“prefer you like this, face covered with my cum. better like this than being an uptight bitch, don’t you think?” he talks down at you, mocking with an obnoxious pout on his lips. you can’t stand choi beomgyu. he’s incompetent for his job, he acts on his impulses and he’s way too over his head. you hate him. you hate him so much. the years you spent working under this company included the few rotations of sons in charge, and by far, beomgyu was the worst. he tugs at the back of your head with his free hand, staring you down with a twitch at the corner of his lips. he looks down at you with the expression that he wears every time you mess up a trivial matter, and you stare him back with much of the same intensity. except it didn’t even have the quarter of the same impact, not when you’re the one kneeling in front of his crotch and he’s sitting on his office chair, legs comfortably spread. it’s aggravating how fast his expression turns to faux sympathy, an obnoxious pout on his lips. “my pretty assistant letting me cover her pretty face with my precum, sooo generous, aren’t you doll?”

The room was small for your rapid substantial heart, all of the voices coming into a blur when you silently stared at the divorce papers in front of you with your and Beomgyu’s rings on the side. The silver bands were helplessly shining on top of the table, like how you are right now, you’re helpless. You thought that Beomgyu would continue fighting for this marriage with you as he said, but under one order from his father, he came running back to him. And what’s worse was that he didn’t even discuss his decision with you, you were happy with him and he was too with you. Why did you sign the papers then? You finished the procedure with a click of the pen, swallowing down your fear and putting on a blank face for everyone inside the room. A piece of you got taken away from the moment you looked down at the divorce papers, both of your names written with a signature at the very bottom of the statement. Closing your eyes to maintain the pain inside of you when you felt Beomgyu’s presence behind you, you formed your hands down into a fist and walked steadily towards the man who your heart despised the whole time.
“There. Are you happy now that you ruined my life again?” You spat, teeth gritting together in anger as you looked up to catch his gaze. Ken poked the inside of his cheek, nodding his head quietly after seeing your angered face.
“Fuck you” You declared, shoving his chest with both of your hands as you stormed out of the room. The wet puddles from the rain splashed your footsteps, ignoring the looks the workers inside the house gave you. You continued walking with fast steps until you reached the front lawn of their vast mansion, your silent cries echoed the landscape, your pained heart meeting your pained mind as all came crashing down.
Your knees met the ground with both of your hands covering your face, letting your tears fall until you could taste them. The taste was very familiar through the years but the cause behind those tears was different, they were not from anger that you felt from your father back then, they were not tears of joy, they were sadness. You fled the scene due to the suffocating atmosphere inside the living room, the fresh air from outside was slowly calming you down but it was not enough. Your cries were muffled by a hand going at the back of your head as that someone pushed you to its chest, one hand staying on the back of your head as the other one was down at your waist. Embracing you underneath the cruel skies that seemed to stir along with your emotions, Beomgyu continued caressing your hair gently, his shaking hand catching your attention.
“Get up,” He said, grabbing your wrists to pull you up with the strength they had left.
Your red eyes from crying looked up at his dead ones, they used to be bright and happy from the moments he shared with you, but now they were cold and empty from this moment he shared with you. Your eyebrows furrowed upon seeing a fresh cut on his lip, the blood decorating his soft lips along with the painful scar he wore on his left cheek.
“W-What happened to you?” You asked after getting back up your feet.
“It’s nothing” Beomgyu mumbled underneath his breath, his hand still around your wrist as he started dragging you outside the gate. You could only stay quiet, tired from talking and trying to defend yourself from all of the things the world has to throw at you. You waited, trying to find the answers you kept on asking yourself the whole ride back home. Where did you go wrong? Were you not enough for this?
You took a quick glance at Beomgyu in the driver's seat, his mind was elsewhere the whole drive. He kept on playing with his lip, running his thumb over them continuously. Both of you felt like a huge dark cloud got inside the car on how heavy the air was, the cold kissing your skin when you let out a sigh.
The two of you were facing the world. Together, Beomgyu was ready, he always had been. But maybe not you.
“The moment you left the room” Beomgyu suddenly started a conversation making your breath stop in your throat, hands clutching the seatbelt.
“The divorce papers were not the only ones that I signed”
———
“Why did you do that? Beomgyu?!” You raised your voice, hands flying up in the air in frustration. Your sudden expression shocked him when you walked around the living room with the housekeepers walking their way out like rats hiding inside their holes. Beomgyu could only lean his body beside the wall, both hands crossed over his chest, watching you walk around the room with heavy footsteps.
“I don’t see any problem with the decision that I made” He followed, voice laced with exhaustion.
“You gave your father your resignation letter. You continued building your company when you were lost and confused back then with your own two hands. You created a fresh and new start for everybody when you sat down in the position of CEO and decided to leave it? What about your hard work? Your time and effort… are you just going to throw it all away just like that?” Your voice shook, running a hand through your hair when you finally faced him.
“After what we found out earlier from my father? About the money that I earned and made from the business procedures? He’s just carelessly handling it, using it just like how he’s treating me! He used me to take the fucking profit of the company that I worked hard on! It’ll be useless if I continue sitting in that position after knowing the truth” Beomgyu replied back, his jaw clenching from the sudden conflict that was brewing between the two of you. He doesn’t like it when he raises his voice at you but frustration and anger got the best of him from the way his mind suddenly remembered the look of his father and Ken. Fucking Ken.
“Beomgyu, I get it that you’re angry and confused about everything, but that job is important, you’ve worked hard on that-”
“Why would I bother myself about that, when I’m already looking at the most important thing in my life standing in front of me? I worked hard on you too” Beomgyu’s soft voice broke the altercation, his eyes gazing up at your frozen body. Your hands grew steady beside you, questioning yourself if what you heard was right.
“The moment we left that house, I’m not your wife anymore, Beomgyu” You crashed, the killing silence squeezing in what used to be a loud living room from both of your raised voices. But now, it was nothing, only hearing your heavy breaths from the moment you watched Beomgyu take a step forward in your direction.
I’m not your wife anymore, Beomgyu.
Those words stung him hard, he had to close his eyes for a quick second to maintain his heart steady from the way you looked so fragile in front of him. The whole situation turned grey from his reckless behavior earlier at his parent’s house, he signed those divorce papers without your knowledge. He knew that he surprised you. And he knew that he was wrong.
“I know that. But that doesn’t mean anything, I still love you. I chose to love you” Your stomach did a complete turn to the worst, and your knees grew weak upon the way the tips of his fingers touched your chin, lifting them up so that you could match his eyes.
“B-But why did you still choose to sign those papers? We were happy r-right? We were happy…” You chanted, tears streaming down your cheeks like a rapid pacing river.
“Yes, we were but I couldn’t risk you having a life that would haunt you forever. The reason behind our marriage would be a nightmare if we continued to keep it alive” Beomgyu whispered, wiping a stray tear that got close to his touch. Trying his best to deliver his words in a gentle manner, he would be lying if he said that his heart wasn’t breaking along with yours. Because damn… it’s already into pieces.
“I want us to have a relationship where there are no chains behind us. I want us to be free even if we’re together” Everything was daft and dim for you to understand.
You leaned your head on his chest and just by doing that. You instantly heard the way his heart was rapidly beating inside his rib cage, Beomgyu slowly wrapped both of his arms around you. You both stayed there for a couple of minutes, letting the quiet room relax and continue creating these loose ends of the current situation that both of you are in. Beomgyu’s father, your family, Ken, and the public eye, those are your enemies now and only the man in your arms is your weapon from their venomous words.
“Falling for you wasn’t falling at all. It was walking into a house and suddenly knowing you’re home” Beomgyu released, tightening his arm around you, your small body fitting in with his, like two pieces of a puzzle finally meeting each other once again. “I’m sorry…”
“For what?” You asked.
“For forcing you to sign our divorce papers” His words created a great dark cloud over your mind, they were filled with sadness and guilt.
You peeked your head up, catching a glimpse of Beomgyu’s pinched eyebrows and a frown settling on his face. His eyes were deep and lost but they suddenly lit up after hearing your voice beside his ear.
“I love you and I still do,” You confessed.
Beomgyu’s body froze after hearing those three words that he longed for after what happened today, pulling the ends of his lips, he placed a small smile before pressing a kiss on your forehead “Thank you, baby, thank you for loving me. For choosing me”
“Even if we’re not married or that I didn’t get to meet you, it’s still you who I’ll choose. I’ll find a way for us to meet under abstruse days” You continued, gulping down the heaviness on your heart.
“Fuck, you really hit something there” Beomgyu stated, chuckling at the way his heart matched the rhythm of yours quickly. Laughing, you broke his embrace and gathered yourself together, taking a deep breath on this new time ahead of you.
“It’s nice to hear you laughing again… it’s just… the whole day I get to hear your cries and pained sobs and you broke me by that”
Rolling your eyes playfully, you looked up to the second floor. Wondering what Siu was doing at this time of the day here in this new environment for him.
“I’ll go and look for Siu” You excused yourself, walking up the stairs. Hands locking around the doorknob that one of the housekeepers pointed at when you asked them where your brother decided to reside. Slowly, you pushed the wooden barrier, head peeking inside the guest room that he picked.
“You’re back!” Siu exclaimed, hopping off of his bed to rush his way towards your direction when he saw you.
“Hey, how are you doing here?” You asked, fully entering yourself inside the room.
“I’m doing okay” Siu smiled, walking himself back to bed. You couldn’t help but smile after only noticing now that he’s wearing Beomgyu’s clothes that are clearly way bigger than him. The sweatshirt was taking over his arms and the sweatpants that he was hearing were long, he had to fold them to make them fit.
“Did you eat already?”
“Yeah” Siu gave you a terse response, thinking that it was time to leave him alone from the day he faced today. You nodded your head and started heading to the door, a new feeling of happiness settling inside you after knowing that your brother is finally within your reach, he was now just a door away from you.
“If you need anything come find me and if you can’t… find Beomgyu” You smiled, turning off the lights in his room. You left him to be alone for the time being, walking to the very end of the hallway when you noticed that Beomgyu’s music room was open, the door was slightly open, and the small crack allowed light to leak in. You slowed down, hands pressing flat on the frosted glass door to push it open. You then were greeted at the sight of Beomgyu placing the guitar you gave him on its very own stand, filling up his collection perfectly. Beomgyu took a few steps back, analyzing the guitar placements.
“I think they all looked great” You announced your arrival when you entered the room.
The man inside almost jumped in shock after seeing you, Beomgyu nodded his head, trusting your words.
“Yeah?? You think so?”
“Uhuh,” You managed to say though your attention was focused on something else. You were focused on staring at his face, he still didn’t clean up his wounds, and it bothered you because they were still there.
“Are you going to tell me how you got that?” You started, pointing at the gash on his cheek.
Beomgyu seemed to forget that it was there from the way his hand went up to touch it. The wound was still fresh and it might get infected if he won’t clean it up immediately, crossing your arms around your chest, you waited for him to explain.
“When I gave my father the resignation letter, he threw a punch straight at me… funny right? I’m the one who continued our family name's legacy to the media and he decided to punch me in return?” He scoffed, running a hand to his hair frustratingly. Just the way the scenario played again and again inside his head angered him, it exhausted him almost to the point where it’s not surprising anymore.
Beomgyu still cared for his parents, he valued them like parental figures but after what happened. His eyes started looking at them differently, the way his heart felt for them turned different. At this point, he wishes to never see them again, but he expects his father to come back running to him, asking him to take his seat back in the company. He knows that will happen, someday. His thoughts were interrupted when he felt your hand wrapping around his wrist, you were already dragging him outside the room, “Let me clean up your wounds” you mumbled.
Taking the med kit out from the bottom cabinet of the bathroom, you opened it and started taking out the same things you used to treat his injuries. You didn’t say anything when you started, only feeling Beomgyu’s hands placed on both sides of your hips to keep you in place in front of him. You combed his hair back with the use of your fingers to reveal his forehead where a hidden scar resides, confused about where he got this because it was an old scar.
“I got that when I was drunk one night, I couldn’t lift a single muscle in me when that happened,” Beomgyu suddenly explained, his laugh filling up the bathroom.
“I used to drink when I had a lot of things to do… Yeonjun and the others were there when that happened. They drove me back home and when they were placing me back to bed, my forehead hit the bedside table”
“Ouch..” You laughed, cleaning up the remaining blood from his scar away with a cotton ball. You are almost done, you just needed to reach the small gash beside his eyebrow but you guessed the world was unfair due to your height differences. Beomgyu noticed you having a hard time reaching him, so he wrapped both arms around your waist and lifted you up, you were caught off guard so you grabbed onto his shoulders for support as he placed you on top of the sink. The position that you’re currently in made your stomach fuzzy, it was just that Beomgyu had his legs spread out so that you’re in between his thighs.
“Better?” He asked, closing his eyes and leaning down so that you could get a full view of his wound.
“Y-Yeah” You managed to say under heated cheeks, your hand was shaking from how close he was. You could feel his breathing fan your face along with the smell of his warm scent, his pointed nose, and long lashes made you admire the man in front of you more.
“Done…” You licked your lips moist afterward, turning your attention to the med kit beside you. Putting the things back inside but Beomgyu’s hands stopped you from doing so.
“Look at me?”His sudden solemn request made your body turn weak, his voice was deep for he was only inches away from you to touch. You chewed down your bottom lip from the way the sudden turn was created, the used to be comfortable atmosphere was now replaced with a tantalizing breeze. The room grew hot or was it just you feeling it?
When you didn’t follow his request. Beomgyu turned your head to face him, taking your breath away from the way he stared at you. “You still have this” he followed, taking your left hand and showing you the ring that he gave you that one night on the balcony. Only realizing that he only took the ring that his parents gave you, your heart swelled with so much emotion when you remembered the words he said to you under the moonlight.
“You’re carrying a piece of me” Beomgyu spoke under a heavy breath before capturing your lips into a kiss that he longed for. A kiss where he would get to escape what the cruel world has to offer to him, responding to his seductive lips, you parted yours open and allowed him inside instantly. Almost as if there was a switch that turned on inside him, Beomgyu pushed you further back onto the countertop so that your back was hitting the mirror from behind. Sounds of your moans were playing music to his ears and with his groans echoing inside your head, you pulled him closer, wrapping your arms around his neck and playing with his hair.
His lips were always soft and addicting, the way they danced with yours was a feeling that you were lucky to feel. Beomgyu pulled your lip with so much force that you let out a small cry, not from pain but from pleasure when his hand slipped inside of your shirt. His warm hand was sending chills down your whole body, your breathing getting heavier from the moment they touched your breasts.
“Can I fuck you here, baby?” he asked, breaking the kiss “Please?”
From the moment you were about to nod your head, your body heated up from the way he swept his hair back. Beomgyu pulled you closer to him with the use of your thighs, making sure that you were as close as possible to him. “Strawberry?” he asked, making sure that he got the safe word right.
“Strawberry” You nodded your head, closing your eyes and letting this moment eat you whole. Beomgyu took the lead, his large hands going behind you so that they could unhook your bra swiftly, you saw how the ends of his lips twitched up, smirking at the sight. Your eyes rolled back when you felt his wet lips land kisses on your jaw down to your collarbone, his teeth biting when he got the chance to do so. You kept your moans in. You did, you tried. But he was just so good at making you feel things you’ve never felt before that only he could create.
Beomgyu stopped kissing your neck when he pulled away, his lips red and full as he removed his shirt, his toned body feeding your eyes instantly. You ran your fingers up to the mountains on his stomach, closing his eyes. Beomgyu leaned his head up with both of his eyes closed, his deep breaths catching your attention.
“Get down” He ordered, voice low and raspy.
You followed his order and hopped off the countertop. Beomgyu didn’t waste a single time slipping away to remove your shirt also, tossing it to the side as he pressed quick kisses on your lips. While in the middle of getting lost in that sweetness, you removed your bra properly on your body, both upper bodies bare for your eyes to see. Beomgyu’s hands seemed to be wanting more for they traveled down on removing the bottom part of your clothes, his hands were quick and steady on removing them. You then were spun around to face the mirror behind the sink, you could see the way his hair was getting wet from sweat and his body looming behind you, it created a whole new wave of heat between your legs when he pulled your clothing down. Now only leaving you in your panties.
“Shit…” You moaned, closing your eyes when he buried his face in the crook of your neck, his hands were busy playing with you from below.
“You’re already wet, baby” Beomgyu smirked, “ It’s been just my hands”
You could only reply with shaky breaths from the way he placed your panties to the side so that he could play with your folds. His long and slender fingers doing their magic for your knees to grow weak. Getting numb to the feeling, you opened your eyes and took his lips, silencing your moans with a kiss that he gladly replied back. Between your exchange, Beomgyu stopped playing with your folds and kept his hands to himself so that he could remove his jeans. The growing feeling in him was keeping him crazy.
“On your knees” Beomgyu’s dirty words lit up the flame inside of you. You were quick to obey his orders, getting ready to serve him until you’d break in front of him.
“Fuck, you wanted this so bad, huh?” Beomgyu started, showing you a piece of himself that he kept hidden under his pants. They were twitching from the way you looked up at him with pleading eyes, your cheeks were red from the heat flowing around the bathroom.
“Open up- fuck!” You didn’t waste a single thing when you took his long shaft inside your mouth, sucking them, playing the tip with your tongue, and coating them with your saliva. Beomgyu had his full attention on you, loving the way you’re looking right now, eyes rolling backward whenever he would thrust his dick further down your throat. Gagging noises were leaving you when he grabbed a fish full of your hair to push your head up and down on his dick. His moans were leaving you energized so you decided to tease him by playing with the tip of them, teeth lazily running past them with your mouth sucking him in.
“Y-You’re so good… shit” His breathy tone greeted your ears, you continued doing your task, bobbing your head up and down and taking him deep. Trying your best to breathe through your nose from the way you’d take him all in. Beomgyu gripped the ends of the countertop tighter, his knuckles turning white from the way you’re making him feel so good with your mouth alone.
You were about to suck him in deeper but he stopped you, pulling his long shaft out of your mouth. Beomgyu kissed the side of your lips before whispering his intoxicating words, “Bend over” your eyes widened in surprise. He’s going to do it here and now.
Following his words, you stood up from your kneeling position and bent over the bathroom sink, your reflection in the mirror clouding up from the heat inside the room. Beomgyu tossed his head backward, a smile showing on his lips when he caught sight of your bare pussy. He didn’t say anything but pushed himself inside, the procedure was easy and quick for his dick was already coated with your saliva, your moans grew louder but you kept a hand to cover them shut, afraid that someone might hear.
“No one’s going to hear you, baby. We’re all alone” Beomgyu said, his hot voice sending chills down your spine for the way he growls. They were deep and strong, like the way he’s pounding his way inside of you at a rather speed that you can’t comprehend.
“Beomgyu!” You audibly gasped when you felt him pinch one of your nipples. He just couldn’t get enough of you. The way you moaned his name, whined for more, and cried from pleasure, you’re driving him insane.
“H-Harder” You managed to say through broken words from the way he drilled his dick inside of you without mercy. You wanted more, and so did he.
Beomgyu was loving this sight in front of him, your face was hidden in your palms, and the way the mirror is capturing everything for him to see. His hand went down to play with you, pushing you further to your release, he played like it was his toy, they rubbed circles around them, pinched them, and rubbed them wet.
You felt like your mind was being placed in different places, this feeling was so good that it got you releasing way sooner than you expected. Your white outcome coated him, Beomgyu closed his eyes and gripped the sides of your hips tighter as he pounded inside of you until it was his turn to break.
“S-Shit” He whispered, halting his actions when he felt himself spill his thick juices inside of you. You were left breathless from what just happened. Beomgyu licked his lips moist before pressing a kiss on your lips, pulling out, and there you felt empty but full at the same time from his cum.
