I am also once again thinking about the incredible potential of a Komahina TLT AU. And realizing there's something fundamentally wrong with me in a way that probably can't be fixed
#komahina#danganronpa#the locked tomb#this post only makes sense to like 3 people sorry#anyways the main point i get stuck on is who should be the necro and who the cavalier#because like. character-wise. it seems like hinata should be the cavalier and komaeda the necro. for obvious reasons#komaeda is bookish and casually morbid and most importantly: really really unathletic#meanwhile. hinata is the more athletic of the two by far. and also average/talentless so it makes sense to put him in the role that#doesn't necessarily require any natural aptitude (sorry)#but in terms of their roles in the story i actually envision it the other way around#(tlt spoilers incoming)#the kamukura project can be seen as a parallel to lyctorhood - gaining great power in exchange for losing your humanity#whereas komaeda is all about self-sacrifice so you know he'd RACE to iron rail himself the second he figures out the secret of lyctorhood#plus fanfic that puts characters in the unexpected role is SO FUN but.#i just. can't get past the mental block of trying to imagine komaeda picking up a sword. and using it#anyways this has been insanity hour with olive. tune in next time
