it was so hard being in Galway during the international arts festival and having to watch how much I’m spending. Theres so much awesome work all over but I’ve “already made extravagant purchases on this vacation” and am “going off to college really soon so I need to save money”. Bleh

Still obviously I wasn’t getting anything unless I really wanted it I’m not a fool

#I like Galway a lot more than Dublin #Dublin has some really awesome parts to it but it’s just… idk how to say it #Also I’ve never realized how different my accent is to my parents before? When the only ones with American accents it suddenly shows #I’m still super obviously American but I talk differently than them. I have no idea why. Maybe a generational thing?#My sister also talks differently (she has been called both English and Australian before for some reason despite sounding like neither)#But she has a speech impediment so it’s different #Galway is great because it kind of reminds me of home in all the best ways without making me homesick #The vintage shops here are so much cooler than in the US. Usually you have to go to the thrift store for the good shapes/colours/patterns #The birds here are pretty. Even if one of them shat on my hand and purse. Fuck that one in particular #“It’s good luck! You need it after last night!” Says my family… sure