Beomgyu chuckled after seeing your flushed cheeks after realizing what just happened. You had bathroom sex with him… you had bathroom sex with him!
“Let’s get ourselves cleaned up, baby” Beomgyu said sweetly, wrapping his arms around you to help you stand up. His gentle arms embraced you as you closed your eyes when he planted a light kiss on top of your head.
“I-I hate you so much”
“Hmm?” His smirk widened after seeing you try your best to walk, it felt like he was watching a toddler taking their first steps.
His laugh increased its sound but he was still helping you get inside the shower with him, the warm water running down your skin with Beomgyu hugging you from behind. He then suddenly rested his hands on top of your stomach, then you just remembered that he came inside of you.
“I know” He beats you to it.
“Do you want me to take pills?” You asked, careful about your words. Beomgyu rested his face down to the crook of your neck, his thumb caressing the skin on your stomach.
“No… because I’m already seeing my future with you… that’s why I want you to carry our child” His voice was light as if he was stopping himself from smiling. You nodded your head, your cheeks already aching from the way they were smiling with him the whole time.
———
The next day, you woke up in an empty bedroom. The tall curtains were already spread open for the sun to shine through, and the other side of the bed was still warm, saying that Beomgyu also woke up some time ago. You got yourself out of bed, getting ready for the day so you went inside the bathroom to brush your teeth, you then stopped after remembering what happened here on this very spot last night. You calmed your rapid-beating heart down, washing your face and wearing a sweatshirt that you grabbed from the chair where Beomgyu would sometimes sit whenever he got work to do.
“Oh? You see that? Tricks I tell you” You heard Siu’s laugh coming from the kitchen and when you arrived at the scene, you were greeted by the sight of Beomgyu cooking breakfast. Siu was sitting on a barstool, clapping his hands in astonishment when the man in charge of the pancakes did a successful toss.
“Look who’s awake” Siu spoke up when he saw you, taking the spot beside him. You sat down and watched Beomgyu place a newly made circle pancake on your plate.
“Thanks…”
“You’re welcome” Beomgyu smiled, setting the pan down and sitting down beside you. Grabbing the bottle of syrup that he can’t live without if there are pancakes.
“What time are you leaving for school?” You asked your brother as you took a bite of the breakfast that was so good that got you taking another.
“Around 8?” He answered, gulping down his glass of water. The three of you finished eating breakfast with full stomachs, the two boys helped you wash the dishes and once it was done, Siu went up running the stairs to grab his bag after seeing the time.
He returned soon enough, he was putting the straps of his backpack on his shoulder with messy movements so you decided to step in. Stopping him so that you could help Siu wear his backpack properly.
“Do you need a ride?” Beomgyu suddenly volunteered, showing the two of you one of the car keys that he got twirling around his fingers.
“Why did you suddenly volunteer to do this?” You asked after getting inside the car with him in the driver's seat. Siu was comfortably sitting on the back, listening to the music coming from the speakers.
“What do you mean?”
“Driving Siu to school,” You said after putting your seatbelt on.
“I don’t have anything else to do” He replied back, hinting that he’s basically unemployed at the moment. The whole ride was filled with smiles, Beomgyu was playing tricks and giving tips to Siu on how he could ace his exam whilst you were commenting on how stupid some of his advice was. It made your heart grow soft, slowly switching your glance at the man beside you, he was driving with one hand, looking like a househusband from the way he was only wearing a sweatshirt and some sweatpants, his hair was fluffy as it hovered over his eyes. Feeling the car stop, you watched as your little brother open the car door but he stopped mid-way after seeing the looks some of his classmates were giving him. They were used to seeing him arrive at a bus but now he got a luxury car dropping him off, the feeling was surreal as Siu sighed heavily.
“Bye?” He started, taking his backpack.
“Yeah, and do you want us to pick you up later too?” You asked, looking back at the back seat.
“No, I’ll be fine. Thank you, big brother, for driving me here” Those were his last words before he closed the door, walking to the main building of his school with his head hung low, trying his best to avoid the eyes of everybody.
“He’ll be fine” Beomgyu suddenly said with his soft voice calming you down. You just can’t help but get worried for him after what happened yesterday, what if some kids started bullying him? Nodding your head slowly, you swallowed down the lump in your throat when Boemgyu started driving again. He didn’t say anything the whole ride but the silence was comfortable for it was telling the truth that after everything that’s happened, nothing changed between the two of you.
“What’s he doing here?” Beomgyu asked himself with his jaw clenched, his grip around the steering wheel getting tighter when his eyes landed on his father standing in the doorway of the house. He was fidgeting and from the looks of it, he was carrying a white envelope. You followed Beomgyu who first got out of the car, his long strides marching towards his father. Standing behind him, you studied the man in front of you, his hair was messy from the way he was pulling them earlier and his eyes were deep and tired.
“Beomgyu!-”
“What the fuck are you doing here in my house?” Beomgyu’s voice was serious, it was nothing like you’ve ever heard before, he was serious before in his business matters but right now it was totally different. They were dangerous almost to the point where you saw his father’s eyes shake in fear after seeing his son spit at him angrily.
“Son, can we talk?” He asked, trying to touch Beomgyu’s shoulder but he was quick to take a step back. Grabbing your hand, Beomgyu dragged you along with him to the front door, ignoring the man standing out of place. Your breath hitched when you heard him call your name, it was almost like he was pleading for at least one of you to talk to him.
“Beomgyu…” You muttered, gently tugging his hand on yours.
Beomgyu closed his eyes with his adam’s apple bobbing up and down, trying to regain composure from this destructive feeling bubbling inside his chest. He opened the front door and pushed it further, “We’ll talk in my office” there, Beomgyu left without saying another word with you still locked in his hold.
The room felt suffocating from the moment you sat down in one of the empty chairs of Beomgyu’s home office, he was sitting down behind his desk, owning the whole room when his eyes watched his father take a seat on the other side of his oak desk.
“What is there to talk about?” Beomgyu started, resting both of his elbows on top of the flat surface. You quietly listened, hands playing with each other due to fear. Afraid of what he’s going to say, will he ask you to leave his son? Give you your own house so that you won’t be living under the same roof as Beomgyu because the two of you are now divorced?
Beomgyu’s sharp eyes followed his father’s gaze, his eyes traveled to the envelope that he was holding.
“That quickly?” He scoffed, the ends of his lips twitching up to a smile after recognizing what that white envelope was. It was his resignation letter, he knew that this time would come, but not this soon.
“Son, the company won’t last without a leader, you need to-”
“To go back and make some money so that you could pay your fucking debts? Father, how about it’s your turn to take that position? Be the CEO and take my desk. I’ve already built it up from scrap and now it’s your time to play with it” Beomgyu responded.
“I did- I tried. I went to the company earlier” Your eyes slightly grew wide from what you just heard. He what?
“Oh? Was it fun?” You heard Beomgyu say mockingly, playing with a pen that he randomly got.
“Beomgyu, I need you to take this seriously!” His father suddenly shouted, flinching your poor soul but the man he was talking to remained still and unmoving.
“I am taking this seriously! Why are you even asking me to come back?! Ask Ken’s help and he would gladly take that spot! Since you two are together at this!” Beomgyu’s loud voice roared in the vast room, it caught you off guard for this was your first time hearing him shout.
Beomgyu stared at his father’s eyes with tears. His pupils were shaking from immense anger and frustration, his chest was heaving up and down from the way he held eye contact.
“Dad… I-I’m tired, alright? I’m tired with all of this,” He mentioned his home office with slumped shoulders.
“I’m tired of you always telling me what to do and basically forcing me to take care of the company. I’m tired of all of this… I just want to rest with Y/n… I want to feel what it’s like to be in a world where there are no cameras and press up to my face. I don’t even want to be a CEO in the first place and get myself involved with the business world, you forced me that one day. You woke me up, took me to your car, and drove me to the company without knowing what my life would be like after taking that title” Beomgyu allowed his tears to fall, years were spent on building this wall around him for his father but it all came crashing down when he finally opened his emotions towards him.
“I wasted three years of my life. Three fucking years of my life trying to make you proud but I didn’t get any reaction from you in return”
Your heart shattered after hearing his quiet sobs, his slightly red eyes looking at you from afar, taking your presence in the room as a reminder that you are his safe space.
“What do you want me to do?” You heard his father say under heavy breaths. Beomgyu placed both hands on his hips and chewed down on his lip. Thinking.
“I want to be out of the chaos you created and I want Ken to be put behind bars for releasing an article without the possessor's consent. He created an article on his own in an attempt to break one's life, he even kicked Siu out of Y/n’s apartment and tossed him outside like he was some sort of trash, which can be found as an abusive move in the younger one's eyes,” Beomgyu spoke with a straight face, he was brave for this. He was brave for this because he used to hide his own voice from those who are older than him, but now he’s using it to fix the broken parts that he failed to fix years ago due to his experience.
“Now leave”
You watched as his father let out a heavy sigh, taking his word. He turned and walked away, closing the door behind him and at that moment, Beomgyu quickly broke down to his hands and knees. His sobs were reaching your ears and you immediately ran your way towards him. Kneeling down to grab his shaking figure, your warm arms going around him to pull him close to you, whispering reassuring words to his ears as you placed his head on your chest. Ignoring the fact that your clothes were getting wet from his tears, you focused yourself on rubbing soothing circles on his back, cooing sweet nothings.
Beomgyu was always there to wipe your tears away and now it’s your turn.
———
“Damn… what the hell?” Yeonjun breathed out after he saw what the television had to say.
“He deserves it,” Taehyun said to himself, leaning his back to his chair as all of you quietly listened to the news reporter through the speakers. It was shown to the whole world who Ken really was, a fraud, a man who got no self-control until he get what he wants, the news also showed his schemes behind your marriage on how he planned on ruining it.
“Fucking hell? What’s on his mind?” Soobin gasped after seeing the handwritten letter that Ken left for the media to see.
“I would like to tell the side of my story. Yes I did try and ruin Rhee Y/n and Choi Beomgyu’s marriage and I would say to myself that I succeed on the first try, I revealed the truth. Their marriage was fake. I had a history with Rhee Y/n, she was my past lover. Their marriage was fake due to some business deals but It was not my place to write it here. I’m just here to admit my faults and accept my fate behind bars but additionally, I'm not the only one who had bad blood under this agreement. Rhee Ari was also involved.”
Your eyes fumed after seeing the letter on the flat screen tv, but it died down when the sound of the office doors opened. Beomgyu walked in wearing one of his black suits, it felt weird of him to set foot once again in his office when he’s already resigned but there was a reason for his visit.
“Let’s go?” Yeonjun was the first one to speak, standing up and turning the television off. Not wanting to hear about the current topic anymore.
“Let's go,” Beomgyu replied shortly, his hand extending out to reach you. And once he finally did, he gave it a light squeeze to lift the worry away from your face.
“It'll be fine” He whispered, locking your hand with his but his words were not enough to tame your heart from the moment all of you reached the lobby of C.B Enterprises. There were so many cameras outside and the ones who were allowed to enter all stood up from their seats after seeing all of you.
“Is it true that your marriage with each other is fake?”
“What happened between the two families? Was there any history?”
“Do you two even have the same feelings for each other?”
“Choi Beomgyu! Is it true that you resigned your title as CEO?”
Your breathing felt like it stopped after hearing their questions. This was all arranged because Beomgyu wanted to make things finally clear for everyone, he would tell time what happened not as the CEO but as him. Choi Beomgyu.
“Are you only using him for expenses?? Is it even real?!” One crazy reporter shouted, shoving the microphone in front of you.
“Irrelevant question, please stay back” Taehyun came in, pushing the reporter away and placing a comforting hand on top of your shaking figure. Their words. It's like someone was whispering it inside your mind, it's draining you.
Parting your lips open, your grip around Beomgyu’s hand loosened. Taking Taehyun’s hand, you dragged him with you. Away from the crowded lobby, you noticed his worried look when you left but you gave him a small smile and mouthed that you'll be fine.
“You okay?” Taehyun asked, stopping his tracks and forcing you to face him. You were sweating and your breathing was unstable.
You could only nod your head, mind light and empty when it was his turn to drag you somewhere. Only finding yourself back inside Beomgyu’s office. Taehyun gently guided you on sitting down, saying that he'll come back.
“Here, drink this” You took the glass of water that he got from the small bar inside the office. Watching him turn the television on, it was immediately switched to the channel where Beomgyu is currently facing. It was supposed to be the two of you down there, but a sudden panic engulfed you, breaking you down.
“Taehyun… I'm scared”
“Huh? Don’t be, Beomgyu’s got this” He was quick to say, knowing that the man on the screen already planned everything from top to bottom. You watched Beomgyu stand in the middle of the room with Yeonjun and Soobin standing behind him as emotional support.
The whole room suddenly turned quiet when he looked at one of the cameras directly. His sharp eyes cutting through the lens.
“Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Choi Beomgyu, former CEO of C.B Enterprises. I indeed resigned from the position due to personal matters but in future times I might return to this industry but not as the CEO. And I am here to address the scandal going around I had upon coming to my marriage” Beomgyu speaks eloquently, standing still as he still remained his composure.
“I am here to tell you the truth. We faced our battles behind the cameras, we faced our marriage that is indeed fake behind closed doors-”
“Why is it?”
“I ask you to please not interrupt me whilst I’m in the middle of taking my words. Thank you” Even though he doesn’t have a title right now, Beomgyu still made the curious reporter shut his mouth, sinking back to his seat. Embarrassed.
“It’s nothing to worry about for when I signed those papers, I knew from the start that I’m in big trouble. How can I save her from falling when I’m also falling deep?” Beomgyu smiled, remembering snippets of your memories with him. The two of you cooking together, the trip to Daegu, and everything that happened over the past months.
All of the people widened their eyes after hearing what the young man just said. They were all shocked because, after years of him having this stoic face and having no interest, he finally opened up his shell, he showed emotions.
“I would like to put my professional matters to the side as you’re now going to see me talk as Choi Beomgyu, a young man without business talks. I’m here to say what I’ve been wanting to say under all these years when I took the position as the CEO” You smiled, proud to finally hear him talk in his true self.
“I never wanted to take the place behind that desk but under my journey, I learned new things, became more mature, and met the love of my life along the way. The accusations of some people that Y/n’s only using me, you’re wrong. She is using me, she’s using me to love herself so that she could repay it by loving me back and I followed her. She’s this missing piece in my life and when she finally came, everything was complete and I do wish and hope that you’ll respect our lives. We are currently divorced due to some matters… but I’m planning on marrying her again and again just to show her how much I love her” Beomgyu looked at the camera, almost as if he was staring at you through the screen, a light smile on his lips. You bit down your urge to cry after hearing everything that he said, it danced in your heart, it sang to your ears and it soothed your mind.
“This is Choi Beomgyu… thank you for listening and in under twenty minutes I would answer other questions with the help of Choi Yeonjun and Choi Soobin” He quickly broke the gaze, and a huge wave of reporters came asking the three.
“Wow…” Taehyun breathed out, taking the spot beside you.
You smiled, wiping a stray tear that escaped from your eyes, and watched the love of your life through the screen. Wearing his serious face whilst answering some questions that they throw at him, he looked so professional in how he listened to them and had both hands inside his pockets.
“He really loves you huh?”
“Yeah…” You laughed through your tears, feeling emotional all of a sudden, placing a hand on your stomach to stop the series of laughter to escape when Taehyun rolled his eyes playfully. Then you heard the sound of his phone ringing, the caller showed on his screen. Answering, Taehyun stood up from his seat.
“Right now?... uh yeah? She’s here in the office with me?... what? No!” You watched him talk to the caller with curious eyes and ears. Taehyun ended the short conversation and placed his phone back inside his pocket, fixing his glasses and pushing them to the bridge of his nose whilst showing you a small smile.
“I need to go down there, they need my help with something… are you going to be alright here all alone?”
“Yes! Don’t bother they need you” You quickly shook your head with your hands in the air to stop him from staying with you. You already dragged Taehyun in here from your sudden panic. He gave you another one of his smiles, the apples of his cheekbones showing as he nodded his head.
“Okay… I'll get going now” Soon, it was just you inside the immense office, the faint sound coming from the television speakers accompanied you. It was good while it lasted when the office doors busted open, shocking you from seeing Ari marching in angrily. You looked at the doors again, there should be a face recognition there? How did she get in?
“You!” She hissed, stopping right in front of you, her face screamed anger as the palm of her hand greeted your face with a hard hit. Your eyes slightly widened when she advanced toward you. You fixed your stance and braced for the impact, but you caught her hand that was supposed to land another hit on you. Throwing it to the side, it’s your turn to slap her across the face.
Ari’s eyes were blazing with infuriation, “I lost my job because of you!”
She took your hand and attempted to throw you to the side but you stayed put and clawed your nails down her skin.
“Fuck! Ari!” You heard Beomgyu’s voice rushing in, he grabbed her arm and wrist to stop her from attacking you. “Stop it!” he said, his grip around her tightening.
Ari ignored him, her angered groans filled the room along with your pained winces from the way she continued yanking your hair.
“Let… go of me!” Ari was soon pulled apart by Beomgyu, he kept her in place but she took all of her strength to fight back. You were breathing heavily, eyes were teary from the stinging pain coming from your cheek.
Then she quickly faced you and pushed you back with a very strong force. Your breath hitched along with your eyes widening when you lost your balance, your back bumping against the door before you fell hard on the cold floor.
A cry escaped your mouth when you felt a sharp sting somewhere in your stomach. You slowly looked down when you felt something wet between your thighs. What?
You watched as blood stained your legs, your body going cold with your head spinning, and your pained cries increased when you reached the stain with a shaky hand. The faint raised voice of someone was blurred out from your ears to hear, your heart was beating rapidly when a pair of strong arms carried you carefully but with hurried movements. Beomgyu was in havoc, his whole body dropped when the chaos inside his head increased.
He was terrified, angry, surprised, and frustrated at the way you were about to close your eyes under his arms. He was in a mess but he remained strong for you… and fuck. The blood was haunting him… a-are you pregnant?
“Baby, wake up. Please, wake up” He said in a shattered voice. “Baby…”
“B-Beomgyu… I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!” Ari cried.
Beomgyu fumingly snapped his attention at her, his jaw clenched “If something bad happens to her and…” He took a deep breath. “ If something bad happens to her and our child, I’m fucking done with you. I’m never forgiving you”
Beomgyu rushed out of the office, carrying you as he was the only one that could save you. Going from the back of the building to the parking, he pressed a kiss on top of your head first before hitting the gas pedal all the way, driving to the hospital with a panicked state of mind.
“S-Sir you need to stay here and wait for the results to arrive!” One nurse blocked his way to enter the room where you were currently in.
“How can I stay here when my wife is in there?!” Beomgyu frustratingly responded, falling back to the seat outside the room when he heard frantic footsteps come close.
“We came as fast as we could, what happened?” Soobin started, him panting at every breath he would take.
“Y/n… she’s inside and I think she’s pregnant”
“Hold the fuck up? What?!” Yeonjun came in, his eyes wide and a hand up in the air of surprise.
“I’m sorry Beomgyu! It’s my fault! I didn’t check the doors when I left her there! I thought I closed it completely!” Taehyun spoke through shaky breaths, scared of what might happen next.
“It’s alright… she will be fine… right?” Beomgyu asked his friends, looking up with his eyes messy and hair disheveled.
“Yeah… she will” Yeonjun comforted him, taking the spot beside Beomgyu to rub soothing circles on the younger one.
“What about Ari? What did you do to her?”
