Well life is full of little surprises. I couldn’t get my propane regulator to work. After a failed replacement attempt and troubleshooting for hours on end, I decided to let nothing stop me at making my #nationalhomebrewcompetition #ipa #brew day and I improvised with a turkey fryer burner. I’m surprised it worked after collecting rain and rust over the seasons. All in all, the #beer is done #cooking and now I am relying on the #yeast, aka single celled living organisms, to judge the outcome of this beer. This New England style ipa is heavily whirlpool hopped and will be dry hopped densely as well. It #should finish around 6% abv. I talk about it a little bit in my upcoming #podcast. All in all, I am just #rollingwithresistance, let the #gods (or #beerjudges) determine its fate. This young lady has been doing the home brew competition for the Big Muddy Monster Brew Fest the past 3 years. The category I judged with Travis Akin was Spiced Beers. Before you ask, NO, I did not judge pumpkin beers. .
