Wait since Violet is instead Barley (OG) Juniors mother where will Bellaleaf and Rileyclaw come from? I kinda like them having a connection to Raven and Barely and then joining Skyclan but you could also just make them kittypets in the end. Their also super background characters I just like them for their silly names and interesting background. I feel like they could be something, especially Bella as she’s the living sibling and in present Skyclan.

Totally just au wise but I always love the idea of Bellastar, taking after Leafstar maybe if Hawkwing died off. I mean she was a part in leading Skyclan to Barley’s farm and then to the clans. She’s just very interesting to me and not just the silly Skyclan cat with a funny name yknow?

I absolutely want to keep their connection. In fact, I really want to strengthen it

Canonical Bellaleaf and Rileypool don't make a lot of sense to me. Their siblings are taken to other twolegs shortly after birth, and I understand Violet wanting to keep them safe, but they are going to be taken eventually anyway. Why would Violet be so mad they want to be warriors? Why does Ravenpaw get dreams to play errand boy and bring them to SkyClan when they're utterly unimportant?

When SkyClan is just going to pass through the barn again anyway, a few months later??

And even earlier than that, Barley leaves his sister with some twolegs assuming they'd fix her, and doesn't even stick around to make sure? He runs to this random barn (ACROSS THE MAP NO LESS) so he won't be recognized and put her in danger but... what if BloodClan recognized her before then? Does BloodClan have an iron grip on Chelford or not? And if he didn't leave to protect her then why leave his injured sister at all???

AND. Don't forget; the barn is just suddenly depopulated for some unsettling reason! There's a WHOLE FAMILY of cats living there in Crookedstar's Promise, where did Fleck and his sister's kittens go??

Violet's probably going to die at that execution. Barley calls up his Forget-Me-Nots begging for help, a secret mission to go save his nespring. From there, Oakheart leads them to the barn that his brother trained at.

(coincidentally this thought process is what brought up all the Crookedblue stuff you're seeing lately, I was trying to figure which forget-me-not would suggest the barn, leading me to think about Oak & Crooked in more depth)

Barley Junior and his littermates are suckled by Soot or Piper, who've had children of their own by that point. I'm still unsure how many siblings Barley Junior has-- BUT, one of them becomes the parent of Rileypool and Bellaleaf.

This makes them into Barley Senior's grand-nespring, and Barley Junior's normal nespring.

Bonus SkyClan Thoughts

I am not letting Rileypool die unceremoniously christttt, Erins stop killing interesting background challenge (failed for the 100th time). I also love Leafstar, but I would like for her to die soon so we can at least see someone new. She's AT LEAST 13 if she's as old as Thornclaw, but that would still be weird if SkyClan started off with a leader less than 2 years old...

Bellaleaf DOES deserve so much more. It's unfortunate that SkyClan in general is kind of... Clan-inizing? And losing a lot of the stuff that makes them unique since settling down at the Lake. Like daylight warriors, the fun names, the more passive approach they have to outsiders...

When I get around to SkyClan with my rewrite I want to approach them with the hard theme that they're trying not to lose their own identity with these interactions with the other Clans.

Was gonna make a joke post about Bellastar happening after Leafstar dies but decided I’ll make an actual post and it was all fun as I was surfing the wiki and making connections until I saw it.

So Bellaleaf is mates with Rabbitleap who has three other siblings, Plumwillow, Creekfeather, and Nettlesplash. Plum has three kits, Dewspring, Reedclaw, and Finleap. And Nettlesplash has Palesky, Gravelnose, Nectarsong, and Fringewhisker. The problem comes bc the writers have no sense at all and don’t check things and made Dewspring and Nectarsong have kits together. First cousins and very easily seen as cousins just by checking the tree. Wth?????

Also the amount of cats that are related (all of the cats listed are alive besides Waspwhisker who is the father of Rabbit, Plum, Creek and Nettle) is making me worried already for the shit storm it already is. And now it’s spreading to the other clans muddying the blood even more.

This is because Fringewhisker is now in Shadowclan presumably if nothing happens soon to have kits with Spireclaw who is also a very related cat as he’s a offspring of Berryheart who is a Snowbird kit. And Finleap is in Thunderclan tho I have less worries since yknow a big thing with him was that Twig never wanted kits.

I’ve draw a very basic and messy tree so I could really picture it but I think I’ll make it digital in a bit so I can better make this dumb au work without so much incest. Gosh Skyclan don’t become Thunderclan or Shadowclan 2

Not just because it would make so many people who hate the names mad (I still don’t get why some people don’t like them) but they have good stories. Bellastar au but the basics

Bellaleaf is just being happy with her wife Rabbitleap and daughter Wrenflight when Hawkwing dies. Unsure and knowing whatever cat she chooses will succeed her Leafstar chooses her close friend and ally Bellaleaf. She’s shocked but slips into the role nicely and becomes leader. Bellastar Bellastar Bellastar Bellastar.

If anyone said a word she’d call back to Firestar. He was an outsider who became leader just as she was, they were even remarked to look similar. If they had a problem with her then they’d better look at their own hearts. I want badass no bullshit Bellastar she’s awesome. I kinda like the idea of Bella choosing Macgyver or Plumwillow for deputy but I need to look more into the family tree before I settle on someone. While they already had a loss of their first litter, Wrenflight being their only surviving kit, they have another and I think they should all have funny names like Rileykit (after her brother Rileypool), Tripkit, Barleykit, Lucykit, Lunakit. Just some cute names.

Hc wise I think Bellaleaf/star is she/her and pan, Rabbitleap is trans using she/petal and pan as well. Rileypool was He/She/It and genderfluid, bisexual. Wrenflight is questioning but leaning to Demiromantic. I just have very specific hc for the main cats in thsi dumb au
