"I can honestly say that I think a baby giraffe would probably be more graceful at this," she said, quietly chuckling as she shook her head. "Definitely got me beat in the stability aspect." Ava smiled over at Nora and took a long breath as they moved into the next pose. "We can do a very slow walk..." she suggested. "I honestly don't know how you do this. I feel like I'm going to be sore in some really weird places tomorrow."
"God, you're like a baby giraffe," Nora muttered when her friend toppled over. She was absolutely torn inside about what to feel. Part of her was embarrassed that she was here with her. Part of her got some joy out of watching the struggle. And part of her was a teensy bit guilty for dragging her there. "Fine. But do not expect me to run."

"Gwen? As in like, Guinevere Pendragon?" she questioned, getting excited at thought of the other's answer. When she visited Camelot, she only saw the King and Queen from afar. Plus she was dressed in clothing from that time period so she wouldn't stand out from the crowd. She couldn't let anyone find out she was a time traveler and if they did, she'd have to erase it from their memory. Those rules didn't really matter anymore though.
Gwen laughed, "It's okay. There are probably a lot of people who have no idea what's going on. At least I have a better idea," she replied, always the optimist, "Technology classes? That sounds great actually, I might look into that," she furrowed her brow but still smiled, "Guinevere. Most people call me Gwen though. Why?"

"Thanks," Apple smiled at the reassurance. "I used to work at a bakery before I quit because I was making more money off racing so I'm sure I could come up with something nice." When Lucy Gray suggested Apple tell her about their crush, they blushed a little bit as they thought of her. "She's very kind and sweet; very smart, loves to learn and try new things. She's very talented in the kitchen and she also likes music; has a very versatile taste."
" baking would be perfect ! " lucy gray exclaimed before they'd added on the part about their crush being an amazing cook. " well, as long as it comes from the heart, i'm sure she'd like whatever you do. maybe you could tell me about her and i could help put your words to music that way, " she'd suggested with a grin. lucy gray was a sucker for romance, even if her first relationship had gone sour. her second one proved to be much better, having nothing but happiness with coriolanus. " i know so, " the brunette nodded in response.

"Well, I couldn't have picked a better person to try new things with," Apple said, smiling as they came to a pause in the middle of the shop. "So you guys don't have metaphysical shops where you're from?" she asked. "We didn't either but I stumbled upon it when I first arrived and now it's my favorite store on the island."
"I'm not 100% sure," Sunny admitted, furrowing her brow a little as she thought about it, "There are some things in this world that existed in mine but not everything. For some things, it will be a learning experience for both of us."

Addison laughed softly, shaking her head. “Right, right. Just like you never called yourself McDreamy either, huh?” she teased, leaning back on the couch with a relaxed demeanor. “I’ve heard all the stories. You and Derek had quite the reputation around there." She looked around the office, her curiosity piqued by the new environment. “This place has its own charm, doesn’t it? I mean, not quite the same as Grey Sloan or LA, but there’s something unique about it. How have you been finding it so far?”
"Hey!" Mark protested, "I have never called myself that. You know that was Meredith and her little gang when they were interns. Don't put that on me."

"I suppose I’ll have to make a mental note of that," Valerie chuckled. She was just so used to being formal because she was usually surrounded by very serious and boring government officials all day. "It’s good to hear you’re back in action, though. Busy is usually a good sign, right?"
"I think I've told you before that you can call me Malakai. How many times until you listen?" Kai joked, "Well practice has started again, I've been quite busy. Barely have time to get sweet treats aside from today," he explained, "How have you been?"

Valerie found the doctor's sarcasm amusing and quite refreshing. She was surrounded by such serious and boring personalities in her day-to-day life so this was a nice change. The fact that Dr. Yasuda was so adamant about the fact that Naporia didn't exist was concerning to her but what she was saying didn't make sense at all. This was obviously a real place; they were here, after all. "Considering the fact that you don't know me, I won't be offended by your assumption," she said. "I'm pretty resourceful and full of determination. If anyone can get to the bottom of what's happening on the island, it will be. How do you think I got the title of 'Mayor'?"
"You think?" she asked sarcastically. "Of course it's concerning. Think about how horrifying this is for us," she said. "Trust me, if I had access to one of the globes I had at my parents' house before I moved out, I'd show you. Naporia doesn't exist. It's like it's.. hidden from the rest of the world," she said. Mika chuckled slightly. "I think that's all probably a good idea. But something tells me you're going to hit a dead end."

Nat stepped back and let the woman tend to the boards she'd knocked over. She looked over towards the boards that the other recommended and walked over to them, running her fingers across the boards cautiously so she doesn't knock them over too. "That's true," she nodded at the worker's suggestion. "I think I'm willing to give it a try. I've been studying the surfers out on the water. I know a lot of surfing is about balance and board control... but I've also come to learn it's about reading the waves as well... Figuring out timing."
"It's okay, I got it," Kida said, politely waving off her help. This was her job after all. She had worked hard before but being a princess and looking after her people was slightly different to this. She smiled, "Sure. These are the boards that I recommend for complete beginners. You can rent and then if you like it, consider buying a more advanced surfboard once you improve. Not a bad investment when you live on this island."

Even through her headache, Natasha's curiosity was peaked. Being here on the island these past few months, she's met a lot of interesting people from places she'd never heard of before. "Hmmm," she said, pulling the bottle that the other pointed out off the shelf. "Yeah, I'll try it... So, where are you from?"
"To be honest, I don't know," Sansa said, "I'm not familiar with either of these types of medicines. Herbal or western, as they call it. I'm not from here at all," she explained but then pointed to one of the bottles on the shelf, "That one says headache relief, why not try that one?"

