i do also use 200 diamonds a week (like 1 pull so i feel the cost is not bad) to get extra kitty card and crane game chances (each new badge/plushie is 250 affinity i think) this is probably my best source of affinity (besides r3ing cards)

i also try to farm any text messages/moments post i can (usually via specific photos taken in glint + the snapshot thingy)

i also level as many of his cards as i can, i have a lvl80 awakened 5* I MEANT 3* for him skksksk

and then ofc always go his gravity orbit

i also have......6 r3 cards for him....i got rather lucky on his release standard banner, 4 of the r3 are his standard cards (i had a ton of tickets saved + got lucky enough to pull 2 calebs from the perma banner)

i also pulled a full caleb memory from the radiant galaxy recently!! use coords 88-11! took me like 15-20 magnets and i got hidden waves (and also some intertwined golds - his LNY event 4*)

1.Liverpool

potentially a controversial opinion but this is Nice As Hell! i know a lot of people said the collars are ugly but like idk it’s kinda giving if you ask me. it’s bold, it’s a statement. i love retro. this is just a good kit. it’s doing bits without doing too much. simple, tasteful, plus a little subtle pizzazz with those jaunty ass stripes - werk it ladies!

plus this kit is made from recycled plastic bottles, nice job! save those turtles liverpool!

apparently the pattern spells out ynwa, which i’m totally Not seeing (maybe i misunderstood this). i’m getting a Y, and then like an H in there maybe? and then i’m just lost, so not sure you hit the mark with that one, but love you for trying! it’s a cool pattern regardless, so i’d maybe just ditch the whole symbolism jargon and stick with that. overall nice job guys - 9/10

bonus points for that prematch shirt, love the detailing on it very sexy top marks

2. Arsenal

sorry arsenal fans, this shit is ugly as fuckkkkk - i’m not even being biased or trying to start fights (for once) it’s just like so hideous. i didn’t really like last season’s but compared to this that was a masterpiece. it’s so PLAIN! the weird red splodge is like not flattering at all and the blue? what’s that all about? also i fucking hate the back it looks like a used period pad, so hopefully the numbers fix that.

praying for your sakes you get a nice third kit or something bc this is ass.

also i’m a HATER for minimalist badge designs. this cannon logo makes the shirt look like a uniform for a museum volunteer. don’t get me wrong - arsenal is not the only culprit. what has a good old crest ever done to you? why do we hate maximalism? why do we hate fun? - 4/10

3. Manchester City

now this is fine. it’s just fine. it’s objectively nice, but it’s also objectively boring! as! fuck! the solid blue is clean but a little too flat. something looks off. it’s missing something. idk it’s nice ig, but it also seems identical to last season? if i saw these pics with no context i’d literally think it was from this year, but that’s the case with most top tier clubs it seems. have some fun guys! push the boat out! where’s the whimsy? but yeah anyway it’s alright.

at least they tried with the sleeves. allegedly they have the manchester dialling code 0161 on them but i mean - do they? do they really? because it looks like a bus seat to me. city fans decide for yourself i guess, because i for one won’t be getting close enough to a city shirt to look

it’s also made from recycled waste textiles so yay again! probably made from all the city shirts people threw out after they all but fucked the title 🤭 - 7/10

4. Tottenham Hotspur

wow spurs this is nice. it’s just so clean, so crisp. my normal issue with spurs kits is their absolute undying commitment to being plain as fuck. they picked one colour, white - arguably the most boring colour of all, arguably even the total absence of colour - and stuck to it. this however? it’s simplicity done well. it’s still plain and simple, but in a gorgeous sexy way. those navy retro colourblock sleeves? stunning! the crispest white you’ve ever seen? stunning! the tiniest of sleeve embellishments? stunning! simplicity done well. it’s just so crispy. pleases my eye.

also huge respect to them for not jumping of the band wagon with the whole ‘every shirt must have ugly details with symbolic meaning we grasped at straws to come up with in order to do something new and edgy’. spurs said no! they said ‘oh this? yeah this is a football shirt. what does it mean? it means football shirt.’ thanks spurs, good job - 9.5/10

