I am not always motivated to workout, sometimes I really cannot be bothered! But you know what wins motivation? Discipline. You have to force yourself to do it even when you don’t feel like doing it and that’s how you find the motivation ironically enough! . I can guarantee you that none is motivated to workout every single week but I get myself to do it anyway even on those days when I don’t feel like doing anything because I know I am better than that and I deserve to achieve what I dream of! If you want something you have to put in the work! #Repost @chiara_pugliesi • • • • • • Salford Quays How to engage your glutes more during your leg workouts ⬇️ . ✅ Spend extra time warming up - you want to make sure you wake those muscles up properly and get them all ready for your session. Spend some time doing banded exercises such as fire hydrants, banded squats etc. This step is key when you are lifting heavy . ✅ Play with your foot stance. Sometimes slightly rotating your feet outwards or taking a wider stance will help you target your Glutes more so make sure you play with the position of your feet to find out which one works more for your body . ✅ Add isometric holds to your exercises. For example during the eccentric phase of your squat (when you descend down) squeeze and hold for 3 seconds , same thing for hip thrusts (when you squeeze at the top hold for 3 secs) . ✅ Pre-exhaustion technique. I tend to do just 1 set of a quick banded exercise before a really heavy lift.
