dynamic is also ofc very on contract! anything that happens romantically oe sexually is going to absolutely wildly shock the foundations of their relationship as well as be absolutely terrifying and thrilling for all sorts of reasons. wildly taboo. this is ofc hot. i do want them to but it can ofc wait until artemis is old enough to be making first moves.

w tony tho! their age gap isnt that big! 5 years! tonys a teenager, sure, but butlers barely an adult! hes also the only thing keeping tony alive - sure, thats his job, but also now maybe tony doesn't hate that he is? how fucking significant!! by the time tonys 18 hes going to be so wildly head over heels for this man, and like, the domesticity of living in malibu w dummy&u... raising the bots together... this is a very DIFFERENT and frankly very off-contract butler/charge relationship, but do u honestly think tony ever read the contract?? no ofc not. howard did all that shit.

and in both cases the ship is very much bodyguard/charge but the context!!! the context makes it. im just rambling but i love butler.