5. Crystal Palace

ummmm. now. hmm. uhh. what? this is, um, what? give me a second to get my thoughts in order. i don’t know what is happening here and i’m at a loss for words.

right. crystal palace. inaugural season in the wsl. making a statement. making a splash. right. here’s the thing. i’m always saying wsl kits are too boring. i’m always saying we want fun patterns and whimsy. i’m looking at this in genuine confusion because i actually do not know what is going on here. do i like it? not sure? do i hate it? also not sure?

i think i kind of like it? but i also kind of hate it? it’s insanely busy, it’s probably the most garish kit i’ve ever seen in my life. i think part of the problem is that the club doesn’t have a great colour palette to work from. it’s very bright. i do love the pattern of the eagle crest in the blue, that’s a huge win from me. it’s just those spray paint red splatters that’s throwing me off. it looks like they spent ages making a lovely blue eagle pattern and then remembered they needed red in there so just used the funky spray tools on microsoft paint to draw over the top. it’s giving shit cgi blood splatter in a low budget zombie film. it’s like the barcelona shirts if they were designed by a gcse art student on an acid trip.

the more i’m looking at it however, i’m kind of loving it? kinda camp i guess. this one could be a grower. i’m still confused. at least they’ll make a splash in the wsl - 6/10

6. Manchester United

you’d think by now that i would have learnt to not get my hopes up with this club. remember the long long list of disappointments from yanited this season that i never shut up about? yeah, add this kit to that list.

listen it’s not awful. it’s not ugly, it’s not an eyesore. at the very least, it’s classic united. but it’s just so! bloody! dull! i’m literally falling asleep looking at it. it’s a t-shirt. its literally just a t-shirt. the problem is they set the bar too high last year, with that beautiful pattern and beautiful shade of red. and now, in proper united style, we’re straight back to mediocrity.

let’s talk details. oh wait, they aren’t ANY. there is nothing to say about this kit because there is nothing going ON with this kit. i like the white stripes. that’s it. theres the ombré red at the bottom, which is like- it’s okay. problem is - there’s like four too many shades of red on this shirt, and none of them are that nice. it needs a pattern or something! a pop! a little pizzazz! not a fan of the curved back panel, but it does look a whole lot better than arsenal’s at least.

this is absolutely nothing groundbreaking but it’s fine. it’s just so fucking plain. i know my girls will still serve in it, but i hoped for more. of course, in true united fashion: it’s the hope that kills you - 6/10

7. Chelsea

the tagline for this release is 'we burn blue', because 'the hottest part of the flame burns blue'. congrats on passing year seven chemistry guys. anyway, with that in mind, this kit is, naturally of course, patterned with a mystery blue LIQUID. im not seeing flames in any part of this kit. literally how is this meant to look like fire. this tagline is pure bollocks. it literally could not look more like water if it tried. aka, the opposite of fire.

the kit itself, i'm honestly struggling to form an opinion. i dont think i hate it, but i dont love it either. it may have been easier to figure out if i could actually SEE the kit in any of the release photos, instead of some stupid fucking slow motion blur effect. this pic makes mayra look like she's undergoing mitosis. poor girl's been through enough. it says a lot that in your official kit release you're actively preventing me from looking at the kit.

its not awful? i'm not a fan of these kind of realistic graphics on kits, just makes it look fake and cheap, but like, idk its kinda cool ig. the more i look the more i'm down with it. the colours are nice. its shiny. i'm glad we've gone for originality at least. patterns are fun. - 7.5/10

8. Brighton

i missed this release bc i saw the pictures and genuinely did not realise it was a different kit oops. i do feel bad for clubs who have committed to a striped kit because honestly there’s not really many ways you can play with that. but also that’s kind of their own fault. there’s really not much you can say about this. the sleeves are white this time… okay… there’s a faint pinstripe down each stripe… okayyy… yep that’s kind of it really.

