had a dream that jerma985 for whatever reason became a huge celebrity in worcester, massachusetts. yes i know he's from boston. every restaurant had a framed picture of him and every dunkin donuts had a bunch of pictures of him, like all the wall decor was photos of jerma. there were photos of him on poles and all the hospitals (we have like a billion here) had a photo of him in the various common rooms, something to calm down anxious patients. UMass and WPI students had tiny jerma shrines as a joke and ironically prayed to jerma before exams. Also photos ranged from nice looking ones you get when you google 'jerma' and meme ones like the sus image and him coughing weird. restaurants made jerma themed food (not really themed but more like they just named it after him) and people named their pets after jerma (no kids. cause this was all semi ironic). jerma visited one day and he needed an escort and people were on the streets- not just young people who knew who he was but older folks as well- celebrating his visit like it was a parade. he also showed on stream the kind of fame he was getting via going on google maps and social media and seeing all the jerma love he was getting in worcester. jerma didnt know why worcester was treating him like this but after questioning it for a bit he decided to just roll with it. he gave a speech at his visit (i think in the park in downtown) but words are always garbled in dreams so i didnt understand what he said, but he definitely said something like 'i dont know why this is happening but im not gonna question it' and doing that laugh he does when he's bewildered

Happy 1st Anniversary To Rayman In The Phantom Show!!!🎊💗

(Ft. An unapologetically sentimental essay about my feelings on this dlc and why it means so much to me under the cut)

To anyone who has been following me for a while now, I think you all know about how I feel about rayman as a whole, I love him. I have loved him since I was 6-7 years old when I first played rayman origins on my late brother's psvita we used to own. Rayman is a series that has always been in the back of my mind, even back in my 2020 era when I mostly just posted about don't hug me I'm scared. So it's not hard to figure out that your man was excited when it was announced that he was coming back in full glory in the form of a mario + rabbids dlc.

By the time it was I think june of 2023 I found myself obsessing over rayman again like I used to back then as a child. and it felt great. it felt great to just, actively be heavily invested again in this series after so long, feels good.

the future of rayman himself might be uncertain, but the fact that I was able to spend more time with him after years of being apart is always going to something I cherish.

2023 was a really rough time for me, I mean it's not much better right now. but I was going through a really miserable time in my life at that point. but rayman in the phantom show motivated me to keep going, the promise I would be reunited with an old friend was enough for me to push through despite everything. and it's not much different today, this month has been a very awkward and stressful one, with school eating away at my soul and being constantly reminded of the terrifying idea of adulthood leaving me miserable and bitter as a result. but I was willing to go through all that because I was going to celebrate something I cherish more than life itself ♡

Another dream, this time a fic idea.

So a small group of mercs have to assassinate the prime minister of Bangladesh aa a contract. Scout has to find a good escape route while Demo sets up bombs in the prime minister's speech podium (a public "thanks for helping me win the election" speech). Sniper is there to watch over Scout and Demo from the sky while Heavy is there to watch Scout from the ground. Scout found a route through a storm cistern, one of those massive underground water collection things that stop the city from flooding. This means they gotta swim (through water.) to escape. Scout found these through lifting up a manhole, which does mean the route will be a bit public. The plan was to arrive a week early to case the area and for Demo to get bombs into the podium without being *too* suspicious and then they'll use the storm drain to swim under the roads, hidden from view, and pop out by Sniper's van to escape with everyone else during the panic that'll ensue. Sniper didn't have his rifle and Heavy Sasha because they would be too big to carry in an urban setting with so many people. It was going fine at first, Scout was popping out of the first manhole next to Sniper's van in a parking lot, then when he popped out of the other in a different parking lot, an elderly lady and her adult son saw him. For whatever reason they had modern cell phones and the old lady took hers out to call the police, but Scout took it out of her hands. By now Heavy showed up and started trying to intimidate the son and lady, while obviously not hurting them (I think Heavy would never forgive himself if he hurt an old lady civillian). Another civillian showed up, a single man in his 30s, trying to intimidate Scout, until Heavy put a hand on his arm. The son tried calling the police but Scout took that phone too, saying "Ma'am, we don't wanna hurt you, we can't tell you what we're doing." By now Sniper got involved and came down from his nest, cause he knew something was going on and they were about to run, reinforced by Demo showing up and looking a bit jumpy- from excitement or anxiety idk. A small crowd formed around them.

Then the bombs went off.

A huge explosion of dust and debris from blocks away. The usual happened- screaming, people running in a panic, cops going off. The cops unfortunately showed up while the mercs were filing into the manhole cover, and they got identified to other cops over radio. The mercs dropped the manhole cover and began swimming, Sniper and Heavy exhausting first but Scout grabbing their arms and pulling them through, iron lungs from running so much. Then the first monkey wrench- the manhole they were supposed to escape from was covered by a car. Someone parked above the manhole. Scout cursed and told the others and then led them to a different part of the storm drain, trying to find another manhole that wasn't covered up or in public. They found one, exhausted from holding their breath and swimming so much, then escaped through it onto the streets. They ran, Scout as head, Heavy and Sniper so exhausted from running they were almost passing out, until they went onto a public road and got stopped by a cop barricade. There they learned the trucks in Bangladesh are armored (I don't know if this is true?? I don't know anything about Bangladesh police) and the cops shouted FREEZE! and pointed guns at them. Heavy ripped open a car door from one of the cars on the side while Scout stole a motorbike, and Demo hot wired the car to start it up while Scout did the same on the bike. The two fled, via both vehicles driving through the streets. How they got over the barricade idk?? Also by this point Sniper had his rifle and Heavy Demo Scout pistols, but I don't know how they got them?? Unfortunately after this i woke up, but there were some cool visuals of Heavy getting road rage and Demo looking back to see the hoarde of enraged cops following them and some of Scout driving the bike while Sniper shot at police behind them. Also in there was a scene of them all having to climb a chain fence and Demo sighing and going "one day I'll learn to climb these" so Scout had to help him cause I imagine climbing chain fences is baby shit to him. I think they did manage to get to Sniper's van and truly escape but I'm not sure how. Also Heavy and Demo were in street clothes while Sniper and Scout weren't for some reason.

Before the Bangladesh PM assassination I had a kind of beta version of this dream where it was just Sniper and Scout on a bike, Scout driving and Sniper shooting, in New Mexico while cops chased them. I remember Scout having to turn around and using the cop cars as platforms and jumping his bike off of them. Then something about using a nearby abandoned mine as shelter, and Scout driving up abandoned minecart tracks (they were super bumpy lol, it distorted their speech in a funny way). Then Sniper watching to see if the police knew where they were, and they didn't. So yay!

First dream in a while that wasn't some horror or apocalypse scenario so that's pretty awesome! Love me some merc content, this one slaps tbh, needs some refining into a bonafide Idea

had a dream that i teleported to the utica archeological museum via google maps and had a few hours before it closed to try and see the volubilis cato bust (not discovered or now displayed in utica. but whatever) BUT i was there with Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus From Roman History and he was in the like. museum restaurant. repeatedly almost getting poisoned. like he would order ‘totally not poisoned pineapple ice cream just for pompey :)’ off the menu. see someone else try it and be clearly poisoned. and say well surely it won’t do that to Me. so i had to keep throwing the food on the floor or out the window to stop him being poisoned by it AND this meant i couldn’t leave him alone and go and see the statue of cato. SAD!