“We dragged her out of your office… easy as that” Soobin shrugged his shoulders, also sitting down as they waited for something from you. Then all of them instantly looked at the door when they heard it open and close, one doctor came out, holding a chart as he took a deep breath first. Beomgyu felt like he was about to be the patient at this point.
“Good news… the baby is fine along with Miss. Y/n and we did a full check-up, she’s four weeks pregnant. She needs to stay here for a week to do some finalization of her condition but everything else is good. You may enter inside now” The doctor nodded his head afterward, closing his folder and walking away.
Silence. Pure silence filled the hallway when they all registered what the doctor just said. Beomgyu couldn’t help but close his mouth with the use of his hands, a smile failing to escape when he fully took in what just happened.
“You’re a father!” Soobin came in to hit his shoulder playfully.
“Would you look at that?” Yeonjun laughed.
“Oh fuck all of you” Beomgyu started, standing up from his seat to enter the room where you’re currently at. You were crying when he saw you, a tissue on your hand and a hand on top of your chest, the feeling was surreal. You’re eating for two.
You quickly looked at Beomgyu who was standing in the doorway, he too was crying from joy to see you alive and well in front of him. He watched you open your arms, an invite for him to accept.
“I was so worried…” Beomgyu whispered beside your ear, hugging you with his heart beating at the same pace as yours.
“Don’t be… we’re fine” You smiled also including the growing life inside of you.
———
“Double hit that shit!!” All of you turned your heads inside the entertainment room of the resort that Beomgyu and his friends rented, the whole resort was free for all of you to use. They were inside, playing cards in the name of blackjack, his side was filled with chips and they were having a heated battle about what Beomgyu would do. They were having a full one debate right now from the twenty chips on the line.
You bit down your lip to stop a laugh, Yujun, Suji and Miyoung are here with you outside, the secretaries of Yeonjun and Soobin. The four of you are circled around the patio, drinks on hand but you’re only drinking a cold glass of water due to your pregnancy.
“It looks like the games are about to end” Yujun laughed, taking a sip from her wine.
“I’ll go and help him” You stood up, sliding the glass doors open. Allowing your knowledge about the game to be of use when all the boys looked at you.
“You know how to play?” Soobin started as you made your way towards Beomgyu’s side of the table.
“I know a few tricks” You smiled, letting yourself fall down on his lap when Beomgyu pulled you to sit down, his arm snaking around your waist as he showed you his cards.
“How are my babies?” You heard him say beside your ear, his other hand resting on top of your four-month-old bump. “We’re fine… but your cards don’t look like it” you teased, scanning the table.
Hueningkai was the dealer as he stood in the center, Yeonjun and Soobin were his opponents. Hueningkai slid a card towards you and you took it carefully, “Hit one”
“Hit one!” Soobin clapped his hands, watching you put one card down the table. The card you showed was a King, meaning it’s a ten.
“Oh, shit,” Beomgyu said in amusement, looking at your opponent who also placed one card below him.
You looked at Yeonjun’s card, it was a nine.
“Hit one,” You said with confidence, throwing another card. This time it was an eight. Now you have eighteen cards, this game is a race to reach twenty-one cards and your position right now is sketchy.
Yeonjun looked at his cards first, his eyes reading them carefully.
“So?” Beomgyu laughed when his friend showed a card, It was a five.
“Twenty chips!!” Hueningkai tossed two chips to Beomgyu who only caught them with one hand. Yeonjun watched his chips leave him with a silent goodbye, handing Beomgyu his desired money.
The game only contains two rounds and whoever reaches the higher one wins under those rounds.
“I didn’t know that you play?” Beomgyu asked, taking his deck of cards and calling his rotation an end because you’re now with him.
“I used to back then” You followed, standing up. Satisfied with your victory, you dragged Beomgyu with you back to the patio. He took the seat beside you with his arm going behind your chair so it looks like he had his arm over your shoulder.
“How was the game?” Suji asked.
“Y/n won it for me” Beomgyu laughed, taking a small sip of his glass of beer.
All of you laughed as they praised you for ruining Yeonjun’s win streak. You looked at the man beside you with soft eyes, for the past month he stayed by your side when he found out that you were pregnant. He would visit the company from time to time that’s now under his father’s hold in the meantime. Beomgyu decided to take a year break, he fixed the conflict with his father by having to talk to him, and they exchanged words with you in the room so that Beomgyu could have some sense of tranquility.
What shocked you, even more, was that Beomgyu still being the CEO of C.B Enterprises after everything that happened under his refusal to return. He said to you that the company did need him, but he would return once the time was right for he still wants to be with you. You leaned your head on his shoulder, surprising the man in return.
“What’s wrong?” He sounded alert which you only replied with a laugh.
“Nothing…” You whispered, lifting your chin up so that you could see his face. Beomgyu raised an eyebrow, the ends of his lips twitching up to a smirk.
“What?” He asked, a deep chuckle escaping his lips.
“What about us?” You started.
“What do you mean, what about us?” He returned, putting his glass down.
“We fell in love, right?” You continued, taking his hand.
“We sure did” Beomgyu followed, planting a kiss on top of your head as he held your hand, playing with the ring that still sat there.
Never in your life that you expected that this is how your life is going to be when you signed those papers and confessed your words under the altar. You were entering a new path with a blurry faze but this man beside you built this whole new world with you. A world where you’re now happy to have someone by your side.
“How do you feel now that your wedding is going to be next month? I’m panicking!!” Miyoung fanned herself, watching the cute scene in front of her.
“I’m not” You laughed, “I’m not nervous actually since I’ve been married before”
“But you weren’t pregnant before” Yujun pointed at your stomach which was growing bigger each day.
“What about you Beomgyu? Are you planning to follow that little one?”
“Already? I haven’t given birth yet!” You replied making the man beside you laugh.
“I’m actually planning on it right now”
“What the?! Choi Beomgyu!” You attacked, their waves of laughter filling up the whole space from the scene unfolding.
You took me by surprise
The way you walked into my darkened life
You sent the storm away
Never expected you to be a friend to me
You meant much more than that
You were the only one
Who saw me cry when I was all alone
The finest words you said
Carefully whispered to me in the dark
Come here and I will always be
You meant much more than that
(I love you)

overtime
♡ sunghoon ﹒ female reader genre office au soft thought fluff word count 300 warnings petnames — bookshelf
Tumblr media
thinking about ceo sunghoon who secretly loves to keep you overtime. he would eye you carefully, his thin brimmed specs glinting through his office windows. he’s well aware you dread staying for more than what you signed up for, but how can one resist? it’s undeniable that you leave him utterly smitten; his cheeks reddening at even the tiniest details he takes note of.
if he could name a few, it would be the way your hair neatly falls over your sleek blazer, or how your eyebrows furrow in concentration whenever you’re typing something .. the list could go on.
“here’s the report you asked for..” your arm outstreches in sunghoon’s direction, handing him the papers you worked ridiculously long on. he would teasingly flip through each page; scrutinizing it.
“mm 3 pages? that’s not going to cut it, love.” LOVE ??? that couldn’t be right. your gaze was solely fixated on the ground; far too embarrassed to meet his eyes. you could already depict the sly look plastered on his face.
“what?” you’d finally ask in response, your heart suddenly palpitating. you tried convincing yourself that you might’ve just mistaken the words that slipped through sunghoon’s mouth. but for some odd reason, you yearned to hear those same words again.
“nothing, get back to work.” he’d softly mumble, suppressing a subtle smirk while pretending to be engrossed in his computer. he was hoping you didn’t notice the tips of his ears becoming a light shade of red.
maybe staying overtime isn’t as bad as you thought ..

hear me out ceo yeonjun fucking you hard after he saw you get too close to someone else…
here you go anonie <3
warning: breeding kink (for you guys) , degradation(whore, slut), toxic yeonjun, jealousy
“You whore, fucking- fucking take it.” Yeonjun growls as he pounds into you from over his desk. You only came to give him his lunch but got caught in a conversation with his secretary Beomgyu :( you only wanted to ask where to put the food you made him but now here you were getting punished and put in your place. Coming to his work place dressed in a short white frilly fairy dress, a little boob window where the slit is placed and with your little basket of goodies riled him up enough but when he caught you looking like that and talking to Beomgyu, or rather being eye-fucked by his secretary unknowingly he just had to let you and everyone who worked under him know who you were and where you belonged.
“A-Ah~ Yes! Right there please! Jjunie oh- Oh my go- ugh~” You moaned as he thrusted, nails digging into your hips as he pounded hard enough to leave your ass cheeks red. “Shut the fuck up. fuck- letting other men look at you dressed that way- you’re mine you hear me?” He scolds before speeding up, hips moving carefully as he made sure to go head to head with your cervix threatening you with his babies if he so much as willed it.
“Should make you nice and round yeah? let everyone know you have someone keeping you full and satisfied.” He growls before grabbing one of your legs and putting it on the desk, now you’re only held up by one leg as he finds a new way to pound into you, leaning down and biting into your shoulder while you sob and beg to cum, beg for him to slow down and let you cum. But Jjunie isn’t giving that to you, not when Beomgyu is listening from the outside, he doesn’t need to know how you sound when you cum. Not even if it’s on Yeonjuns cock.
“Whores don’t get to cum, should have thought about that before wearing that dress.” He snaps his hips with his words, finally feeling that tightness in his balls. “Gonna make you a mommy yeah? Wanna go home filled up by me baby?” He asks and before you get to answer, struggling with your own moans and breathing to even respond, he cums, the most guttural moan you’ve ever heard from him comes out from his chest and he stills, letting himself go completely. Spurt after spurt it feels like you’re there taking it for minutes at a time, feeling him paint your walls white and impregnate you out of spite. “Good girl, taking all my cum. Go home and send me some nice videos of you fucking it back inside yeah?” He praises before giving a small kiss to your back and pulling out, fixing himself up and leaving you fucked out and dumb with cum dribbling down your thighs while he eats the sandwich you packed him on the way out. He was a busy CEO after all.

Hello, Can we be friends please?
▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️
*under the cut*
🔳
"Ugh....I am so tired and can't even make myself ready to attend today's class." The lazy ass of your is not having a little bit of energy to got to show yourself to the university. This is your last year in this university as a computer science student and still you are not giving a proper attention to the classes.
Last week, you got a letter from the principal to maintain the attendance before the exams or she will mark you absent. Like WTH! Its not like you are a bad student. You are pretty good with extra knowledge in some co-curricular activities. You are always praised for this but you just always feel tired to leave your room.
Walking through the passage around the hall, you glance at your wrist watch showing you having more ten minutes before the class. Suddenly you felt someone hangs their hand around your neck and you already know who this can be.
"Why are you always so energetic?" you giving him a pout but he makes a cringe expression. His smile is so contagious that even if you are in your gloomy mood, you will automatically smile when looking at him for once.
"Why are you so tired always?" mimicking your tone, he is laughing loudly for which the few students passing by are looking at you both as if they can see the most amusing creatues on this planet.
"Yaa Beomgyu!" you hit his arm.
"What Y/N!" you ignored his look and then turned to your right to enter the class and he followed you closely behind still laughing at you.
——————————-
Entering the class, you can see some students were gossiping something in a group but it was loud enough for you to hear it.
"Have you heard about them before?"
"No."
"Professor Kim told some of the students that they are here for some special projects from a well-known hiring company. They have come here to hire some students from the last year as their special recruit."
"We are in our last year so maybe we can have chance for getting in that company. Then we can marry those handsome boys."
"You are really over excited for stupid things, shut up."
——————————
"Beomgyu, who are they talking about?" you asked your friend hoping to get some detailed updates of your university. Maybe you should attend more classes to know what's going on all around, always staying in your dorm is not going to help you with your company recruitment. You groaned in frustration about all these thoughts. You both took your seats to wait for your professor.
"Oh! There are these two new boys. I mean they look like students but they are CEO of Blue Bird Organization. The one I want to get into but don't have enough good result for that."
"Okay! But isn't that company too strict for the CV overview and interview process?" You are still confused as to why this company is coming to your university for special projects.
"Hello students! We all know what is the special occasion we are going to have on next week. This is your last year and you all will be looking for different jobs in different companies but we have some good news that BBO (Blue Bird Organization) is here today for some special students." Professor Kim announced to the whole classroom while making his way towards the chair and placed his file on the table in front. He is now looking at you all for seeing the reactions to his statement. All the students nodded and you just copied them.
Suddenly, the door slammed open. You were focused on Beomgyu's gossip updates on university so you didn't mind who has entered the room. Your professor greeted them.
"Hello! Mr.Kim", a professional voice spoke up. The voice has a youthful charm and all students were focusing on the new comer. Another male followed the previous person. They both with serious and bored expression shook hands with your professor.
"This is the class where you can interview the students." Your professor's words caught your attention and then you looked up to see two new persons standing beside him. Both are in professional business suites; one in blue set and the other in black. The one in blue standing near your professor looks so younger and people may mistake him as a school student and the other one who is leaning in front on a desk has some sharp features, the jawline is enough to cut your daily vegetables.
Your eyes went wide when they caught you staring at them. They both smirked at you. Weird. You look away towards beomgyu to see if he saw it or not but oh boy, he is dozing off beside you. You smacked his head to keep him awake.
"Ouch what?" You showed him the front of the class.
He quickly managed a proper composure in general to face them. When you again looked in front then you still saw them glancing at you while talking with your professor. Then they both glared at your form.
Now What did I do?
"Okay class! I will leave you with them. Have a nice interview!" Mr. Kim wished you and you all greeted him farewell. As soon as he left the class, the whole class becomes pin drop silent.
The two males looked at each other and gave you all a professional greetings and smile, "Hello We are from BBO recruitment team. My name is Choi Jongho, CEO of The Health Data dept." pointing to the male leaning on a desk, "and he is Jung Wooyoung, CEO of Online Investment dept."
The second male spoke up this time, "we will take your CVs today and then the rest of the processes will be depending on that evaluation." Every student was submitting their CV but when you went to submit, the younger one spoke up, you think as far his name is Jongho.
"Miss YIN, we would like to have a talk with you later." Later? Maybe because of your poor attendance or something wrong with your CV. Wait!
You haven't submitted the CV yet then how come he knows your name. This is a bit too creepy.
"Do you know me?" you asked him when standing exactly in front face to face with him. He raised his eyebrows on your tone. You quickly apologized and referred him with respect 'Sir'
The other man coming beside you and arranging all the papers they have gathered in total while placing them in a bag, *Well we can have this conversation later. Don't forget to come to the Room 13, we have asked for that from your school department." You nod on their words and went back to your seat.
——————————
You didn't have more than one class today and now that class is over and you are making your way towards the room, you have been told by the two males to meet them into. You are very tensed and sweating nervously as to why suddenly they had told you to meet them out of all the students in the class.
Its not like you are any extraordinary student but pretty good though than the average. Your contemplating thoughts kept you so busy that you didn't notice that you are literally standing at the footsteps of the door. Your hesitant hands balled up in a fist knocked the door with the knuckles. You then heard a faint 'Come in’.
Entering the room, your sense hits with fresh sandal aroma and you inhaled softly to let in the nice smell to calm down your senses. The aroma was as if arranged in advance for you to feel a bit less pressured. You kept your head lowered in case you mistakenly disrespect them again in some other way.
"Look up Y/N." This is a new voice rather deep, you haven't heard it. Looking up abruptly, you are met with a shocking surprise to see three other males similarly in suit sitting around a center table staring at you. The one spoke right now is really tall while in a sitting posture with a well-built physique and sharp small eyes making him more attractive.
"I'm sorry. sir."
"Y/N?" Another new voice spoke up this time, a bit smoother but has a dominative tone, "Don't you remember us?". You look at the man with confusion.
Know them. How? I know they are from the top company but that doesn't mean that they have to boost it on your face this way.
"I'm sorry but l'm not getting what you are saying sir.?
Wooyoung spoke up, "Y/N. This is me, your Woo. We used to be bestfriends back in middle school but then you moved to a different city and we lost contact." Eh? Middle school bestfriends? Since when am I having these?
"I don't remember it sir.”
"Don't need to call us sir. Call us by our name. My name is Kang Yeosang. The first one was Song Mingi and this one is Jung Yunho." He smiled at you and you returned a little smiling gesture and then looked towards jongho, who was having a mischievous look on his face.
"It's okay sir. No problem."
"When we have said something to do then do it that way for your betterment." Yunho shows his full dominating self towards you and staring with emotionless eyes.
Okay…. at this point you are literally scared to speak anything in front of them. You clasped your hands before you in nervousness. Yeosang noticed it and come near to your standing figure near the door.
Rest of their eyes following both of yours movements.
"It's okay YIN, you don't have to be afraid of us. We are ....friends?" He was assuring you to feel free around them and consider them as your friends but he himself was not sure of the fact.
"Friends?"
Jongho grinning like a little boy comes near you, "yes we were and we are still. Maybe you can't remember those days but we still adore those....memories."
"Oh okay." You are still not sure what to response them in return when you are trying hard to remember any of your childhood memories with them. If I was so close with them then how come I didn't think about them for once?
"Anyways Wooyoung and Jongho, we will go and have a talk with the principal and" Mingi turns towards you with a smile, "it was great to see you after so many years and you can't even imagine how much each one of us is overly excited to interact with you."
"It's same for me though as to get to know some old friends but sorry I still can't remember anything."
Yunho interjects, " you don't have to think hard on that. It really doesn't matter to recall past memories when we can create new ones." You smiled at him on his sweet words and he returned the gesture.
Yeosang was already halfway out of the room with Mingi when he suddenly spoke up, " YIN? Do you want to know your memories with us?"
Memories with them? Now what suspense movie shit is going on?
"Um. I really don't know but-"
He smiled at you and left the room. They don't know how much it irritates you when people don't let you to complete your sentence.
"You look so irritated." Yunho's voice startled you and scoot a bit away from his close proximity. He smirked and left the room.
You exhale a sigh with getting all these new information. Suddenly them coming to your university for a special project and then having a meeting with you personally only to let you know that these five new individuals who you haven't encountered ever in your life are claiming as your best friends and even you have so many memories that they adore.
But why can't you remember it?
"You look thoughtful?" Jongho spoke while taking all his belongings from the table. Wooyoung is busy fixing his look on a small mirror, brushing his thick black hairs back. You glanced there and shook your head sideways in reply.
"Let's go Jongho. We have to take our orders from the store on our way back home. "
"Should I leave?"
"Oh yes. Do you mind to give me your phone once?"
You hesitated and to which Wooyoung repeated his words in a serious tone, " Do you mind to give me your phone once?"
Jongho eyed Wooyoung but the latter is still extending his hand towards you. You waited for a few moments and then handed over your phone to him.
"Don't worry. It's just my phone is not working properly for poor network or something like that and I need a help for something and I know Jongho won't give me his phone." Jongho glared at the talkative man and you know this little joke calmed your busy mind for a while.
After typing few things with a keen focus for ten minutes, Wooyoung returned your phone. You looked at the screen and turn it off. You three exited the room and went towards the exit of the building.
———————————-
Beomgyu has already left with his other friends because they have their match to attend and you are least interested to go there with them when you know damn well how chaotic they can be together sometimes.
Your thoughts got interrupted when Wooyoung suddenly holds your hand halting your steps. You blinked at him to continue,
" You are not submitting your original CV for interview and may I know why?"
"How do you know?" You didn't expect that your casual drafted CV will matter to them as they will simply cancel your name.
"THAT'S not your concern. We are your friends and we will help you to get into this big company. So come with me tomorrow there and I will let you to meet the two bosses of the company."
"I'm going to the parking lot Wooyoung. You come after having talk with her." Wooyoung nodded on Jongho's words and turns back to you.
