Tradition huffed in protest as she latched him to a sled, hating whenever he was needed to haul. Patting the beasts side Herra moved up to his face and slipped the leads on, kissing his nose despite the gruffs he was giving. Many even in her clan thought she was his skinchanger, but she had no magic with that.

Instead the lumbering beast was more a son to her then a beast of burden, having raised him since he was a cub. It allowed her to do more with him then most could with their mounts, even allowing her to roll him onto his back when she needed to see his stomach. Finally done with getting him latched in she headed back over to the hunting party that was forming.

A surprise among them was the Crow, Herra didn't realize he was being trusted just yet. She figured their King was planning on keeping him on a short leash and within sight at all times. Granted she couldn't argue needed more hands to feed their marching people.
