CONFESSION:

As someone who is a person of color and after having endured the worst fandom experience of my life when playing BG3, seeing Davrin felt so great and seeing the devotion and care they put into texture hair and the skin tones literally made me cry tears of joy. And before people get mad at this post yes there is racism in the DA Fandom but after my recent experience it is nowhere near the level of what it is in the BG3 fandom. I can't wait to play the new game and I can't wait to spend hours with the character creator.

I just love the idea of pre-tadpoled Durge being so intense and repressed- their real emotions can only be implied between gritted teeth. And post lobotomy they come back unable to keep their thoughts to themselves, particularly around Gortash, giving him all these nice touches and compliments they couldn’t before, just admitting how they really think because they can’t remember to be embarrassed.

Durge: We were in love, weren’t we?

Gortash: …erm

Durge: Oh shit, we didn’t say it out loud?

Gortash: No. Instead, you said things like you would kill me last upon your fathers alter.