"I'm not having any particular ambition in life and don't know what to do with my life but still I have to look for a job. It generally sucks. I don't know why you are so persistent to make me join the company."
"We are friends. Friends should..... help each other."
You hearing the same reason for everything as they are your friends, you asked him again.
"So you are telling me.....we are friends?" You eyed the boy with a still confused face as why he is so much eager to help you and trying to convince you as his old friend.
"Yes cupcake! now please come with me for the interview to this office and to submit your resume. I am more than happy that they are looking for a new worker and apparently you are also searching for a job to start after this semester ends." The boy with so much of excitement and eagerness is waiting for your reply.
"Okay, but look I still can't remember you and still trusting you. So how come you think they would react to my plain resume for this big company?"
You are not sure of your capability for this company where so many highly qualified well-beings apply but still get rejected and this random boy claiming your bestfriend from old town is urging you to apply there.
'Why?'
You looked around the streets to take a final decision with a calm breath releasing, "I will apply but don't get high hopes of me getting into it. I am sure they are not going to take me in."
The boy in front of you smirked and put his hand firmly on your left cheek slightly brushing the lower lip for a blink," Oh trust me, they will love you to join their company."
"Huh?"
"I don't know how to give life advices but maybe they can consider you a path for your career and....... future and maybe ........ our friendships."
"Your words are so sketchy."
"Yes the way I am sketched perfectly as a sexy man."
You chuckled on his words. He winked at you and went away running towards the parking lot. You turned on your heels to go to the dorm and take off these information.
——————————
"Did she agree to join?" Setting himself comfortably on the passenger seat, Jongho asked turning towards the man on his side.
"Not really. She just agreed to come with me tomorrow but she is not willing to join because she has no hope for getting in."
"Did you said anything more?"
"No but I would like to tell her about-*
"Wooyoung! You know hyung said everything has a time to reveal them and we can't just say it reluctantly."
"But I was going to ask her about to go on a date."
Wooyoung laughed loudly and started the engine of the car. The most expensive car in the parking lot gained everyone's attention and everyone eyed it with jealousy and admiration until it went out of their eyesight.
"Hyung would have dealt with you for either ways."
Jongho grinned showing his gummy smile and Wooyoung groaned.
———————————
Reaching your front door of the dorm, you grinned happily to return back and getting inside, you groaned when you plopped yourself on the bed as you were really tired and overwhelmed.
——————————
The story begins in the next chapter. This chapter is just a so so type. Hehet.

Y/N's days at the bustling headquarters of Choi Yeonjun's enterprise were a blend of admiration and concealed affection. As the CEO's right hand and a friend since their sandbox days, she navigated her professional duties with a quiet grace, always marvelling at Yeonjun's charisma and leadership. Starting his venture at a mere nineteen, Yeonjun had grown it into a powerhouse, alongside a loyal crew that included his friends Soobin, Hueningkai, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Wooyoung, Felix, and ChanBin.
One particular morning, Y/N was arranging files in Yeonjun's spacious, glass-walled office when Beomgyu strolled in, a teasing glint in his eyes. "Morning, Y/N! How's our hardest-working assistant today?" he chimed, leaning against the doorframe.
Y/N offered a small smile, "Busy as always, Beomgyu. Yeonjun's schedule is packed."
Beomgyu's gaze followed Yeonjun, who was chatting animatedly with a group of female colleagues. The women were giggling at something he said. Y/N felt a familiar twist in her stomach, her gaze lingering a moment too long.
Catching the look, Beomgyu nudged her playfully. "Still pining over Mr. CEO, huh?"
She shot him a warning glance. "Keep it down, Beomgyu. And it's not like that."
"Oh, come on, Y/N. I see how you look at him. And how he looks at you," Beomgyu winked, but then his tone softened. "Why don't you tell him?"
Shaking her head, Y/N returned to her files. "It's not that simple. We have a professional relationship, and I can't risk that."
Beomgyu shrugged. "Suit yourself. But I think you're underestimating Yeonjun's feelings."
As the day progressed, Y/N found herself alone in the office with Yeonjun, who was reviewing a contract. The atmosphere was calm, comfortable, yet charged with an unspoken tension.
"Y/N, can you check these figures?" Yeonjun's voice broke the silence. She approached, leaning over the document.
Their shoulders brushed slightly, eliciting a silent, electric charge between them. Y/N's heart raced, but she focused on the numbers.
"These look accurate," she confirmed, her voice steady.
Yeonjun nodded, their eyes meeting briefly. "Thanks. I don't know what I'd do without you."
The moment lingered, an unspoken acknowledgment hanging in the air. But then, Yeonjun's phone buzzed, shattering the stillness. He glanced at it and sighed. "I have to take this. Work never ends."
In the days following, the teasing from Soobin, Taehyun, and Hueningkai became a regular occurrence, all thanks to Beomgyu's inability to keep a secret. Y/N, though embarrassed, took it in stride, her cheeks often flushing a delicate pink whenever Yeonjun was mentioned.
One afternoon, Y/N was diligently working at her desk when Taehyun and Hueningkai approached, grinning mischievously.
"Hey, Y/N, have you seen the way Yeonjun looks at you?" Taehyun teased, leaning against her desk.
Hueningkai joined in, "Yeah, it's like he's got hearts in his eyes!"
Rolling her eyes, Y/N tried to dismiss them. "You guys are imagining things. He's my boss, nothing more."
Just then, Soobin strolled up, a sly smile on his face. "Speaking of our dear boss, look over there."
They all turned to see Yeonjun in his office, his gaze fixed on Y/N. As he tried to take a sip of his tea, he was so lost in his observation that he completely missed his mouth, spilling tea down his shirt.
The group burst into laughter, trying to muffle their sounds as Yeonjun looked around, confused about what had happened.
"Classic Yeonjun," chuckled Beomgyu, who had just joined the group. "Can't even drink tea properly when Y/N's around."
Y/N felt a mix of amusement and embarrassment. "Guys, please, let's not make a big deal out of this."
Soobin, wiping a tear from laughing so hard, said, "Oh, we're not. It's Yeonjun making it a big deal."
The day continued with playful banter, and Y/N couldn't help but smile at the camaraderie. However, she couldn't shake off the feeling that Yeonjun's gaze lingered on her longer than necessary.
Later in the day, Yeonjun called Y/N into his office to discuss an upcoming meeting. As she entered, she noticed he had changed his shirt.
"Spilled some tea earlier?" Y/N asked innocently, trying to keep a straight face.
Yeonjun, slightly embarrassed, chuckled. "Yeah, I guess I need to work on my multitasking skills."
Their eyes met, and there was a brief moment of silent communication, a shared secret in their smiles. Y/N quickly shifted the topic to work, but the light-hearted moment stayed with her.
As they worked through the details of the meeting, Yeonjun's demeanor was professional, but there was a warmth in his voice that hadn't been there before. Y/N found herself more aware of his presence, the way he ran his fingers through his hair when concentrating, and the way his eyes sparkled when he smiled.
After finishing the work discussion, Yeonjun casually asked, "So, how do you deal with all the teasing from the guys? I hope they're not too much."
Y/N shrugged, "It's all in good fun, I guess. They're just being themselves."
Yeonjun nodded, a knowing look in his eyes. "They're good friends. We're lucky to have them around."
"Yeah, we are," Y/N agreed, feeling a sense of warmth at the acknowledgement of their shared history and friendship.
The office was buzzing with the usual hum of activity as Y/N busied herself with the printer, aligning papers and setting up the printing queue. Her focus was so intense that she barely noticed the approach of a suave-looking gentleman until he cleared his throat.
"Excuse me, is this where I can get some help with the printer?" he asked with a charming smile.
Y/N looked up, slightly startled. "Oh, yes. What do you need?"
As she assisted him, the man tried to strike up a conversation, leaning in slightly. "You know, I've never been good with machines, but I'm great at making connections with people. Especially with someone as helpful as you."
Unaware of his intentions, Y/N nodded, focusing on the printer. "Well, machines can be tricky. It's all about understanding how they work."
From their nearby desks, Felix and Wooyoung watched the interaction with growing amusement. Felix nudged Wooyoung, whispering, "Is this guy trying to flirt with Y/N?"
Wooyoung, trying to stifle a laugh, replied, "Yeah, and she's totally missing it. This is gold."
Beomgyu, overhearing their whispers, joined in the observation. "Oh, this is too good. Y/N's cluelessness is legendary."
As the man continued his attempts at flirtation, Y/N remained blissfully unaware, her mind on the task at hand. "If the paper jams, just open this tray here. It usually solves the problem."
The man, trying a different tactic, leaned closer. "You know, I believe in solving problems too, especially heart-related ones."
Y/N, finally looking up, responded with a puzzled expression. "Heart-related? Do you work in healthcare?"
Before the man could respond, Yeonjun walked into the area, papers in hand, ready to distribute assignments. He paused, noticing the small crowd around Y/N and the stranger's obvious flirting.
Beomgyu, watching Yeonjun's reaction, couldn't help but chuckle. "Looks like the tables have turned, boss."
Yeonjun, trying to appear nonchalant, asked, "What's going on here?"
Y/N, still oblivious to the man's intentions, cheerfully responded, "Oh, just helping with a printer issue."
The man, seizing the opportunity, extended his hand to Yeonjun. "I'm just thanking your wonderful employee here for her help. She's quite the expert."
Yeonjun, with a polite but tight smile, took his hand. "Glad to hear our team is helpful. If there's nothing else, Y/N has other tasks to attend to."
The man, getting the hint, thanked Y/N again and walked away. Felix and Wooyoung were now openly chuckling, enjoying the scene that had just unfolded.
As Yeonjun handed out the papers, Beomgyu leaned in and whispered, "Never thought I'd see the day when our fearless leader gets out-flirted."
Yeonjun shot him a look, but there was a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Focus on your work, Beomgyu."
Y/N, finally realizing what had just happened, turned a shade of red. "Was he... flirting with me?"
Felix, unable to contain himself, replied, "You're like a romance novel protagonist, oblivious to the world's affections."
The group shared a laugh, the tension easing. Yeonjun, joining in the laughter, added, "Let's get back to work, everyone. And maybe keep the flirting to a minimum?"
As they dispersed, Y/N couldn't help but smile at the camaraderie and light-heartedness of the moment. Yeonjun lingered a moment longer, sharing a knowing look with Y/N before returning to his office. The office of Choi Yeonjun's company had become a hub of not just business, but also light-hearted teasing and camaraderie. It seemed like every new colleague who joined the team couldn't help but be charmed by Y/N's beauty and grace. Her obliviousness to their advances became a source of amusement for the rest of the team.
"Did you see the new guy? He was practically tripping over his words talking to Y/N," chuckled Hueningkai, as he recounted the latest incident to Beomgyu and Taehyun in the break room.
Beomgyu, sipping his coffee, added, "And there she was, cluelessly explaining the company's filing system as if it's the most fascinating topic in the world."
Taehyun, leaning against the counter, smirked. "It's hilarious how she's completely unaware of the effect she has on people."
Yeonjun, passing by the break room, overheard the conversation. His expression flickered with a hint of annoyance. Despite his usual playful demeanor with the female staff, he knew it was nothing serious. However, seeing other men vie for Y/N's attention was a different story altogether.
Felix and Wooyoung, always keen on stirring things up, sometimes joined in the teasing. "Let's go ask Y/N for some 'help' with the printer again," Felix suggested with a mischievous grin.
Wooyoung nodded in agreement. "Yeah, let's see if we can get another priceless reaction from Yeonjun."
They all shared a laugh, knowing that at the end of the day, their teasing was just a part of the family-like atmosphere in the company. They all knew how smitten Yeonjun was with his childhood friend, though it remained an unspoken truth.
But the mood in the office shifted when the workload increased. Yeonjun, usually the epitome of calm and collected, appeared more stressed and tired, his desk piled high with papers and his eyes reflecting the weight of responsibility.
During these times, the team knew to tone down the joking. However, a new employee, unaware of the unspoken office dynamics, made the mistake of trying to flirt with Y/N at the wrong time.
As Y/N patiently explained a procedure to the new worker, Yeonjun's patience snapped. He marched over to the new guy after Y/N had left and handed him a stack of files. "Here, this should keep you busy. We value hard work over here," he said, a bit more sharply than usual.
Y/N, noticing the tension, approached Yeonjun later in his office. "Is everything okay? You seemed a bit... tense earlier."
Yeonjun sighed, running his hands through his hair. "It's just the workload. And I guess I'm not a fan of the new guy's approach to... teamwork."
Y/N smiled gently, understanding his underlying concern. "Why don't I take some of these files off your hands? It'll give you some breathing space."
Grateful for her offer, Yeonjun handed her a few documents. "Thanks, Y/N. I don't know what I'd do without you."
As they worked together, the stress seemed to melt away from Yeonjun's shoulders. The atmosphere returned to its usual light-heartedness, albeit a bit subdued. Y/N's day had stretched longer than usual, with a pile of reports that needed Yeonjun's approval before she could call it a night. Approaching his office, she knocked softly, but there was no response. Curious, she gently pushed open the door, only to find Yeonjun asleep at his desk, his face buried in his arms.
Moving quietly, she placed the paperwork on a clearer part of his cluttered desk. It was late, the office mostly empty, and she didn't have the heart to leave him like that, exhausted and slumped over his work.
She glanced at his computer screen and noticed that he hadn't much left to do. With a thoughtful frown, Y/N decided to finish the remaining work herself. It didn't take long, and soon she was sending off the final emails.
Now came the tricky part – waking him up. She gently shook his shoulder. "Yeonjun, wake up. It's late, and you need to get home."
He stirred, blinking slowly, still half in his sleep. "I need to finish my work..."
Y/N, with a soft smile, reassured him. "It's done. You finished it but fell asleep soon after. Let me drive you home."
He nodded, still groggy, as she helped him into his blazer and guided him out of the office.
The next morning, Yeonjun arrived at the office, his mind still foggy from the previous night. He was sure he had left work unfinished, but to his surprise, he received calls from partners expressing their satisfaction with the completed projects.
Realization dawned on him – Y/N must have finished the work while he slept. A wave of warmth and embarrassment washed over him, his cheeks turning a bright shade of red.
His day was a mix of gratitude and sheepish smiles, thinking about Y/N's kindness. His colleagues noticed his unusually bright demeanor.
Felix, always quick to notice changes, nudged Beomgyu and whispered, "Look at Yeonjun. He's grinning like he won the lottery."
Beomgyu, smirking, replied, "Maybe he finally realized how awesome Y/N is."
Hueningkai joined in, "Or maybe he's just happy he didn't have to finish that boring paperwork."
Yeonjun, overhearing their whispers, just shook his head with a laugh, his heart still doing flips at the thought of Y/N's thoughtful gesture.
Throughout the day, the playful teasing continued, with colleagues both male and female commenting on his good mood.
"Did you have a good dream last night, boss?" Taehyun asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Or did you finally find a magic solution to get through paperwork faster?" Soobin added, grinning.
Yeonjun, still with the same goofy grin, replied, "Let's just say I have a great team. Couldn't ask for better."
As the day progressed, the light-hearted atmosphere of the office was a constant reminder of the special bond they all shared. Y/N, unaware that Yeonjun knew she had completed his work, went about her day as usual, her presence bringing a sense of calm and joy to the office.
Yeonjun's appreciation for her grew even more, though he kept his feelings to himself, cherishing the bond they had built over the years. In the bustling café of the office building, Y/N, Soobin, and Beomgyu were enjoying a much-needed lunch break. Their conversation was light-hearted, filled with laughter and the occasional office gossip. Soobin, however, soon checked his watch and sighed.
"Looks like I've got to head back. Deadlines wait for no one," he said, standing up with a reluctant smile.
Left alone, Y/N and Beomgyu continued their meal. After a moment of silence, Beomgyu leaned forward, a curious glint in his eyes. "So, I saw you with Yeonjun last night. I was staying late for my project. He didn't look too good when you helped him out."
Y/N nodded, stirring her coffee. "Yeah, he was really exhausted. I couldn't just leave him there like that."
Beomgyu, seizing the opportunity, prodded further. "So... have you ever thought about telling Yeonjun how you feel? I mean, it's pretty clear you both have something for each other."
Y/N's face flushed slightly. "I don't know, Beomgyu. It's not that simple. We've known each other for so long, and I don't want to ruin what we have."
"But don't you think it's about time?" Beomgyu pressed. "You guys have been dancing around each other forever. It's like watching a drama but without the climax."
Y/N let out a small laugh, the idea both terrifying and tempting. "I guess it is kind of obvious, isn't it? But what if he doesn't feel the same way?"
"Come on, Y/N. Anyone with eyes can see Yeonjun's got a soft spot for you. And after what you did last night, I bet he's even more smitten," Beomgyu encouraged.
Y/N pondered for a moment, her heart racing at the thought. "Maybe... But I can't just confess out of the blue. I need the right moment, and I'm not even sure what I would say."
Beomgyu, with a mischievous smile, suggested, "How about something like, 'Yeonjun, I've liked you since we were kids, and seeing you asleep at your desk made my heart flutter'?"
Y/N playfully threw a napkin at him. "That's terrible advice, Beomgyu!"
They both laughed, the comfortable atmosphere easing Y/N's nerves. She appreciated Beomgyu's push, even if she wasn't quite ready to take the leap.
Just then, Yeonjun walked into the café, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Y/N and Beomgyu. He approached their table with a casual smile.
"Hey, you two. Mind if I join you for a bit?" he asked, pulling up a chair.
Beomgyu, with a knowing look, stood up. "Actually, I was just about to head back. You guys catch up."
As Beomgyu walked away, he winked at Y/N, leaving her with a mix of gratitude and nervousness.
As the afternoon sun streamed through the windows of the office, Yeonjun and Y/N found themselves in a comfortable conversation about the upcoming company event. Yeonjun, animated and enthusiastic, detailed his plans, while Y/N listened, her mind partly on the conversation and partly on the decision she had made. She was finally going to tell Yeonjun how she felt.
The rest of the day was a blur for Y/N. Her mind raced with thoughts of Yeonjun, their past, and the potential future. She was nervous but resolute. It was time to reveal her feelings.
Meanwhile, Yeonjun's day was a whirlwind of paperwork and meetings. His office was a storm of activity, his focus solely on the mountain of tasks before him. That focus, however, was unexpectedly interrupted when one of his female colleagues entered with some documents.
"Yeonjun, I've finished those reports you needed," she said, her tone lingering a bit too long on his name.
Yeonjun, grateful for her efficiency, smiled kindly. "Thanks, that's really helpful. I've been swamped all day."
However, the colleague didn't leave. She lingered, leaning against his desk, her demeanor shifting. "You know, Yeonjun, I've always admired how hard you work. It's... attractive."
Yeonjun, caught off guard, tried to maintain his professional demeanor. "Uh, thanks. I appreciate your hard work too. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a lot to get through."
But the colleague was persistent, moving closer, her intentions clear. "Maybe I can help you... relax?"
Yeonjun's eyes widened, and before he could react, she climbed onto his lap and leaned in to whisper something in his ear.
At that exact moment, Y/N, with a heavy heart and trembling hands, reached Yeonjun's office door. Taking a deep breath, she turned the knob and opened the door, her mind set on confessing her feelings.
The sight that greeted her stopped her in her tracks. Yeonjun, with the female colleague in a compromising position, his expression one of shock and discomfort. Y/N's heart plummeted, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment and hurt.
Yeonjun, noticing Y/N, quickly managed to push the woman away. "Y/N, this isn't what it looks like!"
But Y/N, her emotions in turmoil, stammered out an apology. "I... I'm sorry, I should have knocked. I didn't mean to..." Her voice broke as tears welled up in her eyes, and she hurriedly left, slamming the door behind her.
