Part 2 of the Christmas Special, in which every day, until Christmas day, I will post a video requested by you.
2/25
Favors and Promises - requested by Pat Massie (Facebook).
Bert and Cec are a treasure. They love helping miss Fisher with any odd jobs that need to be done. But, every now and then, miss Fisher asks them to do her a few tiny little favors. And they happily oblige. Especially Bert, since he's the one who usually gets to play the part, while Cec gets to sit on the side and enjoy the show. These two can definitely spread the joy with their crankiness.

I knew someone was gonna send me this one (bless you!) and I knew I’d have an impossible time choosing one favorite. Phryne is the undisputed superhero of this series, and I love her SO MUCH. But my love is nearly as great for basically every single other character—Jack! Mac! Dot!! JANE. Dr. B! Bert! Cec! Aunt P! Even Hugh, despite how often his character is handed the idiot ball, is so precious to me.
That said, I have a huge soft spot for Cec. He’s a little bit of an underdog, in that doesn’t get quite as much attention and love from the fandom as Bert. It’s understandable, since Bert gets a few more storylines, and Cec is the straight man most of the time, and quieter and more laid-back. But almost the first thing we learn about Cec is that he has a habit of bringing home strays who need help, and before he’s really even spoken with Alice, he doesn’t want to leave her alone in the hospital so he sits vigil by her bedside. Cecil Yates is a kindhearted unflappable Hufflepuff with a beautiful singing voice and I bet he gives great hugs.
gif by @sheldonslog (x)
I had a really hard time finding gifs of Cec and now I kind of want to request that someone make a gifset of him because I couldn’t find a single one of just him. So if any Miss Fisher gifmakers are reading this and feel inspired… :)
Thanks, Cecil! (Total coincidence, lol!)
send me 💕 + a fandom and i’ll tell you my favorite character!
Detective Inspector Jack Robinson faces intense scrutiny when the Victorian Police Force deals with increased public pressure as news of police corruption linked to recent murders and a high-profile criminals escape from prison are sensationalized by the press. What will Jack do when he discovers the Honourable Phryne Fisher is implicated in Murdoch Foyle’s escape from prison?

Part 6 of the Christmas Special, in which every day, until Christmas day, I will post a video requested by you.
6/25
BFFs 💖 - requested by Patricia Delker, who wanted to see the scenes with memorable Bert and Cec exchanges
Bert and Cec are best friends. And they have similar tastes and always think alike. Except when it comes to their boss's boots. Or football. Or settling down. Well, on a second thought, they couldn't be more different. But they're best friends.
Music and clip bits in this video:
1. Bill Nighy as Billy Mack - Christmas is all around (Love Actually)
2. AFL - The best moments of the season (2018)
3. The Fans - Ole, Ole, Ole (The name of the game)
Bert and Cec are so in tune. Even when they are furious at each other, they have each other’s back. It’s so effortless. So natural. They even fight in time with each other. No wonder Bert is feeling so threatened by Cec’s relationship with Alice. They are each other’s person in every way.
I was literally like- why is Bert hanging with other people? Where is Cec? Is he lost? Is Bert lost? Then some dude got run over and I was like- SEE. YOU GLORIOUS IDIOTS NEED TO BE TOGETHER OR THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS.
Look, I’m sorry but yall really trusted that Bert Johnson, an absolutely loyal, glorious pitbull of a man would just sit back and wash his cab? He probably rode in on CECIL’S BLOODY BACK.
I only got a couple of minutes to watch the first bit of 1x07 before work, unfortunately I had to edit something last night and didn’t get to watch. But can I just say that Bert and Cec having a brew at the pub together like they weren’t having a full on lovers quarrel an episode and a half ago is #relationship goals?
The neat stack of clothes was folded on the bed when he closed the door quietly behind him. Standing out like a beacon he didn't understand. He stared at it. Forehead a bloody crevasse of frowns as he tried to work through it.
But it was the same collection of thoughts that ran through his head.
If he lived here, why were his clothes in another room?
Where was the rest of his things?
Why did it feel like this room was exactly what Alice had said before correcting herself?
A guest room.
And if it was, and if he really did live here, where did he normally sleep?
Just putting it out there but if ya wanna do ya girl a solid and put some more bert and bert and cecil gif sets into the universe I will write your ass a phrack or other character/pairing related drabble.
