So much so that despite the relationship moving extremely fast, Cassandra had no hesitation in accepting his proposal.

This is where I started kludging an actual rotation order together by playing both fall and winter in the Quickley household. There's still gonna be a little bit of Jeremy Bearimy time shenanigans, but I played the Quickley family for both fall and winter.

"And then when they thought the girl Simon had a crush on was the prisoner but ACTUALLY she was the owlbear and then she was a horse and then --"

"Um, yeah, that was cool."

"And then she was an owlbear later too and it was really important! Oh but before that she was a fly and a cat and an ostrich thing and before that --"

Poor Beau is the only person with any table manners here.

He's also the best at blocks. He's a bit older than both the others, but is patient with them.

The Tilney Family Album: Volume XIX

Being an elder isn't slowing Lizzy down. She's still hungry for knowledge...

...and still climbing that career ladder as a result.

Until one day, there's someone there to meet her when she gets home from work...

As Lizzy leaves this mortal plane - through the mailbox - Henry's friend from work Jan Tellerman seems disproportionately upset over the death of someone she hardly knows. But those turn out to be crocodile tears that she's shedding...

With Jan waiting for her moment, Henry takes consolation for his loss in his feline friend.

Henry is surprised and flattered - he never realised that Jan might feel that way about him, although he has just received quite a nice pay-out for the loss of his beloved wife, which could certainly be contributing to his current appeal...

Jan is sending out some rather mixed signals though. It seems she possibly finds his money attractive, but his personal attributes not quite so much.

Over in Sanditon, it's granddaughter Esme's first birthday! She looks so much like mum Eleanor.

With the kids growing up and space in their small bungalow at a premium, Eleanor and Esther decide it's time to get their house in order, and they lay their beloved rescue dogs Max and Buffy to rest in the corner of Sanditon cemetery that has been set aside for pets; and we enjoy a spontaneous romantic interlude between Townies Marisa Bendett and Benjamin Long - aww!

However, it soon becomes clear to everyone that the most satisfactory situation all round would be for the family to move in with widower Henry, back in Merybury, where there's plenty of space for the children to grow. Ellis's first priority is to introduce himself to Kobe.

It's been a long while since Henry has had rugrats playing on the rug.

But he hasn't forgotten how to be the most attentive dad/granddad ever.

Benjamin: It'll be a little while yet. At least a few months.

Something that really gets me about Benjamin Sisko is the way he’s just carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders at all times. He takes a backwater assignment that promises to be little more than a series of tedious bureaucratic maneuvers and instead ends up commanding the most strategically important station in a major intra-galactic war - and feels an immense amount of personal responsibility for the countless lives lost in battle, as seen in In the Pale Moonlight and The Siege of AR-558. He gets the role of religious figure thrust upon him and suddenly bears the responsibility of foresight and spiritual quests and shaping the future of an entire people who were initially foreign to him.

And he’s so often pulled out of linear time, and burdened with the knowledge and responsibilities of that untimeliness. When he gets trapped in the 21st century, ensuring the entire existence of the Federation - the institution that shaped him and gave him the values he holds dear - rests on his shoulders. In his vision in Far Beyond the Stars, he’s yanked through the fourth wall itself and learns firsthand the symbolic heft that his position as a Black captain on a space station holds, and resolves to continue fighting for the future to fulfill the dreams of Earth’s past. A past that is still, somehow, concurrent or parallel to his own. He gets taken out of sync with linear time and watches his son grow up without him and never be able to move on, and ultimately sacrifice himself to bring him back, and he can never tell Jake about it. Even the depth of his son’s love becomes yet another burden of knowledge for him to carry.

All of that and he is still a man. He is a man who is given the gift of insight that is far beyond what he was previously capable of imagining. He is timeless but he is still a linear being who is denied the rewards of linearity. He saved Bajor but not for himself. I just have a lot of feelings about it!