"Y/N, wait! Please!" Yeonjun called after her, but she was already gone.
He rushed out of his office, trying to find her, but she was nowhere to be seen.
In her distress, Y/N almost ran into Beomgyu on the stairs.
"Y/N, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Beomgyu asked, concern flooding his voice.
Y/N, tears streaming down her face, managed to say, "I don't need to confess to Yeonjun anymore," before rushing past him.
Beomgyu, filled with worry and anger, stormed back upstairs. He found Yeonjun in the hallway, looking frantic and confused.
"What the hell just happened?" Beomgyu demanded.
Yeonjun quickly explained, his words tumbling out. "She tried to... It wasn't what it looked like. I need to find Y/N!"
Fuming, Yeonjun turned to the female colleague who had caused the misunderstanding. "You're fired," he said sternly, his anger evident. He then hurried off in search of Y/N.
Beomgyu, his gaze cold, turned to the woman in Yeonjun's office. "Get dressed and leave," he said sharply, before following Yeonjun.
Meanwhile, Y/N had reached her car in the parking lot, her mind a whirlwind of hurt and confusion. She started the engine just as Yeonjun reached the car, knocking desperately on the passenger window.
"Y/N, please, you have to listen to me!" he pleaded.
But Y/N, unable to face him or the situation, drove off, leaving Yeonjun standing in the parking lot, his face a mixture of regret and despair. Y/N’s car rolled to a halt in a secluded parking area, the engine’s hum fading into silence. Her breaths came in heavy gasps, a prelude to the emotional deluge she was holding back. Then, like a dam bursting, her tears flowed freely, each one a testament to the heartbreak she felt. The image of Yeonjun with his colleague replayed relentlessly in her mind, each recollection a dagger to her heart.
Her phone vibrated insistently in her bag, the screen lighting up with Yeonjun’s name. She couldn’t bear to answer, the sight of his name only intensifying her anguish. With a trembling hand, she silenced the phone, letting it sink back into the depths of her bag.
Meanwhile, back at the office, Yeonjun’s world was unraveling. His hands shook as he dialed Y/N’s number again, only to be met with the same result - no answer. Pacing his office, his mind raced with thoughts of what he could have done differently.
“Y/N, please pick up,” he muttered under his breath, a mix of worry and frustration in his voice.
Beomgyu, witnessing his friend’s distress, quickly informed Soobin and Felix about the situation. “Guys, Y/N saw something… she got the wrong idea. We need to find her,” he explained, urgency in his tone.
Soobin’s face hardened with concern. “I’ll check her usual haunts - the small café she loves, the park near her place. She might be there.”
Felix, typing rapidly into his phone, added, “And I’ll send out a message in our group chat. Maybe someone’s seen her.”
As the search commenced, Yeonjun felt a sense of despair. “She didn’t even give me a chance to explain,” he said, more to himself than anyone else.
Beomgyu, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder, tried to offer some comfort. “She’s just upset right now, Yeonjun. We’ll find her, and you can explain then.”
Yeonjun ran a hand through his hair, his frustration palpable. “But it’s all a misunderstanding! That colleague… she’s been making advances, and I’ve been avoiding her. I never thought… I should have been more careful.”
“We know, Yeonjun. We’ll sort it out,” Beomgyu said, though he too felt a pang of uncertainty.
The office buzzed with low murmurs and concerned glances as the team sensed the tension. The usually vibrant atmosphere was now heavy with worry, the team members casting anxious looks at each other, all equally concerned for Y/N and Yeonjun. Y/N's hands hovered over the ignition, her resolve to drive away and find solace elsewhere crumbling as her car stubbornly refused to start. The engine sputtered and died, echoing her own feelings of helplessness. With a heavy sigh, she reached for her phone, which had been incessantly buzzing with messages and calls from her concerned colleagues.
After a moment of hesitation, she answered Felix’s call. His voice, laced with worry, came through the speaker. "Y/N, where are you? Everyone's worried sick."
Y/N's voice was a fragile whisper, her words punctuated by sniffles. "My car... it won't start. I'm at the small parking lot off Lexington Street."
"Stay right there, I'm coming to get you," Felix responded promptly, his tone reassuring.
After hanging up, Felix quickly relayed the information to Beomgyu. "I found her. Her car's broken down. I'm going to take her to her favorite café, let her have a change of scenery, and hopefully, calm down a bit."
Beomgyu, relieved yet still concerned, approached Yeonjun with the update. Yeonjun, his face a mask of worry, looked up as Beomgyu entered his office.
"Yeonjun, Felix found Y/N. He's taking her to the café she likes. Just... give her some time," Beomgyu advised.
Yeonjun ran a hand through his hair, the tension in his shoulders palpable. "Is she okay? Did she say anything about... about what happened?"
"She's shaken, Yeonjun. And still processing, I guess," Beomgyu said, trying to provide some comfort. "Let's just give her the space she needs right now."
Yeonjun nodded, though his expression remained troubled. "I just wish I could explain everything to her. Clear this mess up."
Back in the parking lot, Y/N waited, her thoughts a chaotic swirl. When Felix's car pulled up, she felt a mix of relief and apprehension. She got into the passenger seat, her eyes red and puffy from crying.
Felix glanced at her with a sympathetic expression. "Hey, let's get you to a better place, huh?"
The drive to the café was quiet, each lost in their own thoughts. Y/N gazed out the window, the world outside passing in a blur, mirroring the turmoil in her mind.
At the café, Felix ordered her favorite drink, hoping to offer some semblance of comfort. They found a secluded table, and Felix gently prodded, "Do you want to talk about it?"
Y/N shook her head, her voice barely above a whisper. "I just... I don't know what to think, Felix. I saw them, and it just... broke me."
Felix reached across the table, offering a comforting hand. "Y/N, I don't know the details, but Yeonjun is worried sick about you. He's not the kind of guy to... you know."
She sighed, a lone tear trailing down her cheek. "I know, but what I saw... How can I unsee that, Felix?"
"Maybe there's more to it? Misunderstandings can be... tricky," Felix suggested, hoping to ease her turmoil.
Y/N nodded, her mind still a tangled mess of emotions. "I just need time, Felix. Time to sort this out in my head."
The tension at the office was palpable the next day. Both Y/N and Yeonjun looked exhausted, the events of the previous day taking a toll on them. Y/N consciously avoided any direct interaction with Yeonjun, speaking to him only when absolutely necessary for work-related issues. The atmosphere between them was strained, a stark contrast to their usual easy camaraderie.
During lunch, Y/N decided to step out with Hueningkai and Beomgyu, seeking a change of scenery and perhaps a momentary escape from the office's suffocating atmosphere.
As they sat at a café, Hueningkai broached the subject cautiously. "Y/N, Yeonjun seems really upset about everything. He wants to talk to you."
Y/N stirred her drink absentmindedly, her gaze distant. "I know, but I just... I need space to think, to process everything."
Beomgyu, looking concerned, added, "He's really not himself, Y/N. I've never seen him like this. He's torn up about what you saw."
Y/N sighed, feeling a pang of guilt amidst her own turmoil. "I just don't know if I'm ready to face him yet."
Back at the office, Yeonjun had stayed in his office for lunch, the untouched food on his desk a testament to his lack of appetite. He hadn’t stepped out all day, immersing himself in work as a futile attempt to distract himself from his emotional turmoil. The office was unusually quiet, the team members treading on eggshells, sensing the tension between their CEO and his assistant.
Later in the afternoon, Y/N gathered the courage to face Yeonjun, carrying some work that needed his attention. She knocked softly on his office door before entering.
Upon entering, she was met with a sight that stopped her in her tracks. Yeonjun’s face showed traces of tears, his usual composed demeanor nowhere in sight. His desk was a chaotic array of papers and files. He hastily wiped his face, trying to regain some semblance of composure, but it was too late. Y/N had seen his vulnerability.
Y/N placed the documents on the corner of his desk, her voice barely a whisper. "Here's the report you asked for."
As she turned to leave, Yeonjun stood up abruptly, his chair scraping against the floor. He reached out, gently but firmly grabbing her wrist. "Y/N, please wait."
She turned to face him, her eyes meeting his. There was a raw emotion in his gaze, a silent plea for understanding.
"Y/N, I... I need you to know that what you saw... it wasn't what it seemed," Yeonjun said, his voice tinged with desperation.
Y/N's heart was racing, a mix of emotions swirling within her. "I... I want to believe you, Yeonjun, but it's hard."
Yeonjun stepped closer, his hold on her wrist loosening but not letting go. "I would never hurt you intentionally. You have to believe me. That... situation was not by my choice. I was trying to... to push her away."
Their eyes locked, and in that moment, a surge of emotions overcame them. Yeonjun leaned in, and impulsively, they shared a kiss. It was a kiss that spoke volumes, conveying the words they couldn't find, the feelings they couldn't express.
As they pulled apart, a stunned silence enveloped them. Yeonjun finally spoke, his voice soft. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I never wanted you to be hurt."
Y/N, still processing the kiss and Yeonjun's words, nodded slowly. "I... I need to think about this, Yeonjun."
She gently pulled away from his grasp and left the office, leaving Yeonjun standing there, a mix of hope and uncertainty on his face.
The day ended with a newfound complexity added to their relationship, a kiss that had broken barriers but also opened a floodgate of questions and emotions that both needed time to navigate. In the days following the unexpected kiss, the atmosphere in the office was thick with unspoken questions and subtle changes. Yeonjun and Y/N remained distant, their interactions limited and strictly professional. Yet, there were moments – fleeting glances, lingering looks – that hinted at the turmoil beneath the surface.
One day, during a team meeting, Soobin couldn’t help but notice the tension. As they all sat around the conference table, he nudged Beomgyu, whispering, “Have you noticed? Yeonjun and Y/N have been… different.”
Beomgyu, who had been observing them as well, nodded subtly. “Yeah, it’s like they’re on different planets, but their satellites are still locked on each other.”
Felix, overhearing their conversation, chimed in quietly, “It’s like watching a drama unfold. Do you think they’ll ever talk about what happened?”
Taehyun, who was usually more focused on work, added his observation. “They need to clear the air. It’s affecting the whole office vibe.”
Hueningkai, the youngest and often the most direct, suggested, “Someone should talk to them. Maybe help them sort things out.”
Wooyoung, who had been listening, smiled wryly. “And who’s going to play the cupid here? It’s a delicate situation.”
The conversation was cut short as Yeonjun began discussing the quarterly targets, but the underlying tension remained palpable.
After the meeting, Y/N found herself alone in the break room, lost in thought. Hueningkai walked in, a concerned look on his face. “Y/N, are you okay? You’ve seemed… off lately.”
Y/N forced a smile, not wanting to burden Hueningkai with her troubles. “I’m fine, just a lot on my mind, you know?”
Hueningkai, not entirely convinced, nodded. “If you ever need to talk, I’m here, okay?”
Y/N appreciated his offer, and as he left, she found herself replaying the kiss with Yeonjun in her mind. She longed for another kiss, not just for the thrill of it, but to confirm if Yeonjun’s feelings were genuine.
Later that day, Y/N was in her office when Beomgyu popped his head in. “Hey, Y/N, a bunch of us are going out for drinks after work. You should come.”
Y/N hesitated, then nodded. “Sure, why not. It might be good to get out.”
That evening, the team gathered at a local bar, the mood light and convivial. Laughter and chatter filled the air, a stark contrast to the tension at the office.
As the night progressed, Y/N found herself seated next to Yeonjun. Their conversation was cautious, yet there was an underlying current of something more. Yeonjun’s glances were more frequent, and Y/N could feel the pull between them.
At one point, Felix, slightly tipsy, leaned over to Y/N and whispered, “You know, Yeonjun hasn’t taken his eyes off you all night.”
Y/N felt a flutter in her chest, her mind racing. Was Felix right? Did Yeonjun still feel something for her?
As the group decided to call it a night, Y/N found herself walking out with Yeonjun. Their steps synchronized, a silent acknowledgment of the connection they shared.
Yeonjun finally broke the silence. “Y/N, about the other day… I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”
Y/N, her heart pounding, replied, “It’s okay, Yeonjun. It was just… unexpected.”
They reached the parking lot, and as they stood next to Yeonjun’s car, the air between them charged with unspoken words. Yeonjun hesitated, then said, “I… I don’t know what this is between us, but I can’t pretend it’s nothing.”
Y/N looked up at him, a mix of hope and uncertainty in her eyes. “I’ve been thinking about… that moment. I’m not sure what to make of it.”
Yeonjun’s gaze held hers, the intensity in his eyes undeniable. “I want to… to know if…”
Before he could finish, Y/N stepped closer, her decision made. She reached up, her hand gently cupping his cheek, and pulled him into a kiss. It was a kiss filled with questions and longing, a search for answers they both needed.
As they parted, both were breathless, the reality of their situation settling in. Yeonjun spoke softly, “We should talk about this… properly.”
Y/N nodded, her mind a whirlwind of emotions. “Yes, we should.”
In the days following their second kiss, the dynamic between Yeonjun and Y/N began to shift gradually but noticeably. Their interactions were no longer strained; instead, there was a newfound ease and warmth. Smiles were exchanged, and conversations flowed more freely. Yeonjun, often caught by his colleagues with a dreamy look in his eye, seemed rejuvenated, his usual energetic self returning.
One afternoon, Yeonjun and Y/N decided to have lunch together at the work café. It was a significant step forward, a chance to talk openly about everything that had happened.
As they sat down with their lunch, Yeonjun took a deep breath. "Y/N, about what you saw with my colleague... I want you to know she forced herself on me. I tried to push her away."
Y/N listened intently, her eyes softening. "I... I should have let you explain. I jumped to conclusions."
Yeonjun reached across the table, covering her hand with his. "It's okay. What matters is we're talking now. And there's something else I need to tell you. I've been in love with you for the longest time."
Y/N's heart fluttered at his confession. She had suspected but hearing it out loud was a different experience.
A few tables away, Beomgyu, Soobin, Felix, Wooyoung, Taehyun, and Hueningkai sat huddled together, trying their best to appear uninterested while sneakily observing the scene.
"Finally, he said it," whispered Taehyun, a smile playing on his lips.
"Shh, they'll hear us," Beomgyu hissed, his eyes not leaving Yeonjun and Y/N.
Back at their table, Y/N and Yeonjun were lost in each other's eyes. Slowly, as if drawn by an invisible force, they leaned in for a third kiss. This time, it was longer, deeper, a silent conversation of years of unspoken feelings.
As they pulled away, Y/N finally confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. "I love you too, Yeonjun. I'm sorry for misunderstanding the situation."
Yeonjun, his eyes shining with emotion, replied, "You don't need to apologize. I just want us to move forward from here." He then pulled her into another kiss, this time more passionately, his hands finding her waist as hers wrapped around the back of his neck.
At the other table, the group let out a collective sigh of relief.
"Finally," Wooyoung said, his tone one of contentment.
Felix chuckled. "About time, right?"
Hueningkai, grinning, added, "This is better than any drama."
Soobin, always the more thoughtful one, commented, "They really needed this. I'm happy for them."
Beomgyu, watching his friends, felt a sense of satisfaction. "Yeah, they've come a long way. They deserve this happiness."
As Yeonjun and Y/N parted from their kiss, they shared a smile, a silent acknowledgment of their mutual feelings and the journey ahead. It was a moment of new beginnings, of love finally expressed and accepted.
The lunch ended with Yeonjun and Y/N returning to their work, but now with a lightness in their steps, a newfound joy in their hearts. As the days passed since Yeonjun and Y/N officially became a couple, the office dynamics took a delightful turn. Yeonjun, previously the epitome of professionalism and restraint, had transformed into the most endearingly smitten CEO imaginable.
One particular morning, Yeonjun entered the office with a bounce in his step, a goofy grin plastered on his face. He made a beeline for Y/N's desk, barely acknowledging the chuckles and knowing looks from his team.
"Good morning, Y/N! Did you see the email I sent you about the team lunch?" Yeonjun asked, trying to sound casual but failing miserably.
Y/N, suppressing a smile, replied, "Yes, I saw it. But Yeonjun, you sent it at 6 am. Do you ever sleep?"
Yeonjun, rubbing the back of his neck, chuckled awkwardly. "Well, you know, early bird catches the worm."
Beomgyu, overhearing this exchange from his desk, leaned over to Soobin and whispered, "He's been here since 5:30 am, just waiting for Y/N to arrive."
Soobin shook his head, grinning. "He's got it bad. Remember when he used to be the last one in?"
Their banter was interrupted as Felix shouted across the room, "Hey, Yeonjun, trying to set a new record for the earliest work email?"
Yeonjun just laughed it off, his attention returning to Y/N. "Anyway, about the lunch. I was thinking we could go to that new Italian place. What do you think?"
Before Y/N could respond, Taehyun piped up from his corner, "Make sure it's a big table. We're all expecting to be invited to this 'team lunch.'"
Yeonjun, realizing his transparent attempt to create a lunch date had been foiled, joined in the laughter. "Of course, everyone's invited!"
Throughout the day, Yeonjun found various excuses to be near Y/N. From 'accidentally' needing the same file she was using to asking her opinion on matters he usually handled himself, his ploys were transparent but charming.
At one point, Yeonjun approached Y/N's desk under the guise of discussing a project. Leaning in, he whispered, "I can't wait for lunch. I've been thinking about it all morning."
Y/N, amused by his not-so-subtle affections, replied in a hushed tone, "Focus on your work, Mr. CEO. We can't have you distracted all day."
Their playful banter didn't go unnoticed. Hueningkai, walking by, commented with a smirk, "Get a room, you two."
Lunchtime arrived, and the team headed to the Italian restaurant. As they settled at a large table, the mood was light and cheerful. The team teased Yeonjun and Y/N, but it was clear they all enjoyed the positive energy the couple brought into the office.
"So, Yeonjun, I bet you're planning to 'accidentally' share a spaghetti strand with Y/N, Lady and the Tramp style?" Wooyoung joked, wiggling his eyebrows.
Yeonjun, embracing the joke, replied, "You know, that's not a bad idea. What do you say, Y/N?"
Y/N laughed, shaking her head. "Let's stick to our plates, shall we?"
The lunch was filled with laughter and friendly ribbing, and Yeonjun and Y/N were at the heart of it. They were like magnets, always drifting back towards each other, sharing smiles and quiet conversations amidst the group's chatter.
As they returned to the office, the mood was lighter than it had been in months. The incident with the female colleague felt like a distant memory, a brief cloud in an otherwise clear sky.
The rest of the afternoon passed quickly, with Yeonjun sneaking in a quick kiss with Y/N when he thought no one was looking. But of course, his team noticed.
"Did you see that?" Beomgyu said, nudging Felix. "Our CEO's gone rogue."
Felix chuckled. "Yeah, he's completely whipped. It's actually kind of sweet."
As the day wound down, Yeonjun and Y/N left the office together, their hands intertwined. Their relationship had not only brought them happiness but had also infused the entire office with a sense of camaraderie and joy.
Yeonjun turned to Y/N as they walked out, a contented smile on his face. "I never knew work could be this fun."
Y/N squeezed his hand. "That's because you're not just working now. You're living."
They shared a laugh, stepping out into the evening, ready to embrace whatever the future held for them. The office had become more than a workplace; it was a place where love, laughter, and happiness had found a way to coexist beautifully.

FILE_01 : a thing for strays
gotham city.
[beomgyu & yn are 15, soobin is 16, yeonjun is 17.]
The incessant, distinct cry of meowing drew 15-year-old Choi Beomgyu from his warm covers and his state of sleep. (Technically speaking, it was only partial unconsciousness, but this wasn't about his insomnia.) He had long accepted the fact that good night's rests were rare in this world and with his condition, so there was less irritation and more plain curiosity in his mind. In other words, he cared very much about how a cat could meow so loud over the city’s infinite soundtrack more than sleeping.
