One thing I will say about Washington as portrayed in TURN is that man should not have been elected president of the country. It was a great characterization and they gave him more depth than was warranted in some instances, but they didn’t write the future president of the U.S.A. They wrote a long-suffering substitute teacher who should have gone straight home and slept for forty hours before swearing to never be a public figure ever again.
