When people bring up October 7th sexual assault they conveniently forget that they've been completely silent for the 75 years worth of sexual violence Palestinians face at the hands of Israelis and that's why I can never take them seriously and know that the only reason they care is because the people they view as people were assaulted rather than those terrorist Palestinians. Did you know that my friends and family who go to palestine to visit talk about getting regularly strip searched? Being forced to be naked in front of your occupier is a form of sexual assault not one of these people cared about and continue not to care about.

Just saw a post that was basically "Hey off of the internet people usually aren't so crazy antisemitic and most of my day to day interactions as a visible Jew are normal, everything is gonna be ok" and I'm making a new post to not derail, but...
I'm super glad, obviously, that this is the case for many of you. But I do think we should be ringing the alarm bells. Because while you enjoy your grocery trips and post office in relative peace (as you ought to), here is a VERY incomplete list of things I have dealt with in the last 11 months.
-assaulted on my way to class, followed, spit on repeatedly (magen David necklace)
-professor took me outside of class and told me I needed to denounce my Judaism (I mentioned in passing my dad's family in an anthropology class)
-same professor refused to accept my final paper for reasons that did not match up with paper, email full of dogwhistles
-same professor told everyone to attend the protests and "teach those zionists to know their place" she is a Black Latina young professor. Yep.
-another professor straight up refused to accept any assignments that mentioned Jewishness (they were assignments about our families). Gave a student who submitted nothing except a picture of a Palestinian flag full marks. Failed me. I am an all As student, btw. Forced to drop.
-the chair of the anthropology department threw my complaints wabout said professors away without due process. His social media is full of blood libel.
-had to miss my finals as I could not physically get to them due to the protests
-followed and harassed in stores
-synagogue was vandalized multiple times
-called a kike while things were thrown at me
-protestors stood outside of my apartment patio with final solution signs
-new apartment, away from campus: friends of roommates harassed me constantly, to the point I could not use common spaces. Roommates told me that's his right because it's his "political view." He didn't even live there.
-new roommate moved in, less than 48 hours before she attempts to stab me, after learning I eat kosher style. "...kosher? kosher?! FUCK YOU" stab stab, etc. Bitch that was my good knife.
-the other roommates tell me to gtfo of the home I'm renting, keeping my rent ("you people can afford to lose money") and destroy a good portion of my belongings while cursing to me random nonsense about Israel. The police took 25 minutes to get there. We live in the middle of the city.
-fun fact: I had never mentioned my political stance to these people and it's not on my face-out social media (very bare bones profiles)
-been disbelieved by everyone I told this to including the police, my school, the leasing company, and my now ex best friend of 7 years
-cursed at in a store when I asked if there was a kosher section
-told nobody likes Jews because we bring down the vibe and have a victim complex. My knuckles are healing just fine after that, btw, thank you for asking! She is not.
I don't know how to request the 7th off from my school without basically incriminating myself with a threat of violence. There is no world where I just sit there when a classmate says "happy October 7th."
Hope this helps.

My September 2024 election reminder: ideological purity will not win you anything.
I see people on the left saying that they can't possibly vote for Harris because she's too pro-Israel, because she's too far to the right on immigration, because she's too far to the right on criminal justice, because she was a cop (she wasn't), because you think this policy or that policy is too conservative.
Not voting for her only increases the chances that we get a president who is even further to the right.
Those are our two choices. Like it or not, support the American political system or not, we have two choices, and one of them is further to the right on every single policy that you have opinions about.
So if you think Harris is too far to the right on Israel/Gaza, remember: Trump is so much further to the right. You don't like that the Biden administration is providing military aid to Israel (a thing that Harris cannot actually stop even if she wanted to, given that she's not president)? Trump has already proven, on a policy level, to be more pro-Israel. Remember when he moved the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, functionally acknowledging Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem? He is extremely pro-Israel and has materially proven it. Harris, on the other hand, has been calling for a cease fire since March and has recognized out loud the need for Palestinian sovereignty.
If you're wondering why she hasn't changed U.S. policy on Israel, I would like to remind you once again: she is not currently the President of the United States.
Holding on to your precious ideological purity and not voting for someone whose policies you find distasteful will not result in policies you like. It only increases the risk of policies that are so much further away from what you want.
Voting is public transportation. Voting is harm reduction. Voting is moving us a little bit closer towards the policies we want or, at the very least, keeping us from moving further and further away.