He dragged his palms over his eyes, scrubbing away the stinging in his irises due to sleep deprivation. The dull buzz at the back of his head kept him awake constantly anyway. As he made his way toward the window, his eyelids fluttered like the shutter of a camera lens, actively adjusting to the warm glow of a light radiating from the apartment across the alleyway from him and streaming into the darkness of his.
Beomgyu peered out of the window, hand idly scratching his chest while the other leaned on the sill. It wasn't completely uncommon to see at least one person wandering the streets late at night in Gotham City. No sane person would be out, but whoever said Gotham residents were sane in the first place?
In the alleyway below, he could make out a shadowy form crouched by a dingy cardboard box at the foot of a dumpster. You knelt there before the box; Beomgyu quietly lifted his window open to hear what you were saying. You didn't look much older than he was, and you were bundled in a straight trench coat that left much to the imagination. A pair of slippers peeked out from beneath you, however, where you braced yourself against the grainy gravel ground.
"I'm not gonna — yah! I'm trying to help you, you st—" You huffed, hands raised in the air. "Sorry, that's mean of me to say."
A small laugh fell from his lips.
Your head perked up at the sound, and he mentally praised your alertness. That was a critical skill to wield here. Your head whipped around, eyes searching the alleyway, before meeting his eyes. You narrowed your own. "Have you just been there watching me this whole time?"
"Depends; how long have you been out here?" He drawled back, his upper body leaning out of the window and his elbows bracing against the window sill.
You rolled your eyes and turned back to the cat in the box. "Creep."
"Weirdo."
That got you whirling around for him again, and this time, he stared at the way the amber streetlight posted just at the mouth of the alleyway illuminated your features and the feisty gleam in your eyes. There was a feline likeness to your eyes and tendencies—your posture and crouch stance, narrow-eyed cynicism, alertness and awareness. "The fuck d'you just call me?"
He shrugged with a smirk pulling at the corners of his lips. "You called me a creep first."
You scoffed at his teasing. This was much more fun than tossing and turning for sleep that would never come.
"Are you not afraid of catching something from the animals out here?" Beomgyu queried, now leaning his chin in the palm of his hand. He was Juliet leaning out of her window to lament her dramatic soliloquy, unaware of Romeo's presence below. His father would scoff at such a romanticized view of life, but it was all said with an undertone of cynicism anyway. "I mean, have you seen what crawls out of the gutters? Ngh," he shivered.
There was something he couldn't place in your features as you suddenly scooped the mewling cat into your arms and stood facing him. Beomgyu watched in awe as the cat began to purr and nuzzle into the warmth that your body provided. Your hand gently smoothed over its fur, even if the feline was matted with dirt and grime.
"I have a thing for strays," you said simply. On the surface, it was a quote of defiance, but beneath it all, he sensed there was something else to it.
Beomgyu's heart stuttered when you had said that and looked him right in the eyes.
As if on cue, a pair of black and white cats padded their way out of the shadows toward you. From where, he had no clue. But they circled your legs, rubbing against your sweatpants adoringly. He guessed these were yours, but he shouldn't assume simply based on their cleaner and maintained coats. (Sarcasm—that was sarcasm. He was definitely going to guess based on that.)
The apartment across the alleyway opened up at ground level and more of its warm light streamed out into the alley. A woman stood at the doorway with one hand on her cocked hip. "Yn, you know we can't…"
"Oh, but mama," you pleaded. You lifted the purring mass of fur in your arms as if it would plead your case for you. It was kind of cute, really. "Look at her."
The woman's eyes twinkled. "Ah, all right. Let me see if we have more—" Her words died upon her tongue when she caught Beomgyu's frame at his window.
He marked the spark of recognition in her eyes. He wasn't completely surprised.
"You're—You're one of the Choi kids, aren't you?" She asked. Perhaps it was less of a question than a statement, because Beomgyu had no doubt she didn't need confirmation. He and his brothers' and his father's faces had been plastered all over the society columns since birth. "Beomgyu, isn't it?"
"Yes ma'am," he said. "Pleased to make your acquaintance."
Her head tilted to the side, and he saw the curiosity in your features, as well. It seemed you hadn't recognized him though. "You're quite polite for…" She shook her head, dismissing her previous thought. "What're you doing on this side of the city?"
Ah, and that was yet another mystery, wasn't it? Besides the mystery of his entire family, it was the fact that the Choi kids, despite hardly being adult aged, did not live at Choi Manor all of the time. Eventually, Beomgyu figured they'd all amass there once more and dwell there more frequently, but for now, he liked his dingy, crumby, little apartment in this specific Gotham gutter. Folks usually didn't expect the child of a multimillionaire to pick this dump to have his own apartment in.
But that was the strategy, wasn't it? Not only to prove people's judgements wrong, but to also let himself live and breathe and learn from his own mistakes.
Oh, and learn to deal with his insomnia on his own. So far, the only solutions he'd found were copious doses of melatonin or just caffeine. But even those things were hit or miss.
"Got kicked out," he joked.
And then he regretted it immediately afterward when he realized how real that felt. It was sticky and metallic in his mouth, like blood, and it felt too real.
You and your mother were surprisingly sympathetic and neither of you made any brash comments concerning his status, his money, his family and being "kicked out." He expected something like "spoiled brat got an apartment to himself when he got kicked out of daddy's mansion," but nothing of the sort came forth.
I have a thing for strays, your words echoed in his mind.
The doorway to your apartment seemed to open just a little wider. "How about you come over for a little hot chocolate?"
Despite it being the beginning of summer, hot chocolate sounded nice. (Hot chocolate and company sounded nice.)
Beomgyu's eyes subtly flickered over to you, expecting some kind of catty objection, but even you stayed quiet, your eyes peering up at him. Waiting. I have a thing for strays.
"Okay," he swallowed. "I couldn't sleep anyway."

[3 years later.]
"You're a little young, don't you think?"
Nineteen-year old-Choi Soobin's head perked up at the question posed toward the current interviewee. Your name was Ln Yn, according to the manilla file folder of your records, application, and supplementary materials—all of which were quite good for someone of your age. When you presented yourself before the panel of interviewers for the opening of a job here at Choi Enterprises, you had done so with perfect posture and a professional vocabulary. You acted a lot older than your age, which was why Soobin thought that question was so goddamn absurd.
You didn't even fidget, all to your credit. You didn't shrink once under the stares of the interview panel, plus Soobin. He was just there to observe and learn, but he was given permission beforehand to step in if he felt any desire to. "Pardon?"
The man who had posed the question was one of Soobin's least favorite people here. Along with a balding head, he had a balding personality. Balding of what? Balding of humanity. He elaborated, "You've only just graduated from high school, you have yet to even begin a college degree. Do you not believe that you could learn and experience a little more?"
You cleared your throat. "With all due respect, sir, the hiring page said that this was an entry level job."
Yeah, Soobin thought to himself, that's what they always say. You must have been surprised by the extensive hiring process for said "entry level job." He really needed to have a talk with the people in Hiring and Recruitment; he picked up the pen tucked behind his ear to note it down in his little notebook to remind himself later.
"And yet, we also prefaced the description with a college degree requirement," added another member. Soobin begrudgingly admitted that that was true.
"I don't believe a college degree is particularly necessary for secretarial work, especially when most of the duties will be taught to me on site."
That is also true, he thought. Professional, calm… blank. You'd fit in great here.
"It would be difficult for partners and businesses to take a girl like you seriously—"
Soobin leaned forward and sent a look down toward the idiot who decided to open his mouth again. He sounded like he had a stick up his ass; Soobin wouldn't be surprised if he did. His posture said otherwise, but his attitude? Jesus fucking Christ. He cut in, "Excuse me."
As his father had told him time and time again: Sometimes you have to do things yourself.
The room shifted its attention to him. He poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue, his hand raised slightly with his pen, gesturing vaguely. "Your age is not really the main concern, Miss Ln. Not for me, at least." Your eyes had narrowed slightly on him, and he straightened in his chair. "The concern is that, while your résumé and references are good, your experience is lacking. This would be your first corporate job and we're looking for someone who could reliably carry out what we have outlined their duties to be."
That was how it should have been worded. That was how his father would have worded it.
"Then based off my references, Mr. Choi, would it not be safe to say that I am a reliable person?" It was definitely safe to say that you knew your way around words and requirements. There was a defiance about you that he couldn't deny, something rare that prodded at the back of his mind. It told him that if he didn't snatch you up now, someone else would.
When the interview ended, Soobin tucked the pen behind his ear once more. It was customary for interviewers to wait until the interviewee had left the room before they could leave, as well. They would think over their notes tonight before coming to a decision on all of the candidates tomorrow morning.
That feeling pricked at the back of Soobin's mind as he stood from his seat and hustled over to the elevator. He went down to the lobby, where he spotted you just pushing out the main glass doors.
"Miss Ln!"
Your head perked up at the sound of your name being shouted over the hustle and bustle of the Gotham City streets. Strands of your hair, windswept under the forever-overcast sky, blew across your face and you reached up to brush them out of your eyesight as you marked the young Choi heir making his way over to you. He was tall—perhaps around six foot or taller—with a crisp suit and that blue ballpoint pen behind one ear. The dark circles rimming his dark eyes were charming like his black bangs swept up by the breeze.
You didn't know what to say to him, really, but here you were—stopping and awaiting his thoughts. Soobin was grateful you did. There was something irking him about you, something he couldn't put his finger on. Anyone else would have stopped him, begged him for the position. He was younger, impressionable, a Choi.
You waited.
"I just wanted to say," he said, nodding, "good luck." He choked out the words, not because they tasted bitter on his tongue, but because he hadn't even known why he had chased you down in the first place.
Your eyes glanced at him up and down, but you were nodding back at him. You suddenly looked so uncomfortable in that formal wear. "Thank you."
Soobin heard the distant cries of his name from down the street—aw fuck. Just as he ducked back into the building, you had disappeared into the crowd. He hoped he might see you again.

[1 year later.]
"H-he has a young woman in ther—"
"Sick," twenty-one-year-old Choi Yeonjun said, patting the man on the head. The bank teller quivered like a leaf in the wind in the presence of Gotham's Red Hood. "Thanks, man."
As Yeonjun stepped over the fallen bodies of his victims—they didn't even deserve the label of "victim" when they had been the ones robbing this joint—he replaced the cartridge of his pistols. They were twins, pearl handles with just a touch of gold that he loved to twirl around in his hands. His father always rolled his old man eyes when he showboated, but Yeonjun never thought of it as showboating, rather an art. There were moments where he preferred the heft and damage of an AK-47, but his babies were always there for him, too.
He adjusted the crimson mask seated securely over his entire face; the metal was warm with his breathing, but he had gotten used to the suffocating feeling.
His old man would murder him if his face was seen while he was "serving justice" or whatever.
It was a shame that this last dude had taken a hostage though. That meant traumatized victim, a much more careful shot needed, and a whole lot of—
"Fuck you!"
He stopped clean at the threshold of the main vault at the back of the Gotham Bank (yes, the so-called "joint") as he watched the young woman in question, you, twist your captor's arm behind his back and pin him to the ground beneath the sole of your three-inch heel. He had gone red in the face, him and his bald ass head.
What a view. Yeonjun whistled lowly before he could stop himself.
Both heads looked up to watch him walk in. He caught the way your shoulders tensed at the sight of him, and he opened three of his fingers in each hand and showed his palms like his own way of raising his hands. "Hey, darlin', we're on the same side."
Your hair fell in disarray around your head and face, and your mascara had smudged around your eyes, but it didn't discount the sharp narrowing of them. "What took you so long? Aren't you supposed to be the hero or something?"
"Okay, first of all, I'm not a hero—" he blinked and sent a bullet through the robber's upper thigh. You shrieked, leaping away from him and Yeonjun, who suspected that you now thought of him as a maniac. Good. "—I'm just the dude who's trying to serve justice or something."
Yeonjun holstered his two baby pistols into the holsters on either side of his belt. "And second, that was—"
The sharp cry of sirens pierced the air, and he could hear the caws of incoming cops and their thundering footsteps heading right toward his and your location. Yeonjun swore under his breath, his instincts kicking in.
"Well, that's my cue to leave." He whirled on his heel and saluted you. "See ya!"
He ducked into the shadows of the hallway just outside the vault, and waited for the police to run past him with their blaring walkie talkies. They would find you in the carnage, no gun in sight, but with a wounded bad guy at your feet and a bullet hole in his thigh.
Yeonjun's head thumped back against the wall; he bit his lip beneath the mask. Fuck it, you were gonna be fine.
He had thought that, and yet, here he now sat, lounging in the passenger seat of your car in the alleyway by the bank, biding his time. His mask and dark brown leather jacket laid discarded at his booted feet, his aching arms given breathing room through his white muscle tee. He stretched out the kinks in his neck, hand running through his damp, black hair.
He was waiting.
Literally waited an hour and a half. Or maybe it was just half an hour. Sue him, he was hungry.
Finally, you rounded the corner to the symphony of your car unlocking. It gave a delightfully loud chirp and it knocked the drowsiness right out of his brain. Thank god there was still some light out or else you might have screamed. Instead, you stopped right outside your car, in front of the windshield with your eyes wide. (Actually, you didn't feel like the "scream in fright" type. It was more like "inhale sharply.")
Yeonjun didn't know what he was doing, to be honest. Then again, he never knew what he was doing. He smiled lazily at you and gave a small wave.
You must have had some kind of death wish, because you approached the car with him still in it, and he hadn't even introduced himself yet. Or maybe, he didn't have to introduce himself.
Your eyes narrowed again for the second time he had seen you. Was that your tell? Your thing?
Carefully, you tugged the driver's door open, but remained behind it and did not get in with him. Smart girl. "What the hell do you want and how the fuck did you get in here?"
"You kiss your mama with that mouth, darlin’?" He teased before he could stop himself. What could he say? He was a "shoot first, ask questions later" type of guy. His father hated that about him.
"Why are you in my car?"
He shook his head and let out a noise akin to feigned exasperation. "Just tryin' to make sure they didn't give you shit."
"I didn't see you in the bank, Choi Yeonjun."
Bingo. He smiled. "I like to be noticed when I wanna be noticed."
Your head cocked to the side. "I guess I believe you." You gestured to him vaguely with a lazy hand. "D'you mind?"
He sat up in the passenger seat and gestured his hand back toward you and the driver's seat. Maybe if his smile had widened, your eye would have twitched. There was something so amusing about him gradually frustrating you. "No, not at all."
Your pretty eyes rolled; he laughed.
"Okay, okay. Got the message." He briefly raised his hands in mock surrender, then leaned down to collect his red mask in the fabric of his brown leather jacket. He hadn't even bothered to remove or hide his pearl-handled pistols from his side holsters as he removed himself from your car.
A smirk flickered to his lips—out of your sight, of course—when he heard you sputter, "Wait—"
"Later, darlin'!" And then he was gone, out of your sight, as if he had been only a shadow from your memory.
You wondered if this day could get even weirder or even worse than it already was.
Exhaustion coursed through your veins as you slipped into the driver's seat and pulled out onto the main street. First, it was the strange email you'd received about a problem with your bank account. Then, it was whatever that interaction was. Choi Yeonjun as the Red Hood? Or perhaps only covering for one of the city’s resident vigilantes? But then, for what reason? If not for all of the trouble, you would have been home already; your joints loosened at the thought of coming home to your mom, pets, and something warm for dinner.
Brain muddied like a Gotham gutter during the wet season, the last thing that you wanted to worry about right now was how a Choi heir was connected to a vigilante.
When you arrived on your street, you pulled into the alley beside your complex and pushed back out into the grainy, Gotham evening.
Your head cocked to the side at the sound of loud meowing. As you approached the door, you could hear scratching from the other side.
Strange. Your cats usually knew to not scratch the doors anymore, and why wasn't your mom getting them to stop?
With a reprimand on your lips, you pushed your way in. “Guys, who is…”
A scream was left caught in your throat.
You felt yourself stumble forward into your home, the floorboards patterned in bloody paw prints, multicolored fur swarming your legs and meowing at you in distress.
Out—had they been trying to get out?
“Mom?” Your voice sounded strangled. “Mama?”
Bile crawled up your throat and your palm slammed against the side wall to keep yourself upright. You couldn’t get your eyes off of your mother’s taut and ashen skin, lifeless eyes staring up at the ceiling, a bullet hole through her temple. Blood seeped into the floorboards to stain the wood beneath her limp body, and you were choking, hacking at the metal filling up your lungs.
You stumbled toward her body and blood oozed into the material of your pants as you knelt by her body to feel for her pulse.
Dead. Deaddeaddeaddead.
Your hands stained with your mother’s crimson life force stained your hands and trembled as you searched your body for your phone. You—what were—what was the number? Who did this? This couldn’t be real.
Blood rushed into your ears; you couldn’t hear the sirens, couldn’t hear the voice on the other end of the phone.
Your mind had gone blank, mouth dry, and you sat down on the ground next to your mother’s body, your tears slipping down the slopes of your cheeks to land on her own face.
Dead, how could she be dead? How was this real?
A mass of fur appeared in the corners of your vision and you followed their gaze back toward the front door. And for a chilling moment, you were stone-cold sober. There was a note staked into the doorframe: A Debt Repaid.

# . . . 𓂅 warnings. ceo!beomgyu x exec assistant!reader, fem!reader, hard dom gyu, rich asshole beomgyu lol, degradation, bits of dubcon, tit sucking, possessiveness and kind of yandere-ish
Tumblr media
“Why exactly were you cozied up with Taehyun?” Feeling the world come to a screeching halt, your eyes immediately widen. How the fuck did Beomgyu know about you and Mr. Kang?
You feel his cold finger trail down your neck, circling around a specific spot and you shiver, knowing he’s doing that thing again. Tracing the hickey’s hes given you. “He offered you a deal didn’t he? And you were considering it, weren’t you?”
You bite your tongue, not answering because he was right and he knew he was. Your body jolts when you feel the impact of his hand on your ass again—striking it especially hard this time. You can’t keep in the burning tears from falling now, your mascara running as you squeeze your eyes shut at the stinging pain.
God, this was humiliating. You’ve always kept your composure, and yet now you couldn’t even go back to the event party when your snots running down with your hair sticking out from all sorts of directions.
“In exchange for what? This pussy?” he darkly laughs at his own jab, and to make even more of a point you feel the pad of his finger grazing your clit, slow and purposefully making you stupidly crave more, god its so cruel. And yet you still tighten around his dick like a depraved sex addict.
He leans in to the shell of your ear, feeling the smirk on his lips as he cages you even more with his chest on your bare back. “Doesn’t matter. You’re mine.”
You dig your nails into the palm of your fingers, getting even more pissed off by the minute.
“I’m not yours.” you spit, “I’m not fucking—oh..” you breathe out when his finger roughly fastens against your clit, having you lightheaded.
“Keep your mouth shut.” he growls, finally feeling his resolve break.
You’re not backing down, you can’t, not when he truly believes he owns you. “I’m not yours Beomgyu, get it through your fucking skull.”
He snaps, roughly turning you around to face him, having your bare back on the cold glass, his speed still unrelenting with not a single hiccup, shoving his thumb in your mouth to shut you up, pressing hard on your tongue. His eyes swim with dark, chilling anger. “Address me properly fucking slut.”
The rip of your top is loud and humiliating, his hands immediately going to grope your breasts, leaning in to wrap his lips around your hardened nipple when you violently shake your head.
