It’s funny how the act of asking the question to someone else wakes up a wondering space inside. I am doing a challenge and working on my story sharing and one of the steps was to choose a value that was key to my art but found I couldn’t choose…so I asked… As I walked and enjoyed the winter sun, I heard my inner voice whispering trust. Trust seemed to keep repeating as I enjoyed and connected to nature and the energy of the day. How do I choose? Trust was the core value that kept showing up at every step and in every painting. I realised all the other values that I was choosing were all connected to trust…Values such as beauty, connection, compassion, guidance, wisdom, inspiration, play, learning etc. It all came back to trusting this guided world and leaning into that. I felt an inner sigh as I realised that my confusion about what to choose was really about me not pausing and leaning into trusting that I already knew. The answer was waiting for me…I just needed to trust….my inner wisdom was waiting with the answer. I am practicing trust every day and I know that I often get distracted by the busy world revolving around me and I forget to listen for that inner wisdom, and be present. It’s a tiny habit of choosing again to trust and ground into this beautiful, sacred Earth. To trust that guidance…and allow life to flow. I wonder, do you trust that you are guided and supported? How do you choose what is important in your life? What is the one value that is the key for you, in life and art?