special thanks to all my followers who have stuck with me through the "fundraiser asks are bots & scammers" mess. My post did indeed piss quite a few people off but the response has been 90% positive, with a lot of people being relieved of the massive anxiety those asks were causing them (another huge thing that I hate about them is how they feed on people's mental health issues, esp. those with hyperfixations/anxiety on doing good and morality)
For the people who are getting really big mad at me it's like "tell me you got scammed without telling me you got scammed," which is a lot harder for some people to accept than you would think.
Also for those who still insist the asks aren't bots, I made my post with a big opening statement that I readily delete and report any fundraiser ask in my ask box, tagged it "Palestine" and "Palestinian," and the number of asks I got in my box literally quadrupled the next day. They are targeting people who are blogging on the issue because that's what bots do. Classic bot behavior.
If you have fallen for a fundraiser ask bot, don't hate yourself too much. Everyone on Tumblr has fallen for a charity scam at least once, including me. Those things are fucking heart-wrenching and convincing and hard to ignore. The important thing is that once you have the scam explained to you, you accept that you've been scammed and don't double down and insist what's obviously a bot is a real suffering Palestinian without any real proof. That's when you turn into an asshole.
Some people are like "I'd rather give to a thousand scammers than put a Palestinian family at risk!" and...... yeah you realize that's bad, right? The money that could actually be out there saving people's lives is instead going to an unknown criminal of unknown origins. For all we know, these bots could be funding Zionist settlers driving people in the West Bank out of their homes. (I AM NOT claiming this as a fact, merely illustrating that we don't fucking know. pissing on the poor, etc.)
And.... well some people really are a special kind of dumb and when you're really fucking stubborn about how dumb and naive you are I'd say fuck it, you deserve to lose your money, but no. People's lives are actually at stake and that money needs to go to the people who actually depend on it, and that makes me angry.
YES these bots are harmful and YES they need to be removed from Tumblr. Delete and report any that you get.

Maya Yang at The Guardian:
Rashida Tlaib, the Palestinian American congresswoman, has accused a political cartoonist of racism after he depicted her next to a pager exploding days after such devices blew up across Lebanon in what the Arab country has said was an attack by Israel. A statement from the Democratic US House representative also expressed concern that the cartoon by Henry Payne would “incite more hate and violence against Arab and Muslim communities”. “And it makes everyone less safe,” Tlaib said of the cartoon – published by the Republican-friendly National Review – which also showed her thinking how “odd” it was for the nearby pager to explode. Pagers had been a preferred method of Hezbollah members in conflict with Israel, before such devices exploded across Lebanon recently. “It’s disgraceful that the media continues to normalize this racism against our communities,” she said.
The congresswoman’s statement about the publication of the cartoon “Tlaib Pager Hamas” came after many users on the social media platform X had condemned it as anti-Arab as well as Islamophobic. Among them was the mayor of Dearborn, Michigan, Abdullah Hammoud, who wrote on X: “Absolutely disgusting. Anti-Arab bigotry & Islamophobia have become normalized in our media.” The mayor added: “At what point will people call this out?” Other users condemned Payne’s cartoon directly on his own X profile. One wrote: “You should be ashamed,” and another user said: “What the fuck does she have to do with the war crimes of Israel terrorizing the [Lebanese] people? It’s because she’s Arab you thought it was okay to draw this shit?”
Payne is a political cartoonist for the Detroit News, one of two major daily newspapers in the city, which is Tlaib’s hometown. The Guardian sent him a request for comment on Friday. The slew of pager and walkie-talkie explosions to which the cartoon alludes have killed dozens of people while wounding thousands more, including children. The Lebanese government and Hezbollah have blamed Israel for the attacks. Israel has stopped short of claiming responsibility for the deadly attacks. However, in their wake, its defense minister complimented the Mossad – the Israeli intelligence agency – for its “great achievements”.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) fearlessly calls out Detroit News cartoonist Henry Payne’s racist and Islamophobic cartoon depicting her with an exploding pager.