Your breath hitches in your throat when he sucks and grazes his teeth against the bud, fucking psychopath. The pain you feel throughout your body is immeasurable, but it pathetically bleeds into the pleasure. The way he gives it to you is addicting: fast and mean. He’s feeding you his fingers again, having you moan and mewl pathetically around the digit.
He goes to your other nipples, wetting it with his spit the more eagerly he sucks. “This pussy’s mine, your body’s mine, these tits are mine, you belong to me.”
And like he was intent on proving his point, you feel his dick twitch, squelching as he continues fucking you even when he’s filling you up with his semen, suffocating amount gushing in your cunt.

What About Us?|| C.Beomgyu ||Special Chapter
Tumblr media
Summary - Here you are, pregnant with Beomgyu’s child as the two of you faced this journey with complete merriment. Leaving the dark past behind with the pressure coming from both of your parents and the forced marriage. Beomgyu looked forward to starting a family with you when he figured that he will take your hand once again. He was with you the whole time, your first check-up, and your first-morning sickness, he was understanding and you were so lucky to have him. But let’s just see how he handles your midnight cravings.
Pairing - Beomgyu x Reader
Word Counting - 2.2k
Warnings - suggestive content
Tumblr media
You abruptly woke up when a sudden kick came from your growing stomach, showing through the white blanket above it. You could only sigh and place a hand on top of your stomach, being in your second trimester means that your morning sickness will lessen and it was pretty enjoyable for you to experience due to the way Beomgyu would literally drop everything for you just to get you whatever you need. Being married to him again and having the wedding when you were just four months into your pregnancy was a challenge you faced with bliss. Smiling at the thought of having your husband by your side in this new journey that the two of you are walking on brought merriment in your eyes for them to sparkle, after everything that you’ve been through with him, surely nothing would stop the two of you now. Not even the press, the pressure from your family, and the public eye. For Beomgyu would always look at you and only you that he’s willing to protect you with all his might.
Well, maybe something will test this attachment you got going around the sleeping figure beside you when your stomach starts growling, craving to eat something… at 2 am in the morning.
“Beomgyu…” You softly called his name, peeking through the thick covers with your eyes scanning his perfectly sculpted face.
“Gyu..” You continued, but this time a lot louder causing him to stir for a quick blink of an eye.
Rolling your eyes when he still continued sleeping, biting down your lip, you carefully sat up and rested your back on the headboard behind you. Leaning a bit to the side to open the lamp that’s resting on your side.
“Baby, I’m hungry… wake up please” You leaned down to whisper it beside his ear and that’s when he finally fluttered his eyes open and was greeted with nothing but your lovely face that he never got tired of seeing first thing in the morning.
“Hmmm? Yeah? What do you want to eat?” He asked in a hoarse voice, his fluffy black hair hovering over his eyes as a result of him running his hand over them.
“Chocolate chip cookies, please” You smiled.
Your eyes watched him reach down for something besides the bed. It’s your basket of snacks and there, Beomgyu grabbed the pack of cookies that he bought when he went grocery shopping the other day and handed it to you. You only stared at the pack of cookies on your lap quietly with your face showing a hint of annoyance when he went back to closing his eyes and hugging the pillow next to him.
“I don’t want this!” You exclaimed, putting the cookies to the side and making room for yourself when you pushed the blankets away from you. Getting ready to stand up and drive yourself to the nearest bakery, as if there was even one open at this hour. You don’t want the store-bought cookies with their rock-solid cookies, and bland chips! You wanted the soft, chewy, and melting chocolate coming from the chips.
“I thought you said chocolate chip cookies?” Beomgyu finally spoke up, sitting up and grabbing a hold of your wrist to not let you leave this bed with him still in it. This is what he takes in every single day, your sudden mood swings or just things that you throw at him to understand alone if you decided to leave him, like what happened the other day when he just said “You look beautiful today, baby” when you were looking at yourself in front of the mirror. Taking a quick look at your slowly changing body, your growing stomach, breasts slowly aching day by day, and your tired eyes. Then you quickly glared at him, hands forming into a ball of fists inside your sweater paws that were in fact Beomgyu’s as he stood still like a rock when you fired him words.
“So? You only said that to me because I only started looking at myself in front of the mirror? Do you mean that I’m only beautiful today? Or that you’re just sorry because you had to carry me as an eyesore! Walking around the house like a penguin and asking for your help like I’m an old lady!! Remember it here Choi Beomgyu! You’re the one who made me like this!”
Blinking that memory away, Beomgyu quickly got off the covers to go to your side of the bed, kneeling down and going in between your thighs as he rested both hands on your knees. Looking up at you with a gentle gaze.
“What is it that you want again, baby? Chocolate chip cookies? Do you perhaps mean that you want me to bake some for you?”
He only got your nod as an answer which he only laughed at when he saw your pouty lips. And he couldn’t help to smile at the thought of you wanting to eat one of his baking once again after only trying them once when you got home from visiting Siu, he surprised you without any occasion on the date and showered you with love and affection. The highlight of that day was when you closed your eyes after taking the first bite because of its goodness melting inside your mouth. Completely lifting the stress and the heavy weight on your shoulders.
“Alright, give me a minute to get ready” Beomgyu announced, and with that, a smile quickly formed on your lips after hearing him say those words. The cold that you were fighting to not shiver due to the time quickly vanished when he pressed a chaste kiss on top of your head before standing up and heading towards the bathroom.
Your eyes stayed at the bathroom door for some time before feeling a huge pang in your heart that woke you up completely. You knew that he was still tired from work and him attending his meetings and taking calls from all over the world that wishes to speak with him about pursuing a deal, a partnership that may not be needed but maybe in the future, yes, and yet, he still makes time for you. You’re so lucky to have him as your friend, your lover, and your other half.
Wiping the stray tear that fell down your cheek which you only laughed at after realizing that you’re having another mood swing. A minute ago you were happy, annoyed and now sadness came knocking you down, but what tickled your brain is that you’re lucky that you’re feeling this. You’re lucky because he made you feel this way. You waited for something to happen in your shadows, and he came in and he was worth every minute.
Standing up, you carefully walked out of the bedroom to head downstairs to the kitchen, thinking of waiting for him there. You turned on all of the lights and sat yourself up on the barstool when you heard the faint sound of a door opening and closing from the floor above. Looking over your shoulder, there, you could’ve sworn the ends of Beomgyu’s lips twitched up to a smile when he caught you staring at him.
Walking towards the kitchen with him rolling up the sleeves of his white sweatshirt up to his elbows, Beomgyu quietly clapped his hands as a signal that he was ready to do his job of baking your cravings. You chuckled when you watched him put on your pink apron that resides beside the counter as he tied the ribbon behind him properly. His overall look warmed up your cheeks, from the way his white sweatshirt and grey sweatpants looked good on him, but the pink apron hugging him as a shield completely drifted the intimidating aura that he always wore.
“Are you just going to sit there and watch me the whole time?” He asked, his honey-like voice filled with sweetness brushing your ears. He’s asking this because he might get distracted from the way your eyes never left him from the moment he set foot inside the kitchen.
“Yep” You announced, popping the letter ‘p’ on the end with a smile when Beomgyu nodded his head in defeat.
Starting the task, you watched him make the dough in the full process, his veiny hands continued kneading the dough to form that chewy texture that you love. The white flour was all over the place, on top of the counter where he mixed the main ingredient earlier with the chocolate chips. No words were spoken but you know that the two of you enjoyed these types of moments, where no one dared to talk and just found peace and serenity whenever one of you is around.
Looking over your shoulder, your gaze shifted to the wall clock on the wall for the time to speak up that it’s already 3 am in the morning. A yawn escaped your mouth unnoticeably from your but it did go noticeable to Beomgyu who now placed the tray of cookies inside the oven.
“You can go back up and I’ll just give these to you once it’s finished. You don’t have to stay with me here… you need to rest” Your husband cooed with his eyebrows pinching together in worry when you yawned again. You’re pregnant and it’s not healthy for you and the baby to stay up this late and yet, here you are keeping him company.
“I’ll wait-”
“Y/n” Beomgyu spoke under a serious tone for you to only notice how cold it was this time around.
“I can! And I will” You deadpanned, challenging the man across from you who now had his arms crossed around his chest, making the veins on his arms show more visibly from the action which you only avoided looking in an instant.
“Choi Y/n”
“Urghhh!” You groaned in defeat before standing up from your seat. Stomping your way around the kitchen to go near him or so he thought. Beomgyu watched in shock when you grabbed the mitt and opened the oven, taking the tray and completely ignoring his command. The oven already dinged which means that the cookies are now ready.
You pouted when the tray got taken away by his large hands looming over yours. Lips in a straight line as he looked down at your eyes. “Hey? What did I say?”
“I’m taking the cookies with me and I’ll leave the half to you”
“I’m fine, god why are you so stubborn?” Beomgyu sighed, carefully setting the tray on top of the kitchen counter to hold you in place. Both of his hands were now on your arms as he leaned down to talk to you.
“I’m sorry” You replied, avoiding his eyes by turning your head away.
“Hey… you can have them. I made them for you” He softly continued, forcing you to look back at him from the way he used the pads of his thumb to move your chin.
“They’re for you and for little Choi, okay? And I’m just worried because you’ve been tired the whole day and that you haven’t gotten enough rest due to this pregnancy because it’s been keeping you up all night, baby. But, always remember that I’m here, okay? I love you” You bit down your lip, feeling high above the clouds as you circled around the moon and back just for this man.
“Now, smile for me, show me that sweet smile that I love so much” Beomgyu whispered, urging you to deliver him that smile when he squeezed your arms gently.
You paused for a moment before giving him what he wants, your smile that grew wider after seeing the way his eyes shined from your simple move. You closed your eyes when he leaned closer, capturing your lips with a passionate kiss that he adored with the way you replied back. You felt him smiling through the kiss when you tried to catch his lips when he leaned back and then leaned closer to you again, clearly playing with you. Beomgyu was the first one to break the kiss, not wanting to hurt your neck from looking up just to capture his swollen lips when you surprisingly bit them a second ago.
Poking the inside of his cheek, Beomgyu shook his head to stop the other thoughts to take over his mind and just watched you circle around the kitchen to take your seat once again. A cookie on hand and there you drifted your attention to finishing the whole tray with your husband's warm gaze watching you like you’re not his world but his whole universe.

thinking about gyu and his little house wife. they would talk and play around with each other while beomgyu sits down to eat after work. pretty wife who ties his ties and irons his button up and before he walks out the door he’s giving you a passionate kiss and thanking you and to wait for him to come home.
and husband gyu who has his face in his wife’s cunt the minute he’s back from work. hearing her whimpers and feeling her thighs clench around his head. pushing her legs up so he can get in deeper with his tongue causing you to squeak out a moan.
husband gyu who rewards you for being such a good wife and gives you his black card. telling you to ‘treat yourself’ as long as he can go too. but husband gyu who teases you at the store and ends up eating you out in the dressing room.
husband gyu is just insatiable 🤭
Tumblr media
this with ceo husband!gyu… I CANT DO TS NO MORE!!!!!!! anonie i swear please take up writing
husband!gyu basically offering to buy what you want whenever… i mean,,, you deserve it, right??
if he wants to come, he can, he’d just have to deal with being dragged around a bunch of stores.. and it’s definitely worth it when you try on some dresses, and after one point or another, he just can’t take it anymore.. flipping the short skirt of the dress and bending down in front of you.. just saying you out like always >_<
“gyu..” you whine out. “what if we ruin the dress..” pushing his head back, and he pulls away with a scoff. “you really don’t think i’ll buy this anyway…?”

the ceo's son ✧.* [ pt. 4 ]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⊹ pairing: choi soobin x f! reader
⊹ genre: strangers to friends to potential lovers (?)
⊹ warnings: mild swearing, and maybe some angst
⊹ wc: 4.2k
summary: you've been an intern at c company for roughly over four months now - directly under the ceo as his assistant. everything was going perfectly: you were saving up money to attend uni next year, and you knew that you were under the ceo's good graces to receive a great recommendation when the time came! in fact, he took a liking to you so much that he'd often joke that he wanted to set you up with his son.
at least ... you thought it was a joke.
soobin could not remember how he made it back to the dorm.
thinking back, he distinctly remembered being at the bus stop and watching your bus drive away, but then he blinked and was suddenly standing at his doorway.
in his defense, he could not stop thinking about you. the way your eyes shined. the way your smile brightened up a room. the way you laughed even when his jokes weren't remotely funny. your lips ... your lips on his.
on his cheek, anyway.
"where's your girlfriend, soobin~?"
soobin blinked back into reality, shooting his head up to meet eyes with the four smirking idiots that had been waiting around for him. he went from walking on cloud nine to instantaneously pissed off at the sight of them.
without having to think twice, soobin stomped over to the first idiot to blame and began throwing, albeit rather soft, punches at him.
"damn it, beomgyu! i said go to yeonjun's, not bring yeonjun!"
"AAHHHH!! why are you hitting me?!"
"because it's your fault!"
beomgyu knew that this statement was true, seeing as he was the one that invited everyone to hide and eavesdrop on you both shortly after their called ended, but he continued to yell and claim that it wasn't.
the other three watched and laughed, letting soobin attack beomgyu for about two minutes before finally making a move to separate them. they only briefly wished they hadn't after soobin smacked each of them on their heads as a result.
regardless of not being the ones to originally initiate it, they were still at fault for going along with the idea and encouraging him.
"i swear i'm going to kill all of you," soobin huffed, giving beomgyu one last punch.
"yeah, okay, you have fun with that," yeonjun waved him off, rolling his eyes. "now tell us about your girlfriend already, lover boy."
"i can't believe you never told us you had a girlfriend," taehyun stated, shaking his head in disbelief. he always did find it weird that soobin had been conveniently absent during lunch for the past month, but never did he think that a girl would be the reason behind it.
"she's not my girlfriend," soobin scoffed, in a more than obvious attempt to pretend that saying these words didn't secretly stab him in the chest.
of course he wished that you were his, but the last thing he wanted was for these idiots to know that.
soobin tried to use the brief second afterwards to make a break for his bedroom, hoping to avoid anymore interrogation, but beomgyu ensured to stand in his way to prevent him from doing so.
"come oonnn, hyung, you can tell us about her," kai tried to coo at the older boy, tugging at his sleeve in a way that soobin didn't find as cute compared to the way you did it.
soobin sighed, rolling his eyes. "my friend is great, that's all there is to it."
"uh-huh, right, so did you kiss her?" yeonjun asked teasingly, leaning forward on the sofa and wiggling his eyebrows.
soobin almost choked on the air he was breathing, unable to comprehend the question he was just asked. "what? no, i didn't kiss her! we're just friends!" his words were a little too quick and defensive for the others not to notice.
"he's right, they didn't kiss," taehyun then spoke up in soobin's defense, his eyes slightly narrowed as he studied his face.
"see? thank-"
"but he wanted to."
originally, soobin's plan was to deny taehyun's ridiculous assumption and just walk away from his friends. what occurred instead, though, was sputtering and a terrible excuse for casualty - mixed in with soobin's gaze landing absolutely anywhere except on their faces.
"wow, i can't even pretend to believe you if i wanted to," yeonjun laughed, looking at his friend with pity.
"alright, i know what you need," beomgyu stepped up, in a lame attempt to be cool that made the other four cringe, wrapping an arm around his red-faced friend's shoulders. "you need advice, and i know exactly-"
"you?!" yeonjun interrupted, scoffing dramatically loud. "when's the last time you ever successfully flirted with anyone?"
beomgyu opened his mouth to answer, but really just ended up mocking yeonjun in a way-too-deep impersonation voice. there was nothing he hated more than when yeonjun had to be right, so he opted for bullying him as his rebuttal.
"that's what i thought. now let me tell you what you need to do."
what followed up was about an hour of the most terrible, cliché advice from his oldest friend - followed by another hour and a half of added advice from both kai and beomgyu that were just as bad, if not even worse.
taehyun preferred to stay quiet, watching instead of speaking. judging silently with his eyes than with his words.
all of their 'advice' contradicted each other, which lead to time-wasting arguments amongst the three of them.
yeonjun preferred the 'play hard to get' tactic mixed in with purposeful jealousy to make you want him. kai insisted that bringing out the cute, shy charm was surely the best option to win you over. beomgyu thought both ideas were terrible and demanded that acting cool was soobin's best bet, giving an exaggerated 100% guarantee that he just needed to impress you to make you fall for him.
in any case, soobin knew better than to listen to anything they had to say. he knew death trap advice when he heard it, and that was all they were giving him. he was better off confessing to you himself tomorrow than listening to anything they told him for another minute.
except he was desperate.
so just this once, he didn't know better.
・❥・
the next morning, as you walked in with your usual coffees, you were warmly greeted by consistent questions about soobin from your lovely boss.
"i expect he walked you to your door, yes?" mr. choi had failed to ask casually, stealing multiple glances towards you as he sipped his drink and awaited a reply.
at first, you completely forgot that you and soobin had lied to his father about your true whereabouts. had it not been for the fact that his father blatanly asked 'did my son get you home safely?' when you first walked in, you surely would not have been able to get your story together.
"yes, of course. he really is a true gentleman," you smiled back, having to turn your face entirely when you felt your cheeks starting to warm up.
"of course! that's my boy!" mr. choi chuckled heartily, nudging mr. jeong playfully as he did. "didn't i tell you that you'd love him?"
you nodded again, faking a chuckle and avoiding the man's eyes.
if you had to think, much less talk, about soobin for one more second, you were surely going to implode.
ever since you got home last night, you were screaming at yourself for what you did. at one point, you even quite literally screamed into your pillow.
at first, you swore that you were a little excited about it. it made you giddy to think that you got to kiss the boy you were now desperately crushing on. on his cheek, anyway, but still. you even thought it was possibly your best chance of subtly trying to express your feelings towards him without having to outright say the words yourself.
unfortunately, as the time passed without a word from said boy, you began to realize that your stupid kiss was the worst thing you could have done.
despite waiting all night, as well as eagerly checking every minute in the morning, you did not receive any messages from soobin. seeing as he didn't even ask if you made it home safely - which he always asked you - it was your clear-cut sign that you made him uncomfortable.
now, with you having to act like you were completely fine at work in front of his father, the lump in your throat only grew more prominent.
"miss y/n, are you alright?"
you looked up to see mr. jeong was now standing beside you, his eyebrows turned up in genuine concern.
"yes- yes, of course!" you lied, putting on the best smile you could manage.
as expected, mr. jeong did not appear convinced. he brought up a gentle hand to pat your shoulder before gesturing for you to take a seat at his desk. "why don't you take it easy today? mr. choi and i have a meeting in about 10 minutes, so just sit back and rest until we get back, okay?"
you could only nod, afraid that speaking would suddenly cause you to start venting to the fully grown man.
taking the seat he offered, mr. jeong then set up open files on the computer to give off the impression that you were working on a project for him - that way not to risk mr. choi getting after you for not doing anything.
not that the man has ever actually scolded you, but, you know, just in case.
after the two men left for the meeting, leaving you alone in the office, all you could do was stare expectantly at the screen of your phone. with lunch coming up soon, you wondered if you'd eventually hear from him about whether or not you still had plans together.
what if he doesn't want to see you?
what if you made things weird?
screw it.
you couldn't just keep waiting around for him; you had to make the effort to reach out and make sure things were alright for yourself.
you: hey soobin
... no. no, you need to pretend like nothing's wrong.
you: hey binnie! are we still on for lunch today?
you were biting your lip, close to the point of drawing blood. your heart was practically beating out of your chest. the message was simple and straight to the point, but why were you so hesitant on pressing send?
closing your eyes, with your thumb hovering over the send button, you pressed quickly before locking your phone entirely. if you witnessed the blue send bubble for yourself, you were going to drive yourself absolutely crazy ... more so than you already were.
you stood from the desk, determined to distract yourself from waiting around, and began to organize the leftover files that you were working on yesterday.
yes, of course. absorbing yourself into work was your best option to forget about the reply you totally weren't waiting for from the boy you definitely were not going crazy over.
you let out a sigh, bonking your head onto the filing cabinet.
you needed help.