it’s clean, it’s classic brighton, it’s a decent kit. there’s just genuinely nothing new about this. it’s fine. they just clearly couldn’t be bothered and i respect that. - 6/10

9. West Ham

okay we’re doing turtlenecks now apparently!! interesting choice!! i think it kinda looks fuckass silly but also i kind of like it actually. bit of fun innit. good stripes.

the rest of the kit is pretty mid. plainer than a toast sandwich. except for the sleeves! because this year, not only are they bringing in turtlenecks, west ham have decided to also bring in milkmaid sleeves! why is it like that? like is it just a weird bad fit or have they put a fucking elasticated band on? who’s idea was that? what is going on! also am i having a stroke or has the badge changed colour. because it looks fucking hideous. what did they do that for.

i do love the fact they did this shoot in a pub though. very funny. and the kit isn’t too bad. i like the stripes - 6/10

10. Leicester

this is the plainest most boring kit i have ever seen with my own two eyes. that is literally all i can say about this. boring. much like the city of leicester itself.

however - the women have a different kit sponsor to the men and i respect that so you can have one bonus point - 4/10

11. Everton

i’ll be totally honest - i wasn’t expecting everton to give me like the best kit of the bunch. this is the kit for me. i like this one a lot. castore may be mega shit quality but at least they don’t just copy paste all their kits.

i fucking love the pattern here. it’s subtle but it’s nice! and it’s different! we’re not doing any mad shit like chelsea, we’re not doing absolutely nothing at all like leicester. the perfect middle ground of the blue kits. the sponsor is hideous but i’m ignoring that. this is just lovely to look at. stylish, sleek. it’s giving high quality bus seats. this is no stagecoach, this is private hire only. i just love it. and then to top it all off, just the perfect amount of collar detailing. i would be a happy toffee if i was wearing this. gorgeous. loses half a point because the badge fell off during the game which is hysterical.- 9.5/10

12. Aston Villa

this is just the west ham kit if west ham were normal. it’s nothing to write home about, but i do like it. i like the block sleeves and the stripe colour. i like the subtle stripes down the side. i like the simplicity. i like the collar stripes. i even like the flat badge. also i’m assuming this is a betting sponsor which sucks but i do have to say that the sponsor looks great with this kit. it blends in, which is rare. this is a clean, classic kit, and i’m glad that at least one team could be normal. i don’t like that there’s pretty much nothing i can make fun of here. unfortunate for me, good for villa. good job - 8/10

note - all this was written as soon as each club released their kit, so some of my opinions have changed, and a lot have grown on me (looking at you united), but i’ve left the review untouched so you can get purely my honest first impression.

This is not a complaint bc people are really nice about it but whenever I'm selling my work I'll have aquaintances say like "I don't use postcards/wear badges sorry, but I'd love a t-shirt, why don't you make some t-shirts?"

and then I'll answer that I'd love to sell shirts, but that with all the expenses like buying the blank shirts and renting a screen printer or having it done, I'll have to do some saving for a while until I can risk that venture.

and they're always so genuinely suprised that 1) it requires so much money upfront 2) You don't just walk into one of those "printed while you wait!" novelty stores to get sellable shirts.

Like again I'm not annoyed by it bc they do listen to my explanation and I always appreciate that, but I do wish there would be like a tiktok knitting hype or whatever so everyone quickly realizes how much money goes into supplies

eating: made deb smittenkitchen's delicious carrot cake recipe. mine was a little ugly but really really delicious. i bought a bag of preshredded carrots and just sort of roughly chopped em up a little smaller because i couldn't be assed to grate them. i also couldn't be assed to trim the cakes, i did two smaller round pans and stacked them up but because i didn't trim them they were a little wibbly. oh well.