Ahmed can't save his family without our help.
My other promotion lists
Note: I do not often make posts for campaigns I am not focusing on, and I won't be updating this. I encourage others to adopt this campaign (because I can't right now) and make sure it gets the traction it needs.
Updated: Sep 21
Member(s): @ahmedpalestine
Verification: by @/gaza-evacuation-funds here, by @/bilal-salah0 (vetted sheet #132) here
Payment methods: Paypal, credit/debit
Summary: Ahmed is a Palestinian in Belgium whose family is stuck in Gaza. They are in Al-Maghazi refugee camp, which was and continues to be under attack. He's suffering watching the situation get worse while being unable to help evacuate them due to lack of consistent attention on his campaign. He also worries about how the children in the family will cope with inadequate shelter in winter.
Current progress:
€ 3,351 / 55,000
Campaign/family details:
Ahmed Khader is a Palestinian who left Gaza to Belgium in 2019.
He desperately needs consistent focus on his campaign, as it stagnates after people share his post once.
His family is still in North Gaza and enduring extreme suffering. They relocated multiple times in search of safety that they didn't find.
On Sep 10, Israel bombed tents in the designated safe zone of Al-Maghazi refugee camp, where the family was staying. Ahmed desperately called his parents, panic increasing as there was no signal.
Ahmed feels extremely stressed and helpless as he cannot afford to protect them from their deteriorating situation.
They are 12 people: 6 adults (€5,000 each) and 6 children under 16 years old (€2,500 each). Evacuating everyone will cost €45,000, with an additional €10,000 allocated for survival needs.
The campaign isn't getting enough attention and Ahmed is in agony, unable to stop thinking about how to help them.
He reached out to me with the following message expressing concerns about his family's (particularly the children) inability to cope with colder temperatures in their tents. He gave me permission to share his message to me:

What genuinely bugs me a lot about so called Free Palestine activists who celebrate October 7 - not just that those who actually believe it was a justified act of resistance rather than a heinous crime against humanity are, frankly, despicable, but that they celebrate it at all - has it brought Palestinians any closer to a free, democratic state than they were before? Has it improved their lives, the conditions in which they live?
Obviously and demonstrably not, because that wasn't the point of it anyway. Palestine will never be free while Hamas reigns - genocidal terrorists who care more about the completely unattainable goal of destroying Israel than caring for their own citizens. Resistance has never been their goal, freedom for their population has never been their goal - because they are the only ones standing in the way of that, they are the ones who abuse and oppress them and deliberately use them as human shields. That's all the Palestinian population are to Hamas - cannon fodder in their never ending Jew hating tirade.
In the almost two decades since Israel pulled out of Gaza and with the billions of dollars of aid they've received in that time period, they could have built the functioning, democratic society that people who live in la la land imagine will happen if Israel just suddenly ceases to exist.
At what point do you stop holding a neighbouring country responsible for everything terrible that happens and start holding the actual Palestinian government responsible instead? The leaders are worth billions, live lives of luxury in Qatar and have the backing of powerful nations like Iran. They are not, and never have been, some plucky underdog toiling under the mighty oppressive hand of Israel, a tiny nation beset on all sides by hostile neighbours, fighting for its mere existence every damn day.
I'm sorry, but caring about the welfare of Palestinians and supporting Hamas are not things you can do simultaneously without being a massive fucking hypocrite.

Every time we talk about our own grief, about the hostages being murdered, about the Druze children, about the victims of 10/7, about families butchered and torn apart, they have to come on our posts screeching WHATABOUT and try to trigger us and guilt us with a bunch of other stuff. what makes me angry about this is WE HAVE NEVER BEEN ALLOWED TO GRIEVE. none of us are saying that the Palestinian civilians’ lives don’t matter or the children affected in Gaza don’t matter - we are only trying to have some fucking space to talk about our OWN dead and our OWN children. we’re not on their posts recounting every Hamas atrocity. but we’re not human to them, our dead aren’t people to them. we’re not allowed to grieve in peace or remember them without being dehumanized. we’re not allowed safe spaces. the hateful people online have to trample on everything, invade every space, invalidate every feeling we have. for fuck’s sake we’re not even asking them to CARE anymore because we know they don’t. LET US GRIEVE AND LEAVE US ALONE.