・❥・
"oh God, what do i say?"
"what do you say? what do you mean ' what do i say', you say nothing! you let it sit for 10 minutes and then respond saying you forgot."
soobin looked over at yeonjun with the most bewildered expression. he most definitely did not want to let your message sit for 10 minutes - it was bad enough that yeonjun took his phone overnight to keep him from messaging you at all.
it absolutely killed him not to know if you made it home safely. it absolutely killed him not to tell you good morning the second he woke up. it absolutely killed him that he couldn't say anything to you at all.
"but ...," soobin could only stare desperately at your message, his heart swelling at the way you so casually called him binnie. what he would give to hear it come from your lips again.
"no buts!" yeonjun interrupted him, now pulling the phone out of his lovesick friend's hands. "you have to let her linger. you need to make her want you."
soobin came to realize that, no matter what else happens, his biggest regret will now always be letting his friends help him. if he knew that 'playing hard to get' involved not speaking to you as often as he wanted, then he would have never agreed to listen to yeonjun at all.
"but i'm the one that wants her," soobin argued, attempting to reach for his phone from where yeonjun was trying to keep it out of his reach.
"fine, if you love being in the friendzone so much, then you can go ahead and do it yourself," yeonjun scoffed, tossing the phone back to his friend. "if you don't think i know what i'm doing, then i'd like to hear your ideas on how to win her over."
soobin hesitated. he looked down at his phone to see it had been 5 minutes since he opened your message, and his heart began to pound maniacally.
it's true, he didn't have a single idea on how to win you over. he didn't know what you liked in a guy. he didn't know if you really only saw him as a friend. what if yeonjun had the right idea? what if making himself less available to you ... made you 'want' him as more than just a friend?
sighing in defeat, soobin handed his phone back over to yeonjun, who had been smirking the entire time.
"fine. please help me."
・❥・
soobin: yikes, i forgot and made other plans
soobin: we can meet up after work if i'm not busy
your heart dropped.
not only did he forget ... but he made other plans?
was it just an excuse to avoid you? did you really mess things up so bad that now he didn't even want to see you anymore?
you: okay sure.. just lmk i guess
you weren't so eager to wait for his response now. knowing that you went and made things weird between the two of you, you could only imagine that his next message would be just another excuse to avoid you later.
shutting your phone off completely, you went back to the files you had originally been shuffling around and pretending to organize. seeing as you had nothing to look forward to now, you figured you'd focus back on the task at hand like normal.
by the time mr. choi and mr. jeong arrived back from whatever meeting they were in today, you had pretty much done all the work you needed to do ... for the entire day.
turns out you work a lot faster when you're trying to prevent yourself from spiraling into insanity.
"miss y/n, why don't you take the rest of the day for yourself?" mr. choi suddenly spoke through your thoughts, catching you off-guard.
"what? no, sir, i couldn't possibly-" you began, but the ceo lifted up a calm hand to silence you.
"you've done a terrific job for me. not only today, but ever since you've arrived. the least i can do is reward you with a break today," he insisted, smiling so gently.
your eyes glanced over to mr. jeong behind him, who was smiling just as sweetly. it was more than clear that they had to have spoken with each other while they were away, but it warmed your heart to see that they did very much care for your well-being.
smiling weakly, you bowed completely in genuine appreciation. "thank you both. i truly appreciate it."
"rest well, and promise to come back bright-eyed and ready to work tomorrow, alright?"
you let out a chuckle at mr. choi's words. "of course, sir!"
with that, as you walked out of his office for the day, you felt the heavy weight on your shoulders lighten slightly. of course you were still burdened with the current issue involving soobin, but you were at least grateful that you could distract yourself outside of the office.
turning on your phone, your heart went from pounding nervously to breaking instantly.
still no reply.
if you weren't self-conscious about the security cameras watching your every move, you surely would have broken down then and there.
you let your thoughts run during the time it took you to travel down the elevator, and, by the time you were exiting the building doors, you found yourself feeling empty rather than anything at all.
with an absent mind, and a shattered heart, you ended up taking the bus all the way back to your apartment. there was no way you could even think about doing anything else, so you much preferred to lay in bed and sulk for the rest of the day.
"woah, y/n, you're home early?" your roommate, chaewon, stated in more of a confused question at the sight of you.
she had a free schedule today from uni, so she opted to stay home all day and binge watch netflix dramas.
you only nodded in a response, taking off your shoes in the doorway and beginning to trudge your way to your bedroom.
"hey now, where do you think you're going?" chaewon called out, immediately pausing the drama that was on and rushing to block your path to your bedroom. "what's wrong?"
at first, you wanted to lie and say you were merely exhausted and got sent home early to rest ... but you desperately needed to talk to someone, and you found yourself falling into her arms for a more-than-needed embrace.
"i think i ruined everything," you mumbled in shame.
"everything with what?" chaewon asked softly, now using her tiny hand to soothingly pat your back for comfort.
"with soobin," you whined, pulling away in order to quickly cover your eyes in order to physically stop any tears from falling.
chaewon was the only one of your friends that you told about your feelings for soobin, yet you still felt embarrassed having to admit it out loud to her. it felt especially worse knowing that you screwed everything up only one day after you told her.
"aww, y/nie, i guarantee that you didn't. tell me what happened," your best friend cooed, guiding you carefully to sit on the sofa.
dropping your hands and taking a deep breath, you confessed all of yesterday's events to her. about the botanical park, going to his dorm after work, and even up to you kissing his cheek before you left.
surprisingly, she was still smiling in amusement while you felt worse having to retell it. "wait, i don't get it. why do you think that ruined everything?"
without saying a word, you pulled out your phone and opened your messages with soobin to hand over to her. "because he's barely talking to me now."
you watched chaewon's amused smile drop to a look of confusion before finally contorting into one of disgust as she read over the small exchange from this morning. she glanced up at you, back at the phone, then at you once again. "made other plans? if i'm not busy? what kind of asshole is this guy?!"
"what? no! no, he's not ..." you found yourself still defending him. it was your fault that he had to make excuses to avoid you, you knew better than to label him as anything other than the sweetest boy you ever met.
"y/n, are you kidding? instead of being mature and talking to you, he gave you shit excuses to avoid you! this is a grade A asshole, if you ask me," chaewon insisted, still looking down at the messages between the two of you.
"... he didn't even ask if i got home safe ... or good morning, like he usually does...," you found yourself shamefully admitting aloud, starting to convince yourself that maybe chaewon had somewhat of a point.
"see? exactly!"
"but that doesn't make him an asshole! look at our messages before, he's so sweet to me and i really ... i really like him, chae," you told her, pouting desperately.
she did as you said and read briefly over your previous messages together. she could agree that you both were sickeningly sweet to each other, but that didn't excuse his terrible behavior from how he acted towards you today.
"regardless, y/n. if he didn't feel the same way, or if he did feel uncomfortable, then all he had to do was tell you like an adult," she explained, handing your phone back to you. "for him to avoid you like this makes him a child."
you said nothing, only staring at his read receipts until your phone automatically locked and left you staring at your reflection.
the pit in your stomach only deepened. you had hoped that talking it out with your best friend would make you feel better, you didn't account for the fact that her words may end up making you feel worse.
chaewon sensed this for herself and made sure to pull you in for another hug. as terrible as it made her feel to see you this way, she knew that you needed to hear straight up honesty rather than sugar-coated false hope.
then, she got a brilliant idea.
"you know what?" she spoke up, pulling away to look at you directly with a bright smile on her face. "i know this great guy from class that i know you'll get along with really well. i can talk to him and set you both up for a date tonight?"
"oh ... chae, i don't know," you mumbled, truly unsure.
it didn't feel right to move on so quickly. you just realized your feelings for soobin, but to suddenly turn around and meet with some other guy? it felt ... wrong.
then again, you both were just friends. hell, maybe after last night, not even that. there was nothing connecting the two of you together, so it wouldn't hurt to at least give chaewon's offer a chance.
"okay, sure, why not?"
・❥・
"i'm just supposed to ... wait?"
that evening, soobin was walking past the coffee shop that you two usually meet at together, running over yeonjun's plan one more time before he saw you.
"yes! the element of surprise is important here. when she sees you, she'll realize how much she missed you all day," yeonjun explained on the other end of the phone, smirking proudly to himself for devising such a plan.
soobin contemplated the idea in his head, thinking yeonjun did kind of have a point. as horrible as it felt to not talk to you the entire day, he desperately prayed that this plan would work out the way yeonjun had said it would.
when soobin finally found himself standing in front of his father's company building, he gazed up to see that the lights were still on at the top floor.
"okay, i'm here," he announced to yeonjun, finding a tree to lean against while he waited.
"alright, you got this! you can thank me later!"
with that, the two boys hung up, leaving soobin alone with his thoughts and pounding heart while he waited for you to come out.
as he waited, he began rehearsing how he would greet you in his head. he even went as far as to plan answers to questions he couldn't even be entirely sure that you'd ask.
"yeah, i was just with this girl from my class ... no, what the fuck, that's stupid," soobin grumbled to himself, hitting his own forehead in frustration.
yeonjun suggested that he bring up another girl for the jealousy tactic, but soobin didn't even talk to any girls from his class - unless you counted the professors. besides, he didn't want you to think there was another girl anyway.
all he wanted was you.
eventually, an hour passed, and soobin was beginning to grow antsy.
was his father making you work late?
his gaze traveled back up to the top floor, freezing once he realized that the lights were now shut off. this hindered his plan slightly.
if the lights were off, that implied that you would be walking down with his father, and neither of you wanted his father any more involved than he already was.
looking around in a panic, soobin spotted a thicker tree a short ways away to hide behind, suddenly feeling absolutely pathetic.
what if you didn't even come this way?
peeking from around the tree, he watched the front doors and automatically spotted his father and mr. jeong exiting the building.
... where were you?
leaning further out for a better look, soobin didn't spot you at all. he didn't see you exiting the building shortly after either. if the top floor lights were off, that meant you weren't still left working.
where were you?!
he absolutely hated himself. he didn't get to talk to you all day, and, now, he missed you entirely after work.
in his panic, ignoring yeonjun's voice yelling at him in his head for steering away from the plan, soobin pulled out his phone and immediately dialed your number.
voicemail.
one more time.
voicemail.
okay, one more time again ...
voicemail.
soobin dropped his hand in defeat, his grip on the phone loosening until the device completely fell to the ground.
if you weren't answering, what did that mean? did he make you upset? was following yeonjun's advice a huge mistake?
realizing that staying there was completely pointless now, soobin gathered himself and began to walk back to the bus station. he had never felt worse in his life until now. an entire day gone to waste.
in contrast to yeonjun's plan, it was soobin who deeply missed you.

CHOI YEONJUN HAS KNOWN YOU FOR YEARS. He’s known you since you were a sophomore in high school, when Beomgyu introduced the two of you to one another. He’s known you since you were just a shy, well-dressed flute player in the high school’s band who didn’t like him very much. He’s known you for a lot longer than he realized.
Back then, Yeonjun didn’t blame you for not liking him. After all, the only thing you really knew about him was that he was the son of the CEO of one of the biggest fashion companies, and he had become used to the assumptions that came with that. “Spoiled”, “pretentious”, “out of touch”, he’d heard it all before, and it was no surprise that you thought the same thing. On top of him not blaming you, he also didn’t care what you thought about him. You were just Beomgyu’s friend, someone he wasn’t going to be seeing a lot, so what did it matter?
But, he did start to see you a lot. Every time Beomgyu planned something, whether it be a birthday party, or a trip to the local fair, you would be there, and so would he. The more he found himself around you, the more and more Yeonjun started to enjoy being around you, and the more he wanted to make you realize he wasn’t some spoiled asshole like everyone thought he was. Then, eventually, he noticed you start to warm up to him, and hate him less and less.
But, then you started to pull away from him again. Your senior year, you and Beomgyu had one last band performance before you graduated and left the group behind forever. Naturally, Yeonjun, Soobin, Kai and Taehyun all decided to go and support Beomgyu, but also to support you as well. And, to show his full support, and secure you as a friend once and for all, Yeonjun bought you flowers.
Apparently, that had been a mistake. As the second he gifted you the bouquet, you locked up, and became just as shy as you were when the two of you first met. It was like years of progress had gone down the drain, and he was right back where he started. He couldn’t ever figure out what he had done to make you return to disliking him. Had the flowers been too extravagant, and came off as him flaunting his wealth? Had the gesture made you uncomfortable, and he miscalculated how close you two were? Whatever it was, a part of him wished he had never given you those flowers.
But why? Why was it so important to him that you liked him? Ever since he’d first told his friends he was determined to get you to like him—or Chat Noir—and they’d brought up the question, it had played through his head over and over again. And now, as he sits on the railing outside your apartment window, watching you pace around your living room, it’s especially troubling him.
You looked stressed out, just like Beomgyu had told him earlier. You were pacing back and forth, nibbling on one of the KitKats he had left for you, with a measuring tape hung around your neck. Suddenly he felt bad. He really hoped he wasn’t adding to your stress, and making things worse for you. He was at least glad to see that you were enjoying the KitKats, though, judging by the pile of wrappers next to your couch.
He leaned forward and tapped his knuckles against the glass, finally capturing your attention. You jumped at the noise, dropping the candy onto the floor, and he couldn’t help but giggle at the shocked expression on your face. The word cute crossed his mind.
“Hi, Y/N.” He greeted you once you’d opened your sliding door to let him in, a playful smile creeping onto his lips. “Enjoying the KitKats I see?” He hopped down and followed you into your little apartment. He found himself scanning the space, taking it all in, since he didn’t imagine he would be back here anytime soon.
“No, not really.” You replied, bending down to pick up the small pile of wrappers. He put his hands on his hips and watched as you carried the wrappers to the trash to toss them in. When he was around you as Yeonjun, you were never this nonchalant. If he’d been standing in your living room, he imagined you wouldn’t speak to him, probably go stand in a corner and avoid him the entire time. Maybe you didn’t dislike Chat Noir as much as he thought you did.
He cleared his throat. “So…”
“So…” You echoed, making your way back over to him. “We can just do some measurements now. And then, you can tell me your ideas, then you leave and I get to work.”
“Or, I can stay and we can talk about our places in the universe together.” He suggested, picking up an old candle that was sitting on your side table and giving it a whiff.
You rolled your eyes, and for a brief moment, he finds the action familiar. “As delightful as that sounds, I have stuff to do.” You gave him a tight lipped smile, then took the candle from his hands and set it down.
“That smells really good, what is that?” He asked you.
You lifted his arm, and slid the tape off your neck. “Champagne, or something, I’m not sure. My best friend gave it to me for my birthday.” You answered with a shrug.
He nodded, then continued to glance around your apartment while you started to measure him. Then, his eyes landed on a picture on top of your entertainment center. It was from the night of your band recital, a picture of you, Beomgyu, Heeseung, Sieun, Jeongin, Soobin and himself. You were standing in the middle, holding onto the bouquet for dear life. He couldn’t believe how young you looked, even though it was only a few years ago.
An idea popped into his head.
“Is that you and Choi Yeonjun?” He asked, and you froze.
“What?” You spoke slowly, then turned your head to follow his gaze over to the picture. “Oh. Yeah, it is.” He watched as your cheeks reddened, and you turned your focus back to your measurements.
“I didn’t know you two knew each other. He’s a good friend of mine.”
“He is?” You snapped your head up to look at him, furrowing your eyebrows together.
“Oh, yeah, for sure. He doesn’t talk about me?”
You glanced away again. “Oh, I wouldn’t know. We don’t talk very much…”
He frowned. It was true, the two of you didn’t talk very much, but it still hurt a bit to hear it. “Really? Why not? I know he can be a bit annoying, but—“
“He’s not annoying.” You quickly cut him off, and he raised his eyebrows at that. “It’s just… I don’t know. It’s complicated.” You mumbled, and he watched you curiously as you turned away to scribble some numbers down.
Complicated. What about him was so complicated for you?
“Let’s talk about something else, hm? Like… What are you thinking about for the new suit?” You queried, and he noticed the redness in your cheeks slowly fading. He wanted to know more, to press you further for your thoughts on him, but it was clear you didn’t want to discuss it, and making you uncomfortable was the last thing he wanted.
“You ever seen a fursuit?” He joked, and you slowly looked up to give him a deadpan look. “I’m kidding. Honestly, Y/N, I am giving you full creativity. I want you to do whatever you think will look best, I trust your decisions.” He told you with a smile.
You frowned. “Are you sure? There’s nothing in particular you want?”
“Well… My only request is that you make it super sexy.” He told you with a wink, and you once again rolled your eyes. “I’m kidding! …Kinda.”
“You are so annoying…” You muttered, returning to your notebook to write something down. “Okay, can you lift both your arms for me?”
He obeyed, and raised both of his arms so he was standing in a T-pose. You stretched out your measuring tape and leaned forward to wrap it around his back. As you did so, your face came dangerously close to his own, and for whatever reason, he felt his breath hitch in the back of his throat. His face began to warm as you took a step back, wrapping the measuring tape around his chest and gently brushing your fingers against his muscle. He was sure you could feel his heart slamming against his rib cage.
Had you always been this pretty up close? Had you always looked so cute when you were focused, with your eyes squinted, and your tongue poked against the side of your cheek? Had you always smelled this good, like fresh strawberries and honey?
Suddenly, Yeonjun was in full on panic mode. Was this why it was so important to him that you liked him? No, he was probably just upset after Ladybug had completely rejected him, and just mind was desperate to find somebody else to cling to. There was no way that he had unknowingly been harboring feelings for you all this time, right? You, Choi Beomgyu’s shy friend, who played the flute in  high school band. It was impossible.
And yet, here he was, staring down at you with wide eyes, secretly hoping you would stay right there just a little bit longer. Here he was, eyes drifting down to your lips, and becoming well aware of the close proximity between you too. If he just bent down, just a little bit, if he just—
You must have been able to sense his sudden change in demeanor, as your eyes flickered up to meet his own. “Um, you okay?” You asked, blinking up at him.
No, absolutely not, he thought.
“Y-Yeah, I’m fine.” He stuttered out, giving you a forced smile. You eyed him suspiciously, but didn’t say anything, instead returning your focus to your measurement. And then you released the tape, and took a step back, and he felt a wave of relief wash over him. “Um, is that the last one you needed?”
“No, I need one more, why—?”
“I just remembered I have important Chat Noir duties to do! Ladybug actually asked me to do something, and I totally forgot about it! Stupid cat, right?” He laughed, stepping away from you and walking towards the window.
“Ladybug asked you?”
“Yes, Ladybug! She’s always asking me to do stuff! Honestly, a bit of a nag if you ask me. Haha.” He slid open your sliding door and poked his head out, relieved by the feeling of the cool air against his hot face. He couldn’t stay there any longer, not in your tiny little apartment where there was nowhere to run. The longer he was in proximity with you, the more insane he was going to go, he thought. There was no way he was going to stick around, and let the subconscious need for a rebound (that was surely the cause of his sudden attraction for you) be taken out on you.
“Wait, it’s seriously just one more, can’t you just let me do it?” He was too afraid to look back at you, but he could practically feel the confusion radiating off of you.
“Sorry, no time! We’ll do it later!” He told you, then leapt off of your balcony.
No, there was absolutely, positively, no way Choi Yeonjun had feelings for you.