i'm going to bake another cake for my brother's birthday next weekend and i'm between her chocolate olive oil cake (looks really easy) and bittersweet chocolate and pear cake (a little more involved but highly recommended by bee)

misc: my mom wanted to take a sailing class but didn't want to do it alone so she offered to pay for me to come. sure, said i! i have never sailed! i like learning new skills! reader, it is So Fucking Hot Outside. the wind died and we had to get towed back to shore. the sun was so strong. there are so many ropes with all different names and they all Do Something. sunday's class got cancelled/rescheduled because the weather was That Bad (hot as fuck and no wind) so we're doing it probably friday instead (and saturday. and sunday. it's two weekends in a row of both days at 9am yayyyyy) but i just hope the weather is. better.

though meant to be a gag, these pages from the anthology make me crazy. it's such a minor thing but it shows A) Kristoph would straight up gaslight his little brother even way back then and B) Kristoph had no issues using this form of abuse on Klavier even over mild things like breaking something in the house.

Now I be going off the rails a bit because I haven't played AJ in a hot second so the smaller details may be lost on me. But we do know Kristoph is cold, calculating, willing to play the long game (7 years to be exact) and willing to use his brother in any way that benefits him. He is also not above murdering a little girl. So we can gleam a lot about his character from these things alone.

What I find interesting are two things: 1) Though being the conscious, direct reason Phoenix lost his badge, Kristoph was the only one on the board of attorneys to vote against a strict punishment, and 2) when asked why he killed Zak Gramarye, several black psyche-locks appear (Phoenix's magic ability to see when people are lying.) The black ones, from what we know, imply a secret or other that the individual is subconsciously hiding. For reference the literal only other character in the series seen with black psyche-locks is Athena, and the reason she had hers was due to intense PTSD, as they surrounded the murder of her mother that she witnessed as a child. She couldn't remember what she saw at the time because she had repressed it so heavily, hence the locks.

As for the first point, it is either a way to keep his enemies close (which I believe is most likely, given how paranoid he is), it was a way to mock Phoenix, or he may have felt an ounce of guilt at his actions.

The second implies interesting things for Kristoph. We all know he lies and shit constantly, but telling us there are things even HE isn't aware he's hiding from himself is fascinating and makes me insane in the head. Since it's related to the 7 year old murder case, one can make many guesses. But honestly, one of my lead theories is it pertains to feelings of guilt. It's the one thing we don't ever see Kristoph express over his crimes. Over what he did to Klavier. And I have to think, deep down, he's not this evil guiltless guy. I think a part of him very deep down feels awful for what he did. He probably didn't expect the situation to spiral so far out of his control, resulting in him having to commit murder to cover his secret up. And in order to save himself from the guilt these new, fast-paced developments brought, he had to quickly delude himself into not feeling guilt for it.

(Now granted he DID always plan to kill Misham with the stamp, but my gay ass can't remember if it was the plan to kill Mr. Misham or Vera. Or both.)

Anyhow let me rope this back to the main topic. INCEST !!!

I think with all that we know of Kristoph, he could and sadly probably would do absolutely anything to Klavier so long as it benefited him or sated whatever whims he had. After all, literally all this 7 year BS started bc he just wanted to get Phoenix fired bc he thought he was annoying. PETTY AS FUCK. So I can see him abusing Klavier for equally as petty reasons...although, in my head, I like to believe Kristoph does have a soft spot for Klavier in some ways. He does love his brother and care about him. he just cares about himself way more, so Klavier's own feelings don't really come into play.

And analyzing the "why Kristoph would do it in the first place" is cool and all, but thinking of it from Klavier's perspective is equally as interesting.

Kristoph gaslights him and emotionally abuses him constantly. He puts Klavier down in very subtle ways, quietly getting the idea into his head that Klavier cannot make good decisions for himself, that he's inferior to his older brother, and that his older brother is always correct and just in any disagreement they have. In this way, I can 100% believe Kristoph could gaslight Klavier into believing his own abuse he is experiencing is his fault. Even some of the more vile actions, if you want to get into that territory, would be spun in a way to make Klavier feel like he was asking for it, or that he prompted it, or that in any case it was his fault it happened at all. Kristoph is eloquent and commanding and has a way with words.

