Jackson suddenly woke up from his sudden nap, in the Attending's lounge, due to the sound of the door closing shut. He quickly sat up straighter, seeing Mark stood staring at him. It had been a while since his mentor had shown up on the island, giving everyone a shock. Jackson still felt like he was getting used to the older male being alive again. "I wasn't napping," Jackson protested before Mark could even say anything, now standing up. "I was just resting my eyes."

as jace stares at the assortment of rainbow-colored pastries arranged at his table, he starts to think that maybe his eyes were bigger than his stomach. perhaps he got carried away in his effort to explore everything this strange island had to offer for a change. it’s all so different from the world he knows and this new event only serves to encourage him. but before jace can dig in, he suddenly sees a flash of valyrian white hair in the corner of his eye and he stops, his heart in his throat when he turns. “rhaena?” jacaerys huffs in surprise at the sight of her. “by the gods, is it good to see a familiar face.” a hushed laugh escapes his lips and it's his first real one in ages. there's so much he wants to discuss with her, but he figures that can wait for now. he doesn't want to overwhelm her. “would you care to join me? i need someone to help me taste test these pastries and i can't possibly eat them all on my own.”

She didn’t feel dead, but she didn’t know how something so absurd could be at all possible. But as she walked along the Sunset Cove beach, she could feel the sand beneath her feet, she could feel people brushing up against her. As she walked, she saw the side of someone, and heard the voice that came from them, and her stomach turned into a knotted mess. “I.. M-Mark?” she asked, reaching forward to put her hand on his shoulder. It had to be him. It sounded like him, it looked like him. It had to be.

All she was doing was a simple on-foot patrol near the beach. She hated these days, because it was so hot in her uniform, and Naporia was not at all as crazy as New York. But when she heard a ruckus, she was almost glad. Approaching the scene, she saw one man getting into another's face. "Is this guy bothering you?" she asked Cato, looking at the two men who seemed to be squabbling.

She didn't know what she expected from something that was covered in a pile of rainbow swirled frosting and sprinkles, but it wasn't that. The sugar was almost overkill for her. "It's so sweet," she said, looking up at the person seated at the small table next to hers. "Is that what it's supposed to taste like? I don't remember anything that sweet back in 12."