[screenshots of Jews on tumblr saying "It was bad for Israel to bomb innocent people in Lebanon"]
"oh the tumblr zionists are just now realizing that it's bad when Israel bombs innocent people, and somehow didn't realize when it applied to tens of thousands of people in Gaza because they see Palestinians as subhumans who deserve death"
Multiple of the people screenshotted have been very vocally and repeatedly saying "What Israel is doing to Gaza is horrific and needs to stop immediately" for months.
Tumblr, here's a crazy thought: What if we didn't tell easily disprovable lies about Jewish people to portray them as evil?

People who defend Israel l love to play the Holocaust card to prove why they’re “right”.
It’s funny how they don’t seem so see the similarities in what they are doing to the Palestinians and what the Nazi’s did to Jews…
How about we take a little read about what the Nazi Regime did to the Poles. Sounds an awfully lot like what Israel is doing to the rightful citizens of the COUNTRY, Palestine.
Can you find any differences between Nazi’s v Poland and IDF v Palestine? No? That’s because what Netanyahu is doing to innocent people, is EXACTLY what the Nazi regime did. Don’t cry for sympathy, when you’re taking a page out of the book, of the people you’re using to excuse your behaviour.
This isn’t just re-writing history, it’s plagiarism. Copying every single thing the Nazi’s did. People against you, trying to fight for the real victims… attack them. When you single out minorities and control every aspect of their lives, you are not a victim.

Not to talk about Chappell AGAIN (I'm so tired but I just hate to see a lesbian be treated like this) but now people are calling her a closet republican fake queer culture vulture just because she, someone who openly supports palestine and is against genocide, raises money for palestininian relief organizations, who wanted to read palestinian poetry at the white house instead of sing but was told even THAT would put her safety on the line, doesn't endorse Kamala Harris, who isn't backing down from funding israel? When will we get over this "blindly supporting politicians and treating them like celebrities" thing, when will we get over this black and white "red bad, blue good" thing. Chappell is just asking people to use their brains instead of laughing at coconut tree memes

Daily reminder that Palestinian people still need all the help they can get. Here's a list of 5 that have reached out to me. Please, consider helping them survive and evacuate if you can!
Ahmed Al-Habil / @ahmedomar3: Family of 6, with four children (3 to 10 years old). Ahmed used to work as a fisherman, but now is unable to provide for his family. They have been displaced several times. This campaign is vetted by association. €3,855/€50,000.
Hazem Shawish / @hazemsuhail: Family of 8. They used to own a supermarket, which was destroyed during the war. Hazem's brother suffers from bipolar disorder. This campaign is vetted by association. €9,417/€50,000.
Ahmed Halas / @ahmedhelllis @ahmedhell-blog: Family of 20, most of them young children. Ahmed's father suffer from chronic conditions (diabetes and heart disease). This campaign has been vetted by @/90-ghost. €18,097/€80,000.
Karam Al-Madhoun / @karamalmadhoun0 @emanalmadhoun1. Family of 5; Karam is a 19-year old student, Eman is 28. This campaign is #109 in the vetted fundraisers list by @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi. €17,332/€20,000.
Fadi Ayyad / @mayadayyad81 @aymanayyad82: Family of 8; Fadi is 18 years old. His father, Ayman, used to work as an English teacher. Their house and the institute he worked in were destroyed during the war. This campaing is vetted by @/nabulsi. $40,008/$50,000.
I'd like to share Fadi's words with you:
Months of hard and tough living conditions have left all families of Gaza hopeless and incapable of leading their life. All this has explicitly happened as a result of the damned unfair war over the innocent civilians of Gaza. Houses, possessions, belongings and businesses have vanished and been swept away. No more livelihood sources exist. Consequently the life of sufferings and hardship have begun since then. Food, medicine, clean drinking water, health care, and other necessities of a normal life no longer exist in the way that we can get them. Life is still sad and dire and this gets us desperate and pessimistic over the unclear future. Despite the tragedy and sorrow that we have been undergong for all these incredibly harsh days, some people come to attack and criticize us as criminals and scammers. Are we scammers because we are seeking peace and safety for our families after we had been forcibly displaced and therefore we lost everthing we used to have over the past years? How can we convince you that we are leading the worst and harshest days a person can experience! The people of Gaza are well educated and were brought up well but the unfair war has forced them to ask others' help and support. The incredibly and unbelievably harsh conditions have created new characters of us. I am asking you, my friend, to keep spreading our true words to the free world, telling them that we deserve life under any sort of circumstances. You are our voice and our last hope as we vehemently need you in our dire time. Long live Palestine 🤍🇵🇸
If you don't know who to donate to, GazaFunds is your friend.