Now, while I do love unabashedly dark stuff like that, again, I like to think Kristoph - at the very least a younger Kristoph - would not stoop to such levels even if he wanted to harm Klavier. I can maybe see in this scenario, he does little things here or there but they are infrequent and stay capped at inappropriate touching. He could probably convince Klavier that this is either not inappropriate or even get him to believe he dreamed/imagined it.

In a situation where they had some weird hookup even around the time AJ takes place, this would make the final case a lot harder on Klavier, as he'd have to come to terms with both Kristoph's involvement in these murders but also how he has been treating him.

Maybe later I'll have more concrete ideas, but I do love gavincest so much. Klavier looks up to his older brother so much, it's why he became a prosecutor. So much of how he views himself, his esteem, his self-worth is based on his brother's word. And it's insane to think that when this guy is an internationally famous musical artist. Yet even if millions of people are screaming his name at a concert it means nothing to his ego. Not like his brother.

And then, you have Kristoph, who is portrayed as nothing but a manipulator, a liar, and cold and heartless, yet also very kind and helpful. He's a defense lawyer. He's there for people in need. He was the only one to stick up for Phoenix. His kindness is a front he puts up, but it's a very convincing one, and it makes him seem like the good guy. But he's willing to do some of the most evil shit ever to get what he wants, throw as many people under the bus, etc. Yet we have indication there's something deep, deep down that even he's not aware of that surrounds these things...could be guilt, paranoia, some locked away memory. We don't know. We don't even really know how he feels about Klavier, if Klavier was ever more than just a pawn to him.

So like yeahhh it's cool to think of these two.

the activity indicator lighting up for both new posts and notes activity so that you have to open the side bar to see which one and if you check your notes it doesn't clear the indicator unless you refresh your feed which only clears it for 2 seconds before a new post triggers it

the text selection oh my gooooooooood sucks BIG plus when you select text the mobile pop-up text action menu covers the tumblr text action menu so you have p much no access to any text modifiers within the post editor (like bold, italic, font/format, etc.)

if you can grab and drag tags i haven't found a way of reliably doing it. every time i click on a tag i enter the tag text editor - there doesn't seem to be a surefire place to grab the tag with the intention of changing the order

a lot slower ngl - prob bc of my extensions but opening tumblr as a tab in fennec is fine but from a homescreen shortcut is slow as shit

no quick view of activity - gotta go into the activity feed fully and the preview thumbnails seem smaller than they are on the mobile app? so it's harder to see what post notes are for

anyways! hey guys new oc… based off the hunt event that break in 2 participated in… like what if there was a possibility that break in 2 had a hunt ending instead :3 and basically just a “what if charlie had an ancestor from the ice age”

his name is haily hank he’s psychically 28 but hes probably 100 b.c. years old or something like that because he got frosted into a block of ice when he “died”

to unlock the hunt ending you’d have find him outside near twados house and thaw hank with ur weapon and feed him an apple.. after that you’ll choose the hunt ending. when you meet mary and her henchmen he’ll tackle mary and stun/kill her and probably the other minions, you would also see haily hank carrying chilly charlie in donkey kong style idk

then you’d have to fight against his ice club (ICE BREAKER CRACKY4 REFERENCE!!!) and his primal shit and save chilly charlie instead of larry bc he would give you a token from the event for appreciation ^_^

his dialouge for his interaction:

[As you find Hank inside the ice block, you thaw him free with your weapon.] [Hank shakes the melted ice off him, similar to how a dog would shake water its body.]

for once i have a lil downtime at work (wow!) which gives me a lil time to sort of write down my brainstorming for good ol' Chester Gieke.

lil background would be he's norwegian and his english is not very good but he's making the best of it!

general plan is to have him buy up the electronics store(s) and have servos run them bc why not right? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ more under the cut bc this got long - whoops!