Maya smiled over at her when the other assured her that she didn't need to worry about the accident she just caused. Picking up about four surfboards at a time, the two were able to get all of the boards off the floor and back into their place in no time. "I don't know," she said, shrugging at the other's question. "Something about it is pretty appealing to me so... maybe?"
"That's okay. I am paid to do this after all," Kida replied with a reassuring smile as she started to pick up the boards. She was glad she retained some of the physical strength she had had back in Atlantis, "Would you like to learn?" she asked.

"Ah, tinker, fast flying and garden fairies..." she said, nodding. "All makes sense... So, what's your name and how does it align with your talent?" Marceline glanced over at her and gave her a small smile when she showed her sympathy for her situation. "He was," she said, shrugging. "But I was better off alone... and I eventually created a family of my own through friends. It took a thousand years but I did." When the fairy asked her if Marci was planning on taking her magic, she smirked, looking over at her through mischievous eyes. "You're not planning on using your magic to terrorize people on the island, are you?" she asked. "I'm not as nice as I seem... but as long as you're not intentionally harming someone, you have no reason to worry about me."
"Tinker Bell is a tinker fairy, Vidia is a fast flying fairy," she explained. "A lot of our names align with our talent, like our other friend Rosetta. She's a garden fairy." As Marceline explained things to her about her life, she was a little taken aback. That was so weird to her to hear. "That sucks, I can't imagine. We fairies don't have parents so I can't relate but I'm sure if you thought he was bad, he was," she told her. Fawn nodded slowly. "You're not going to take my magic, are you?" she finally asked. "Because you seem nice but I don't want to be... vanquished."

Marceline floated lazily behind the counter of the record store, her bass guitar resting against the wall beside her. The faint hum of a classic rock tune echoed through the shop as she absentmindedly flipped through a stack of vinyls. She glanced up when she heard the familiar jingle of the door chime, a small smile tugging at her lips when she saw Sunny walk in. The young woman had been a regular here for the past few weeks, often popping in after her shift at the bakery. Marceline had grown to enjoy their chats, finding Sunny’s passion for culinary arts refreshing in a place where everything seemed so… stuck. “Hey, Sunny,” Marceline greeted, her voice casual but warm. “Find any new recipes that could use a killer soundtrack?” @bcttcrthanrcvcnge

"It's exactly what it sounds like," she said. "You've never heard of the Phoenix? It's an immortal fire bird." Maleficent frowned again when the other asked her what she should do. "I don't know what to tell you, honestly," she said. "I'm a Dark Fae, a direct descendant of the Phoenix. My magic is stronger than those of my species combined and I couldn't find a way off this island."
"What is the power of the Phoenix?" Stella asked. She hadn't heard of it before in Magix, and everyone knew there that Bloom's dragon flame was stronger than any other magic. "I'm the fairy of the sun and moon. I'm an enchantix fairy, I should be better than this, I should be able to get home," she said. "What do I do?"

At Rhaena's question, Maleficent relaxed and extended her wing to make mounting easier. She looked the other with direct yet gentle eye contact and gave a small nod in her direction. The quiet rumble that followed gave further confirmation that Maleficent was actually giving her the opportunity to ride a dragon.
Rhaena let out another laugh of disbelief. She had never been so in awe of a dragon before. Perhaps she had thought she would never see one again. She ran her hand along Maleficent's snout, beaming as leaned in. She stepped back a bit as Maleficent landed, "You're going to let me ride?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at the other. She knew she couldn't speak but she wanted to make sure. Still, as she waited for a nod or some indication, Rhaena moved around the dragon form, running her fingers along her neck and wings.

Kaleidoscope eyes widened when Malakai said that they couldn't leave. They felt panic start to kick in and when they were scared, they got a little angry and defensive. "Wait, what?" they said. "What do you mean, trapped? That's not possible. We can't be stuck here. This is just some kind of joke, isn't it? There's a way off this island."
"Yeah, that's the typical reaction we get," Malakai replied with a chuckle, "It's an island on the Atlantic," he explained, "It's my home and if you've just arrived out of nowhere, you can't leave. Or so I've been told by everyone else who has shown up this way."

Kaleidoscope considered the other's response then sighed, running a hand through their hair as they looked around their surroundings once more. "Well shit," they huffed. "This is just great... Just when things finally started to settle down and I got a little comfortable." Looking back at the redheaded woman curiously, she asked, "So, do you know any way off this island? There's this woman I'd really like to get back to."
"It's an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, on Earth. Which I have to specify because some people who show up here are not from Earth, not this one anyway," Sansa said, "Like me. Could possibly be an alternate reality. I'm not sure."

Kai motioned towards an empty booth before making their way over and sitting down across from Amelia. When she asked them what they wanted to talk about, they cleared their throat and hoped that she would hear what they had to say. "I've spent a lot of time thinking about what happened between us," Kai started. "I realized that I wasn’t fair to you and I didn’t fully understand or respect what you were going through at the time. I’m sorry for how things ended and for my role in that. I know I hurt you and I hate that I did. I know that I implied that how you were acting was selfish but I realize now that my decision to take the job without talking to you about it first was selfish. You were seeking reassurance and commitment but I didn't give it you. I was scared of what we were becoming, and instead of talking to you, I pulled away. That wasn’t fair to you and I'm sorry."
"Oh," Amelia said. She didn't know what this was going to entail, and she was not sure that she wanted to have whatever conversation was about to happen. "Fine, yeah," she said. "We can talk, pick a spot to sit," she said, licking her lips. "What do you want to talk about, exactly?"