Reblogging that one post about obvious scams posing as desperate Palestinian people begging for financial aid was a terrible mistake. Pretty sure most of them are just bots that automatically target anyone that posts about helping Palestine, regardless of the context, because as soon as I reblogged that damn post, my inbox started blowing the fuck up with scammers pleading for money. And my messages. And they've started @-ing me on their shitty scam posts.
And yes, I fucking KNOW they're scammers, because this has involved fun things like two different blogs sending me the exact same sob story, to the point of using the exact same emoji spam (and yes, both of those blogs were still active, i checked), and another blog sending me the same emoji-laden plea three times in a row, with several hours in between. Not to mention several of the scam bot messages have opened with thanking me for sharing so many Palestine fundraisers already, which is pretty fucking weird given that I have explicitly not been doing that, because they are almost entirely scam bots.
...And now I've made the terrible mistake of mentioning Palestinian relief aid again, so I'm sure I can expect a fresh wave of bots any minute now.

These Nazi chucklefucks snooping my bio to call me an insane person, tell me to take my meds, and that I'm a liar LOL. And we were all shocked that literal Nazis -- cheering "gas the Jews" and posting their "social justice activism" of regurgitating actual IRGC propaganda and supporting the genocidal Houthis -- are also ableist 🙄😂
and then they have the GALL to ask why I won't have a detailed and nuanced conversation (read: why won't u just agree with me that Israel should be destroyed 😳😳😳) about fucking Israel and Palestine.
Bro can't even admit that Hezbollah killing the equivalent amount of Israeli civilians is wrong yet scree "ur deflecting" when I bring it up in response to the pager attack after ranting about Nelson Mandela, South Africa, the Lebanese civil war and Palestinians.
Plzzzz, snoop my bio harder and take personal things I've shared and use them to try and cause me pain and suffering while wondering why I won't "respond to ur questions about Palestine." dude really said "ur bio reads like fanfiction" because I said "I'm a survivor of human trafficking" LMAO. Yeah man that single sentence is so unbelievable!!!
most hinged terrorist supporter. Honestly these idiots truly cannot understand it, I constantly get people barfing and screaming about how I'm ACAB EXCEPT FOR ISRAEEELLLL and how could I possibly be an ANARCHISTTTT if I support Jewish safety and indigenous rights like they don't comprehend that having a homeland and self determining there is separate from having a state.
Then goes omg what do u think about Israel supporting south Africa as if it is some kinda magical gotcha that will prove I'm a hypocrite. Fun fact, what the Israeli government does is actually irrelevant to my belief in Jewish safety! I bring up these equivalent circumstances not to justify Israeli actions but to PROVE that for you people, for you Nazis, you actually don't give a shit about what the IDF does. You don't care.
Because if you really cared about ethnic cleansing, genocide, terrorism, colonialism, apartheid, etc. Then you would oppose those things when they happen to Jews. You wouldn't post Tik Toks saying that the Houthis (who perpetrated a genocide) are based or waiting for khomeini (who colonized Iran) to destroy Israel. You wouldn't post support for the PPC claiming the uyghers aren't going through the stages of genocide lol.
So no, I don't have any intention of talking to you about how I oppose Israel's actions. Because you have proven that you would simply use this as justification to kill Jews. When you support Hamas, an organization who has vowed to annihilate every single Jew around the globe and to expel them from their homeland, you lose the right to fucking nuance from ME, bro.
And you Especially lose it after making fun of me personally, mocking me, and accusing me of writing "fanfiction" like a single sentence qualifies. You fucking moron.