so he'll focus on tinkering which i believe is his OTH and thats fine, but he'll also work up his mechanical/handiness, charisma, logic, and cleaning skills. badges will prob just be focused on any/all to do with the robot crafting bench and robotics. (also like, the register/sales/restocking badges too)

id love for him to be the guy sims call to fix their electronics, right? so basically, in OTHER rotations ill play going forward starting with the tricou lightning round, if a TV/computer/stereo/dishwasher/trash compactor etc etc breaks the sim would naturally call a repairman if they dont have the skills to fix it themselves. INSTEAD, they'll call Chester to come over and he'll fix the item(s) in question for $100/hr. i have a banking mod so i can transfer monies from the household to Chester easily.

with this, he can save up to buy the shops he intends to run w/ servos he builds in his free time. i realize this is not very lucrative, but this is indeed a different version of the rags 2 riches challenge. idk if i'll have him get a job-job in the meantime or just be self-employed/freelance.

he will also probably end up in a relationship with a servo which is kinda fitting lmao - that'll be a side project tho once Chester is a bit more established.

open to thoughts/ideas on how to flesh out Mr. Gieke here! we've got a few rotations before we actually play his lot so there's time to get some brainstorming done for sure!

ok so. i started the last one out like that didn't i? anyways, tim. i started out by stumbling across the military cats jsk during yesterday's coord and in that moment i went "oh! tim mainpiece!" i Could have went full military lolita with this coord but tbh? after all he went through with the moon war i think he needs a break. i think he deserves to have the coord inspired by him to be flouncy and covered in lace. i think i deserve to put together a coord that's flouncy and covered in lace before i tackle the rest of the crew bc steampunk isn't actually a lolita style so lolibrary (lolita database) isn't going to help me and a solid half of 'steampunk lolita' coords out there are ita (lolita slang for coords in violation of the rules of lolita or that are generally tacky). at least i have raphaella and dr carmilla to help me prepare myself for the inevitable (scrolling through archives of aatp pieces until i find something that makes vague amounts of sense).

In all seriousness, though, I think it’s finally time to properly explain some AU stuff! I would’ve posted this earlier, but I was too lazy to save the original and... lost all my work ;-; Anyways, it’s probably for the best cuz I like this one better. The rest of this post is plot so if you don’t care, no need to read ^^

This is Prince from my swap AU! (Couldn’t decide on the bg so you get 2 versions) He replaces Hat Kid as the main character :) For age I’d say maybe around 18-21?

This AU is still very much a WIP, so pretty much anything is subject to change... but, here’s the stuff that probably won’t!

Instead of HATS, Prince uses CROWNS. The names are the same but with “crown” instead (i.e. Sprint Crown). Sprint = Laurel Wreath, Brewing = Glinda’s hat thing lol idk, Ice = stereotypical crown? does this kind have a name?, Dweller = Moon Mask, Time Stop = Clock Hand Tiara :D

The Brewing Crown has Snatcher’s Blue Potions(TM). Inversely, Captor can summon the original Brewing HAT potions. The Dweller’s Mask also works on Captor and any similar ghosts, but this may not be the best idea to use if you aren’t on “fine I guess I won’t kill you” terms bc they can totally still hurt you.

In addition, BADGES are now MAGNETS! They also change slightly as you can see, but it’s pretty much only aesthetic, the basic function remains the same. Biggest change is the Laser Badge(Projectile Badge) fires vertical beams more reminiscent of Snatcher’s. They come out of the ground, but Prince can choose where.

Prince still wields an umbrella, which I didn’t draw because I forgot... his weapon may change later if I have a better idea lol

Prince is very kindhearted, and immediately liked by pretty much everyone. This is, in part, intentional, as he generally takes on the personality of the residents of whatever planet he lands on to better fit in. Naturally, upon landing on Earth, he adapts to the first person he meets: Princess/Vanessa. Whether or not this is a good thing depends entirely on who you ask.

Our boy is still a lawyer, although it may not be a good idea to hire him given he is an alien. There’s a huge pile of books in his room that every visitor to his ship is immediately appalled by. What? They’re made of spun Contrivetonium!

Anyways, thank you if you actually read all that :) I’ll be gradually posting more sheets like this as I flesh out more characters!