I'm disappointed in flipside...was worth it show us foot fetish? Jecka being s3xu4lly traff1cked? Like they didn't implied it ..they showed her half naked..very draw in detail..they showed her body naked when she off herself. Nicole sitting and putting her feet on Jecka's dad's mouth????....it was misery p0rn...it also feel like the creator disliked how much people were saying "oh the girls are so cool".. like they wanted to criticized men but also paint the girls from using men as hypocrites?? So they butchered their characters?..Idk..now looking back at it..there were things that I disliked about the first game...but didn't see right well with me... Like there are red flags..even if Nicole is really depressed and Jecka too. They acted like "I want to be d3pr3ssed..I'm making a d3pr3ssed playlist on iTunes" "if I fake this disorders" u know for the audience to laugh at them as if they weren't really depressed...(not saying they aren't..NICOLE AND JECKA ARE REALLY DEPRESSED) ..but there's q lots of people ..that believe girls love to pretend they have disorders...as misogynistic and ableist it is..some people think that way..that's why they put it there as humor...
I think they had luck on flipside because instead of saying "ha they hypocrites, many girls empathized with the fictional girls in some way..or don't feel them bad about those men being used...because they were bad and they still see the girls as victims...even if they aren't good people" and they didn't shame Nicole for being misandrist and was always proven right.
I don't know how to redact this shit..it does feel like they criticized society...but also...get off on misandrist girls....and many stuff feels for shock value..more than actual criticizing or creative comebacks...
In flipside is basically disguised fetish...and do have in mind some men get off misandrist girls..(aside from the real valid reason to be misandrist like s3xu4l trauma) like some boys and men get off or also mock (or both) women reduce them to "u guys only play videogames and do anything thing for s3x".
So just disappointed in the game.i did got bad vibes on the first game..but didn't see about it..also we got queerbaited with Jecka and Ari...and have in mind this written by a weirdo and a man..
Also the joke of "was it q Pakistani or Palestinian Man traff1cking me" was not it..
Maybe I'll do q post explaining why flipside was disguised fetish and why I got those vibes from the first game but not very high..
Still love Jeckole and any girl pairing there..except Nicole and Ari...

People forget that both Gaza and the WB are far more developed and have a far higher quality of life than all the other Arab states aside from the Gulf Monarchies. It was better to live in Gaza, a fascist police state that is frequently bombed by Israel, than Jordan or Lebanon or Syria or Iraq or Egypt. A lot of that is due to international aid but I don't believe anyone who says that Oct7 was an inevitable outburst from a slowly suffocating Gaza. Like you said, there was no starvation before. Income inequality was definitely very high, but there was nothing to indicate the economy was shrinking. No food or energy shortages, no housing crisis, no giant unemployment rate...
Gaza had no Polio outbreaks before the war. After almost a year of being pummeled by Israel, the healthcare system still hasn't yet totally collapsed. So many indications that Gaza had well maintained and well funded institutions.
Hamas also didn't steal any food from Israeli towns. They didn't rob any banks, and they didn't even really steal from the Kibbutzim they torched. The only thing they stole was people. The people celebrated in the street. Not because Hamas brought back desperately needed supplies, but because humiliating and spiting the Jews was a joyful occasion. So this narrative that if you squeeze a people too long for too hard, they fight back, it doesn't hold water. Not in this case. The only way in which Israel was squeezing Gaza was not letting Iranian weapons in. Not to make light of this blockade, it does infringe on the dignity of Palestinians. But when tens of thousands of Palestinians worked in Israel and took their paychecks back to Gaza, I don't think we can really say that Israel has ever tried to stifle Gaza economically.
So, no economic despair, no humanitarian crisis unfolding... what was it all for? It seems Hamas was so rich they could embezzle billions to line their pockets on top of making the entire Strip into a giant fortress, and still have enough money left over to genuinely increase the standard of living for 2 million people.
Hamas was racing against the clock to commit their massacres and take their hostages. But that clock was not their population slowly dying of hunger and exposure, as part of Israel's plan to very very slowly ethnically cleanse them. The clock was Israel normalizing relations with Saudi Arabia.
